Finally got to see Kendrick's Superbowl performance! My feedback:
1. This is a Masterclass in "I'm not Black, how do I sing these songs" because they didn't let him say a single cuss word and not a singular n word😭 that was for y'all. I was cussing. Every word. So it's possible!
2. Oh the messages were unreal. I loved this performance. "It wasn't fun" this man just spoke the importance of Blackness to America, how I'm forced to play a game I was always meant to lose, and all its unserved promises to my community in exchange for said game while Herr Donald Trump was in the audience. Fuck your fun, there was something that needed to be SAID!
3. It was also incredibly fun! I am a huge fan of Peekaboo, so to hear him perform it was 😤😤😤🤌🏾🔥
4. They needed to turn up his mic. I feel like they did that outta fear. Unfortunate.
5. Camera work level KPop music video 😤
6. It's always wild to me how white America loves Samuel L Jackson despite his very pro Black history. Perfect choice for Uncle Sam indeed!
7. 😈🚶🏾‍♀️"Say Drake" 🚶🏾‍♀️😈
8. "Game Over" at the end was superior wordplay. Game over as in I'm not playing white America's games anymore, game over as in Drake's finished and I win. Iconic. 🤌🏾🔥
I might have to actually go see him live fr 👀

Don't Be a Tease
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x female reader
Word Count: 1.7K
Summary: You and Bucky are texting back and forth while he's on a mission and you decide to tease him a little...
Author's Note: The new Thunderbolts trailer has me so excited to see Bucky! I can't wait! And this idea is nothing new but I love getting him riled up! Thank you all so much for reading! Much love always! ❤️❤️❤️Divider by the lovely @firefly-graphics thank you Daisy! PS Italics are text messages :)
Warnings: fun flirty tension and mostly smut, fingering, oral (f rec), edging, orgasm denial, choking, p in v (wrap it up kids), Bucky is soft in between it all
Tumblr media Tumblr media
‘It’s really unfair that you’re walking around like that and I’m not with you…how many women have approached you so far?’
You stare at your phone screen, watching the three dots until his text pops up.
‘The only woman paying any attention to me right now is Yelena and it’s only because she has to. Ha.’
‘Nice try. You look hot. I want to come to the party…’
‘Don’t you dare leave the apartment doll face. You know it’s not safe and besides, I can’t concentrate with you around…you’re very distracting.’
‘HEY!’
'❤️😘I love you.'
‘Love you too. Be careful and come home soon.’
‘Always doll. I can’t wait. Miss you.’
‘Miss you more.’
~picture~
Bucky stares at his phone, his thumb hovering over the screen as the muscles in his jaw tighten and shift. He let’s out a low growl, startling an older woman that happens to be walking by.
His hand grips the phone tighter and he licks his lips with a strained exhale.
“Barnes. We must go. It’s time,” Yelena says, surprising him.
He makes a slight jump and her lips curve into a knowing smirk.
“What?” he grunts.
“Nothing,” she responds her smile widening. “Let us get this over with so you can get home to your girl. Da?”
He nods and glances at his phone one more time before he slips it into his pocket.
You don’t bother waiting for an answer after sending the picture and place your phone down on the bed to reach for your book. It’s hard to concentrate when all you can think about is him, but you do your best, letting the words on the page whisk you away for now.
Tumblr media
By the time Bucky arrives back home you’re half asleep, your eyes heavy and the words on the page blurring together.
He barely makes any sound as he unlocks the door, his footsteps the only indication he’s headed toward the bedroom.
The light from the hallway filters into the room but his broad frame blocks most of it, hiding him in shadow.
“Bucky,” you whisper and sit up, now fully awake.
He moves toward you with purposeful steps and stands at the edge of the bed, his eyes raking over every inch of you.
“Doll,” he murmurs, remaining motionless, taking in every hint of lace, every tiny bow, and every curve of your body.
You sit up and kneel on the bed in front of him, sliding your hands up and down his chest. His fingers twitch at his sides and you lean closer, brushing the hair from his face.
He grabs your hips and drags you into him, the hardness in his pants digging into your stomach. You let out a surprised gasp that turns into a moan he swallows with his kiss.
When he breaks away from your lips, it’s only so he can whisper in your ear. “Do you like teasing me doll?”
You nod with a shiver, clutching onto his shoulders.
“I..” You struggle to get the words out as his lips trail down your neck.
His long finger hooks under the strap of your lingerie and he traces the calloused pad along the curve of your shoulder.
“Mm,” he hums, sliding his hand down your stomach and between your thighs, pressing the thin fabric of your panties against your wetness. “So wet for me and I’ve barely touched you.”
Your hips jerk into his hand and he circles your clit with a featherlight touch.
“I’m gonna return the favor doll.”
“Bucky,” you whine, barely registering his threat.
