So Rhea’s speech about how she is the last or “final” child of the progenitor god carries a lot more weight in Japanese, I feel. (source)

She’s not just the youngest she’s the last in a godly dynasty - a pantheon, and that and her name referring to Purity makes me think Sothis knew what she was doing when she created the final Nabatean.

The Immaculate One is a clever translation of Rhea's The White One moniker because both clearly refer to the role of La Papesse she plays in the story and in the game’s tarot imagery but I think the real meaning of The Immaculate One’s purity is purity of power. Just comparing her to her siblings (1, 2) in size and strength there’s no contest, and I think the game makes that very clear the few times we see her in dragon form (so much so they had to frid- i mean agarthan cold storage her for part two)

So what are you saying, Nel? Did Sothis create Rhea as her child or as a weapon, and I’m saying both. She did both. For the future of Fódlan, after all… I think mother and daughter are more alike than we may realize.

In any case, the chance of Rhea having any childhood at all really is slim with this headcanon but her coming to adolescence during the War of Heroes… agh, it puts stuff into perspective

It makes sense Rhea is so desperate from her mother when she was born during a war directly after which her mother, the goddess, went into a deep sleep she never came out of thanks to Nemesis huh.

In general, what gets me is The Immaculate One is always known as a Guardian of Fodlan. Only the Agarthans ever call her a beast. Even Claude reminisces that everyone at Garreg Mach who saw the giant white beast thought it a boon or protection from the goddess. I think that speaks volumes.
