Thinking abt Quinn and someone who's just never really skated, it's not a big thing where they're from and the weather doesn't turn cold for ponds and lakes to freeze or there really aren't any rinks around. Ik it would scratch an itch in his mind to realize he's taking them skating for the first time. He's the one able to pick out their skates bc they all look the same to them and he's the one bending down to tie their laces for them because they don't know how. He's the one who teaches them how to skate, telling them to just hold onto him, to trust him with it. He'll take care of them, if they manage to fall and he isn't able to catch them, he's going down on the ice too.

He'd be so careful I could cry.

He's your first. He's responsible for you. Your safety is his number one priority. You're relying on him to keep you up, to show you how to take part in this massive part of his life.

Trust him to know what skates you need, trusting him to make sure that they're secure on your feet.

Trusting him to pick out the best clothes for you, you not being sure how cold it gets or if something would be too restrictive.

Relying on him to not go too fast for you, giving him all control.

You know he won't let you fall. Won't let you hurt yourself.

If you're in public? He's making sure he's always on the side facing other people so you don't feel pressured, not trusting them to not accidentally bump into you.

The pure adoration in your eyes if he showed off.
