        𝐍𝐚𝐨𝐭𝐨 𝐙𝐞𝐧'𝐢𝐧 (visual concepts // short bio): When  one  thinks  of  inheritance,  they  think  of  possessions,  wealth,  but  for  Naoto  he  dreamed  of  a  higher  standing.  A  child  of  shadows  that  was  born  into  the  Zen’in  Clan,  the  middle  of  Naobito’s  sons,  he  knew  from  an  early  age  to  contend  &&  show  his  worth  amongst  the  many  who  would  try  to  grab  his  birthright.  Devoted,  skilled,  loved,  he  would  spend  his  early  years  in  the  arms  of  his  mother  who  sated  each  emotional  need  the  fragile  boy  held.  In  return,  he  gave  her  unwavering  devotion,  agonizing  through  the  grueling  militaristic  training  boys  of  the  Zen’in  clan  would  endure  for  a  shred  of  glory.  Within  his  early  20’s,  Naoto  was  given  a  chance  to  lead  the  Hei  with  his  older  brother  for  whom  he  would  never  stray  from,  never  would  he  think  the  usurper  would  be  by  blood.  Stripped  of  his  social  standing,  he  was  deemed  a  useless  son,  too  gaudy,  too  flashy,  too  much  of  everything  &&  the  small  but  quaint  world  of  his  was  shattered. 

    A  loveless  marriage  while  thrust  into  intel  gathering,  Naoto’s  life  was  void,  hollow,  he  was  free  to  pursue  whatever  he  wanted  -  nothing  mattered  anymore.  Spiteful  to  the  very  end,  he  would  support  his  younger  brother’s  claim  as  the  heritor  of  the  Zen’in  Clan  solely  because  it  was  willed.  A  man  that  strived  for  structure,  tradition,  a  relic  of  yore,  all  he  had  was  a  faithful  attendant  that  would  not  leave  him  even  in  his  sorrow  &&  madness.  Now,  in  his  older  years,  he  still  stands  a  formidable  opponent,  lurking  within  the  shadows  &&  slaughtering  his  enemies  in  a  precision  that  a  sword  would  be  envious  of.  A  nothing  soul  that  wanders  the  ancestral  land,  a  wolf  without  claim,  ever  hungry  &&  ever  in  pursuit. 

     Naoto  specializes  in  the  reclamation  of  cursed  tools  &&  hand  to  hand  combat,  his  cursed  technique  relies  on  the  vantage  points  of  the  darkness,  manipulating  them  in  order  to  create  weaponry.  He  is  most  renowned  for  his  shadow  cache  where  he  tends  to  keep  tools,  he  is  never  not  armed,  all  assumptions  else  wise  are  considered  one’s  own  fatal  flaw.

I need to desperately write the OC bios, till then, here are some small blurbs.

Naoto Zenin, former head of the Hei, 42 years old, middle child of Naobito, dejected - stripped of his title, a mama’s boy who is no longer favored thus leading to deep insecurity / rejection. He is considered ‘flashy, gaudy, tacky’ in his stylistic choices in order to blend in with the rest of modern society. Once he lost his ranking with his older brother, he became wayward && somewhat rogueish. Naoto is meant to resemble Inugami, he is volatile && should never be trusted in political alliances as he cares only for himself && his eldest brother. His death during the Zen’in massacre is tragic on the basis he wished to warn his mother to flee but didn’t make it in time. Prior, he has two children both boy && girl, surprisingly, he genuinely loves them. Kobayashi Hatsuko, 41, youngest daughter to Kobayashi Sumiko, the weakest of the Clan although the reigning Matriarch. She was once Gion’s most infamous Geiko, beloved for her charming conversations, the natural ability of dance, but loathed for her materialistic greed. She is known primarily as the Lady of Gold Coin for clawing her way to succession through financial security leading her family into wealth one could only dream of. Never adjusted without her sister Anzu as she was eaten alive by their enemies && constantly fell into messes of relationships. There is a nasty rumor that she tried to escape her bloodline by taking on the name Fushiguro, birthing a son, then was dragged home after the death of her partner. Due to her arrogance, cruelty, and generally displeasing personality she refuses to confirm. The only descendant of Nure-Onna, she hand raised her sister’s offspring, thus, Hatsuko is known commonly for her childrearing within the family but despite her reputation she is respected highly. Gojo Itsuki, 47, dutiful son to the Gojo Clan, a well known healer in the mountains of Hokkaido who sired the Six Eyes. A towering imposing man known for his regality, soft speech, and gentle heart. He burns with an inferno to assure his clan survives embodying the spirit of his namesake; a great willow tree that shall not bend. In the face of other noble clans, Itsuki shows his teeth && holds strong to old values. Like most of the family, he shrouds himself in a white veil to hide from the heritor of the Six Eyes although his love never seems to end. The humble way he speaks as himself being nothing more than a lowly servant assuring their God ascends to the highest of the Heavens. Powerful in the usage of RCT, his talents are sought after even in his youth, Itsuki has survived several assisination attempts && seems to enjoy when other families wish for his demise speaking to a more sadistic side.
