And I think it works just as well.#Alright. It's time to confess something. I really struggled with this comic. I didn't want to draw it. Then I didn't want to upload it.#Because I knew I would be here in the tags writing and backspacing for hours trying to articulate my thoughts.#I'm going to talk about death and grief in the tags today so this is your WARNING to look away if you aren't in a headspace for it.#Sometimes in media there are scenes and characters which land on topics so specific to your wounds that it reopens them all over again.#Because here's the truth. When you've known someone like this for nearly your whole life...it doesn't matter how bad the fight is.#You always think 'We'll always have time. One day this dust will settle and we'll rebuild the bridge.'#And then the fucker dies!!! He dies and suddenly there will never ever be time to repair the rift.#Someone you loved died thinking you hated them. And part of you did just a bit. But love and hate aren't mutually exclusive.#He's fucking dead and you are left with so many broken and unfinished pieces between the two of you.#Jiang Cheng loses Wei Wuxian thinking that WWX thought they hated each other.#He's a younger brother who will one day be older than the person he lost.#Who has no one else in the world who understands those feelings of love and hate and grief.#I can't be normal about this character. I don't think he even heals me. Zero catharsis to be gained here.#I just look at his sour grape ass and think 'shit that's a little too close to home.' JC is my discomfort character.#I'm probably going to regret being this vulnerable in the tags in like. An hour. #i watch the first episode of death note and suddenly see the world in colour like in one of those fanfictions#now that ive collected a few of these i really am seeing such a pattern of my Media Type#it boggles the mind still that this series is something that feels like it was made in a lab specifically for me and i somehow didnt pick it#up until my twenties. i mean i maintain thats a good thing but still it's odd#like this feels like it should have been formative media for me but thank god it wasn't#rookposting#it is nice to be so into something that i feel like i can create for again#and thank you all for tolerating me slamming through your walls shouting about a twenty year old series

#mine#origami#jellyfish#that was what the hexagons were for did you guess ? :)#original model is by Beth Johnson and only the bell/umbrella is in one single sheet (hexagonal)#the tentacles are all added separately#I wanted to see if I could do it all with one sheet of paper so I used the exact same hexagon CP for the bell and simply placed it#at the center of a bigger square of paper#pretty glad of how it came out#tentacles would need some cleanup if I ever fold this again and I could workshop a frillier edge for the bell as well#still really nice this is the most elaborate modification of an existing model I've made#if you want to see the original model it's in origami aquarium by Makoto Yamaguchi p.200#it looks so cute... teensy jelly#I used elephant hide paper (my enemy) to use up this roll i've had#i thought it'd at least be nice to collapse the hexagon tessellation which it was but that's really the only nice part asdfgh#if I fold this again I'll use smth thinner so the tentacles aren't as bulky#and to hell with the cleanliness of the hexagons#honestly the paper tension works in your favor for thoses#they get tightened when you round out the umbrella instead of flattened out as I feared#so the elephant hide really isn't needed... as usual!#anyway enjoy :3

A comic about Sam and Max being trans guys, taking place at Sam's old job as a stewardess before he transitioned. Being that it's Sam & Max, weird ridiculous hijinks ensure.
So... After two years of working on this on and off, it's finished! I had posted pages as I was making them on here before but those posts are no longer on my blog- I actually redid most of the pages with new jokes and panels, and fixed a lot. I'm really proud of how far this has come. :)
