The past rewritten itself (Qin Shi Huang)

This is actually one of my drafts that I have been keeping for a long time now so...ENJOY!!

Being an emperor has its perks. And being forced into a marriage well…that doesn't fit right. But that's what happens to Qin Shi Huang.

He doesn't really love y/n but he doesn't hate her either. Well…just imagine them as…friends yeah! Friends after all friends don't betray each other right!....right?

You were walking towards your husband's room to give him the homemade mooncake you made with the chef/baker in the kitchen.

As you get closer, you hear some…uh well what they call the unholy sounds.

You were shocked and you dropped the mooncake. Qin probably heard the thud quickly get up and rush to the ‘door’.

As he opened the ‘door’ he saw the mess on the floor and saw your figure running away.

He realizes his mistake and quickly runs after you. (after he clean himself)

From them on,you never talked to him. Making him well…obsessed on getting you to pay attention to him. (You don't know he kill the woman he slept with)

The more days passed he always saw you talking to that one guard. He was so jealous he decided to accuse you of cheating.

It was your birthday that the whole of China is celebrating.

As you were sitting there drinking. Qin Shi Huang suddenly stood up and stand In front of the others.

“My dear beloved country, I have something to announce.”

Everyone was waiting.

And finally…

“The empress is cheating on me”

A lot of ‘ooh’ and ‘aah’ can be heard.

You were shocked.

That's when people started to ‘boo’ at you.

Throwing you things and insulting you.

For a few days or weeks you have mental breakdowns; he even accused you of being pregnant with another man's child.

But what he didn't expect is for you to get kidnapped and be tortured by his people. He didn't know that they were so loyal that they dared to kidnap the empress and give her a ‘taste of her own medicine’

He realizes it when one of the old couples came to his throne room and reported it to him.

He asks his guard to check your chamber. But you were nowhere to be found.

Then, he received another news that you are getting executed In front of others.

He quickly left his palace and went to the town's square.

There…the people tied you up to the poles they made just for you. They put on a small flame to burn your legs.

You were screaming and crying and begging to be let go. Trying to tell them you were innocent.

But they wouldn't listen and continue to torture you slowly and painfully.

Then, the final punishment came.

He saw what was about to happen and quickly shouted

“NO!!!”

And stab you were stabbed already. Not once….but multiple times.

And finally your eyes as if looking at him…look at him with hurtful betrayal eyes.

You love him so much and yet…this is what you get all because you just want to give him a mooncake. Then, if you didn't bring the mooncake would you still be alive?

You were left there…dying slowly as blood started to spill out of you.

He manages to get on ‘stage’ and cradle you in his arms sobbing.

“No…y/n sob don't please!” The man cried.

As the crowd begin to lessen he carries you in his arms but he was stopped by the guards who later on snatched the corpse from him.

All he can do is watch you get taken away again.

This…is what happens when you frame your own wife. Saying that she's been sleeping with a lot of men and accusing her of carrying another man's child…

When in reality…it was you (talking about himself not readers) all along.

“are you sure he’ll like this phel?”

aphelios gently placed his hand atop yours with a reassuring squeeze. “of course he will.” came aphelios’ soft voice. his dark gray eyes shone with warmth. a small smile began to form on your lips at the sight. with a firm nod, you looked to the hat you held in your hands.

it was a dark maroon beanie you had hastily knit, as the debut for aphelios and the others’ band was quickly approaching. it felt right to give such a gift of encouragement to sett. alune had already gifted aphelios a new headset so he could properly edit the mixtapes he and the others made. there was a matching dark pin on the front of the beanie. carefully, you moved one of the floppy ears out of the way. there were three main symbols on the pin; a sun, a moon, and a star all interwoven in some way. you had thought it fitting for your guys’ relationship.

the sound of jangling keys caused both you and aphelios to look over to the front door. it swung open, sett quick to emerge with a tired sigh. aphelios gave your hand one final squeeze before going to greet sett. the taller male pressed a quick kiss against aphelios’ dark teal hair, his other hand going to give aphelios’ hips a small squeeze. “hey mooncake.” sett greeted gruffly. he unceremoniously dumped his dark duffle bag onto the floor next to the door. with the dark gray tank top and light gray sweats sett wore, it was easy to tell he had just come from the gym.

sett was quick to call your name out. his golden eyes scanned your figure, a brow raised in silent question. “you look worried. did something happen?” aphelios took sett’s larger hand in his own, guiding his boyfriend to where you were seated on the couch. your eyes darted to aphelios, full of uncertainty and hesitation. your lover only gave you a small nod, the faintest of smiles on his lips.

“everything’s… fine, i just…” you exhaled shakily. “here, come sit.” you scooted further onto one side of the couch, gently patting the spot next to you. the cushions shifted under sett’s weight as he got comfortable. with a shaky breath, you cleared your throat shortly after. slowly, you lifted the beanie into sett’s view.

“i, uh… made this for you. since you guys are having your debut soon, i wanted to give you something.” you reached upwards to carefully place the beanie atop sett’s head. you gently brushed out any of his damp crimson locks out of the way. afterwards, you sat across from your boyfriend with your hands folded in your lap, unable to stop yourself from fidgeting with your fingers. you had slanted the beanie a bit in the end, as sett’s hair wouldn’t allow you to properly straighten the edges. the pointed ears of the beanie now stood attentively, which looked quite cute on sett’s built figure.

sett’s gaze softed, a lax smile finding its way to his face. he was quick to wrap his arms around you and pull you into his embrace. the smell of old spice flooded your senses and it was anything but overwhelming. “it looks fuckin’ cute.” he told you. sett gave you a small squeeze, leaning down to press a kiss to your cheek. you giggled upon feeling the faint stubble on his chin graze your skin. “thank you. and you ain’t gotta be nervous when giftin’ me stuff. if it’s from you or phel, i don’t give a damn what it is. i’m just grateful you thought of me.”

you could feel your heart melting in your chest at sett’s words. you wrapped your arms around his torso in return, resting your head on sett’s chest with a growing smile. behind you, the couch dipped yet again. you looked over at aphelios, a warm look in his eyes at the two of you being so close. but there was another look in his eyes as well.

“nuh-uh, don’t you say it phel. i can see it in your eyes.” you huffed with a chuckle. aphelios gave a chuckle of his own, soon to wrap his arms around you with his hands resting atop sett’s. he rested his chin on your shoulder, pecking your cheek with a smile.

together, the three of you remained in a group hug until sett proposed properly cuddling inside his bedroom to which you and aphelios happily agreed.

The first time MK learned Yuebei was even a ribbon dancer was when he was doing deliveries and happened to pass by the dance hall, and they were being let out for practice. He recognizes Wukong and Yuebei even in their glamours, and of course gets distracted by their presence. He's super excited to see Yuebei perform for real, especially since she'd take every moment she could to practice while he and Uwkong trained.

He also learns about her asthma during an outing where she spent time at the Noodle Shop while Wukong was dealing with some boring stuff at home. She'd forgotten her inhaler, and when he found it, he flew all the way to Pigsy's Noodles to drop off the little canister with cute tiny stickers all over it.

The Noodle Gang were alle excited for Yuebei's performance and understood her anger. Altho, her dancing troupe certainly expected their most fragile member to suddenly transform into a raging demon monkey with fiery eyes because of the spiders attacking. And she definitely knows self defense, she's Wukong's daughter, and that's a given, so she was able to help quite a few of them escape before she got caught.

Spider Queen actually did a double take when she saw Yuebei, but one it clicked who this angry little monkey was she had the biggest grin. Oh, this was just PRECIOUS to her! Wukong's little girl is as fiery as her father! And wheezing. She should probably get that checked out. When Wukong dropped in (having been waiting with the others for Yuebei's performance when he learned the parents weren'tallowed in the parade) he took one look at Yuebei dangling from a web and immediately went on the attack.

