It is too familiar. It's more familiar than anything he's seen before, in all of his centuries. It's something that haunts him, waking life and dreams alike, on those rare occasions that he sleeps. He doesn't like to show fear, but he feels it, feels the beating of his hearts increase as he steps back, as he reaches for his sonic, as though it can protect him. "When will you learn," he asks, "that there will be no extermination?"

spotify wrapped | always accepting ↳ 55. night channels - foxing
Her fault. Her fault. Her fault. He was going to die, and it was all her fault. Hands pressed desperately over his middle, trying to staunch the bleeding that flowed endlessly, Fox tried to save the life that was already slipping away between her fingers. Shredded muscle and sinew twisted with the tattered remains of his robes, weaving together around her incapable digits like a grotesque mockery of a cat’s cradle. Maybe with medical equipment, earthly objects from that life left behind, his life would be spared—but there was nothing. Nothing she could reach for or grab, no one to call, there was nothing she could do. The great Doctor Strange was dying and the world would be lesser for it.
“Please, please,” her arms were shaking as she begged for that tiny spark of something to appear. Concentrating, digging as deep as she could for any shred of healing power or magic or whatever it was. The shaking became worse. The edges around him, laying prone beneath her unlit hands, began to fade. Melting into a darkness she fought to keep back. Blood dripped from her nostrils, a splitting headache brought forth a spasm of pain, and still she tried. Frantic for anything and lacking in everything. There was no fighting the dizziness that sent the world around them spinning, meshing every color together until all she could see was black.
A deep red glow filled the space and from it walked a woman. Spine straight, moving unhurried to kneel beside the dying Strange. “We clung to our warp weighted loom,” she began softly. “By the time we were done, we were woven in. Such constriction from a self-made trap.” It was Fox and it wasn’t. She was different. Perhaps a little older, confident, oozing with the darkness of power, and looking down upon him with the softness of seeing an old friend. A hand, fingers sooty with darkness, rested over his wound. Again, a glow began, pulsing a deep orange where it had once been gold. The pieces of him that had fallen apart began to weave back together once more. Cells healing in a way that seemed wholly impossible.
With her other hand, she pushed the hair back from his brow. “And on these antlers, dry-rot cracks through.” As if he was crowned or meant to be. This Fox, she glanced to the other beside him. Unconscious and incapable. “I left myself too open for you,” she reflected before turning her attention back to him. “So, by now I know what decay is.” There was a sadness in the way she said it, as if all three had been connected in some mysterious way that had led her down the darker path. The corrupted path. Wanda Maximoff was not the only witch tempted by that which she could not have.
“I’ll lay on waves until the night channels end,” Fox stated, as if telling him where she would be. Where he could find the beginning to the end that would not come for him. Not now, at least. She leaned close to him, his body nearly healed completely beneath her hand. “Future love,” she whispered against the shell of his ear. “Don’t fall apart.” As quickly as she had come, she was gone. Disappearing into the fading glow like a figment of a twisted imagination.

Mom went to see the barbie movie with my two siblings. She liked it a lot, found it extremely funny and related to it, which is good! especially since she didn't have high expectations for it originally. However she also said that the movie applies more to her generation than the current one (she was born in the 70s) because she thinks feminism is more prevalent now and I'm... not sure how to feel about that, chief.