His mouth curves up as his gaze darkens, satisfaction mingling with the heat of desire. You tug futilely on his bow tie, desperate for more of his skin but he stops you with a firm hand to your wrist.
“Keep your hands to yourself for now.”
Your mouth falls open with a defiant protest, but he interrupts you. “Or I’ll bind you and stuff my cock in your mouth to keep you quiet.”
A small gasp is all that escapes your parted lips before he covers them with his, carefully and deliberately unhooking your bra and pulling it off your body. Your stiff nipples brush against the soft material of his tux, building the tension about to snap in your body.
His finger continues to tease between your legs before he drags your panties down to your knees. They stop there, the bed preventing him from pulling them off any more so instead he gives them a sharp tug and rips the fabric from your legs.
“You could have just…”
His kiss silences you again and he bites your lower lip, tugging it between his teeth before soothing it with his tongue.
At the same time, his finger slides inside you, slowly pumping in and out before he adds another. You wrap your arms around his neck, clinging to him as he pushes you down onto the bed and settles between your legs.
Like a man starved, his tongue moves against you, his fingers still buried deep, and a cry of his name tears from your throat.
Your legs try to close reflexively, but his grip keeps them wide open. He isn’t slow and easy and when you look down at him, still fully dressed, head buried between your thighs, you feel your release build.
His tongue finds your clit and you urge him on with a gasped, “more.”
“Who said you could make any demands doll face?” he murmurs into your skin.
“But…”
He dips his head again and you lose all train of thought, legs shaking, pressure building. You rock your hips toward his face and feel his smile. You’re so close, your stomach clenching and he pulls away.
“No! Bucky please! Let me come!”
“Doll,” he warns. “You’ll come when I tell you to.”
He slides up your body, his lips and chin wet with your arousal, brushing them across your mouth and letting you taste yourself. You kiss him back, raking your fingers through his hair and then down his back.
His fingers are back between your legs, two sliding inside you as he swallows your moans with this mouth. You buck into his hand and when he presses his thumb against your clit you pull away from his lips and arch your back.
“Bucky!” you cry out.
He pushes a third finger inside you and your legs tremble at the pleasure and sensation of being stretched. You can’t catch your breath, his thumb still working over your clit as his fingers fuck you.
Your body locks up and you clutch at anything you can, his back, the sheets, his ass and then his fingers are gone.
“No,” you beg with a whimper.
“I told you…I’m going to tease you back.”
“This isn’t teasing…it’s torture!”
His touch is gentle as he traces the line of your jaw, passing his fingertips over your swollen lips before kissing them.
“Should I stop then? I can go get changed and we can go to bed if you like.”
“Bucky…” you groan with impatience.
“That’s what I thought doll face.”
Your breath comes out unevenly as you watch him sit up, take off his jacket, and undo his pants. His cock springs free against his abs and he wraps his fist around it, pumping slowly as he lowers himself over you.
He teases your entrance, sliding himself through your wetness and bumping your clit with every roll of his hips. You squirm beneath him, trying to line yourself up so he can get inside you.
“So needy,” he whispers into your neck.
With an incoherent whine you wrap your legs around him, and he finally starts to push inside you. You struggle to breathe through the stretch but he pushes in more, making you take him deeper, and your eyes flutter closed.
“Open your eyes. Look at me doll.”
You obey and snap them open, his hips thrusting to bury the last of him deep inside you.
“You feel incredible. I can’t get enough,” he murmurs.
He keeps his pace steady, each languid movement setting your nerves ablaze with an unhurried and unrelenting build up.
His eyes focus on your face, and he smooths his metal hand up to your throat, circling it with little pressure. You clench around him with anticipation, and he groans, his grip tightening.
Everything fades around you as he squeezes harder, restricting your air flow. All your other senses dull, leaving you with just the heady sensation of his hand around your throat and the rapture of him driving into you.
Your mouth opens to get air, only letting the barest amounts in as your heart hammers against your chest. His blue eyes are fixed on yours, entranced with your every reaction. His thumb caresses your neck, the gesture so tender it makes your whole-body shiver.
He releases you just as his warm breath fans your skin and he shifts to kiss the spots on your neck where his fingers left a light print. You suck in a large gasp of air, your back arching.
He swears, his hips now snapping forward in rough, uncontrolled thrusts. His metal hand moves between your legs, working over the spot you need him most.
“Come for me doll.”
That’s all it takes for you to let go, spiraling into bliss, your entire body shaking beneath him with the force of your orgasm.
He doesn’t stop driving into you, his lips parted with his heavy breathing and needy moans rumbling out.
“Fuck doll,” he grunts, and you feel him pulse and spill inside you.
He drops forward, his hands on either side of your head as he kisses you softly.
“Should I make you come again?” he breathes, hips still rocking slowly.