This ended predictably.

LBD also noticed the strange way the web reacted to Yuebei, which is why she didn't move to help her. She was a threat, so she wasn't going to risk it. Not to mention her suffering brought Wukong pain, something she very much approved of. Later on, she'll devise a plan to try to use her, but for now, the girl can just sit and suffer.

Macaque is shook by the revelation that Wukong even had a daughter, but he doesn't have much time before the father-daughter duo are jumping from the mech themselves. Wukong's priority was to get Yuebei safe, never mind his ex being right there! If Macaque wanted to continue this later, he knew where to find him.

Spider Queen does have the grace to show concern and understand Wukong's rage when she later learns about Yuebei's asthma attack. She hadn't meant to harm her. Before that, she gets the ever loving shit beaten out of her thorax. Wukong's little girl had to be hospitalized and could have died. He was not in a merciful mood. SQ was lucky to even be alive, especially with DBK and the rest of the Gang right there as well.

Yuebei quickly discovers that she and her dad have been assimilated into the Noodle Gang troupe.

I think one way MK learns that Yuebei ribbon dances is during the "Calabash" episode. Jin and Yin are clearly inside a prop room of a theatre. Now I'm imagining the bros fighting over how to control the calabash projection for MK, only for a certain little monkey to pop in.

Yuebei: "Hey, have you guys seen the box of spare-" Jin & Yin: (*fighting over the calabash, having used all the spare dance ribbons for their planning board*) Yuebei: (*looks down and sees empty Pigsy's Noodles' containers and signs of a struggle*) Yuebei, realising what's going on: "Ugh..." Yuebei: (*readies to kick the twins' butts*) (*cut to after the butt-whooping where MK is free from the Calabash*) MK: "Phew! Thanks for the assist Monkey Princess!" Yuebei: "Don't call me that. And don't mention it." MK: "What were you doing around here any-" (*notices her outfit*) "-No way! Are you a dancer?! Do you kick butt using those fancy ribbon things?" Yuebei, embarrassed: "N-no! I just like the exercise!" Wukong, from the other room: "Mooncake! Your teacher is getting worried! Are you ok back there?" MK: "He's here too!?" :D!!

Yuebei tries to be aloof on the matter, but it's hard when MK has the personality of a friendly dog and is her dad's student. Wukong is happy to see MK and Mei going out of their way to include Yuebei in their shenanigans, even bringing her to the noodle shop for after practice lunch.

I love the details of her inhaler being covered in stickers - thats so cute!! There are sites that sell custom inhaler casings/skins for kids and adults, just a fun little change from the blues and browns.

You know MK gets some friendship points for helping Yuebei out with her kissing inhaler. No matter how much Yuebei tries to hide how touched she is by the action.

Tang and Pigsy go full uncle-mode on the little girl, glamour or known monkey, this is a friend of MK's. One that seems to really like Pigsy's spicier dishes, and knows a lot about Chinese folklore.

As for New Years...

LBD is a callous but calculating villain. She can tell that Wukong's weakling daughter hold some unknown power. A power that makes the witch... uneasy. If a lack of breath is this child's weakness, then LBD exploits it.

The Spider Gang, once they learn about Yuebei's asthma attack and LBD breaking her inhaler, all think its a major jerk move. The kid was already captured and helpless, no reason to break her medicine. In front of her dad no less! Spider Queen in particular is mortified.

No wonder the whole Spider Gang gets launched away Team Rocket-style at the end of New Years.

As for Macaque its more...

Wukong: "Look, I don't care what your problem is with me, but keep my daughter out of it." Macaque: "OUR daughter." Wukong: "Huh?" Macaque: "Wukong, I've seen her perform. That cannot have all come from you." Wukong: (*huffs but doesn't deny anything*)

Ugh, Ada supermodel... I should be happy but that only ever means weird male fans and girl fans that would dox me if I ever was down to earth about Ada as a person. I love her, but I also like the little circle of fans local to us right now. Since she's supermodel status now, she's probably going to be in Raccoon less and less. You know how the modeling life is.

Please don't stalk ANYONE. You don't need to stalk me down. If you know who I am, then surely you'll meet me eventually. Considering your language, we've probably already met before. Considering also the fact that you told me not to run off when you asked me for your number... I have a general idea of who you are as well. I still like writing letters to you, so I'd appreciate it if you just pursued me outside of the letters if you're really that desperate. I find dating face-to-face much better than through letters anyway. Though, you are going to have to be fairly obvious. All of my friends claim I'm dumb in the head when it comes to my own romantic life. I only ever notice people dating when it's others.

I don't appreciate that threat of yours. I'm sure I'll see you eventually, but probably not anytime soon. I don't even have shoots until later in the month, so even if you do see me, it'll be after you send me a letter back.

Favorite flower? Columbines, bellflowers, anemones, you know, the usual. Thinking about getting me flowers? I care much more for meaning than whether or not they're my favorite flowers. Though, if you were to ship flowers to my apartment, my roommate would probably hunt you down with her rifle, so I suggest not doing that.

I forgot a gift last time, but I appreciate the pressed four-leaf clover you went out and hunted nonetheless. I'm mailing you two mooncakes my roommate and I made (moreso me, but shh). "I hate this new life."

"No you don't."

"No I don't." She mumbles. "I love it."

"Is your manager considering having you move to a big city?"

"New York." Ada mumbles. "Most of my shoots are in the big city now, and they're arguing about how I can't keep living in Raccoon City. What happens if I leave you?"

"I leave the agency." You hum. "That easy."

"Easier said than done."

"My contract expires in a bit." You hand her the plate of mooncakes on the side table, and she sighs, biting into one. "I can choose to not renew my contract."

"It expires at the end of the year."

"They've started discussions with me already. I don't really want to keep modeling. The diet control and freakiness about how much I weigh isn't good for me. You know that too."

"You'll probably have to stop writing to your penpal then."

"They know who I am now anyway, so it doesn't matter. They'll probably find me in the next three months."

"You have that kind of confidence?"

"Yes. Ada. My penpal will chase me, and you can go chase your dreams. You deserve to." You toss your laptop to the side, wrapping your arms around her neck. "I'm happy I got to be in your life for so long. I'll only continue to stay, so have peace and keep going."

She wraps her arms around you, light frown on her face as she sighs. "I'll miss you."

"I'll miss you too. Also, the last chapter of my fic comes out today anyway, so it seems like a good time for you to start flying."

Ada rolls her eyes, pulling back to bonk your head.

"Boo."

"Boo you too." You roll your eyes. "You couldn't have racked up so many followers so quickly had it not been for my amazing writing skills, obviously."

"You're insane."

"And you're friends with me."

She only scoffs.

Day 1: Holiday (Cobra feat. Linzolt)

This was written for Day 1 of my little Four Seasons OC Challenge. This one centers on Cobra (aka Akiak) who is a founding member of the Triple Threat Triad, Zolt's closet friend, and Viper's older brother.

As soon as Cobra opened the door to his fourth-floor walkup, he was greeted with the rich, savory smell of meat roasting. He followed the scent to the kitchen, where Lusa was bending down to take an arctic hen out of the oven. 

“Let me get that, Luz,” he said, but by the time he grabbed a pair of tea towels, his fiancee had already moved the bird onto the cooling rack and started flipping the puffin-seal sausages on the stove.

He sighed and wrapped his arms around her middle, hands coming to rest on the baby bump that was just beginning to show. “What happened to taking it easy, huh?” he asked. “The doctor said—”

“Is the doctor going to come here and cook for the Moon Festival?” Lusa replied. “We’ve got your friends tonight and my family tomorrow and your mother already asked if I could bring over some mooncakes and blueberry cookies.”

