I just noticed Mephisto matches with Barbatos (who is matchy with Diavolo) in the anniversary outfits in his SSR memory card

These three were also the only three who had half masks in the masquerade event!!!

Anyway, The Royals with Mephisto chat group when? We got one for Purgatory Hall with Raphael..... it's just fair !!

And one for Mephisto and Diavolo as well, but also one for Mephisto and Barbatos too. because you can't tell me their relationship isn't deeper than the devs portray when Mephisto has lines like this about Barbatos's room:

Mephisto loved his little brother, probably more than anything in the whole Devildom. He was his whole world. Whatever he wanted, Mephisto made sure to deliver. After all, he wanted him to be happy.

A while back, Mephisto noticed his brother was a getting lonely. He couldn't always be by his side. He often had work to do, even at home, so when he finally arrived home after RAD, he couldn't play with him. He wished there was something he could do, but since he couldn't find a solution, he just made sure to promise to make time for him between assignments and such. It was nice to take a break but he wished he could have more dedicated time for him rather than making him feel like an afterthought.

However, when the exchange program started, he quickly got an idea. It took him a little bit to work up the nerve to speak to the angels, but it only seemed logical to him for the younger of the two angels to become his little brother's friend. Mephisto could already see the look of joy painted across his brother's face, and was the driving force behind every single one of his words. For once, Diavolo was an after thought. This forming of relationships would be excellent for the exchange program, and would certainly make Diavolo proud. While the little angel seemed apprehensive, elder angel quickly agreed. So, both him and Simeon marked their calendars for their little ones first ever playdate.

Mephisto was nervous, seeing Luke didn't seem to get on well with demons. He just wished he'd be able to see past that and just have fun with his little brother. As hoped, the two of them got along swimmingly. Simeon brough along some RAD work and cookies for the group to share, so while the boys played, the two of them could work.

The four quickly fell into a routine. Once a week, on Thursday afternoons, Simeon and Luke would come over for a couple hours for a playdate. He and Simeon got some substantial work done every time, and he began to regard the angel as a friend of his. He actually grew to love this little routine and looked forward to Thursday afternoons.

However, all of that familiarity went out the window when you came in Simeon’s place one day.

The first time you showed up at his doorstep with Luke in tow, Mephisto was caught off guard. Luke ran in as soon as he opened the door, leaving the two of you to talk things out. You timidly explained to him that Simeon had gotten busy with a club on Thursday afternoons, but didn’t want Luke to have to stop attending the play dates. You told Mephisto that you just couldn’t say no after you saw how excited Luke was about going over to his new friend’s house. So, rather than looking doubtfully upon the circumstances, he took the encounter as a sign. He had been meaning to try to get to know the second human exchange student, after all.

So, rather than turn you away, he let you into his home, and his heart. He asked for your hand, and pressed a kiss onto the back of it. You seemed charmed. That day forward marked the start of your friendship. At first, just like it had been with Simeon, he was very awkward around you and felt afraid to make a wrong move. When he did mess up out of nerves, you laughed it off with him. You seemed just as afraid to do something wrong. As the weeks went on, the two of you grew closer, and even began going out of each others ways to see the other at RAD.

On Thursday afternoons, you ate lunch together and chatted. Mephisto’s excuse for this was to get all of the casual talk out now, so later you could better focus on your work. But, really? He just wanted to see your face. He wanted to watch the way you smiled when you discussed something that made you happy, or when you laughed when he made a joke that managed to land. The way your nose crinkled when you were concentrated never failed to fill him with a bubbly warmth that started in his chest and spread outward. Not a single little endearing detail about you escaped him.

Was this some sort of magic that the tricky sorcerer had taught you? No, you hadn't. That was the moment he realized he had fallen for you. You'd enchanted him with everything about yourself, and you hadn't even realized it.

The next Thursday after he'd come to the conclusion, he suddenly felt much more self conscious of everything he did. Was he sitting too close to you? What if he was? Would it be rude of him to scoot away and give you the space he thought you needed? Was he talking too loudly? Did he look nervous? Because he sure as Diavolo was.

You, however, were the same as you always were. That's what he assumed and was telling himself. You happily chatted away to him as you worked on a project you had due the next week. Your dazzling smile seemed just a little brighter. It worried him, but that went out the window as soon as you turned in on him.