It wasn't that he thought he was right, or that he thought he had a point, but more that he knew he wasn't going to let him have his point, so he may as well give it up. Still... "I didn't think that you'd be so insistent on pointing out that one of your best victories never happened." A dig, unnecessary, but one that felt quite good. "Maybe it's better than remembering that you failed."
He couldn't say that he disagreed, though, that they were unlucky to remember. He'd always remembered, and it always hurt. He hated it, sometimes, this curse of memory. Sometimes he thought it might be nice to have a human mind, a human memory.
"It's a problem when you don't know how to stop." The Master stepped forward, but the Doctor remained. "Do you truly think it's wonderful to have so much blood on your hands? Your victories are drenched in it."
He did care, though. He wanted to know. He wanted to hear about this man, this friend. It wasn't jealousy, but interest. Curiosity. "I do want to know. I want to know the sort of person you've gotten to follow you around." He supposed there'd been Lucy Saxon, but she'd shot him in the end. There'd been plenty of people, over the years, he supposed, but he still wondered.
"Never on purpose." He did leave victims, yes, but it was without cruelty.
capaciityforpain:
Yes, he tried to kill everyone. And the Doctor tried to save everyone. He was cruel, and the Doctor was kind. They were not special to each other, and, yet, they were. How could they not be? They had always been special to one another. They had been friends, once, two sides of the same coin, and that hadn’t changed. There could be neither without the other. He knew that. He had always known that. He wondered whether the Master knew, too. Whether he was lying, or whether he truly believed that.
He doubted he would ever know.
“Yes, it was erased, so that’s all fine, isn’t it?” He scoffed. “And that’s all that matters to you, isn’t it? That you win. It doesn’t matter how many people you step on to get there, as long as you win.” He supposed he could respect that he admitted it, but it wasn’t a nice thing to admit.
His eyebrows rose at what could only be considered a touch of a outburst. That was interesting. His head tilted, his eyebrows furrowed, not in confusion, but thought. Should he press? Or allow? Try to squeeze some humanity from him, or allow him to hide? Maybe both.
“It’s not a bad thing to feel,” he said, almost softly. Maybe that would be too much, maybe it would continue to push him, but he had to say something. He couldn’t leave everything untouched, every chance not taken. Maybe it would frustrate him, might send him down the opposite way, but that wasn’t what he wanted. Maybe he was dreaming, seeing things where there were none, but it wouldn’t stop him from trying.
He would, though, try to remain calm. “I know,” he responded, trying to keep his tone steady. “I know who you are.” Perhaps that was more of a threat than it should have been, but he did know him. He used to, anyway. “And I know what you do. I don’t chase after you, you know. But our paths cross, and I can’t let you go.” Not like he was going to listen, but he did like to assert it anyway.
Then they moved on, and his eyebrows raised. Whatever vulnerability was gone, and the Doctor had to accept that. Even if he did continue to tease him, playing with him like a cat with a feather. “I might,” he said, not too desperate, not too aloof.
“That is the problem. You enjoying yourself is not something that tends to be without its victims.”
“If it’s erased, then that means it didn’t happen. If we’re getting technical? It’s sorta one of the points where it gets,” The Master paused for a moment, trying to figure out the correct words before he gave a shrug, “one of those points where it did happen, but didn’t happen. Where most don’t remember it and those who do? They were unlucky. Like us. Like him.”
“I do enjoy winning. Is there a problem with it?” A simple question as the Master took another step forward. “I enjoy actually succeeding. Most of the time you have to do clean up, but come on, Doctor! I think I have been winning more often! Isn’t that grand? Isn’t that wonderful!?”
“Oh, I doubt you would care, Doctor! Me? Talking about him. Would you even like to know why he’s stayed? It wasn’t because i’m forcing him. I’ve allowed him to walk out many times. Actually, he has walked out.” Something that the Master disliked, but it wasn’t like he was angry about it either. Not anymore at least. “And yet he’s come back.”
“Oh, come on now, Doctor! You leave victims everywhere!”

↣ INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM
"I'm doing the right thing," he said, utterly convinced that he was. It was rare that he wasn't certain of himself, of the things he did, and he had a tendency to pretend even when he wasn't. Besides, his general rule tended to be that if the Master thought it was wrong, then he was probably on the right track.
"Stay out of my way." Not a threat, necessarily, but a promise. A promise that he would do what he had to, that he would go through him if he had to, but that he hoped very much that he wouldn't.

