Bestie listen youve unzipped me and im about to go off. Harry Potter was my entire life until she literally couldn't shut the fuck up about trans women being perverts and infiltrators. I was a lonely neurodivergent weirdo and Harry Potter brought me solace as a kid. I read each of the books at least 7 or 8 times, that shit is INGRAINED in my brain. One of my best friends of 10+ years is my friend today because the first thing we bonded over was seeing the last HP movie. I used to be deadset on my 2nd tattoo being my pottermore wand with my hogwarts house. I wanted a fucking HP-themed wedding. The first funko pops I bought were Harry Potter ones. My first serious boyfriend told me he wanted to propose to me in front of Hogwarts castle (this was something he said to guilt trip me when i dumped his ass) ((also thank the gods that never happened he was a shithead and so is jkr)). My mom for some godforsaken reason let me help her name my youngest brother when he was born because she couldn't think of a name and my 10yo ass fuckikg picked DANIEL because of Daniel Radcliffe. I was in DEEP.

And you know what? Aside from the books I camped out to buy on release day and the DVDs that are crammed in a box somewhere in a storage unit, I have gotten rid of every single Harry potter thing I owned because I grew the fuck up and found better things to like. Sure I'll watch the DVDs again every few years to feel the nostalgia again because a good chunk of the cast are great people (we fucking stan Dan Radcliffe and David Tennant in this house ) but I'm not giving jkr another cent of my money or an inkling of my time beyond that.

My former boss wouldn't shut the fuck up about the new video game when it came out. At least once a week he'd ask me if I'd played it yet and every single time I would tell him "I'm not engaging with that franchise anymore. JKR uses money to fund anti-trans legislation." And he'd always spout some bullshit about nostalgia or "but it's SO good" or "yeah I just try to separate the art from the artist / oh but the devs who worked hard on the game! / but playing the game doesn't actually support her! And especially now that my wife has come out, I'm extra ready to fight the next grown person who tells me they ~separate the art from the artist~ like fuck off. There are better things to spend your time and energy on. I hope everything JKR makes flops hard. Everything shes done since the last movie has been a disgusting cash-grab and none of it is even good. I'm beyond thrilled that BG3 has had a wild runaway success and a longer-lasting player base than the fucking game she put out. Nothing has ever disappointed me more than JKR being the way that she is.

Oh but the lore and world building? The ability to make your own character in such a fun and magical immersion world?bDnd has better lore than Harry potter ever did and the lore adds up and makes sense. If you look at her shit beyond the surface level she is actually fucking TERRIBLE at world building especially when she tries to do it without being a fucking racist ((does anyone remember when early drafts for the American magic schools that were using Native American imagery and it was all REALLY FUCKING OFFENSIVe and let's also not forget "no-maj" being the least fucking creative thing she ever came up with)

I did something really sappy for my 30th birthday - I said goodbye to the franchise. I mourned what could have been. I went to Universal studios ((also bc Simpsons land and fast and furious ride and ET and a bunch of other stuff are there)) but I stopped into Harry potter world to do everything once and say goodbye to that part of my life since it was something I had wanted to do for most of my youth, and my friend who i became friends with because of harry potter was there with me. We drank the fucking pumpkin juice, had breakfast at the three broomsticks, appreciated all the little easter eggs around hp world, rode the hagrid ride, and ate a chocolate frog I wore my trans rights shirt and dressed gay as hell, my friend is trans so he just ~existed blissfully~ . I think every Harry potter fan needs to acknowledge that the franchise was good for them in the 90s, mourn that part of their life, and move on.

One of the more difficult aspects of having a loved one who has experienced abuse is how often they lash out at/hurt you broke and during the healing process, and vice versa where it's not something you intent to do but it happens, and although Astarion is seen as this imperfect victim, I can't actually remember a moment in his romance where he hurts the PC (& I get why they didn't do this bc they weren't going for full realism in a fantasy game). And obvs not counting the first encounter when you barely know eachother or A!A, but people would never be able to handle him if he ever did lash out at/do something that hurt the PC, so imho he is kind of way more palatable than he's expected to be.