You sigh out his name, wrapping your arms around his neck and sinking into the mattress. After a moment, he shifts his weight, pulling out of you to lie down and curl you into his chest. Your head falls to the crook of his neck and silence settles as he skates his fingertips along the curve of your spine.
“Are you okay?” he asks, softly pressing his lips to your forehead.
“Mm hm,” you mumble out and nuzzle closer.
“Maybe you’ll think twice about teasing me when I’m on a mission.”
Your lips meet his neck. “I can’t wait to do it again.”

Day 12: Three Shades of Sin
Le Sserafim Kazuha & Yunjin & TripleS Xinyu
words: 11,736 12 Days of Praelmas Masterlist
Tumblr media
Look, you know this story starts with the way Xinyu has her fingers threaded beneath Kazuha's jaw, her lipstick smeared off in bits and pieces, but that’s not actually how it ends. It’s a slow descent; watching your girlfriend kiss someone new is a beautiful disaster that never really loses its lustre, and the truth is, there’s no moral at the end of this tale - the closest you’ll get to something cathartic is this:
Yunjin grinning at you, sunshine-bright and wickedly gorgeous. “You gonna invite us in, or what?”
-
First things first: the bar is packed - oh, it's always packed - but especially so on the nights when Kazuha performs. It's not a burlesque club, not really; in theory, it's not all that much more than an upscale lounge for yuppies with more money than they need, trying to pretend they're living sophisticated lives with a splash of debauchery on the side.
It's packed, obviously, because they're getting a little more debauchery than expected tonight - but all the familiar faces are there: the grad-school crowd who treat this club like the neighbourhood dive bar; the pretentious A-list types who claim to hate this kind of thing but always seem to show up anyway; the trust-fund kids and their vices and habits; the semi-locals, like you. They’re the mainstay: you know their drink orders, what they’re into, whether you’ve gone home with them before. You know who is dating who. Who's got a looser distinction between romance and just fooling around. Who got fired. Who's always fucked up beyond all help. You know the girl sitting at the end of the bar nursing a cosmo and waiting for you, alone.
She'd come to see Kazuha perform like everyone else.
"You missed my boyfriend," Xinyu says to you, just shy of winking. She looks beautiful - she always does, of course, but this time: she's wearing black leggings and a crop top that shows off the cut of her waist, her toned abs. The skirt is so small it's basically an accessory to how she's got her dark hair pinned up into something half-bedroom, half-backstage-chic, hoop earrings that dangle just above the slope of her neck.
"Did I?" you reply, coy. It's not flirting - or maybe it is, you're not sure.
She tips her head, cheek resting delicately on her knuckles. You end up staring at her mouth; the words coquettish and prurient and absolutely, unquestionably fuckable are swirling around your brain. "Yep," she says, and her lips curve beautifully. "You did."
Xinyu turning up the dial until she's impossible to resist is pretty much standard-operating-procedure here- it's sort of like this place runs through her blood. She's claimed ownership of it for herself.
"It's too bad," she says, drumming acrylics on the countertop. She shoots you a look that's all bedroom eyes: that drowsy, liquid-lidded kind of want that tells you she'd have her head tilted back against your pillows in less than a few minutes if you asked. "I think you would've really gotten along."
"Guess I'll just have to settle for his girlfriend." You lean closer to her, conspiratorial. "This is fun. What else are we doing tonight?"
"Oh, yeah, you know." She stretches long and languid, satisfied. "Same as usual." That means dancing - some partying, probably lots of drinking, flirting. You're going to take her home and pin her wrists to the pillow above her head. You don't mind any of that - it's become your life, these last months, too. You know the routine here like you've known it for years.
"Want something to drink?" you ask her, and Xinyu considers you. Like she's going to pounce.
"Not really," she says, and then her chin fits into the dip between her thumb and pointer finger. You get closer. "Think I'm thirsty for something else." There's nothing left of the distance between you, and you're not kissing her yet, not yet - but the tension is making a point of shuddering and cracking.
All that promise of something more.
"Don't let this go to your head, but." Xinyu reaches out a hand. You play into the script; you take it and bring her knuckles to your lips. Her wrist smells like the perfume you bought her a Christmas ago. You kiss there, too - for a split second. "I love my boyfriend. He's great." Your eyes dart to hers again - she's always watching, waiting for the attention to come back her way. "But sometimes girls just hit differently, right?"
"See anyone in particular?" you say, still nonchalant, while Xinyu hooks a fingertip onto the neckline of your shirt.
"Oh," says Xinyu. Her grin is devilish, dangerous: like she'd carve right through your throat. "That's cute of you. Like, you really wanna know, hm? I have a list."
"How long is it?" You raise an eyebrow, feign boredom. She likes the challenge.
"Depends on the night."
"But I'm at the top," you continue, unabashed - your usual brand of charming. "Right?"
