Christ, speaking of healing in MMOs, I remember one of the first dungeons I did as a Scholar. Now I played a bit of scholar in heavansward, but not enough to really call myself someone who played it. I am a white mage main, healing philosophy between Scholar and White Mage is like night and day.

But I wanted to learn Scholar! So Sometime in stormblood, I start leveling it to really learn it. I pop leveling roulette and get sirensong sea. easy peasy. no problem.

Tank pulls reasonable until after the 2nd boss. “Hey SCH, you okay with big pulls?” 

so I say “I’m very new to SCH so I’d rather small. Thank you! :D”

THIS MOTHERFUCKIN TANK THO. They literally go “WELL THERE’S ONLY ONE WAY TO LEARN!!” and pulls the entIRE FUCKIN ROOM. My baby SCH ass is worked to their limits. I am practically threatening Eos with rouse and whispering dawn, because back then rouse buffed fairy skills! Emergency tactics is going off at every chance. I am spamming lustrates like crazy. Adlo is eating my MP but this tank is hemorrhaging HP like he has a bleeding disorder. I eat my fairy. I need aetherflow for more lustrates. I use all  of those. as a last ditch attempt I pop Largesse and start spamming physick and adlo. bc i am spent on everything. no aetherflow, no fairy, no nothing. Just me and my physicks and my shield. 

We survive. No one is dead. I am numb inside.

Tank looks at me and goes “And I didn’t even have to pop holmgang!”

no fuck off mr. big dick warrior. >:(
