X'kijin's response was slow, given the circumstance. The lilt in his voice gave away his confusion, though he smiled all the same.

It was true that he knew Alisaie far better and that she had stolen his hair ties more than once when she'd misplaced one of hers. But Alphinaud wasn't so used to that. Perhaps he'd taken them from Alisaie in the past and that was why Alisaie had needed his, at times.

"It's just a hair tie," X'kijin said with a laugh. "You're not the only one that steals them. There's a reason I've got so many."