Yeah I fully agree with this actually. I'll dig around later but the closest it comes to mind is him going full manipulative in act 3 with the "you want what's best for me, surely" behavior.

Which to a person with a functioning brain looks like this:

There were some things in Early Access and one of the lines I wish they would have left in is when you try to comfort him with a hand on his shoulder early in the game, he snaps back with something like "Leave me alone and go back to your own wet dreams". That was great. I didn't play Early Access so there were probably a few more I'm unaware of.

But not to repeat what you said but: I would have loved to see it go even deeper, but considering that the fandom has thrown a conniption over the smallest character flaws, I think people's brains would Netherese Orb Blast if faced with anything deeper than what we got in the final product. As it is now, people's cursors are constantly hovering over that damn button.

For example. Look at how Lae'zel's been treated by the community. Twitter and TikTok (incidentally platforms mostly used by very young people in fandom circles) HATE her. She's just a scared 20-something year old in a foreign country, her being a Githyanki is a very deep part of her identity, [insert a paragraph about how Githyanki view mind flayers and tadpoles here]. If your Tav isn't a Githyanki, she is completely isolated and alone. With idiots doing dumb shit. With a worm in her head. And a goth cleric - based on what you can deduct - did a Lara Croft with something that is a deep part of her identity.

Anyway. My own headcanon cope is that post act 2 confession, Astarion is making an actual effort and doesn't want to lose the only light he has in his life. He has definitely swallowed back some scathing remarks but he knows how easily he can fuck things up. Hell. His Yurgir confession scene is him confessing a massive fuckup, admitting his feelings, and essentially gambling if he's going to get his heart broken or not. He doesn't want to make another huge fuckup I think.

As a bonus, the private fic I'm writing isn't without him being a giant asshole (from two different chapters, before realizing feelings).

New 52 onward garth is just an OC or guy from another universe (whatever they did with new 52 roy) and real garth with his character development is going to come back

Hello, I share your indignation about the new part of MK. Everything was changed too much and strangely. Can you write down the moments you didn't like? For example, I’m not happy with this whole situation with Kuai Liang - Scorpion, Tarkata - a disease, Raiden - Liu Kang 2.0, Fujin - Raiden’s sister, who is Kung Lao’s lover, seriously?

I WILL STATE that i have not bothered to look at everything myself but hear from reliable sources of the basic information of the game so i cannot give a full and fair critique. And i will not give this game anymore attention than i already have given it since it is just NOT a mortal kombat game.

Kuai liang as scorpion and in role reversal:

I am not a fan of this even remotely being "canon" Although the idea should be explored by fans WHO UNDERSTAND BOTH KUAI LIANG AND HANZO HASASHI AS CHARACTERS ORIGINALLY. It completely disrespects hanzo as a character and erases his connection to scorpion being a "gimmick thing to slap onto someone" as a title rather than a personal journey of meaning. And kuai deserves more respect as well, originally being an assassin whose clan tried to "modernize" by removing free will of warriors to ensure obedience and make their spirits and talents disposable. Trying to fight against that. It seems ironic in the end his fate is nothing more than to be toyed with by this unoriginal and uninspiring "role swap au lolz"

The tarkatan race being a disease:

I shouldn't even have to clarify how fucked up this is. Right after in mk 11 we saw tarkatans just being another race living in outworld minding their own business, and kotal fucking up (kotal khan is a wasted character but thats for another post) so we got what was once a "bad guy evil race" to something better. AND THEN THEY FUCKED IT UP AGAIN like isnt that, at best, the most tone deaf shit after what happened in real life with a certain disease and people being uber racist??? My morning plans got cancelled, so I've been reading some of my more recent old fanfic. And it made me wonder... I feel as if I write the characters not so much in-character, especially Silver and Sonic. An explanation I can give for that is that I base a lot of my writing on my fic New Beginnings, which is three years old now, now that I think about it. At the time I worked on that I did not have that solid a grasp on character characterisations or writing, nor did I make so many analysis posts on Silver and such. But going through my own fanfics and recalling scenes from New Beginnings makes me see many little things that I feel like are "incorrect" or are something I would not write anymore. Nothing extremely egregious, but mostly word choice on Sonic's part and actions on Silver's. It's making me ponder about characterisations, how to figure out the deeper details behind them (especially in a franchise like Sonic where various "official" media have very different characterisations for many characters compared to the baseline of the games, which understandably often get mixed-and-matched in fandom spaces that I get exposed to a lot. Not to mention the huge differences between Japan and the West.), and how to write characters in a romance story when they do not have any romance in the media they are shown in.