Soon enough it was late. While you'd tried to excuse yourself before dinner, Mephisto wasn't having that. He insisted both you and Luke stay for dinner. The two boys ate quickly and relatively silently, and ran off to play again, leaving you both alone.

"I'm really glad they get along so well." You commented.

"Oh, yes. It's heartening." For whatever reason, he was surprised by your words, despite the fact that you were enjoying dinner together.

"We might just have to move in at this rate." You joked, letting a laugh slip. He knew not to take what you said at face value, but his heart fluttered at the thought of living with you. Getting to see your face every morning and every evening would be greater than a blessing. "Anyways, I think after this, I'm going to be done with work for today."

Mephisto nodded. "Agreed. We worked plenty hard already." You took the conversation off in some other direction. While he loved to listen to you talk, and he was almost certain he understood what it was about, he kept finding himself staring at you.

"Hey, did you hear me? You've been so distracted today." He was shaken out of thought by you poking his cheek.

"My apologies. Distracted is the correct word." He set his fork down. His mouth had gone dry, and was no longer hungry.

"So then, what's on your mind?" When he opened his mouth to deflect, you spoke before he could. "What I was saying isn't important anymore. I won't be going back to it until you tell me what's wrong." You grinned when he let of a sigh of defeat.

You'd almost entirely cracked his resolve with that smile alone. He just wasn't sure how to tell you everything that had been bouncing about in his brain for the past week or so. "Would it make you feel better if I tried to guess?" You asked.

"If you wish." He didn't think you would get it correct, but it would buy him the time he needed.

"Alright. Hmm. Are you finally getting promoted back to the preident of the RAD newspaper club?" You tapped your chin, wracking your brain.

"Sadly, no." He answered.

"Your parents are having another child?" You tried again, just as earnest as before

"That's the most outrageous idea you've spouted yet." He could hardly contain his laughter.

"You have a crush on someone?" He knew that once he'd gone silent, that you knew you were on the right track. "Wait, really? You have to tell me who! Don't tell me it's Simeon, and that I ruined the beginnings of a beautiful relationship." You fake sighed dramatically.

"Stop!" He felt his face flush at the idea of falling for the angel. "No, that's not it." He wasn't sure if he wanted you to get the answer correct or not.

"It has to be! If you don't just tell me, we'll be here all night while I list everyone we know." He knew you were being serious.

"Will you promise to keep it a secret?" He felt like a child again, admitting to his feelings under a pretense like this.

"I promise. Now, spill." You craned your neck closer to him, ready to hear the answer he was about to give.

Still, he found himself reeling. So, he said your name under his breath and as fast as he could. "Say that again?" Your eyes glittered. You appeared so happy for him, which is why he decided to speak up.

"You. It's you." He let out another long sigh. Instead of responding shocked like he'd expected you to, you held out your hand, seemingly asking for his.

When he did, you lifted his hand to your lips and planted a kiss on the back, just as he had when you'd formally met. When your lips made contact with his gloveless hand, a jolt of head traveled from his hand, to his head, and all the way down to his toes. He used his other hand to cover as much of his face as he could. He'd never felt anything like this before. You didn't seem nearly as surprised or flustered as he was. Had you seen this coming?

"How does lunch together tomorrow sound?" You held his hand in both yours. Your hands were much warmer than his, and it sent shivers through his body despite how hot he felt.

"But, we always have lunch together..." Mephisto trailed off, confused. His brain was jumbled at the moment, so he couldn't really understand what you were getting at.

"Do I really have to say it?" When he continued to stare at you like a deer in headlights, probably still very much in shock at his confession, you let out that laugh he loved so much. "As a date, silly."

Mephisto's mouth moved faster than his brain could. "Lunch sounds great."

Comforting S/O After a Cockroach Attack

A/N: Hi! I was accepting headcanon requests (closed upon posting this). This gave me the shivers, I cannot stand bugs touching me and especially not on my face, so I can only hope my loves would save me :( I went with side characters as I couldn't really come up with enough content or ideas for just one character for a headcanon ask, I'm sorry, but I hope you enjoy these sweet short headcanons

Regular human world cockroaches are awful enough to deal with. But being in the Devildom, you often come across some truly monstrous equivalents of animals and bugs, some you've grown used to and even liked. But some of them were truly terrifying, and unfortunately, your worst nightmares came true when you had one of those monstrous Devildom cockroaches flying down at you. It took what felt like hours to escape the damned thing, and your shaking form immediately sought out the comfort of your closest confidante...