“You spoke to my mother?”

“One of us has to,” she replied with a pointed look. “And if I can’t promise her the whole family around the table this year, the least I can do is send some desserts. Now, release me. I have noodles to roll.”

Cobra left a lingering kiss on her cheek before letting her go. “At least let me help.” 

“Did you buy the good gin for the polar martinis?”

“Of course,” he said, gesturing towards the large paper bag on the counter. 

“Good. Now go have one for me and entertain your guests,” she said and then promptly shooed him and his gin out of her kitchen.

A few sips into what turned out to be a damn good polar martini, the doorbell rang, and Cobra buzzed in the first of their visitors. A minute later, Zolt and Meilin strolled in, bearing more top shelf liquor and Fire Nation sweets.

“Thanks for coming, guys,” Cobra said, taking the bottles of ice wine and bourbon from them. 

“Thanks for having us,” Meilin replied as Zolt helped her out of her long green coat with fur trim. It was perhaps too nice a coat for the factory girl persona she put on whenever Zolt brought her around, but there was no good way of telling her that without ruining the evening. 

“Think we can afford to cut our people a bonus for the holiday?” Zolt asked once they were settled on the couch. 

Cobra considered it for a moment, weighing the possibility against what he’d last seen in the accounting books. “Then we’d have to do the same thing for the Fire Festival and the Spring Equinox to prove we’re not biased.” 

Zolt shrugged. “We can probably swing it.” 

Cobra bit back a sigh at his friend's magical thinking. “Not unless we edge the Agni Kais out of sports betting, and even then—” 

“Enough triad talk. It's the holidays,” Lusa said as she entered the room, carrying a tray of appetizers. “And poor Meilin’s probably bored out of her mind.”

Cobra took the tray from her and set it down on the coffee table. Then he took her hand and guided her to take his seat on the couch. “You've been on your feet too long, my love.”

“But dessert—”

“I’ll finish it,” he said. 

Lusa gave her head an amused shake. “You have many talents, Akiak, but baking is not one of them.” 

“Don't worry,” Zolt told her. “I'll make sure he doesn't fuck it up.” 

Lusa sent Meilin a questioning look—‘can he actually bake?’—and received a nod and a little smile in return.

“Alright, fine,” she finally said, and leaned back against the couch, one hand on her stomach and started chatting up Meilin. 

“I can't believe you’re gonna be someone's dad soon and you still can't cook for shit,” Zolt said once they were in the kitchen, and he picked up right where Lusa left off.

“And I can't believe you haven't proposed to Meilin yet,” he replied without missing a beat. 

Zolt sighed. “That's not on the table. She wouldn’t want…”  He handed Cobra a bowl of wet ingredients. “Just fuck off and stir that.” 

“Aren’t you supposed to be the optimist between us?” Cobra asked. “All I’m saying is she might surprise you.”

You can google too if you want more bc I feel like I’d be bad at explaining…))

Glisten - Has a Costume similar to a Taikomochi (Glisten is the reason I googled them :])

Connie - Couldn’t pass up the Scary-Ghost Idea, She has a white dress and long black hair.

Dandy - His petals are PINK (Sakura theme weowo) his Kimono is MAGENTA-PINK his skin is LIGHT PINK- (He looks like a bucket of Pink Paint in multiple shades was dunked on him 😭)

Chapter 23: The Moon's Rage

Summary: Kayn and his friends follow Sett and Aphelios and find out that Aphelios is the Moonlight Prince. Aphelios felt something strange, and he became a different person.

Ez: Phel, be careful

Aphelios: What is it?

Ekko: Ez saw some chefs that look like Kayn and his friends

"Who were you texting?" Sett asks Aphelios, and he puts his phone away. "Is Ez, he asked us where were we?" Aphelios signed, and he doesn't want Sett worried about him.

"So... where are you taking me?" Aphelios asks Sett, and he looks at him. "Is a surprise Mooncake, I want you to close your eyes." Sett smiled at Aphelios, and he closed his eyes.

Sett arrives at the place he told Aphelios about. He got out of the car and helped Aphelios since his eyes were close, and they walked slowly.

"Are we... there yet?" Aphelios asks Sett, and he shook his head. "Not yet, Phel. We're almost here," Sett stops as he places his hands to Aphelios' eyes for more romantic between these two.

"Ready?" Aphelios nodded at Sett's question, and Sett released his hands from his face. Aphelios opened his eyes and saw a beautiful view that showed the ocean and the full moon.

"I asked Rakan to find a good place to see the moon, and he recommended this place," Sett explained as he grabbed Aphelios' hand and looked at him.

"Phel, my Mooncake, my Moonlight Prince...ever since we met online, I was very curious about you, and you explained about your life, and I explained about my life as well."

"Now that I found you since the ring chase that your friends, my friends, and Kayn's friends had started and we started hanging out."

"Sett...."

Sett pulls out a blue box and opens to reveal a sun and moon necklaces: the sun necklace is gold with a red gem, and the moon necklace is silver with a blue gem "Aphelios...will you be my boyfriend?" Aphelios was shocked about Sett's confession, and tears appeared in his violet eyes.

"Are you okay, Mooncake?" Sett asked, and he nodded. "Yes...is just...I never felt so happy...in my life." Aphelios hugs Setts and starts crying. Sett hugs him back and wipe Phel's tears with his big hand. "Let's try the necklaces, I bought two: one for you and one for me."

As Sett helps Aphelios with the necklace, Kayn and his friends are spying on them in the bushes and looking at them with the binoculars. "I hate this Kayn, can we go home? I'm going to miss an episode of my favorite s-" Kayn put his hand on Kai's mouth and saw something shiny.

"I f*cking knew it." Kayn saw the ring on Aphelios' hand and smirked. "As I predicted, the Moonboy is The Moonlight Prince all along." Kayn gives the boys his binoculars, and they see the ring.

"No way...."

"I thought blondie was The Moonlight Prince"

"They are perfect together"

"Indeed Kai"

"Yea-What!?" Kayn looked at Valmar and Kai and he facepalm. "What should we do, Kayn?" Rhaast asks Kayn, and he smirks. "We know that Moonboy is Thresh's adoptive son. Let's steal the ring and tell him about his secrets." Kayn smirks as he puts on a black ski mask and comes out of the bushes.

"It looks beautiful. It matches your ring, Phel," Sett said while Aphelios looked at his ring and smiled. "Maybe I'll give you something for Christmas next month."

"Aww, Phel, you don't have t-"

*WHACK*

"SETT!!" Aphelios saw the masked man hit Sett with a log, and he fell. He tries to get close to him, but the other masked man grabs him behind as the rest of the men ganged him.

"Well, well, looks like we have something good to steal for us," the masked man smirks as he gets close to him.

*GASP*

"Are you okay, Alune?" Diana asks Alune, and she nodded. "Yeah...I forgot to pray, Mother Moon Aunt Diana, I'll be right back," Alune said as she hugged her aunt and left to pray.

"Oh Yuumi...what should I do about her?" Diana asks Yuumi as Yuumi meows and lays down with her gifts.

Alune arrives at her room and goes to her balcony and looks at the full moon. It was white, big, and beautiful, and the moonlight showered on Alune's body. She got down on her knees and put her hands together, and started praying.

Oh, Mother Moon....

Please be my brother, be safe from danger

I beg you, Mother Moon

Please...

Aphelios' ring starts glowing blue and releases from the masked man's grip and punches him.

"What the?" Aphelios was looking at his hands shakingly and sensed danger and saw one of the men with a log and hit him. His glasses fell on the ground and looked at them in rage.

The masked men saw Aphelios' eyes changed from violet to light blue, and they got scared of him. Aphelios approached the masked men, and they ran away like cowards, and he started chasing them, but they got away in their van.