Also, considering I don't like Silver as an uwu silly baby, I feel as if I do write him in that way, at least a little. For example, in New Beginnings he was quite heavily dependent on Espio and wary as heck but also sometimes far more explicitly wide-eyed and innocent, haha. If I don't like Silver getting cinnamon roll-ified, I feel like I should not be complicit in it myself in my own works either. It's definitely something I'll keep in mind if I ever go write for New New Beginnings (title still pending) in full, yet... I know that it's often recommended that you should do what is fun for you most when writing and that it's okay if that makes the characters a bit OoC because it's a fanwork. But I do really want to write him in-character, yet I feel like it's difficult for me to get his true character and his interactions with others down 100% correctly. A lot of my stories seem to kind of automatically put Silver into at least a bit of a cinnamon roll position, especially compared to the far more serious and world-knowledgeable Espio. But as I read my fanfics, it just felt... kind of unfitting? I'm not sure if it's something you can train, though, and I also feel like obsessing a lot about writing him "correctly" is going to stifle my (completely non-existent these days, rip) inspiration even more...

And it is making me ponder about what to do with my old fics. I figure it's best to just not touch them and treat it more like an artwork of "poor" quality that you made at the beginning of your learning journey: something that was still enjoyable to make and that people still like looking at, but that simply does not look as good as something you made years later when you had more skill under your belt. Hmm, this went a bit all over the place, but I hope it's clear what I mean.

Oh... I think the only one I can say for certain is the Xdinary Heroes one shot I did based of their debut single Happy Death Day. The song hits and, spoiler, I released that one on my birthday. It's really my own thoughts and feelings in that one, and shows how much the song means to me personally.

Hm... if we're talking in regards to my own fics... I'd probably have to pick from each category I have >_< When it comes to my big ones, it's not complete yet but LØV3 is the one I am most proud of. It tells a story I worked hard to craft, and it's only recently hit the point where the whole idea stemmed from. I don't get much attention for it, but I love it nonetheless. As for mini series, Awaken hands down. I love WayV and that comeback was so good I just had to do something big with it. For one-shots, it's The Boyz' Drink It. I always say it but when this MV dropped I fucken CRIED cause I was so mad. I had the idea in my head in that moment but I couldn't just stay up and write it cause I had work in a couple hours and I never got to it until months later. I'm glad it had a good reception though. As for requests... hands down it has to be Sticker. I was already working on it but the fact someone came to my ask box with the request, it touched my heart. NCTzens know me so well uwu

But if we're talking about other authors, I adore @neopuppy's Mean Boys Club fic Focus and their work in general, just great ideas and great story telling. I also love @peanutpinet's works, and there's a certain Jaemin fic they haven't posted yet that I am so looking forward to! And for you my precious Star, I really love your Friends!? series and can't wait for more!

I mean, everyone who knows my blog and ao3 account knows, my fandom home is the old X-Men movieverse, including only the closed timeline of the first two movies, so whenever I talk about these characters, it's good to keep in mind that I'm stubbornly refusing to acknowledge anything "canon" after X2 for many reasons, timeline mess reasons included. And with that gaze only, I do think we got a promising version of all of these X-Men characters to start with, even the ones most people think flat and boring. They all had promising preconditions to be modeled into even more comic accurate versions after X2 if we'd gotten more actual good movies afterwards, including the comic lore origins that weren't touched upon in the movies and that could easily have been included in future better installments. That goes for pretty much everyone (not looking at Marie here, though honestly, what do we got fanfiction fix its for ...) but especially Scott. Which is why it's my personal heroin, widening and deepening that character in particular with as much comic and cartoon lore in my stories as I can get away with. James Marsden did a terrific job with what little he was given for that character and it could have been the base of a terrific little movieverse if those movies back then had the proper team behind the scenes and good choices would have been made.

