1: Origins! How did you come up with the concept for your OC?

… listen this is only going to be the main muses otherwise we’d be here for eternity

EMRYS;;he has roots in a few ocs i had before in the past, including but not limited to the angel of secrets, a hired assassin, && a punk ass bad boy on the block. his conception also literally can be broken down to the following questions:

- what would happen if i made a canadian muse but he was a fucking asshole?- immortality is considered godmoddy but like… if all you can do is die, is it a godmod?- is it possible to just be straight up conceited for no reason?

ROMAN && ARAMIS;;they kind of have to come together bc they are also based on past muses that always come together. in at least one past life, roman was a hunter && aramis was his younger brother who had been bitten by a werewolf but was too scared to tell him. aramis also has roots in another muse who was a mutant with reality distortion && molecule substitution who was shunned from his hometown because he scared away one of the children he was trying to connect with. after that though, they kind of just??? grew on their own which was super fascinating to experience.

fun fact: i just found the muse page for the original version of ari && his name was actually aramis roman viiperi so there’s that.

PHOENIX;;he’s based on one of my first mutant muses. not much has changed, other than the fact that he no longer has two brothers, both of which are equally messed up. in this version, i basically packed all that fucked up into one muse! great right???

TZVI;;he’s very minimally based on yet another past muse. but gosh what was his original conception? what made me bring him back??? i’m honestly not sure. all i know is that he’s grown into a big ball of sunshine && i love him very much thnx

JAE && SIRIUS;;one def was a result of the other && the first was jae. well, the reason i first started thinking about him was definitely that i wanted spy threads. but then it got me thinking about the idea behind the apotheosis project && this desire to create something perfect and god-like. which in turn made me think—well, what if they tried to create a top tier, “ perfect ” human? which was how the coeus plan with jae && sirius came tumbling out. && i’m 40% sure that jae became jae bc YOU (deathclaiimed’s writer) offered up ji chang wook && i was fucking SMITTEN OKAY

then i was watching janelle monae’s music videos for a class && saw miguel in one of them && was super shocked that there were no rp icons??? so i made some??? then i was like fuck it, lemme use him for something && sirius was born. also, i enjoy both of them bc there a cool exploration into narcissism && what causes someone to be so self-assured, too. 

this whole thing where they’re shipped together came outta nowhere ok so leave me alone that was their own doing

HARPER;;i watched the movie hanna && got thinking tbh && thought about making a muse that had a similar feel in that he’s basically trained to be a killer but he’s soft && honestly just wants to be loved at the end of the day && is kind of trying to figure out where he fits into the world.

RAVI;;I’VE SAID THIS ONCE && I’LL SAY IT AGAIN: ravi is all emrys’ fault bc i was thinking of a muse like emrys in that he’s confident && smart but actually??? cares about people??? so ravi came rolling out && emrys has been a jealous older brother since tbh

i just didn’t expect him to be so angsty. i mean, considering his background, you’d be like duh summer what did you expect? but it totally caught me off guard && i didn’t expect that story to sort of unfold??? but yeah, now you have… whatever ravi is

ELIAS;;ah. a classic muse. tbh i’m not TOO sure what incited his creation but it definitely had something to do with a lawful good that travels all over the world. i think i really liked that idea, that he was an explorer && just so… chill you know???

TIERNAN && FINLEY;;i think the two of them probably had their start as very brief twin witches some time ago. they reappeared, one twin alive && the other dead, but one of them was a medium && they kind of carried their brother around everywhere. i dropped them for a little bit, then i heard ed sheeran’s you need me i don’t need you && tiernan sort of reappeared, but this time finn was alive. their personalities swapped, i’m pretty sure but the relationship has otherwise stayed largely the same. except for all the other fucked up things about finn, which was also. a surprise tbh