Aphelios fell onto his knees, breathing slowly, and his eyes returned back to his violet eyes. He looks at Sett and crawls to him.

"Sett!! Sett!! Wake up!!" Aphelios tries to wake Sett up, and he open his golden eyes and sees Phel without his glasses. "Phel... you alright..."

"Stay still, I'll call an ambulance." Aphelios pulls out his phone and calls 911 while looking at his glasses.

"Who were those guys....."

"YOU IDIOTS!! WHY DIDN'T YOU KIDNAPPED HER!?" Thresh yells at Varus' phone, and Kayn grabs his phone and links to his van on Bluetooth.

"Listen, old man, we got something interesting to tell"

"What is it?" Thresh asks, and Kayn smirks at the question. "Did your son have a ring?" Kayn asks Thresh, which he got confused at Kayn's question. "Yeah, since I found him when he was a baby, why?" Thresh responds to Kayn's question, which made Kayn smirk.

"I'll explain everything"

It's September 17!!! Which means it's the birthday of everyone's (my) favourite pharmaceutical doctor🥺🥺🥺I love her so much 🥺🥺🥺

It's no surprise that she's my current obsession and a lot of my brainrot is based on her orz so ofc I had to do her justice for her birthday! Which is today -- September 17~

Since Sept 17 this year is also Mid Autumn Fest I was hoping to draw her eating some mooncake maybe with Ceres or Vail or Elise 🤔🤔🤔 Let's see if I can squeeze in a sketch tomorrow.

As for how she usually celebrates her birthday? I imagine usually with her friends and Vail XD Maybe this year, they had hotpot and mooncakes 🤣* I imagine her favourite filling might be low sugar red bean or lotus seed. I tried to draw some lotuses in the BG of her birthday art but uhhhh I free handed them so they might not be the best. The flower in her hair is supposed to be a lotus too but I didn't look at a ref before I drew it so it's not accurate LOL SOME FUN FACTS FOR THE UPCOMING CYBERPUNK VIS NOVEL THAT'S DEF GOING TO COME OUT BEFORE 2030 (pls believe and cope with me)

Comparing this year to last year's piece, I'm super proud of my improvement. I tried to keep everything almost the same except her hair is a little longer since it's been a year~ I think the main improvement is me being able to draw hands sometimes now XD (I REALLY TRIED FOR THIS PIECE T_T) Maybe you might notice other improvement I've made? 🥺

Let's also compare last year's Lei bday art (2023) compared to this year's (2024). For some reason last year's art looks really wonky in terms of the face even though I actually drew the sketch on pencil traditionally??? Also ofc there's no hands drawing LOL And the hair is shorter but for some reason there's no green dye? Although in this year's piece note that the green dye migrated cuz she didn't dye her hair so it simply,,, moved down LOL as her hair grew

Gigi's gift is her presence in Lei's life (IM JOKING BUT ALSO THIS IS TRUE). She'd probably give Lei a pretty outfit that she'd like Lei to wear + it would fit Lei perfectly -- SHE MIGHT EVEN SEW OR DESIGN IT HERSELF???

Vail's birthday gift for the first year is Meng AS IT IS CANON but for this one I imagine they already have Cillin + Meng so 🤔🤔🤔 maybe this year it's his d- I'm kidding... sorry LOL probably something like earrings actually XD since he's gone shopping with her. He likely recruited the help of Ceres and Elise and Gigi for this tho. Maybe even a fluffy robe or bathcoat... The new age of Guardians

- Vi, Caitlyn, Sett, Aphelios & Alune and Jayce

This is just my silly little story of the next age of Star Guardians, I'm not entirely well-versed in the lore. I just know the basics, and i have a problem with Settphel, and I have 0 reason for selecting these sets of champions for the new age of Guardians. But alas. Here you go!

This will be chapter one?? I guess??

This is probably cringe af, but idc. Sorry for any typos, I'm on my phone ;^; I'm not sure how many words but it's long. Kekw

Now. Summers were never.. Empty. Not like this.. Sett always had Aphelios to spend his summers with. But this year was eerily quiet, ever since Aphelios left and got himself corrupted for the sake of the team.

The sacrifice in question? To give Sett one more chance at finding his father and to get revenge.

The Guardians needed that Intel, so? Aphelios sacrificed himself up for it. Against Vi's wishes, against Sett's demands.

But.. Sett kept Aphelios' gem, close to his bed side drawer.

"Where ever you are, you can reach me with this."

Those were Aphelios' last words to Sett.

The vastayan stared up at his ceiling, it was late.. He rolled onto his side and looked at the time;

2:32am

He sighed and climbed out if bed with a wave of his hand; brushing over his gem, with a flurry fo sparkles and a symphony of shimmers, his familiar sparkled out of his gem with an inquisitive chirp,

"We're going to find him, Nico," with a confident smile across Sett's lips; exposing those pearly fangs he kept sharp for his Ma!

Grabbing his cap, he put it on, making sure his ears poked through the appropriate holes, and he opened his window; climbing out, jumping down from the second story, landing with his knee bent and his palm on the floor; catching himself.

Sett, using Nico to his advantage would give him a little boost as he began running, picking up speed rather quickly.

Where was he off to?

Just a simple rooftop in Valoran, where he would rummage through his pocket to pick out Aphelios' soft orange-purple glistening gemstone.

He took a deep breath in and sighed it out with puff of his cheek, and he brought the gemstone close to his chest, concentrating on his power to bring the gemstone to life.

To create a portal directly linking to Aphelios.

And without a shot of a doubt; Aphelios climbed through, his rich dark purples and blues covering his outfit, with his eyes star-struck,

"What?" He signed,

"You uh.. Still lost your voice, huh?" Sett laughed nervously,

"Yes. Zoe doesn't want me spilling secrets," he explained through quick signing, which Sett only picked up a few words,

"Right uhm-- Listen," Sett's hand reached up, rubbing the back of his neck, "Summer vacation is almost over, Ma is worried about you," he sighed.

"Really?" Aphelios seemed.. Interested, even a little glint of joy filled his eyes, albeit his aloof expression.

"Yeah, man! She asked if you were coming this year, it was weird without you," Sett awkwardly clapped his gloved hands together.

"I see.. Tell her I said hello and I miss her," Aphelios' expression grew saddened, softer.

"Yeah, I will- and.. Classes are starting tomorrow, so.. We'll all be together again and we'll save you this time, okay?" Sett wore that iconic, dumb, bright smile across his lips.

"Okay," Aphelios signed,

Sett's arms stretched out, offering a hug to Aphelios.

And he took it; wrapping his arms around Sett. If he could feel anything else but the agony of being star struck by the corruption, he'd cry. There was a single tear rolling down his cheek, but.. He quickly pushed Sett away,

"I need to go back. You should get some sleep," Aphelios signed before turning his back to face the whirring portal, wiping away a tear with the back of his fist,

"I will, sleep well, Mooncake," Sett looked down at his arms, as the corruption started sinking into his skin, adding to his grit for his next fight.

Every time they met up; Sett took a little bit more of Aphelios' corruption.

His theory was working. He could almost see Aphelios smile.

His theory was; if he could use the corruption the creatures used on him, and let his body turn it into light, why couldn't he take Zoe's corruption?

Sett went back home, satisfied with his solo mission.

He got a few extra hours of sleep before he went to school; kissing his Mom goodbye,

"Settrigh! Don't forget your lunch!" She rushed to put it in his bag- sighing,

"Thanks, mama! I'll be back before you know it," he waved with a vibrant smile.

Now, the dorms were separated; but the school kept the Guardians close to one another for emergencies.

But last year was empty without Akali, Rakan, and Aphelios.