Think I'll go with Sabretooth here since he's a little too popular with the uwu fraction of fandom for my taste, for a cannibal rapist ... He always makes for a proper challenge when I want Logan to be in a really good fight in one of my projects though. He's also a basically unredeemable villain as opposed to so many characters that get a redemption arc just for the sake of it with time. And he was kind of physically hot in Origins.

Pretty much 20 years ago I had my first major X-Men phase and I'm always in and out of Star Wars in some way anyway, so it was a combination of those two when I looked for something new. And that stuck. The X between those two character names is a reference to old IRC chat times. Back then I was in some BDSM IRC chat and an { } with a letter in it in the username showed if you were committed or not as a sub. An {X} meaning, having no fixed dom. So that X stuck to.

Not to drop in another ask after the recent one but looking at your last post regarding how you want to change Engage’s story….

What are some of the things you want to rewrite and/or change in FE Engage?

I wanted to get to my computer before I answered this one, because I have a LOT to say on it.

I've basically been re-imagining most of Engage's story from the ground up, changing a lot of things to either make the story make have a little more meaning at some parts, or just to satisfy some personal itches I had with the game. I've been doing my best to think of things that would make the story more enjoyable to me overall, though sadly some of it would erase Veyle's established development (but also it would kind of just go down a different path?), and I'm trying to do my damndest to hold onto Hortensia's character arc, lol. So it'd be a LOT of things to change in Engage's story.

I spent nearly an hour typing stuff up but decided to remove it because I MAY want to do a comic someday. But bottom line is mostly this:

Alear and Veyle would be established as Fell Dragons right off the bat in the game. They would also actually transform into dragons (none of that "uwu I hate my dragon form" just because they didn't want to design more dragons. We were cheated of Dragon Alear, Veyle, and Zephia!). The designs would be reminiscent of swans (since Veyle's outfit gives off swan vibes), with Veyle being based off of a white swan and Alear being based off of a black swan. Also Zephia would have a dragon form as well, something along the lines of a vampire bat. Because they're established as Fell Dragons, instead of being worshiped by everyone, they're distrusted and scorned by most of the cast (in varying degrees from mild to more severe), with most of the story having Alear and Veyle needing to earn the trust of the other characters.

Their meeting with Lumera would be drastically changed: Instead of Lumera meeting Alear in the mountains, Alear would have tried to kill Lumera to appease Sombron, but Veyle tags along and is captured by guards, and Alear gives up their fight with Lumera to plead for Veyle to be released. Lumera is moved by this and orders the guards to release the both of them, where she takes them to a separate room alone and makes tea for them. She spends the night talking to them and learning about how Sombron uses them as tools, they bond, and then she lets them go. Sombron is angered by their failure and goes to kill them; Alear, in a panic, defies Sombron and fights him, but Veyle also tries to protect Alear and is injured in the process. So Alear takes Veyle back to Lumera, having nowhere else to go, and Lumera manages to heal Veyle and offers them refuge in her castle. Thus begins Lumera, Alear, and Veyle's bonding, and at some point she adopts the two as her own children. The Sombron attacking Alear at the castle would probably play out the same, but instead Lumera, after giving her Divine Blood to save Alear, would tell Veyle to take Alear and hide somewhere safe, also entrusting them with Marth's Emblem.

For the game's beginning, Alear would have their memories of what had occurred intact (because no more protag amnesia, please), and instead of the Somniel, would wake up in a small isolated cottage where Veyle's been watching over them this whole time (which means Veyle would be with you from Chapter 1). Also a drastic change: instead of starting the game off with Vander, Framme, and Clanne, you'd start off with Mauvier who finds Veyle and Alear alone several years before Alear wakes up, becomes friends with Veyle, and opts to stay to take care of the both of them (this is actually a ruse ordered by Zephia who finds out where Veyle and Alear are hiding, but this is still kind and compassionate Mauvier so he genuinely bonds with Veyle during this time). Once Alear wakes up, this is when they decide to return to Lumera to show her Alear has awoken.