Xinyu laughs; it's a delight, musical and precious. You'd listen to it for hours if you could.
"You already know, honey." Her nails skim your neck; they catch in your hair. The strands fall over the silver around her fingers. "Top of my list, and everyone else's, too."
"Nope." You lean even further over the bar, stealing the inches, taking them for your own. "Not tonight."
"I don't share." Xinyu taps your nose, prim, smirking. Her eyes are shining, brimming with energy - you can't look away from her. She's intoxicating. She's beautiful. "He wouldn't like that anyway."
"Oh, come on. That sounds like a 'him' problem. Right?"
There's a raucous chorus of laughter from across the floor: people coming in from the cold, wanting to see the show, see a gorgeous girl in next-to-nothing strut her stuff up onstage. You watch as Xinyu's eyelashes flutter, delighted - she's waiting for something to begin; this is a ritual that repeats, the fervour starting low and ending high.
And it starts, and it ends, always, with you looking at her.
"We'll see," sings Xinyu, and she twirls on her stool, one leg neatly hooked over the other. The bar erupts into thunderous applause - the lights dim, and Kazuha emerges onstage.
-
See, the club isn't normally about stripteases - sure, some girls dance - but this is still a place with bottle service and $18 cocktails, not one where dancers make a show of stripping out of their lingerie. And it's not like you care much for how people try to make themselves seem better than they are, really: if you wanna be trashy, fine. If you want to keep up appearances, put on some kind of show like you're worth a dime more than anyone else out there, great, fine, do that. This place may be the latter, but in the end, it's all the same; everything falls apart once the night sets in. Everything stays messy, no matter which box you paint yourself into.
That's a long preface to say: you're just not expecting her in the slightest.
To be honest, most nights aren't all that exciting - there are people to remember, drinks to mix up, tabs to close and mouths to kiss, sometimes - but mostly, there's not a lot worth mentioning. When people come into the bar - the people who are new, the people who think that this is an opportunity for the night to turn interesting - you look up, size them up, wonder who they're going home with, if you're interested at all. More often than not, it's none of the above.
"Hi," says the new face as she slides up to you on the stool. Well, okay, so this part is different.
Xinyu stepped out earlier - said she had someone else to find, said you'd probably like who she had in mind, but whatever. You'll see when you see. You're not picky. You were ready to dick around on your phone until your girlfriend figured out which plaything you were both in the mood for tonight - you're not opposed to another addition, not at all - but then-
Then the girl sits at the bar, leans on her elbows over the polished surface. Rakes her fingers through the wisps of dark hair at her forehead, pushes it back, and -
And meets your gaze dead on, and doesn't break it. Not even a bit.
Okay - so, she's blindingly, impossibly stunning. A textbook fucking ten.
"Hi," she says again, firmer, like she knows what you're thinking. "Do they serve anything here that isn't blue or tastes like putting your tongue to a nine-volt?"
It's such a shockingly mild opener that you immediately laugh at her. It just spills right out of you.
"Yeah," you say, leaning against the bar, mildly amused. You call over the bartender, order in duplicate - you're pretty sure that's how this works, you have to get the drink in front of her, not even mention it, just let her know that you're calling the shots here - and then fix her with another look, eyebrows quirked. "New in town?" you ask. Small talk. Sure.
"No," she replies, "just new in here." She tosses her silky red hair over her shoulder. Reveals the halter-neck of her blouse and the deepness of the dip. Her collarbones are out. You barely even notice. "Also," she continues, "this place is a fucking zoo."
There's no patience to her. She's harsh, no filter. Your drinks arrive, and she hardly reacts when they do.
"It's a bit crowded." You're trying somewhat to stay diplomatic. "It's the girl on stage," you offer, and you gesture vaguely towards Kazuha's figure: long legs and curves in all the right places, raven-black hair falling to her waist. Everyone looks at her like she's a gift sent down from heaven. She's dressed in something gold, sequin, and she knows that they're pretty much right.
"Well, I guess that explains it."
"Everyone's hoping she'll take off more clothes." You shrug your shoulders at your new companion. "But she never does, so I'm not quite sure why everyone thinks tonight will be the exception."
"No shit," the girl drawls, her tone entirely blasé - she's so painfully disaffected, the disinterested, entitled type; your heart skips a beat. "No offence to you, man, but I think most of the guys here are either idiots or creeps." The redhead wrinkles her nose. "Or both."
"A fair assessment, honestly," you muse. Sip your drink. It's bitter. She hasn't touched hers. "You think I'm any different?"
The corner of her mouth ticks up. "No," she says.
The room seems to tilt sideways, and everything gets fuzzy: it feels like you're supposed to be talking in code or perhaps just reading between lines - there's a whole secret conversation happening beneath this surface-level, meaningless banter. You're making contact, making plans. She knows where this is going. You're right there with her.