Does healing magic exist in Twisted Wonderland? Outside of battles I mean.
In the Savanaclaw Arc, when students were getting hurt, I didn't realize it was a big deal (aside from the bullying aspect). They could just heal themselves right? But when it said students would drop out of the Spelldrive team, which was days away, it confused me.
Is healing magic an actual thing or just a battle gimmick? If so, why wouldn't they use it in school?
Hello hello! Thank you for this question! 🏥
We have had many examples in the game of people becoming injured in various ways and requiring both time and a medical specialist in order to recover:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
・Trey catching a cold ・Riddle catching a cold ・Silver twisting his ankle ・A student getting burned by a cauldron (by Ruggie) ・A student hurting their ankle (by Ruggie) ・Trey hurting his ankle, to the point he is "on crutches for a while" (by Ruggie)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
・Jamil cutting himself with a knife (by Ruggie) ・Ruggie getting injured in the spelldrive tournament (in revenge for all the people he'd injured earlier) and dried out during Leona's overblot ・Post-overblot medical treatment ・Ace and Deuce injured by CHARON ・Riddle getting too close to Tartarus ・Vil getting too close to Tartarus
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are also references to NRC's "resident counselors and medical mages appointed by the Department of Education," and the novels, where there is more detail about things like how long it takes the students to physically recover from injuries, like Riddle:
"You need not worry,’ Riddle brushes off Leona's mockery. ‘I can manage my own health just fine.’ He says this, but in reality, quite a bit of time had passed before he had been able to so much as stand on his own feet after overblotting. He had felt so heavy; been in so much pain. It had been as if his entire body had burned itself out, along with his magical power." - Twst the second novel
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In Book 5 Vil mentions taking "a painkiller potion" but nothing about a healing potion, so if such a thing exists it seems that the students do not have access to them--and they do seem to exist, or at least they used to, if you were a member of the royal guard of Briarland:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They receive healing potions from a fae soldier they encounter, and Baul provides an injured General Lilia with a potion after he is hurt in a trap.
We do not know the nature of his injuries but it seems the trap came close to killing him, and the potion that he drinks is not an instantaneous cure-all: even after drinking he is still too injured to teleport.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And despite their access to this potion that was able to keep Lilia alive there are still wounded soldiers amongst their men, and Baul mentions combat medics, whom it doesn't seem they would need if healing potions were both useful and plentiful--maybe only used as a last resort?
And magical healing is mentioned again in Book 7: the magic suffusing Mount Dread, that Lilia says "empowers us fae," though it does not heal him completely and "could end up harmful" to humans.
Tumblr media
So it may be safe to say that healing magic is not really a thing at NRC? 🧐
I agree that it would be odd for Trey to be on crutches, for athletes to be dropping out of tournaments and for Riddle to be out of school for an undetermined amount of time to recover from his overblot if they could all be instantly heal regardless of injury--so it is possible that they cannot! :>