Akali was MIA, Rakan was in and out of treatment for his corruption that still riddled his soul, and Aphelios was.. With Zoe.

Sett went for his dorm; putting his things down, keeping his locket with Aphelios' gem on his chained necklace, hiding it under his shirt.

Classes were.. A bit difficult; Settrigh had a hard time sitting still, but he remained upbeat and like the typical jock he was; making sure everyone was smiling around him.

The next night was.. Strange.

Sett had a dream about losing control and hurting the people around him; like he was some sort of mangled beast, afraid but attacking everything and destroying everyone - and when it came to Aphelios, he gasped and clutched his chest, reaching out with the other.

He was drenched in sweat, looking down at his hands. They were still normal. Looking at his clock;

2:32am..

The second night in a row he's been up at this time.

Settrigh stood up, heading to the bathroom with sleepy steps; in nothing but his PJs; which included just his boxers and a tank top.

Turning on the water, he watched as the running water scurried down the drain. Deep in thought.

Should he tell Aphelios about his dream? Should he tell Vi?

No.. He couldn't tell them a thing. Not a soul.

Sett's hand came down to the water, gathering some of it and letting it pool in the curve of his palm before he'd bring it up to his face to wash it. Taking another deep breath in as he'd wipe his hand down his face.

Looking up in the mirror; only to get a glimpse of that dark, rich purple and blue frame of Aphelios-

Sharply, Sett turned around to grab him but..

There was nothing.

He closed his eyes and turned the water off, slumping off to bed once again.

But this was a sacrifice he was willing to take.

Come the next day; and Sett was out of it, for the most part.

"Hey! Spiky!" Vi called out, slamming her hands on the table,

"Huh? What?" Sett perked up, looking up at Violet with Caitlyn close to her hip.

"Are you okay?" Caitlyn lowered herself so that she could put her elbows on Sett's desk,

"Yeah, oh.. I just didn't sleep very well, bad dream, you know how they are!" Sett couldn't help but smile around his peers; especially his leader.

If Vi were to find out his plans? He'd be kicked and prohibited from working with them ever again.

"Right.." Vi's eyes narrowed, "We have a mission after classes, just some nemesis scum, you in, pretty boy?" Vi cocked a brow, tapping his desk with her finger,

"Yeah! Damn straight, I am, always ready to beat up some corrupt fools!" He'd punch his palm with a smug grin,

"See? Told'ja he was fine," Vi motioned to Sett before turning her back to walk to the dorms,

"Well, see you soon then, Settrigh," Caitlyn offered a smile to him.

He sighed and stood up; he wasn't far behind the girls, and they grabbed Jayce along the way.

Upon heading to the rooftops of their dorms, they all got changed into their assigned Star Guardian attire while prepping their weapons, "Ready, big guy?" Jayce smiled at Sett,

"You know I am," Sett cracked his neck while slipping his gloves on; they were designed to withstand the negative energy of the corruption, and run it through his body and turn it into positive energy (grit)

Vi waved her gauntlet to open a portal to another place in Valoran city; ruined with all these corrupted pests. Clearly ran by Rek'sai, a pet of Morgana's.

As they jumped through the portal without hesitation, falling from the sky above, down to the ground in a flurry of sparkles,

Rising to their feet, Vi cracked her gauntlets' knuckles, "Let's go!" She called out,

"That your version of a pep talk?! Could use some work!" Sett called out, his smile obnoxious and wide, exposing his fangs as he ran into the heat of battle.

"Your form could use work, fluffy!" Vi only teased back as she did the same; following the motion of Sett's body; making sure she had his back covered.

Caitlyn pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed, but she quickly loaded her gun up with stardust and begun aiming for the heads of the corrupted bugs.

Jayce kept Caitlyn's back clear; blasting any that got too close to the both of them.

"Don't go far you two!" Caitlyn called out.

Vi huffed and checked their position; they were in a bit deep, "Sett! Pull back!" Vi called out.

But Sett? He was in the heat of it, all he could think about was Aphelios and how he gave him up. His punches flowed like water, one after the other. He couldn't hear anything else but his own heavy breath as it pierced into his lungs, and the squelching, screeching of these corrupted insects.

Sett kept going and going, until he was at maximum grit.

That's when he turned around to the few corruption he let through and unleashed a splash of light and stardust; using all his prowess to eliminate the insects that charged forth.

He stopped, with a heavy pant, freezing in place. And he'd stand up right, "How's that for flashy?" He chuckled, looking back at the rest of the team.

They looked.. Troubled.

Settrigh pivoted his hips, looking over his shoulder. There was a glimpse of Aphelios, and his heart sunk, "Phel," he mumled.

Aphelios' dark purple eyes, almost solemnly settled on Sett, turning away and closing the portal behind him.

Clenching his fists, his knuckles turned white, and he clenched his jaw, bringing a hand up to his chest; where his gem resided, "I'll find ya, Phel, don't worry," he whispered.

"Over here!" Caitlyn called out, kneeling down in front of a few of the insects,

Everyone ran over pretty quick; Sett, taking his time, his eyes on where the portal was. But he rushed over,

"What's up?" Sett knelt down onto one knee,

"Aphelios leading this attack shows that he's gained Zoe's trust, when we get him back, he can give us the Intel we need to take her down, he's making this worth it," Caitlyn inspected the bugs closely,

"And these were made by Rek'sai, she's having more influence lately," Vi butted in,

"We'll get him, Settrigh, hang in there," Caitlyn put her hand on Sett's shoulder,

Sett smiled, "We all miss him, not fair to be worried about just me, right?" A laugh, he stood up and rolled his shoulder, "Let's clean up before anyone sees," Sett pivoted,

All of them eliminated the bodies, disintegrating them into stardust.

And of course. Back to the dorms, they went.

Making sure nothing was destroyed on their way back.

Sett fell behind, "I just need to pick something up. Don't wait for me," Sett's hand raised, almost waving the group off,

"Oh, alright- be safe!" Caitlyn's voice choed through the empty streets as the street lamps started lighting up. And off they went.

Dinner was delicious as usual; steak with roast vegetables and apple pie for desert.

Sett was really missing out!

The Vastayan found himself back at the scene of the crime; searching, scanning.

Until he heard footsteps behind him and instinctively, Sett's body pivoted; ready to swing but..

He stopped and sighed, "Don't sneak up on people like that, Mooncake," he laughed, bringing his hands back to his body,

"How're you doing? You didn't get hurt, did you?" Aphelios' voice, barely above a whisper,

"Well hey! Look who's found his voice," Sett couldn't help but tease with his signature smile across his lips,

A nervous laugh came from Aphelios, lowering his head, kicking some dirt, "Yeah, I think Zoe gave me permission to speak," lies. The corruption burdened Aphelios' body, the pain and discomfort keeping him from talking.

But the more Sett took, the easier it was for Aphelios to deal with it.

"Ah, yeah, that's good! Fantastic even," Sett rubbed his hands together, "But I'm fine, you know how I am, big toughie," his elbow nudged Aphelios' arm,

"Yes, you were always the strong one," Aphelios' hand ran across the bridge of his Severum,

"We--" Sett bit his lips together for a moment, "I miss you," he muttered out, running his fingers across his gloves slowly,

The corners of Aphelios' eyes welled up with tears. He sniffled and cleared his throat, turning his head, "Yeah! I miss you too," trying to stay strong, his walls were crumbling.

"Phel," Sett whispered, and he'd step forward; hooking his fingers underneath Aphelios' chin, getting his head to turn, "It's hard, you're doing great, let me help you," Sett lowered go Aphelios' height,

"What?" Aphelios' brows knitted together, confused, wiping away his tears with the back of his hand,

Saying nothing else, Sett brought Aphelios in for another hug; this time it was tight, desperate, greedy. Like he was saying goodbye.