"The girl up there is cute," the redhead says after a while, thoughtful. "What's your deal with her? How come you haven't turned into one of the animals in the horde yet?"
It's an obvious line of questioning.
"She's nice," you admit, "but I've already got something good going with someone. No need to push my luck with anyone else."
At this, she raises an eyebrow, curious, cautious, wary. "Nice, how?"
"I mean, she's beautiful," you say, "very pretty." Easy things. Surface things. These things anyone could list off. "Cute voice."
"Nothing in particular, though, huh." Her eyes flick back to the performer onstage - Kazuha's walking the catwalk, kicking her heel out at the men closest to her; her skirt rides up, and everyone goes absolutely wild for it - and then returns her focus to you. "Not your type?"
You've been in this seat - or one just like it, at least - watching Kazuha's ass onstage for countless nights. You're well aware of her appeal, but you can't figure out a harmless way to say your mind is giving you three images of a palm-print burning across the same expanse of skin at any given moment.
You shrug, ambivalence feigned. "I guess not."
"It's funny." She props her chin on her palm, her nail polish glittering against her jawline. She's barely touched her drink. "The girl's normally such a doll, right? Kind of girlish. Could barely hold a conversation with a boy when I met her. And now she's all that. On stage."
"Hmm," you reply, like you can't imagine it. "Is that right?"
"Oh yeah," she tells you, half-smiling. Her lipstick leaves marks on the glass as she takes her first sip. "Years of ballet school will do that to a girl. Though maybe something about performing just became second nature."
"Explains the legs," you mutter, feeling the look she levels with you; dangerous. "And the gracefulness," you amend quickly. She raises an eyebrow at you, and you raise one right back; it's a power struggle, and when her fingers curl across her chin, you almost choke on nothing.
"Legs and grace," she says. "That's about it for her, huh?"
You nod, your voice quiet, soft.
"How do you know her?" you ask gently.
"Oh, honey," she croons. Her face is halfway to laughter, mirth perched like a threat in her voice. She puts a palm flat on the counter and slides it forward so her manicure scrapes at the varnish. Leans into you over the edge of the bar and presses her lips to your ear. "I'm fucking her."
Everything in your brain stops, and starts; everything crashes down around you; everything rearranges.
"You know," the girl continues like she's explaining something casual, something innocent, "she's real fun on her hands and knees. Can't get enough of me." She tilts her head, contemplative. "I suppose she is beautiful," she adds, almost thoughtfully, and then reaches out her fingers. Tucks a strand of hair behind your ear. "And graceful."
All you can picture are those gorgeous, creamy thighs marked up by nails like razors: bruises shaped like fingertips, angry scratches that would leave scars if pushed hard enough. Things for her to return to.
You swallow. You blink.
"She's very lovely," you say, careful, careful.
"Listen." The girl leans away, sweeps her red hair back over her shoulder, fixes you with her heavy-lidded eyes again. "We don't have to pretend we're in love or anything." Her voice is velvet, husky; the words catch at your eardrum and melt there, dripping down the bones of your skull like liquid seduction. "She's busy, clearly. So, I'm looking for a little company tonight, and I think I've found it."
"And your girlfriend?"
"Can't make it." She smiles, wolfish. "Which, if you don't mind me saying, is very lucky for you."
"Girlfriend, who you fuck into the mattress," you clarify. "She'd have no problem sharing?"
"With a pretty thing like you?" Her eyelashes flutter - the way they sweep low makes shadows across her cheeks, delicate. "No chance she'd object."
Your mouth twists to the side. "What's the catch?"
"No catch," she purrs. "Just: I'm going to go to the bathroom, and I think you could follow me there in five minutes, tops. Sound like a plan, handsome?"
Oh.
Okay. You think vaguely that Xinyu's probably got a hand in this, somehow. Doing this on purpose, leaving you here to fend for yourself - and it's a very Xinyu kind of move, really: setting you up with some stranger, letting her proposition you, and waiting for it to escalate past the point of return. Sending you right up to a pretty pair of vices, telling you to chew them down to size. Maybe if you do good - you already know how she wants you to perform - you'll get an actual reward later. Another girl for you to fuck, or maybe Xinyu herself. Or both. Your brain is spinning in circles. You really, really can't think straight with her breathing right onto your pulse.
"What, you've got something better to do than fuck two girls tonight? The girl seems to weigh something out in her mind; watches you through a side-long glance. "You really can't drop everything to play around for a little bit?"
So maybe it's not Xinyu's handiwork - this is a little too far-fetched, even for her - but you can't lie. When she goes ahead, drags her fingers on your shoulder as she glides by and doesn't bother looking back, the way your cock throbs makes it easy to decide that it doesn't matter.
-
You get lost a bit on the logistics. (That'll actually be a recurring theme.)
