Luck focused his eyes onto Melvi’s outstretched hand, considering for a moment what to do with it. He wasn’t much of a dancer – if anything, he’d consider himself the opposite of one. Yes, he could ballroom dance pretty decently, but he had only managed to pick up the bare basics of the concept. Dancing, overall, required a comfort and mobility in one's own body that Luck didn’t have. He was much too . . . stiff for it.

well, it’s not as if i know i’m a bad dancer or not. i’ve only ever entertained partners enough to feel i do about an average job, but . . . it isn’t my calling, that’s for sure.

If it weren’t for the fact Melvi was the one asking, Luck would’ve politely declined outright. He disliked the way people stared at him whenever he moved his way onto the dancefloor, and the awkwardness with which he moved his body always left him feeling nauseated. However, being that the room was scarce of observers and Melvi wasn’t the dancing sort himself . . . Luck figured it wouldn’t hurt to humor him, if only for a little while.

“ . . . i didn’t think you were the type. since when has dancing ever interested you? “ Giving Melvi his signature airy smile, Luck accepted his open palm and followed him out to the dancefloor – or, rather, an open space large enough for two people to dance in. This wasn’t a room meant for such a thing, but they could make due with what was in there – or, what wasn’t in there. The fact was the space was only large enough for them as there were barely any obstacles to hinder their paths, chairs & tables kept to the sides. Luck supposed, as long as they were mindful of the distance, they could get by without any sort of incidental bruising.

As if his January winter was forming into spring. Ah, but better not to think much about it though. After all, it was already enough he was giving Melvi the honor to dance with him, isn’t it?

hi! i was genuinely wondering how you planned to end mmf, i know you said you were gonna make a part 2 and 3 but did you have a specific idea of how it was supposed to happen? also if it’s okay to ask how do you think he would have proposed, not in great detail like the story but just a general idea (?) bc i kinda pictured it as a slightly on a whim thing and they’re just chilling on the couch one day and he’s like “let’s get married” and she’s like “fr 😧” bc idk i feel like that’s such a them thing to do ☹️ but i could also see him planning it out so detailed and him getting tripped up over his words because he’s so in love with her idk so many thoughts but it’s so so so so so good and the vows made me cry fr

yeah like the outline for part 2 was all set and it was gonna be just random cute slice of life scenes, with some more pivotal moments like the ex talk that y’all saw on one two things, a talk about toning down the banter after soonyoung starts changing a bit due to insecurities/his needs etc and it would end with him deciding it’s time to propose 🥺 there’s a time gap between the ending of mmf and where part 2 would start tho. and then part 3 would’ve been all wedding related and it would’ve ended with the vows but in a story manner hehe and since the vows were something that i really wanted to write, i decided to end with them, but differently. but actually their timeframe is built up in my head years and years ahead like i had decided when they’d have babies even akdjsjdjfk so the “planning” and the story in my head was defined for a lot more than what i was going to write.

as for the proposal, i think by the end of mmf that’s already kinda mentioned? wedding i mean. she says something like “we’re not getting married anytime soon” if my memory doesn’t fail me. so i think that they kind of knew for a while that it was gonna happen, it wad just a matter of time. so them on the couch and soonyoung saying “let’s get married” absolutely happens (more than once btw) but she’s just like “yeah but not now”. and at some point when they’re close to reaching 4 years together he just decides ✨ it’s time ✨. maybe somewhere around july? like he has a conversation with jihoon (kinda like the one he had after he first stayed over about him liking her) where he’s just like . i’m gonna do it . and then he starts planning to get it done in september. seokmin and jihoon are of big help and i’d be cute bc he’d be like 🥺 what if i mess up 🥺 around them (for everyone else he makes this huge facade of nah i’m fine i’m so confident) but they’re just very nice about the whole thing.

she’s into gestures and pda and just Grand things so even tho an intimate stuff in their living room would also please her, soonyoung wants to make it big and bold. especially as he’s also not the one to shy away from the spotlight. so he does a flash mob proposal 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

like he takes her to a park saying his students are gonna do a spontaneous performance. the students start dancing to whatever song and then it fades to september by earth wind & fire and he just. joins them. and honestly as soon as he joins she just knows what’s happening and starts crying lol their friends show up in the back with signs and balloons and just celebratory things. and it’s really hard for soonyoung not to cry too the second he sees her crying but she’s like half crying half smiling SO BIG so he just keeps this huge HUGE smile on his face while dancing with his students 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

and when the song is almost over he goes to her and pulls her and like spins her around a little and dances with her a bit and then :/ he gets down on one knee :/ and he stumbles on his words bc he’s just so excited and emotional and damn he just LOVES HER so much and he just wants to be around her forever :/ so he says a bunch of cute stuff and she’s just sobbing and eventually he starts crying a little too bc all of this is just a lot !!! and he’s so happy that he didn’t mess it up (maybe he made a mistake or two while dancing but just bc he couldn’t stop looking at her :/) and that she liked it and that she said yes :/