There's literally no way in HELL Foggy is dead. For a show this well written? Nope! Especially when Foggy's had his death faked not once, but TWICE in the comics.
There is so clearly something amiss, because why would Bullseye hit Foggy in the chest rather than the head? It's not like he missed. That shot was purposeful. To be fair, Bullseye in the comics is a bit of a tomfooler. A sick fuck who loves to play with his food (and we love him for it). So, I would not put it past him to have shot Foggy the way that he did specifically to torment Matt, knowing he'd have to listen to his best friend choke on his own blood while he could do nothing about it. That's the kind of thing that would make a kill oh-so worth it.
Tumblr media
But this aspect of Bullseye's character hasn't been concretely fleshed out in the show yet. Furthermore, does he even know that Matt is Daredevil? Would he know how important Foggy is to DD? Let alone know the capacity of his abilities? It's fully possible that he put two and two together (he did in the comics, after all), but Dex was so clearly going after Foggy specifically -- like this shit was orchestrated. Did he seriously just go after him because he has a grudge? Against Foggy? Of all people? Foggy? For what, the selfie??? ... Maybe -- BUT THAT"S NOT THE POINT I'M TRYING TO MAKE. There's something bigger at play here. Someone hired Bullseye and specifically told him not to go for a headshot on Foggy.
Now, even if the scene is laid out differently, it can be no coincidence that A. Matt and Foggy are apart when Foggy's injured, B. Matt frantically listens to Foggy's heartbeat to confirm it's still there, and C. that there has been a funeral without us (the viewer) ever seeing a corpse.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aaaaaaand who's behind it all? Who hired Bullseye to shoot Foggy in the chest rather than the head? Who's hiding Foggy from us? Queen diva Vanessa Fisk herself. Whether she spoke to Dex herself or through a third party is undetermined, but she is most definitely behind this.
After all, did she not tell Fisk that she "made this business bulletproof"? Would this not include her having some form of leverage against Daredevil if he were to step on their toes -- something to keep him away or to possibly get him to do something they want? She knows how much dirt Matt has on her and Fisk. So, why wouldn't she ensure that she has something to dangle over him in return?
Tumblr media
This first episode plain as day establishes that while Fisk was going about his stuff with Echo, she's been plottin', schemin', and fortifying their business all on her own without telling Fisk anything. He's completley out of the loop! And hell if she gives a fuck about the deal he made with Matt in s3 ep13.
Speaking of season 3, the final couple episodes clearly established that being a part of Fisk's world was a top priority to her -- she is passionate about this. Hell, even her sitting in his chair compelling him to have Ray killed was clearly meant to be some form of foreshadowing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's an obvious rift between her and Fisk, and she has so clearly become the puppet master of their operation -- the queen always having more moves and opportunities on the board than the king.
Tumblr media
Due to how many questions and holes are surrounding Foggy's death, and with Vanessa implying that her and Fisk's illegal doings are iron-tight, I am so incredibly convinced that the show is adapting this aspect of Brubaker's run. That Vanessa hired Bullseye to gravely injure Foggy, then when he was taken to the hospital and operated on (luckily coming out of the ordeal alive), she had his death faked while he was thrown into witness protection.
Tumblr media
Now, why would she do this? What's her game? Honestly, I'm unsure! It could just be insurance over Matt for future use, but this is pretty fuckin' elaborate to just be that, no? There must be some game she's playing -- some long-run scheme she's been concocting. I'm unsure of what it could be! Vanessa wasn't in Soule's Mayor Fisk arc, so I'm curious to see how her presence will effect that plotline. Good God it is literally going to kill me having to wait a week per episode!!!
--
Now to finish this off, the good news is that though we may be weeping out of sheer guttural agony right now, know that we'll be getting the sweetest reunion in time <3

If anyone is wondering why we got an entire season of Daemon Targaryen in Luigi’s Mansion (Aka Harrenhal), it’s because in Fire & Blood Daemon disappears for an undetermined amount of time and it’s quite nebulous as to what he was doing….therefore Ryan and Co. had to imagine what he could’ve been up to and thought a haunted, psychedelic arc was the perfect explanation. However, we know they are drawing parallels to Daemon and Aemond, so we better not be surprised when they make Aemond go through Luigi’s Mansion 2.0 in Season 3.

It is only natural for someone who has lived as long as he did to carry such a sentiment towards a youngling that thinks are already past being called as such. A sigh; he has to play the part anyway, so they are right. ❝ Yeah, yeah. The most alarming stage of their upbringing. ❞ He throws humorously, waving a little as if to dismiss their words. ❝ A mango flavor wrapped in a rainbow roll-up? ❞ His first teen-appropriate suggestion, or so he thinks. ❝ Or a baskin robbin’s banana-split? ❞ These don’t sound too bad even for their age— right?

↣ BUZZFEED UNSOLVED SENTENCE STARTERS
"Maybe."
His voice was somewhat distant as his fingers ran over the pages of a book, long dried ink on brittle pages. Musings, yes, paranoid, certainly, and, if the quality of the writing and scribbling in the margins was anything to go by, likely unstable, but he had learned many things over the years, and one was to pay attention to people that others deemed different. Unstable, mad, paranoid. Sometimes they were, yes, but sometimes they were the only ones who saw the truth.
"But not everyone who's paranoid is wrong."