There's a pair of single-occupancy toilets in the back of the bar, ostensibly family washrooms; for mothers with children, wheelchairs, sloppy bathroom sex with god-blessedly gorgeous strangers, that sort of thing - but they're occupied. Both the handles spun up; red tags flipped up to indicate engagement, a motif, and symbolism in spades. Something heavy-handed and easily ignored.
"Maybe I should just get on my knees right here," she suggests eventually - like a joke, but she'd do it. You're pretty sure.
"Absolutely not," you counter, only a little bit scandalized. She grins and presses a palm flat to your abdomen.
"Just problem-solving." She's totally blasé. "Critical thinking."
"Careful with that," you warn her, sorta unreasonably given where your fingers are on the cut of her hips.
She pretends to think about it, fingers tapping thoughtfully on her lip, a comical exaggeration, and you just roll your eyes. You think about getting her name, maybe a number - you could just leave it at that, save her contact info under tall, great ass, (fuckable) lips and pray to hell it never comes up as recommended when someone else texts you.
Yeah, right. It's better to just bury yourself in this until it all dissolves - stick to the immediacy of it. Get your mouth on every part of her body and lick her clean, and then be gone before the sun rises. Right?
She pulls you down by your neck and slots your lips together again, slow, agonizing, her lips slipping over yours like they're made to be there. She kisses like it's an art form - something you can perfect, practice - and her tongue darts along the seam of your mouth like she wants to coax you open. There's the bite of cherry lipstick, sweet and candied; her fingertips into your belt loops, then yanks you toward her with her nose scrunched and a wicked smile.
"I can't believe you'd let me fuck you with your back against the wall like this." Her hips bump forward into yours - she's playing at bashful, coy and innocent. She's failing miserably. "What if someone sees?"
"I think you'd like that," you answer.
"Mmm," she agrees. She's tipping her head back, sliding her tongue across her upper lip, baring her neck to you. Her eyes flick back up, dragging like a blade. "Letting someone walk by, seeing you pushing into me, knowing I was about to make you lose control...yeah. Sounds hot, honestly."
"Shut up," you murmur, leaning closer.
"Make me," she kisses back, eyes flashing; oh, if you didn't feel it before, this is definitely how you know you'll see her again: you recognize the power in her stance, the firecracker-red blaze in her glare - it's like looking in a mirror, that domineering aggression. It's the promise of a rivalry; something you'll want to tame.
A wayward thought lingers: oh, hell - your mind is rapid on the recall, an endless, eager, addicting memory loop - how she kisses, too. The silky sweetness, the enthusiasm - the way her hands bury in your shirt and her pitched, muffled sounds of appreciation spill right into your throat. How she's such an obscene daydream, and the filthy, filthy things she tells you with her hands in your hair - the shock of that, her bold, pretty mouth telling you what she's fantasizing about right now and the fact that those fantasies line up with yours in nearly every sense. Her very presence is a contradiction, her mismatched gestures: tender kisses and wandering hands; how, for every inch given, she'll take five more.
You get your fingers under her skirt, pull her legs up to your waist; she wraps her palm over your cock; smiles against your lips, almost smitten but too arrogant for it: a villainous grin. You hitch one of her thighs over your hip, her panties damp against your slacks. Oh, how good she is - how perfect the feeling, how beautifully her teeth sink into the soft underside of your lower lip like you belong to her: a piece of property.
"That's it, sweetheart," you groan, kissing the apple of her cheek, letting the blush seep right under your tongue. Your hand hovers near her inner thigh. "God, you're so fucking sexy."
"Touch me," she hisses into the skin of your cheek.
"So demanding," you hum.
"Oh, shut the fuck up," she moans, arching into your chest - but her eyelashes flutter as your thumb ghosts across the fabric of her underwear, teasing. "Ah-ha..."
You'll justify it later, somehow: a cheat night, maybe - Xinyu's so used to getting other girls all to herself, you should have a few all to your own - and this one doesn't count as one, really; she belongs to someone else anyway, the raven-haired girl with the siren voice, long legs in silk stockings and pearls across her neck and high-heeled boots clicking across the pavement. And Kazuha doesn't even have to know: she's busy, probably; off with another guy or two or three. No reason to tell her what happens - you certainly won't complain. One orgasm and the redhead will be out of your hair.
There's a side door, some stairs. Nobody stops to ask who you are or where you're going, or even so much as bat an eye as you spill out into the alley - where people go to smoke or fight or vomit; she kisses you outside in the cold air, sliding her hands into your pockets and pushing up to the tips of her toes. There's a smile on her face like you're her best idea ever. It's cold out; she doesn't appear to care.
"God, I'm wet," she breathes, and you don't have to believe her.
