❛ AGATSUMA-SAN !! ❜ Dawn has barely broken and Zenitsu would be rudely awoken by a shrill cry and an elbow to the stomach as Ritsu clambered over him to the other side of the room they shared. ❛ Kill it, kill it !! Please !! ❜ "It" being the roach scuttling around on Ritsu's previously occupied futon.

“ ufufufu.. why yes nezuko-chan!! i would love another cup of tea, thank you!! ”

          A smile adorned sleeping features as he talked incoherently.. He was indulging in the dream currently dominating his reality as small quantity of drool escaped him.. The only thing illuminating the room was the moonlight streaming delicately through the open window.. It was a pleasant night, a cool yet comfortable breeze swept in every now and then, providing fresh forest air, and bugs along with toads sang nearby filling the atmosphere with an orchestra of natural sounds.. The dream Zenitsu was experiencing was just the topping on the cake, making it what he would define as a perfect night. That is, until he heard a shriek accompanied by a stabbing sensation in his stomach, completely knocking the wind out of him and tearing him from the reality he would’ve preferred to never leave. Eyes snapped open and the bubble indicating his state of consciousness popped with an unpleasant snort as he sat up with a quickness that almost appeared painful..

“ SNHHgCk—!!  WUH…  HUHG??  WHAT—?!  ”

          Head whipped around, absorbing the information relayed to him that suggested he was indeed sleeping until his eyes met with a very frightened Ritsu in the corner of the room, begging he kill something.. A panicked expression manipulated his face as he thought perhaps some form of dangerous creature ( aka a demon ) happened to climb into the room. But before he could jump to the ceiling like a terrified cat, he noticed the roach climbing about on the younger slayer’s futon, and his expression shifted drastically.

“ Y-YOU WOKE ME UP FOR THAT?? ”

          It was a little odd.. He’d rarely seen Ritsu present himself in such a way.. Usually he held himself with a very particular sternness.. He never would’ve guessed he was scared of a roach of all things.. But that’s not what was influencing his state of mind the most.. He was more concerned with the fact he was woken from a very pleasant dream!!  What a shame..!!  Unfortunately, he wasn’t cruel enough to simply leave the panicked boy to deal with the roach alone ( seeing as he actually seemed terrified by the creature ). His entire frame drooped in defeat momentarily before trying to shake the exhaustion plaguing him. With a kick, he broke free of the covers that previously hugged him and clumsily got to his feet. Finally, upon reaching the futon with the bug, he spared one last tired glance at the other before leaning down and resting a hand on the ground next to the creature. 

           After about fifteen seconds of effort, it delicately climbed on, antennae twitching with curiosity as it looked about the room in its new perspective settling into the warm palm. A sigh of relief escaped the blond as he walked over to the window and lowered his hand for the roach to be reintroduced to the world outside. Without hesitation, it hopped onto the windowsill and proceeded to a bush planted just next to it….. Now that that was over with, he stomped back to his futon with a purpose, burying himself in the covers and offered an exasperated HUFF.

“ Now don’t wake me up again. ”