The whole rewrite is still a big work in progress, but to summarize some other changes:

Instead of Firene, Brodia, Elusia, Solm: Firene would be first (Instead of Alfred meeting you at the castle, you'd first meet Celine on the way to Firene who asks for your help, and Alfred would be at the castle attempting to defend his mother). Then Elusia, which would be the first and only kingdom that actually worships you as Fell Dragons (However Ivy and Hortensia don't quite join you yet); however this would be for ulterior motives as King Hyacinth wants to use you to counterattack and conquer Brodia as revenge. The war between Brodia and Elusia would still play out, but with Brodia on the antagonistic side instead; however, when Hyacinth tells Alear and Veyle to execute Diamant, they refuse (also gaining Diamant's trust for him to be recruited later).

Sombron's return and Hyacinth's death are still played out the same, but instead of Veyle having a dual personality, Sombron executes his influence over her to simply make her an empty, emotionless drone. With this, both Mauvier and Veyle are removed from your party (as Mauvier would be revealed to be one of the Hounds), and instead of your current party running away, it's just Alear (of course with a MUCH ADJUSTED level design), but after a few turns your party comes in to save the day, with a new alliance from the Brodian and Elusian characters.

Additionally, Yunaka, Lindon, and Seadall would be recruited in paralogues like Jean. There'd be two separate types of paralogues; ones to recruit the new characters, and memory paralogues that explain Alear's Fell Dragon origins. The Emblem battles would be done away with entirely.

I haven't gotten much further than that because there's a LOT of nitty-gritty story stuff I've been reworking in my head, but this is the best that I can summarize of my rewriting. Actually typing it out is VERY messy for me, lol.

tsoa IS a good book, even divorced from the iliad, and its a very emotional interpretation of the relationship between achilles and patroclus. But you cant fault someone being frustrated that for a majority of people, at the very least on this site, tsoa's interpretation is THE ONLY interpretation of the relationship between achilles and patroclus, because their only knowledge of the content of the iliad is what was said in tsoa. And Miller (purposely, and its not inherently a bad thing) made a lot of changes to better fit the narrative of what tsoa was trying to say: patroclus' worth was disminished (reliable narrator... unreliable narrator... the text is still the text) to emphasize his adoration of achilles, and it was effective! But the frustration comes from the constant lack of awareness people have of the distinctions between patroclus' modern portrayal (which is not entirely Miller and tsoa's fault: hades game and now, the holding achilles play also portray achilles' and patroclus dynamic in a similar way as tsoa) and how patroclus, and achilles for that matter, are in the actual iliad.

There is also thetis, and while I am not here to judge Miller's antagonizing of thetis in her book (which again, fit the narrative), you have to admit it is a bit saddening to see thesis constantly villainized without distinction wheras thetis in the iliad, had no actual ill toward patroclus, her most defining interactions with him being her weeping with her son on the shore while hes holding patroclus' body, and her giving patroclus the nectar and ambrosia of gods to keep his body from decomposing. Her relationships with both her son and husband were also "healthier" as she embody maternal love as her narrative role in the iliad.

Lastly, I think it all just comes down to tastes: while I do appreciate the soft and dramatic, almost forbidden, yearning of tsoa, I think I would enjoy it more if it was a more casual, unquestionned kind of love, the one you dont really think about until it is violently and tragically taken from you. After all, gay relationships are as diverse as any relationships. And I feel this one lacks representation, not just for achilles and patroclus, but just in general.

first off, i want to say thank you for being respectful. when i opened this ask, i was honestly expecting something way worse just based on the tsoa hate i've seen.

second, when i say tsoa hate, i'm not talking about people who are frustrated that the majority of the iliad retelling content is tsoa or the people who just didn't like the book. that's fine; everyone's entitled to their opinion, and i don't expect everyone to love the book as much as i did, and, honestly, i can understand the frustration (though i generally am only looking for tsoa stuff)

everything you said is very true, but the hate i'm talking about are the people who are straight up blaming madeline miller and tsoa for everything wrong with all modern portrayals of the iliad. i won't link any of it because i don't want people who see this to click on the links just to spread hate, but believe me when i say there is a ton of it, and most of it is full of toxic masculinity, almost none of it as tagged as hate or anti, most of it mentions achilles and/or patroclus as 'soft uwu gays', all of it tags just 'tsoa' or 'patrochilles' so anyone looking for tsoa content has to see it, and all of it hates on miller for being uneducated for bullshit reasons.

