@morifactory to continue das comfort)
With a somber nod, the Paladin let her take as much time as she needed but he was here just to give the priestess in training(?) yet he really wanted to help...somehow.
"Take all the time you need, Lady Lillian..."
Torn between two duties, one to serve his queen and protect her kingdom but also to have this ambassador have a much more pleasant time here, but here he is trying to cheer her spirit up. He didn't know what or why she was crying and he wanted to know why.

"This has been going on for sometime...I wanna say when he became the advisor. Ever since then, he has been poisoning or doing something to cloud our minds and tried to manipulate us...more so the queen than I, Which worries me the most and he knows it."
He rests his hand over his fake one, calling back the bitter memories.
"Im convinced he's the last of the Yuan-ti, trying to reclaim their lands and force all to be the subject of their vile god"
╚»★ "Wait.. you think he did something to the both of you..? I know that there was something off about the queen back during the party when I first got here, and there is certainly something off with him.. but you? If there was something wrong I would have noticed. Unless it's something minor compared to her?"

"I don't think a church could even contain the amount of sin and guilt I feel upon my soul."
He began, giving a low sigh as he, brushed some hair away from his face so she may get a good and full view of this brooding paladin's face.
"As you know, I took an oath of the crown, to protect my queen and country from the evils of this world. I call upon the gods to smite the wrong and wicked...but I feel, that whatever this advisor did to myself and the queen feels strained and...manipulating."
╚»★ Her head perked up at the word 'confession', being a person of the holy and pious field, she expected such a thing to occur at some point. But, who knew a paladin would be her first?
"W..Well.. typically we would have to be in a church for that, as it's away from prying ears, but.. I.. I suppose.."

"...I know."
She needn't say who she was thinking of, because he knows all to well. He's living in this. His faith and loyalty were tested and toyed by that snake man. He knows his alternative motives and he just needs to expose it to the light of the world.
"Do you....take confessions?"
╚»★ "...I'm very grateful to have both your company and Siff's. I'm being frank,, I fear what could have befallen me if I didn't."
Her mind drifted to the advisor, Ajarfi, an his odd persistence in trying to become acquainted with her. Even after all the strange behaviors she had witnessed. Something here was definitely wrong.. and Balthazar was the only person she could really rely on right now.

Her words hit him hard, yet with how stoic he looked, gazing from her curled body to his metallic, magical hand, he felt that low mood sink into his core.
"I understand."
Closing it tight as he takes a deep breath.
"I understand more than anyone how hard it is to be far from something and someone you hold precious and dear to your heart that being away for long can swallow one into sadness. I feel its cold anger running in my veins."
He walks to be beside her, sitting as well to show that he's here for her.
"But, I am here for you now....and if the gods allow me the grace of luck, perhaps continuously."
╚»★ She couldn't only silently nod as she took the time she needed to quell her tears. Homesickness was a heavy burden on the heart, even more so when she had someone waiting for her back home. Malenydd was quite far from Jendahar after all.
"It just sinks in, being so far from home.. that I can realize just how alone I am here for a moment."
