When Matias asked Hope if she’d like to join him and his crew on some treasure hunts, she figured any not? Add a bit more spice and adventure to her life.

Currently, what she wasn’t expecting, was to be held hostage with a rival crew who just so happened to be searching for the same treasure. But Hope knew Matias was clever, and had a plan for any scenario that could go wrong, including now.

“I’m telling ya’ll, just let me go now, and he’ll go easy on you. I don’t even have the treasure! I couldn’t fit it all in my jacket pocket!”

Hope was tied up, hands behind her back and right rope around her torso.

“We know you’re lying, Lassie!” The rival captain shouts, before slapping her in the face. A red mark was left there. “Where is he?!”

“Now. . . Now you’re in trouble,”

Hope graciously took his hand, allowing Matias to help her up. Smiling in relief, she leaned her body against his. “You guys make it look so easy. I’m glad I’m on your team,” she looked down towards her clothes, noticing the hole in her shirt from when the captain tried to slice her with it. “This was my favourite, too!”

Hope looked out to his crew as they all worked on their tasks. The rival captain was yanked out of the water before being escorted to join his buddies. She glanced up at Matias, “We could use the extra supplies, but what would you rather? Raid his ship, or find the chest this bad boy can open?” Hope offered as she flashed the key in his face.

“This is him being reasonable, by the way!” Hope shot a jab towards the baddie captain.

Pulling herself up to her feet, she dodged incoming attacks and kicked her way out of encounters, trying to push back any surprise attacks trying to interrupt Matias’s fight.

One of Matias crew mates ran up, slicing her bonds free with his sword.

“Thanks, mate!” Hope sighed with relief.

He ran back to join the fight as Hope quickly dug around her pockets and pulled out a key. The key to the treasure they found earlier before she was caught.

“That key, give it to me!” The rival captain saw her before attempting a swing, Hope barely avoiding the blade as it nicked a hole in her shirt.

She toppled to the ground, dropping the key. She dove for it, grasping it at the same time another rival pirate was reaching for it.

“Sorry!” Hope spun her body around and kicked him in the gut, his body splashing into the lagoon below.