"I bet I can help with that." Your jacket slides across your shoulders, off onto the concrete. You're leading her around a corner and against a brick wall. It's dark here. Dark enough for mistakes. Dark enough that you can press her spine to the bricks, slide your hands to her sides and lift her up, taste the lipstick across her jawline-
"Oh my god," comes a voice - softer, sweeter, a total siren lilt. "Please, fuck, that feels so-"
Both your heads swivel.
One streetlight illuminates Kazuha with her back pressed to the bricks and her hand curled tightly in all this black hair, panting, pleading: a perfect fucking masterpiece. She's got her eyes screwed shut, her lips parted; she's absolutely lost.
"Huh," says the redhead, dispassionate - and her fingers curl loosely over your forearm, drumming rhythmically. "Looks like she got distracted after all."
The hand between her legs is fucking her up and doing it fast, snapping sharp wrist motions accompanied by these rhythmic, throaty gasps from Kazuha as she holds onto the edge of a dumpster lid, clawing at metal. There's a muffled string of curses as the woman crouches, leaning forward - shoving her tongue inside. "Fu-uck," Kazuha manages, two distinct syllables - and her grip tightens around her waist, her spine. You catch the light shining off her gold earrings like a flash-warning, and you fall short of a breath.
“Xinyu?” you sputter. “What’re you-”
Xinyu extracts her hand from Kazuha’s cunt, licks her fingers clean and turns to you, not at all guilty - but she isn’t sorry, either. You blink hard.
“Oh, hey,” says Xinyu, cheery as anything. She brushes off her dress. “Didn’t think I’d find you here.”
“Neither did we,” you choke, dry-mouthed. “Are you…”
“We’re making use of some downtime,” offers Kazuha, smoothing down her hair, wiping off her smudged lipstick. The makeup is so precise that it doesn’t look smudged at all - or maybe that’s just how used she is to covering it up. “Is there a problem?”
“No, none-” Your mouth snaps shut as Xinyu meets your stare and gives you an impish little shrug, biting back a smile. She saunters over to where you stand, keeping a respectable distance.
“Look at this, babe," Xinyu says. She gestures to the girl you were making out two seconds ago, casual. "I found him first. Isn’t he handsome?”
“You’ve got weird taste,” replies the redhead, not unkindly, tilting her head back against the wall and exposing all that gorgeous skin. You can see her chest rise and fall in ragged breaths. Xinyu walks a hand up your torso, palms your collarbone with a suggestive smile - it's a little possessive, but then again, you realize you’ve forgotten to let go of the other girl's hand.
“You would be into him,” retorts Kazuha. She laughs softly. “Hi, Jen,” she adds, almost as an afterthought.
“Hey,” Yunjin says, wiggling her fingers, lazy. “Loved the performance."
"Shut the fuck up," snipes Kazuha, rolling her eyes, but she's flushed, halfway to an orgasm that's not gonna happen because everyone is apparently choosing now to puzzle this one out. "Could see you flirting with him the entire time, idiot."
"He's super fucking hot," says Yunjin. "Oh, speaking of which-" She tugs you closer by your wrist - you're stuck, standing still, trapped between three gorgeous women ready to argue over who saw who first.
“Wait,” you manage, breaking free. Yunjin huffs. Xinyu frowns, blinking. Kazuha leans back against the wall.
“We didn’t plan this or anything,” explains Kazuha. “Xinyu just likes what she sees sometimes.” There’s a practised ease in the way she says this - like this has all been rehearsed before between the two of them. "Or, well-" Kazuha lifts a shoulder, delicate, polished. "A lot of the time, I guess."
"Yeah," Xinyu says, not defensive. "So?"
"Well," you say, after a long moment - your mind working furiously to process, reconcile, synthesize - this scene where you're being pulled in six directions at once, trying to put this story together before any more pages flip.
"That's your girlfriend," you say to Yunjin, finally - and point a finger towards Kazuha.
"And yours," says Kazuha, one hand on Xinyu's hip. “Hi,” she adds.
"Yep," says Xinyu. "How about that."
She steps up close to you and bats those dark lashes. Behind her, Kazuha’s gaze catches your glance; it takes you a solid ten seconds to realize she’s trying to place where she’s seen you before - it clicks for her all at once, though it's a lot quicker for you - and then it all slots neatly into place, every cog and screw lining up in an easy motion.
“So.” Yunjin chews idly at the pad of her thumb. "What, you guys met once at the mall or something?"
"Yeah," you reply, realizing exactly how you and yours have come to fall for two of the same type. "We met at the mall."
If you'd like to imagine that this goes smoothly after that - it doesn't. Not really. It's more accurate to say that Yunjin looks at you, your blank stare, the panic - and the three girls just dissolve into laughter, giddy and conspiratorial like they've just pulled off the world's greatest coup.
"C'mon," says Yunjin. She's so good at reading social cues - like, oh, you being totally stunned-silent by the sheer amount of sexual energy suddenly coursing through this alleyway. "You said it yourself," Yunjin reminds you, gesturing at Kazuha, "beautiful, very pretty, nice legs." She brings her lips to your cheek. "You didn't lie about that."
