I WANTED Dean to come at sam and sam takes him down but Dean’s struggling and Sammy just straight up bites him in the meat of his pectoral. Dean goes absolutely limp under him and as soon as the blood hits Sam’s tongue he’s gone mindless, sucking and gnawing at the crescent of punctures like he’s trying to nurse from Dean’s chest. And Dean lets him. Dean strokes his hair and eggs him on because he KNOWS just how much this will fuck Sam up when he’s sober again and Sam is crying and digging his nails into deans back and his nose is running and his chin is all over blood.

Dean gets turned back and they never talk about it. Dean still has the bite scars.

Demon Blood Sam Headcanon:

His blood literally is that of demons, if I spell required demon blood they could use his

Being cut with a demon knife hurts more than any other knife

Holy-water taste weird to him, it doesn’t burn him but it still has a weird taste, if it’s thrown at him he feels like a few pinpricks are poking him

He can’t be trap in demon traps but if he were to go inside one he feels kinda tired

He can kinda see the outlines of hell-hounds

Demons (in meat suits) look weird to him, so do angels

If he uses a lot of power his eyes can go black, but when his really angry his eyes flash yellow

It's such a subtle choice to have Dean say this line as foreshadowing for Sam as the audience is gearing up to find out about the demon blood thing in the coming episodes. And to cut to Sam's face and his reaction after Dean says that. Because there's no self-awareness in Sam's face, because at this point he's tried demon blood. His face is just sort of reassessing the statement, maybe even considering that Dean's awareness of this concept. But there's no fear or concern or guilt, because he's not addicted to demon blood yet.

And yet, Sam still chooses to go with Ruby at the end of the episode, knowing he'll have to drink demon blood again. Suggesting that even if he's not addicted yet, he's not immune to the lure of demon blood's power and what it can do after trying it.

I really hope that Sam never donated blood before he realized he had demon blood in him.... some poor schmuck receives Sam's blood and immediately combusts. the doctors are baffled. meanwhile Sam is completely oblivious and patting himself on the back.