the 'soft uwu gays' is the thing that really bothers me. (look up 'soft uwu tsoa' to find some of it if you want to see what i'm talking about.) hating the book is fine! like i said, not everyone's gonna have the same opinion on the book as i did. but ignoring the whole message of the book to instead prioritize traditional ideas of masculinity, and then to act like the book is feeding into a gay stereotype by making the two of them loving partners? that is straight up homophobia and sexism.

besides, the book is a retelling. it is not gonna be the same as the iliad, and that's how it's supposed to be. the point is to offer new perspectives on old stories.

i will admit that the tsoa fans that act like it's just another version of the iliad and can be taken as a substitute for the iliad are annoying and wrong. there are indeed many differences.

(reiterating: no hate on you! you were incredibly respectful and made very good points, and i'm not trying to call out everyone who didn't like tsoa! just the ones who can't figure out how to hate respectfully or have a conversation instead of an accusation match)

for the unreliable narrator thing, that is a big deal imo. if the narrator is unreliable, there is nothing in the book you can trust. in this case, the part you can't trust is patroclus' true role in the fighting as well as the real level of badassery between the two of them. like i said in the original post, the book was purposefully written to leave out a lot of the fighting because she wanted to highlight the duality of warriors, but the soldiering side is already known from the iliad which left madeline miller to speak on the loving side of patroclus and achilles via patroclus' perspective and narration.

as for thetis, i'm not gonna lie, i have not yet read the iliad, but i have read excerpts, summaries, and i have studied it (i just lost so much credibility but it's fine), so i can't speak on her tsoa portrayal (though i will say that i have never acted like tsoa is canon iliad). what i can speak on is growing up with controlling parents. i'll just leave it at it fucking sucks. although, it would have been cool to see a supportive thetis!

twst: i'm gonna say it. main story is. kinda boring. like i couldn't care less about the updates or new chapters or anything, again, i'm more interested in the events. i get it, the whole point of the main story is overblots and the overblot gang's backstories, but tbh i got tired of it after like chapter 4. i get it, it's literally the main story, of course people will talk about it, but i just.. can't make myself care about it.

milgram: THIS ONE ACTUALLY MADE ME THINK BECAUSE.. tbh nothing about it feels overhyped to me, at least right now? like i feel like the whole project is almost based on this feeling like "what's gonna happen next" or "what should i do" or "how should i react to this". so yeah again i don't think i have anything to say AGAIN I'M SORRY JDFKSLDLD. i could talk about the novels, but also.. not that many people know about the novels or are interested in them, so yeah, i definitely can't say they're overhyped. i could say how i'm not really that interested in the ninth and tenth mvs and the purge march is the only mv that i'm excited for rn, but that's just, again, me being biased and i definitely wouldn't say those mvs are overhyped. i also really want to see them! i just don't care about those characters as much.

Games from this week: Pokemon Polished Crystal, Fool's Gold, Infinite Fusion. Palia MMO, and House Flipper (I fucking LOVE Johto)

Pokemon Polished Crystal

I've got two badges and I just hit Goldenrod! Been loving all the upgrades this hack added to the main game: most HGSS stuff like Lyra, Proton, etc, mild "alt colors" for pokemon based on their DVs (you can see it most clearly in my slightly green Furret there), expanded route maps and hidden grottos... Oh there's in game wonder trade too! That's how I got Skarmory and Clefairy. The last egg there is the Odd Egg, still wondering what 'mon I'm gonna get from it. Pokemon Fool's Gold