It didn't take long for Kai'sa and Xayah to show up; they quickly pieced together what Sett was up to,

"Settrigh! Stop! You don't know what that's going to--" Xayah called out, reaching her hand out.

A flurry of starlight, swishing, and swooshing of galaxies around them; keeping Xayah and Kai'sa out of the way.

Another portal shredded through time and space, and Morgana curiously peaked her head out, a raise in her brow as her arm would rest under her bosom, tilting her head, "What's this?"

And with the compression of stardust and galaxies, the two of them vanished.

Sett and Aphelios were not to be found.

Xayah and Kai'sa were left dumb founded, looking around for them, and Morgana closed that portal up. Not wasting her time with an unnecessary fight.

"Settrigh! Aphelios!" Xayah called out, her heart sinking. Where would they have gone?

"Call the others. We need to find them before Morgana does," Kai sa, instructing Xayah with the full confidence of a leader. While pulling her phone out, Kai'sa kept her eyes peeled, pacing back and forth anxiously, calling as many of the Guardians as they could to get this search party underway.

"Pick up.." She chewed her thumb nail; trying to call Sett.

While Xayah fled the scene to gather Rakan, Senna, Seraphine, and she'd hope for Orianna, as well as any of the others, if they so wished.

With Sett's prowess? The things that Morgana could do..

😅 What's a story or scene you've created that you're a smidge embarrassed exists? 😅

For stories, I used to write Dragon Ball Z and Vocaloid crossover fanfics in my teen years. One of them is still on my FanFiction.net.

I also used to have a Quotev (it's almost like an alternative Wattpad) where I wrote Hetalia lemons around that time too. Shocking, I know. Adult me is surprised to this day that younger me somehow got away with those, but thank the Gods I deleted my Quotev as soon as I got bored of it.

I remember making an RPG Maker game based on one of my original stories, The Last Human, before it went through a complete do-over and instead turned it into a webtoon. I really don't wanna go into detail on what happens, but I can't even play it knowing how frickin DARK the prologue section of the story is.

Regarding Into the Dark Night of the Soul...why the fuck did I write about elephant stampedes as an excuse for why the Conduit passed out between Chapter One and Two?!

🤡 What's a line, scene, or exchange you've written that made you laugh? 🤡

I'll admit I have a habit of editing my story after they're published, but there was that scene I went back to fix after Kasta and Maxi finished sparring with Haoran, and Haoran compliments somebody's aggressiveness in the fight.

Funny story with that, I completely misinterpreted the scene from Libra of Soul while initially writing this part for the fic, I actually thought Haoran was complimenting the Conduit for their aggressiveness in the fight, when it was actually Maxi he was complimenting.

I looked back on it and thought, "Holy shit, I can actually do something with this."

Allow me to show this fantastic exchange:

When he [Haoran] recovered and pulled himself to his knees, he formed a "T" with his hands to suggest a time-out, "I yield! You win!" When that was done, Maxi extended a hand to pull Haoran onto his feet, "I must say, your aggressive style is most impressive." "Now hold on," my cheeks flushed red like a tomato at Haoran's comment, "I wouldn't necessarily call a series of sweep kicks "aggressive" per se. Well...actually, maybe it was a bit harsh considering it's mostly just me being sneaky and--" "You humble yourself, Kasta," the man beamed as he took his hand off me to wipe the dust off his shoulder, "But I was referring to Maxi with the aggressive fighting style." My cheeks burned hotter than hot with embarrassment as a lump in my throat formed upon realizing my mistake, "Oh. Heh, right. I knew that..."

Also, any scene that features Cornelius being a complete chaotic gremlin to Kasta and others, because 1. He's a frickin cat, cats are chaotic and unpredictable as hell and I love them for it, and 2. He keeps stealing Haoran's mooncakes, sometimes out of Kasta's hand or Haoran's travel bag.

❌ What's a trope you will never write? ❌

Unless it's written in a way that wows me and has some realism to it, the trope that annoys me to hell and back is the cliche "they got married and lived happily ever after."

Like, that's it?

Am I supposed to believe it's all smooth sailings after probably going through some of the most traumatic stuff from the story that lives in their consciousness now? How do they adjust to their new life?

I could write horror stories about people who unironically expect this in their relationships.

Some of these questions I have are what make me appreciate the fact that Disney made sequels to their movies at some point.

Other than that, I'm not sure, I'll have to think on it.

This is gonna get into Trigger Warning territory mentioning abuse of some kind, so beware.

But believe it or not, yes.

I'll admit, what I've written for Into the Dark Night of the Soul so far has been one hell of a rollercoaster ride.

The scene that was pretty gut-wrenching for me to write so far was the dream Kasta had of their mother attacking them for looking like a demon and not...like...her child.

I'm not gonna spoil what I plan to do with this later down the line, but I would say that yes, it's based on the relationship I had with my mother and how she raised me before she passed away in March of 2021.

Another thing that I've made that was utterly gut-wrenching to look back on was my original draft (the version I made an RPG Maker game out of) of The Last Human, an original story I mentioned got the major redo and is on Webtoon (I'm on hiatus).

It was the first mature story I've written when I was 15, before my Hetalia and Dragon Ball Z x Vocaloid crossover phases.

Not gonna go into detail with what happens, cos like I said before, it gets really dark. But the gist of the original draft is that a genocide happened and it's all the main character's villainous and creepy stepfather's fault. The thing that made it dark is that he attempted to do something horrible to her that scarred her for life.

The new draft (the one that's on Webtoons) I made has a similar premise, a genocide happened, but the main character was spared that fate when she was rescued as a baby.

I'm on hiatus from that story now, but I thought I brought up a bit of lore about myself.

Will agrees to be Annie's dating coach, just to give her tips and practice with the things that seem so hard when she's in the middle of a date. Unsurprisingly, the more time Annie and Will spend together, the closer they become, and the more Annie wonders what she's going to do when Will's assignment with Amelia is over. Annie is so delightful as a character, trying to break out of the box her siblings, and everyone in the town have put her in -- and with Will she is able to explore aspects of her personality that she hasn't shown anyone else. Will, of course, has his own past to contend with, and his own hangups to overcome. I listened to the audiobook on this one, and the dual narration really brought the novel to life. As I say in my rec card, "the most adorable small-town romance."

With Love, From Cold World by Alicia Thompson

Even though I think there is too much talk about tropes these days, it does work as a quick way to sum up a story. With Love, From Cold World seems like it would be easy to categorize. It's an Enemies to Lovers, workplace romance. The author ticks a few classic Rom-Com boxes - stuck in the office overnight together, beach trip sunscreen application, the setting is an almost too-quirky Winter-themed amusement park in Florida called Cold World. But hold on - there's more going on here that just that. Every layer starting with something as simple as the cover and continuing on to the emotions of the main characters is handled with a little more thought and a little less cookie-cutter storytelling. Lauren is a buttoned-up accountant, but getting her to open up and take risks for friendship and love didn't feel simple. Asa is a career Cold World employee who is not living up to his potential, but actually maybe he's doing great right where he is. There were moments I laughed, got choked up, and—of course—s​wooned. I found their getting together to be surprisingly touching. Definitely recommend for the romance reader as well as the romance-curious.

