THOMAS SHELBY OF THE PEAKY BLINDERS

From cockiness to being a member of a gang, Mitchell is much alike Thomas Shelby. Similarities between the two men are uncanny -- both of them formed an addiction that plays a vital part of their lives, both of them zealots in their beliefs and devotedness to the cause, both of them building the life they always dreamed of. 

There is an implied shift in personality for Thomas once he was back from the war and same did happen to Mitchell after taking a life for the first time -- both of them became more ruthless, more efficient problem solvers, eager and ready to do whatever it takes to survive.

Much like Thomas, Mitchell is always ready to do what it takes to protect the people that he cares about and that he considers family -- for Thomas, that is his family, and for Mitchell -- The Strix.
