Do you think the Good King had friends who were not royalty? Because I honestly see him capable of having hit it off with Badwolf (Not necessarily a friendship but they do get along well) I also see the Evil Queen getting jealous of anyone who is with the Good King.

yeah. he was definetly friends with Badwolf, Pinocchio and Mad Hatter. I think that he had quiet a lot friends who were royal growing up becuse of his status, but then when he got disowned due to his destiny he was slowly going low contact with royals and starting to spend more time with commoners.

He still has a very close friendship with Mad Hatter and Pinocchio

You know, at first, I was just going to delete this ask cuz it honestly pissed me off. I'll be completely transparent here, it made me extremely uncomfortable...it still does, but that's a me thing.

Instead, I'm going to use this as an opportunity to say that anyone who sends an ask like this...I'm going to delete it. I don't and won't draw stuff like that...ever. This is inappropriate and I won't tolerate asks, dms, etc. that include content of this nature.

If we're talking about "tasteless Elvis jokes"...why do comedians ALWAYS have to make fun of E's weight gain and drug addiction towards the end of his life? Yes, I know there were times he didn't look well or act right, but this still just feels wrong to joke about.

Like, how would you feel if someone made fun of your family member who was going through problems like this? I just can't understand it. Why do they do this?

I think the simple answer is that it's the 'easy' thing to mock, Anon. I don't think I've ever seen any celebrity's death as mocked, ridiculed, and played up for 'laughs' as Elvis', and it's terrible given how much of a gentle soul he was. He loved and cared about people--yes, he was human, and yes, he was flawed, but he did not, and does not, deserve the constant mocking that he continues to get. It's really deplorable.

I don't understand it, Anon. He deserves so much better than he's been treated.

What's the first YR fic you read and loved? And the last?

the first fic YR I ever read was also the first fic I loved, which was such a huge win and kinda. cemented the fact that I was gone for this show, gone for Wilmon and accepted my place in the trenches.

That was A Glimpse of Us by the lovely Spidaya / @simons-purplehoodie . I made the mistake of reading this in public MULTIPLE times (the mistake was cause it kept making me cry). It's very well-written, and I just... I love a childhood best friends to lovers, I love Wille being such an oblivious idiot, I love ice-skating shenanigans and yeah

The last fic I read and loved is one I'm currently in the middle of, one that everyone and their mother and their father and i suppose their second cousin too has read and loved (for good reason!!) and one that I am just so late to the party too

The concept in general is incredible (I mean, a bake-off au???? who doesn't love that!) but it's also so funny, and cozy and fluffy and genuinely like a warm hug. Lia KNOWS how to do tension and it has me kicking my feet and giggling every time, but also the way she writes Simon and Wille with such care???? ugh

I saw one post from you and immediately fell in love with your art style, each piece makes me feel so many complicated emotions and nostalgia for things I don't even think exist? Its hard to describe. Do you have any tips for coloring in digital art?

first and foremost, thank so much for such kind words. i'm really happy that my work has resonated with you, it means a lot to hear!

in regards to digital coloring, i use a myriad of methods. i've mentioned it briefly in a past ask, but this post may be helpful! it details my process with some visual examples. though to be honest, its a bit difficult for me to articulate my process through text alone... i'm thinking of uploading a timelapse, or sharing a public .psd file that everyone can look through maybe? i hope that'll be helpful enough!

but in general, i typically work from grayscale to color. so long as your art program has a hue/saturation slider (or gradient map function), you can use the multiply/color dodge/overlay layers to add color to your values. from there i start collaging textures i find through stock websites, screenshots (mainly late 90s/early 2000s games), real life photos, etc. i try to work from big to small, instead using textures/colors to give the "illusion" of more depth. my biggest piece of advice is to experiment, try merging layers together and painting details on top of them; there's a lot you can do with a digital art program that is /very/ difficult to replicate traditionally. i even use traditional sketches as my base, only to paint on top of them digitally (mainly so i can fix my mistakes as im heavy handed lmao...)

Oh that remind me of a character idea I had once for Yozakura where the computer system of the Mansion actually was giving an AI sentience and become part of the family. I called it Uchi, which translates to house, and it would see Shion as it's mom, which she would pretend to hate but if you hurt her computer child she would destroy you.

Omgosh that's such a cute idea T.T i love the thought of the house being a literal part of the family, and Shion adopting a computer child is PERFECT.