Fake Dates and Mooncakes by Sher Lee

All Dylan Tang wants is to help keep his aunt's struggling Chinese takeout, Wok Warriors, afloat. He has a plan, too. Win the Mid-Autumn Festival mooncake competition—using his grandmother's unique blue mooncake recipe—and get Wok Warriors featured on a popular food television show. There are only two problems: 1) his aunt doesn't have the recipe, and 2) Theo Somers. After Dylan has an unfortunate run-in with Theo's best friend, Theo (wealthy, charming, and very attractive) tries to make it up to him by making a rather large donation to the takeout. Unable to refuse the needed money but not wanting to ​owe any favors, Dylan agrees to be Theo's fake date to a family wedding. But a weekend in the Hamptons surrounded by rich-people problems and having to contend with his growing attraction to Theo as they get to know each other might be more than he bargained for. Will sabotage, scandal, and stress get in the way of their budding relationship, or will Dylan learn the secret ingredients for both mooncakes and romance? Short, sweet, and a quick read, Fake Dates and Mooncakes was everything I wanted. Delicious food descriptions and a fake dating plot where they don't mess around too long saying, "Oh, it started as fake but now I have feelings for him and I can't act on them because we had an agreement!" (my least favorite part of the trope), took it over the top. Also, the cover art! I'm in love.

Long story short, next Saturday should be a lot of fun. Good vibes, good people, and good books. Come stop by and celebrate love and people who love love!

Be a Child

These two cuties are certainly having fun like they're children!

The fig maker was inspired by these wonderful pictures from Zhehan:

And of course, there's Gong Jun on his yellow tricycle from his Go Fighting Season 8 appearance (being chased here by way too many people!).

Here's the entire episode 4 with English subs if you want to watch it, it's well worth it. If you haven't already, all of his episodes in Season 8 are absolutely delightful.

Terrible! This set arrived with Zhehan's tricycle broken! You can see where the main bar broke right off there. Luckily, Junjun's yellow trike was ok.

We're doing the upside down and back around photos first this time, while the glue is drying on the poor broken tricycle.

Here they are, all bright and cheerful! I just realized I needed to click in Junjun's hands a bit more on the trike and push him down a bit so he's not quite as ready to pop a wheelie.

You can see here how his hands aren't quite snapped into the handlebars, which is why his feet are up like that. I did a good job on Zhehan's though (she says plaintively), which I'm happy about because I had to be really careful not to torque the glued trike and re-break it while trying to snap his hands onto the bars.

They're so cute! They balance remarkably well, which is some pretty great fig engineering. Especially considering how big Junjun's hat is!

Speaking of, that hat's a beast. I noticed just now that some of the print on Junjun's shirt has repeated itself, and I initially read it as Go Fig Fighting, because of course I did.

The wheels don't move on the tricycles, which is just as well, as I'd probably wake up to find the figs moving all over the place on my shelf as the house shifts here and there (the Western US is earthquake country, after all).

The fig maker went to town on Zhehan's spiky hair! I like it. I also like the details on the tricycles here, with the loop on the back of Zhehan's and just the little seat there for Junjun. I'm kind of glad he didn't have a back on his, he might have gotten hurt when he was hanging onto it for dear life on the show.

I continue to be charmed by Junjun's enormous hat here. Any fig of him with any of his sun hats from Go Fighting is just pure serotonin to me!

Hehehe, Zhehan's expression here is too funny! I like that particular maniac laugh some fig makers give him, it's fantastic. He's so expressive!

Huh, actually, Junjun's right hand looks pretty clicked in here to me. Maybe I pushed it down some when I was rotating them around for the pics.

Delightful! They really got Junjun's hair down for this - his hair was on the longer side for this since he was growing it out for Fox Spirit Matchmaker. You can also see they got his black sun sleeves extending down on his arms.

You can really see the texture in Zhehan's hair here from the top down angle.

And again here, and Junjun's enormous hat! Hehe.

Know what? Maybe instead of venting to Sandy, Macaque ends up telling the hsi side of the story and why he chose to do the thing she did to Tang. In the actual canon there are only two people he really seemed to open up to when it came to his feelings regarding Wukong before his redemption, and that was MK which is understanable as he's Wukong's apprentice and soemone Macaque can see a bit of himself in, and for some godforsaken reason, Tang during the Lantern City Talent Show when he warns him about what happens to people who get too close to Wukong.

Absolutely anon, you're right.

In the case of Macaque having his own venting time - I could see it partly occuring during;

Briefly when He, Nezha, and Tang are locked up together in the East Sea Palace. Macaque gives Tang an idea of who Wukong had become during the war + what monster had escaped the Furnace, hence the reason they broke up just before the Journey. Nezha backs Macaque up on this - he saw/fought what had exited the Furnace that day.

With PIF. Despite her anger towards him, she'd be sympathetic to his reasoning for not wanting to but Wukong in danger. But she's able to explain more clearly to Mac why Wukong is so upset with him right now - i.e. he secretly feels that Mac sees him as weak/helpless/untrustworthy, and that Mac leaving to investigate LBD was proof of such opinions. Mac is mortified.

Properly gets to vent to Tang when the gang is in Lantern City, trying to find the last Ring (because who puts the *real* Ring of Light in some random Lantern hanging above the city?). HIm and Tang have some hotel cocktails (the lego sets had a cut Lotus Hotel area fro Lantern City that would have hosted the Ring) and bitch about their respective husbands. Here Macaque reveals his true fear of LBD/why she's more dangerous than the book says; spoilers it involved MK's egg and Wukong almost dying.

Macaque going to the moon and having some sibling talk with Chang'e. His big sis is very wise on matters of the heart and worrying about those you love. She might just sit both married monkeys down for some impromtu couple's counselling + mooncake binge.

Macaque also likely vents on accident to Yuebei and Luzhen as he's tending to them - something he genuinely missed in the months he'd been scouring heaven and hell. Only for the up-til-now-silent Luzhen to waddle up to Wukong and babble "bama sad. peas kiss."

Also, Samuel’s def the type of person to love white chocolate sm. It’s one of his safe foods. One of his other preferred safe foods are those sour lychee candies/gummies. He actually has a whole list, in fact: among them include mac n cheese, specific sandwiches he buys from the deli, cake, fried rice, mooncakes, pancakes, bread with sprinkles and butter, REALLY well-made hot chocolate, home-cooked hotpot, potstickers, ramen, boba, california rolls, etc. Basically anything that’s warm and comforting.

He does like to eat ice cream, though- but every time he, Mikaela and Heidi go to get some he literally orders the same flavor and toppings every time (god me too).

Has way too many house plants that his mother always lets die. He never figures out why they always seemingly revive and regain their vitality near his presence until later events.

Mikaela and Heidi are his next-door neighbors, as well as his friends since childhood: they met when they were all five. Their friendship began to develop slowly due to many other factors in their life, but as they grew older they began to have the opportunities to spend more time together. The events of them crossing their own fates with that of the Autobots only served to make them further inseparable and strengthen their bonds. 

They literally evolve from average supportive friendship still blooming awkwardly to ‘THIS IS MY BEST BITCH. WE ARE ONE UNIT. WE RIDE OR DIE.'

Sam primarily holds the role of the ‘default brain cell holder’ in the group. In other words, he holds the brain cell that they all share.

He’s also the shortest in the friend group, even though he’s average height and the height difference is in literal centimeters to the point where it’s barely noticeable (he’s 5’3/160 cm, Mikaela is 5’6/167 cm, and Heidi is 5’4/162.6 cm)

Elusive, enigmatic, secretive and reserved. Has all the traits of a leader and is decisive, despite being rather cautious and always opting for a peaceful solution. Strives to be kinder and wiser every day, so he can finally understand and truly connect with others. Prefers to keep things to himself- always shrewd and observant around people. Exceptionally prodigious beyond his years, master strategist, scientist and leader. He’s used to learning from his mistakes and making the best of bad situations, so he often denies any kind of pain he’s in no matter how severe it is.

That, or he literally does not recognize his pain at all. It takes him at least three to five business days at minimum for him to figure out his feelings and needs if those said sensations prolong for an extended period of time. If intense emotions flare up and then vanish just a moment after, it’ll fly right underneath his identification radar.

