Luigi Headcanons

☆ Pregnancy and having kids

Warnings: pregnancy, afab, fluff, husband!luigi

When you tell him you're expecting, he's over the moon excited.

Mario can't wait to be an uncle, and his parents are freaking out over the fact that they're going to be grandparents.

Also, you have boy/girl twins, literally iconic.

So, for starters, he does everything in his power to take care of you. Like get the food you want, clean the house, get you blankets, pillows, etc.

Mario will also let him skip some days of work so he can take care of you, especially the days leading up to you giving birth.

When it does come to that day, though, you are very much cursing out every single person in that room, including your husband.

Giving birth to twins was everything but easy, but it all turned out in the end.

You had the pleasure of having one boy and one girl, and spoiler alert they grow up to be the most iconic duo.

Days after giving birth, you and Luigi would take turns putting whichever one decided to start crying back to sleep.

His mother also graciously gave you her two favorite records filled with different soft Italian music that she used to us to put Mario and Luigi to sleep with.

Luigi definitely dances with them, like when they get to be toddler size, he'll prop each kid on each of his feet and glide them around your living room.

His mom also taught you how to sew because who actually knows how to sew?

Every Halloween, your costumes are matching. One year, you all dressed up as the ghostbusters.

Not to mention, Mario is a wonderful uncle. He'll take care of them on the nights the two of you want a date night or alone time.

Their grandparents also very much spoil them, his mom making any food they desire, and his dad taking note of each hobby they have for future birthdays and holidays.

If you guys decide to raise them in the Mushroom Kingdom, they are most definitely going to turn out to be little adventurers.

Luigi reads them stories every night, he doesn't care if they want to read the same one over and over again, he'll do it, he loves every moment he spends with you and his kids.

Back to the adventure thing, Toad is almost always the one that takes them places. He gives them little trinkets all the time.

The twins definitely have the trope of one being more confident than the other.

The twins also had that phase where they fought a lot, which Luigi hated seeing since he was so thankful to have a brother like Mario and never fought with him.

When they get old enough to start dating Luigi goes protective dad mode so fast, he's like the dad that slyly asks question in the most nicest way possible while they wait for his kid to finish getting ready.

He also gets major anxiety after he gives in and let's them go out without parental supervision. You have to sit next to him until the two of them return to ease his thoughts.

Other than all of that, you'd both sacrifice anything for your kids.
