Ever since she’d located the arrival area of this labyrinth of an airport she’d been restless, bouncing on her heels and pacing back and forth with a dire need to light up a cigarette, although now that she could hear Max's voice on the other end of the line her shoulders sagged with a warm giddiness. 

❝ I’m kidding, I -- really missed having you around, Max. ❞ she pauses with the firm certainty that her grin is every bit audible along with her words, before continuing with a playful tone. ❝ And hell no that ain’t sad to admit, being in touch with your feelings is about as punk rock as it gets. ❞

Chloe’s tone softens then, an almost mellow question leaving her lips, gaze still locked onto the wave of people arriving. ❝ How was the trip? You all in one piece? ❞