Wild looking, ain't it? Fool's Gold is a bit like... if every pokemon in Johto was a "regional form", including its OG cast. From left to right, that's Pidgeotto, Jolteon, Wartortle, Quilava, Corsola, and Houndoom. (Pidgeotto and Quilava are shiny, too.) (Yes I'm playing with the built in shiny code active). They're a pretty great team, have carried me through six badges. 🥰 Literally every pokemon is different, and I've loved playing through the game and seeing familiar faces with a fresh coat of pixels. I went with a bit of a theme, obviously. Can you guess it? Can you guess all my favorite pokemons just from looking at one image? Jokes aside, I kind of loved how this team turned out in the end. Two witches and their familiars uwu. I played on the most chaotic randomizer settings, and I lucked out with it being generous with the eeveelutions. I beat IF this week, clearing Mt. Silver on Thursday. I know there's still some postgame stuff to do and I may get back to it eventually, but I think I'm ready to shelve the game for now. Some of the route design got hecka frustrating by the end. Man, I love Johto. Palia MMO

I got in on the open beta this week! Just finished building my starter home last night. Really love the art style and environment design in this one, and goooosh the townsfolk are so cute. I already want to marry Jel. It's really scratching that farmer game itch, and I'm sure once they implement more minigames and areas to explore, I'm gonna get totally obsessed. Hopefully they'll have controller config set up for PC by full release, cuz my wrists are BEGGING me to play less KB+M games. Speaking of... House Flipper No pics for this one. I'm still in the early stages of the game where I only fix homes, not buy and flip 'em for sale, so I ain't got shit to show off. But GOSH it's like if they took AC's happy home paradise, mashed it with powerwash sim, and made a game *just* for me. It's so cathartic- at least when I'm not yelling at my customers for making TERRIBLE decisions that strip away any and all character in the home (yes, I'm complaining about the Michael B. job, you're a MONSTER sir/ma'am/they'm). Looking forward to making my first barbie dreamhouse at a later date.

Hahaha, I don’t blame you! XD I wasn’t sure either until I looked at the model, honestly. And really? That kind of body type is probably the rarest to come out of Japanese media (or media in general I suppose), so I don’t think ANYBODY expects it...

The only reason I’m willing to believe that was their intention is because... they’ve obviously been trying hard to be more diverse in their body types lately, you can see that in the game itself in the NPCs, props to them! Also... Arezu exists in Arceus and she’s undeniably a rare build. XD Giacomo would be the male equivalent, I’d guess... also, when you take his coat layer off and stand him next to any other thin male character, his waist doesn’t taper in (like say... the male grunts or Atticus). Which could be the vest, but at the same time, it doesn’t look or behave like the vests on the definitely thin male characters. They’ve also... rigged up his coat in multiple places =T So that it will curve around that part. And they have done so in many of the animations. You can also see it in most of the “held” shots where his pose is held for a while (opening a battle, seeing him for the first time, defeating him in battle). So I feel like they wanted it to be known. Otherwise it’s a whole lot of coincidence? I dunno, I could be wrong. XD That said, Rose also exists!

I do feel guilty when people think that I came up with it though XD;; No, it’s based on the game, promise, give GameFreak their dues! Not that people will see the shots of the model since tumblr decided not to put that post in tags XD Thanks, tumblr. Let the people see Giacomo!

And hahaha yes Arven! XD He actually doesn’t have a face there because he was imported before the python script could handle their faces =D;;; There’s actually Rika (faceless) and Larry to the side of Arven, but I cropped them out to take a screenshot. I figured I’d include Arven so people could see how tall he is compared =) He’s my bestie’s favourite, so he gets special treatment. He comes out by that scale as 5′06″ (same as Rika) and Atticus at 5′08″

The first thing that came to my mind when thinking of a timeskip!Sebastian is what you saw above: goggles, fluffier hair and a cape pin togheter with the prosecutor badge. 'Cause this boy is legit strategist of the Inazuma Trio shaped. Like Kidou he has some sort of cape, the goggles can be added by proxy of his dad and a mentor called Reiji; like Shindou he is orchestra director based, has fluffy hair and cries a lot. But the chest was the most difficult thing to think about: just giving him the full orchestral attire with the two-tailed coat would be redundant to the cape and putting something around the neck, whether is the frilly cravat or, yknow, an actual cravat could distract or be hidden by the fact that the cape is tied togheter with the badge, that's something I'm not willing to compromise... and the I remembered.