Diavolo

When you go to Diavolo and tell him what happened, he may laugh a little at first, but don't be angry. He's just always delighted to see all the different reactions you have. It's especially fascinating to him to see how unfazed you are when handling a multitude of demons, especially the likes of the Seven Avatars, but the likes of a bug scares you instead. But he's reminded of a certain butler who also has a certain, unexpected fear...

He'll offer to protect you from them in the future and comfort you for now by cuddling with you. He may even make some dumb jokes to try to distract you and help calm you down, or have you sit beside him while he's working. And if you'd like, he'll also share with you about something that he can't stand, as well (so long as you promise not to tell anyone else, including Barbatos).

Barbatos

When you come running to Barbatos, he's convinced there's a war going on with how worried and freaked out you seem. But once you get the chance to tell him what happened, he's thankfully understanding. He knows too well about dealing with attacks from.. unwanted creatures, and can only imagine how he'd freeze up if he dealt with a rat.

He takes you to his room and makes you some soothing tea or other hot drink to help calm you down. He might invite you to a little baking date to get your mind off of what happened, both by making yourself busy and getting the reward of a delicious treat at the end.

He'll also be sure to educate you on how to prevent and treat bug infestations. After all, he's very familiar with dealing with unwanted pests, so he wants to be sure you're prepared to deal with them in the future in case he's not around to protect you.

Simeon

Simeon, the sweetheart that he is, deeply sympathizes with your fear and is very very sweet about it. He'll provide you hugs, back pats, or even just lend an ear if you want to tell him about what happened. His empathetic self will even shiver after hearing about the bug's description, truly feeling for you and the ordeal you went through.

He may also offer to handle the bug for you, but please don't take him up on it 😬 He might get just as freaked out as you, and then both of you are screaming and running away, which only stresses Luke out. Instead, it's best to let him recruit someone else to handle the bug and perhaps settle down in his room while he reads you some poetry or maybe even TSL.

Solomon

Solomon may laugh a little, like Diavolo, when you tell him what happened, but he'll be quick to apologize if it makes you angry. He's lived a long time and been to so many places, he's so used to all manner of creatures and is completely unfazed by the things found in the Devildom. Once you've calmed down some, he'd be happy to teach you about other crazy creatures commonly found in the Devildom, hoping maybe some prior knowledge will help you at least a little bit in future encounters.

If you'd like, he'll happily teach you a spell to destroy the bug the next time one attacks you, or he may even offer to find and take care of the one that had come after you. Once that's taken care of, he'll be sure to take you on an outing to somewhere fun so you can forget about what happened. At worst, he may try to cheer you up with baking something for you, in which some distractions might be needed. But maybe you can give his cooking to the cockroach...?

Mephistopheles

Mephisto won't make it known to you, but just the mention of a cockroach is enough to get goosebumps on his skin. He sympathizes with you about dealing with such disgusting creatures, and immediately takes you out of there to somewhere perhaps with open air, particularly if its the gardens or a park, somewhere that has a more peaceful feeling to it.

He may be a little mean though and tease you about getting scared by a bug when you're surrounded by demons. But it's easy to see he's just doing that to distract you and make you feel at ease rather than actually insult you, if the gentle look in his eyes is anything to go by. He'll take on a big brother role that he's used to and be your protector for the day.

Thirteen

Thirteen is also loathe to admit it to you, but she hates those cockroaches as well. Anything that flies at her face is a big NO. But luckily, she has her trusty inventions to deal with those pests, all manner of fly swatters, just general melee weapon-looking tools, or traps.

If you ask her nicely or feed her ego a little, she'll help you bug hunt to get rid of the gross things. After all, she doesn't mind the idea of you owing her a favor for her heroic efforts. But really, she's a sucker for you and will hunt down anything that threatens you or your wellbeing.

Raphael

... What do you want him to do about it? I'm kidding. Raphael is a little underwhelming in regards to how comforting he is, but it's mostly because of his stony facial expressions. His eyes show that secret gentleness he has, and although he's not great about verbally comforting you, he'll provide a brief but sweet hug.