He’s sometimes prone to dissociative episodes to escape situations that remind him of trauma. Even with the AllSpark’s/Primus’s memories, anything that remotely triggers the traumatic parts of them causes him to slip into either a meltdown or a dissociative episode because of the emotions he feels and associates with them. Samuel is very patient- however, that patience is born out of passivity. His lack of experience in social situations with those other than his friends, as well as a period in that time of bullying and ostracization, made him afraid to stick up for himself and to state his boundaries. When he came out to his parents and asked to transition on his thirteenth birthday, he was genuinely so scared that he was about to pass out.

As a result of his lack of socializing, he has a somewhat poor grasp of social interaction. His limited emotional expression and composed, impartial demeanor comes off as a bit eccentric and distant. Due to this, he admits to needing to study human emotions and ‘regular’ human interaction more. (autistic mood)

Sam loves to make either mental or physical note of things in his head that he deems of interest. Often, surprisingly they are odd but useful details that he somehow finds a way to utilize to his advantage.

Detests conflict, and always tries to negotiate and help people via kindness and not throwing hands. Despite the love he has and gives, he doesn’t really believe that he can ever protect anyone- not in a way that makes a difference. At the end of the day, all he wants is for people to get along.

Very observant of his surroundings- too observant. He jokingly refers to it as ‘gathering intelligence’, which isn’t too far off. Sensory issues essentially force him to pay attention to each and every little detail- but Samuel always insists that it’s fine, because ‘he’s used to it’ (shit explanation my guy-)

His favorite color changes from week to week- oftentimes it’s a whole color palette instead of just one color.

His camera roll isn’t really what you’d expect from someone as quiet and reserved as him: it’s full of cursed images, memes, stimboards, selfies of important moments with his friends, pictures of school notes and his workplace environment, and pictures of his dog.

He comes from a relatively wealthy family, but from the part-time jobs that he takes, he saves up money to buy more books, as well as anything that captivates him/immediately takes his interest hostage upon first glance (like I’m not kidding, it’s legit on-sight)

Whenever he’s captivated or genuinely, truly interested or enamored with something, he reacts like a cat in response to seeing shiny things. His eyes widen and get brighter, and his pupils dilate. He does barely noticeable stims (such as fiddling with his bracelet or jade pendant), and he leans closer, shuffling his feet to approach closer and closer without even realizing it.

He loves finding interesting rocks/geodes on occasion, and secretly making DIY-at-home jewelry at his part-time mechanic job with them and the equipment at his workbench. To get away with it, he arrives early, before his shift begins. He then shares the product with those he makes (whenever he isn’t burnt out): it’s his love language, finding cool rocks and making them into ‘socially acceptable’ gifts because he fears rejection sm 💔

Literally a sci-fi nerd. Gushes over shit like Star Wars and Star Trek and all that: has written novels and drawn fan art before, and basically died inside when Mikaela and Heidi discovered his stash in the closet when he was ten (bullied for his interests because other people can be assholes sometimes). He thought they both would leave him and never want to associate with him again, turns out they spent the next hour squealing over their blorbos, writing up headcanons/theories, and finding makeshift tools to cosplay characters.

Can’t relax his mind to save his life, honestly. There’s always a bottomless pit in his mind of ‘you are not doing enough, do enough so you can relax’ but it’s never enough. Whenever he’s restless, he fiddles with his clay bead bracelet or his jade pendant so that he doesn’t let his mind wander or race to places he doesn’t want it to go.

Low self-esteem, beats himself up for every mishap and mistake- (RSD guys, it sucks major ass-). Still has the occasional intrusive thought that nobody actually loves him, they just tolerate/ ‘put up with’ him, due to his childhood of being somewhat sheltered and socially ostracized by literally every kid except for his only two friends.

Even when he deadass has not only two friends, but a federal agent, the lead researcher of N.E.S.T, and a WHOLE GIANT FCKIN ROBOT ALIEN ARMY ready to straight commit WAR-CRIMES FRESH FROM THE OVEN FOR HIM at a MOMENT’S notice-

Dances as a hobby, loves to sketch scenery. He visits the city’s theater every other Saturday to greet and play with the kids living around that area who also come to visit. Community and connection is important to him, since he was deprived of several life experiences in his childhood.

As smart as he is, he desires nothing more than to learn with hands-on experience. He’s spent the entirety of his sheltered upbringing learning from books.

Literal GOD in the kitchen. He spent his entire childhood being somewhat sheltered, so he’s developed quite the pantheon of hobbies that he revolves his day around in his pastime. Baking sweets for others particularly makes him happy.

Living in symbiosis with the AllSpark embedded in your literal heart is… an experience, to say the least. Nevertheless, he finds a way to navigate the experience with the help of his family and friends.

Has a brotherly relationship with Bumblebee and it’s seriously one of the most wholesome things ever. Like seriously, when he called Bumblebee “gēge” on accident (“older/big brother” in Chinese), Bro just… had to physically resist the urge to straight up curl into a fetal position on the floor and cry pure joy. Mans was straight grinning from pure elation from one side of his visor to the other once he used his translators and realized what it meant-

Literally, Autobots like Ratchet and Optimus and Ironhide, etc etc… they will literally take ONE look at this guy watching the beat of a butterfly’s wings or something and immediately go: “mmmm yes he is very much son-shaped”

He can’t really read tone or social cues, ESPECIALLY when it comes to being directed at him. Whenever Jazz is being sarcastic or makes jokes that he can’t recognize the tone of, Samuel becomes so genuinely confused. And speaking of that, one of his habits when he’s confused and/or straining his mind to try and understand something, is to tilt his head and cross his arms with a finger raised to his lips to tap against it. Once again, it’s one of his stims that pops up when he’s trying really hard to discern an answer, or a proper way to navigate an unfamiliar situation with little clues.

gah this week has it out for me😭 i wasn’t able to get the merch i wanted, am missing yoongi, and now in the same week, i somehow got sick during my week in cali??? it’s okay though because the content that we got today filled me with so much joy. i love seeing yoongi smile and happy, and i loved that a bunch of army’s who won the video call let him know how much he means to them and that they’ll wait however long for bts to come back🥺

also!! let me tell you about this dream that i had about yoongi last night: so somehow i was also sick in my dream too and i had a sore throat, so yoongi brought me warm tea to help me feel better. then he drove us to my hometown and he met my mom and some of my siblings and she made him my comfort dish (idk if you like viet food but if you do, defs eat bun bo bue!! it’s my favorite dish ever :)) and he really liked it! he got along well with my family and was smiling and laughing a lot. AND THEN!! there was a firework show near us and we could see them more clearly on this hill at a park that was nearby and yoongi and i decided to go check it out and he held my hand the whole time that we were walking there. then once we got to the hill, he confessed how he felt and i told him that i felt the same way and we hugged each other super tight and then he turned me around and had his arms around my shoulders and was resting his chin my head while we were watching the fireworks😭😭 it felt lowkey so 3tanesk with the fireworks and i was just so in disbelief that i had a dream about yoongi (that’s the first time he’s come into my dreams) and i was shook that it was so wholesome and cute?? hehe now i’m gonna go rewatch those clips from the movie night and video call and try NOT to be a delulu😭😭

i mean im kinda into cpop so theres that! ive watched a good chunk of the idol survival shows and i know some of the actors too. im not really into tfboys or TNT but i have watched some of tfboys’ acting (易烊千玺 in one of his movies which was awesome. and 王俊凯 when he guest starred in that absolutely terrible matt damon movie) but overall im more into idols (mostly 创造营 groups, and also uniq so i know 王一博)

i actually discovered wei daxun through his appearance in an idol show as a guest 😭 i havent watched any of his dramas. but now i kinda want to, just to see if any of them radiate masaya energy LMAO
