I know people say this a lot in relation to solely Lori, but here me out: Shane is possessive of everyone in his life that he deems most important. From best friends to actual blood, such an emotional attachment holds true.

I say this not to dictate others' portrayal of Shane - only my own - but to make an observation. For someone who had very little in some ways as a boy, again, based off of my own headcanons and muse, when he finally got something, such as friendship, romantic love, or whatever else good, Shane refused to let go. He held onto it; in tight grip and with clenched teeth.

#Told From the Grave || OOC #// I have my own thoughts and feelings on his interactions with Lori #// Of which has been written about QUITE a bit on here #// But this thought specifically struck me while watching a S1 compilation #// He's so very protective over everyone - I find it strange when fans just signal out this in regard to Lori alone #// Lori was a HUGE aspect of it no doubt but she wasn't the entire picture in my humble opinion #// TLDR Shane is obsessed with/about EVERYONE he loves not just one person #// Some fans: Did you see how he acted around LORI??#// Me: Yes but did you see how he acted around CARL or RICK or even GLENN??#// I honestly see NO difference in terms of his obsessiveness/overprotectiveness between either group of people