If you'd like him to, he's willing to hunt that cockroach down with his spears, although the idea sounds a little nasty to him. But if you don't want to go the murderous route, then he'll just provide you pleasant albeit quiet company until you've calmed down. He's not great at small talk, and he'll be very awkward about it, but he'll try to find things to distract you with and get your mind off them, like puzzles or telling you stories about working with Michael.

Do you think diavolo's feelings are reciprocated from lucifer? (Him being in love with him?)

While Diavolo's feelings are very obvious, Lucifer's can be read either way. But there are things he only allows Diavolo and MC, or sometimes even just Diavolo to do.

• Diavolo's one of the only people he allows to see him shirtless. If you're not following Lucifer's "route" (aka if your MC is not actively sleeping with Lucifer) then Diavolo's truly the only person

• He's a sucker for Diavolo's puppy dog eyes and quickly gives in to what Diavolo wants. This parallels Mammon giving into MC (where it's obvious that Mammon's in love with MC) and Solomon giving into Asmo (where it's heavily implied they've slept together)

• Speaking of which, in S2 when Lucifer and Mammon are fighting Simeon uses MC against Mammon and Diavolo against Lucifer to get them to stop

• There's a part (in a devilgram?) where MC and Lucifer hear Mammon screaming. If MC says it sounds like Diavolo, Lucifer says that Diavolo's screams don't sound that bad.....which....SIR, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN!!!?

• He blushes whenever Diavolo praises him and actually turns his head away and closes his eyes, and he once tells Diavolo he shouldn't speak about him like that in public - so....so it's fine privately???

• He lets Diavolo pull him into dumb, humiliating things that he wouldn't let anyone else make him do - letting Diavolo give him a piggyback ride around RAD

• He gets upset when Diavolo is sad and (taking MC's suggestion) blushes and meows to please him.... which again is an absolutely insane thing to do

• Just the whole of S2. Where he follows MC around like a sad puppy complaining about how Diavolo is keeping secrets from him and he's never kept secrets from him before and MC what should I do. He goes on a romantic ferriswheel ride with MC and all he can talk about is how much he cares about Diavolo, which amnesiac Lucifer later points out is a bit eyebrow raising. He finds out Diavolo left a party earlier without talking to him to go talk to Solomon and literally goes -> 😔

• The entirety of the "Lucifer's Melancholy" devilgram where Lucifer gets jealous that Diavolo praises Barbatos's cookies, so he tries to make cookies for Diavolo and just fails so badly? And then manages to convince himself that since Diavolo only praised Barbatos's cookies that means he likes everything else about Lucifer. There's also a more recent event where it's implied that Lucifer kept practicing making cookies

• That one Devilgram where Lucifer seems annoyed that Diavolo was meeting up with Mephisto for dinner

• He has regular dinner dates with Diavolo

• He's the only one who finds Diavolo's lame dad jokes hilarious

• The entire Devildom genuinely thinks Lucifer is in love with Diavolo????

• One day with Diavolo was enough for Lucifer to become reluctantly fond of him and start questioning his father and the Celestial Realm

• On the first day they met, Lucifer - in the most roundabout way - thought Diavolo was angelic

• His relationship with Diavolo actually has development throughout S1 and S2. Where it goes from Lucifer caring about Diavolo but being unable to truly be his friend due to Diavolo's position and Lucifer's previous trauma saying that they'll be kicked out the second they step out of line to Lucifer caring about Diavolo but feeling secure enough to yell at Diavolo, go against him, be snarky at him, actually punish him the way he does MC and his brothers and, most importantly, let his brothers become friends with and play around with Diavolo

However, whenever anyone (Simeon, MC, Barbatos, Asmo & Beel) refers to him and Diavolo being in love with each other, he denies it vehemently. But, it's obvious that Diavolo at least has some feelings, so it makes Lucifer's obliviousness seem deliberate? Which makes his denial seem too strong? And then it just gives a more composed version of Mammon denying liking MC vibes

Even with all of this I say Lucifer's feelings are up to interpretation because compared to everything Diavolo does there's barely any evidence

Also Lucifer's one of the "more obviously in love with MC" brothers - he and Mammon are the only ones who had MC as their greatest desire in Thirteen's cave. So however the players decide to interpret that relationship will also factor in.