"What?" says Kazuha.
Yunjin just smiles, brushes a lock of red hair behind her ear. "We have taste," she tells Kazuha, confident and poised - and then to you, hushed under her breath, "I'd watch you rail her," she murmurs. Her tongue darts out, pressing wet and warm into the shell of your ear. "Would you like that?"
"That's-" you start. You stop. Xinyu looks over at you, a devious flicker lighting up her eyes - oh, god; if that doesn't spell disaster, nothing does -and the grin she gives you is so downright evil you wonder why you ever dared dream you stood a chance. She looks back over at Kazuha, reaches out a hand to clasp gently at that impossible waist, pulling her in close.
"Sweetheart," Xinyu drawls, tracing a thumb over her jawline. "Doll," she continues, letting the nickname linger. She leans up, pecks a kiss against Kazuha's mouth - but her eyes don't leave yours for a second. She bites down gently on Kazuha's lower lip, tugging lightly at the skin before letting it snap back.
"You know I wouldn't ever get jealous over sharing something with you," Xinyu murmurs. She says it like a proclamation; something binding, solemn - a pact signed in ink, wax-sealed and pressed into the skin of Kazuha's collarbone. They're practically the same height. It makes your throat run dry. "You get me," she says.
Yunjin laughs, but not meanly. "It's cute how you pretend you aren't selfish," she says to Xinyu, rolling her eyes. Her lips curve upwards. "Tell me something I don't know." And then - you feel her fingertips trail delicately over your waistband, slipping her thumb below the hem of your jeans. "Hey, Kazuha?"
Kazuha drags her focus off Xinyu with visible effort, snapping back into the conversation.
"Wanna ride his face?"
Xinyu is grinning like a lunatic, gorgeous and predatory.
Kazuha gathers her hair off her neck. “He seems like the type who would want to eat pussy for hours."
"I wouldn't complain," you croak out - and Yunjin laughs. It’s genuine, unpracticed, the sort of thing that shakes her shoulders; it fills you up.
"Why don't you sit back down against that wall," she tells you, nudging at your ribs. Her touch feels electric. "Relax."
Oh. She says it like an order, and you realize that she knows full well what it'll do to you. She's still smiling, though it's sharper now, sharper, hungrier - like the glint of fangs that'll tear you apart. It's really no wonder you ended up exactly where she wanted you - but then you realize Kazuha's looking at you, and you realize that you're not entirely sure whose team you're on or if there even are any teams here. It's not like you can complain. The most you can manage is a grunt of acknowledgement, sitting down slowly, trying not to trip over your own feet and ruin everything.
"Good boy," Yunjin quips, quiet enough to feel private, intimate. You blink up at her, still holding her hand in your lap as you sit down, staring like she holds the key to all seven wonders of the world in her palm. "Kazuha," Yunjin calls over her shoulder, patting your arm. "Get over here. Come meet my new friend."
And that's sorta how you wind up in some kind of...what-the-fuck situation? Some otherworldly thing you shouldn't even hope to explain - some alternate dimension shit with two beautiful women pressing you back against some dirty-ass brick wall in the alley behind your usual haunt, a third one laughing hysterically at all four of you. You feel like the dumbest motherfucker alive, especially when Xinyu whispers something in Yunjin's ear, and it earns a resounding laugh, but mostly just because your girlfriend's hands are everywhere and Yunjin's sitting back and watching like it's prime-time television.
That - and also because Kazuha's decided she needs your face buried in her cunt ASAP, and frankly, you can't even muster up the energy to disagree.
-
First things first: the bar is packed - oh, wait, no: it's always packed. But especially so on the nights where you're trying to navigate this stupid situation, you got yourself into where three fucking goddesses have you on rotation, like clockwork.
You're collecting coats and closing tabs, doing your absolute best not to bring any more attention to how Kazuha's wobbling on both legs because she can't quite walk straight anymore.
Yunjin - your current distraction, clad in the most perfect shade of red lipstick, clinging onto your favourite girl like a lifeline - keeps leaning over to Xinyu, whispering frantically in her ear, and it's like the more they talk, the more amused Xinyu gets.
"I told Yunjin your apartment's the closest," Xinyu says to you, eventually, a small smirk forming on her face. "Think she wants you alone for a while. Sounds like she thinks you could really, uh-" She nods toward you, gesturing pointedly towards your belt. "Blow her back out, is how she phrased it."
Oh. Well, then. Yeah, no, you'd be perfectly okay with that.
When you glance back over at the rest of your - you don't have a word for it - entourage, all three pairs of eyes are locked on you, expectant and eager. Jesus fucking Christ. You make brief eye contact with Yunjin; her smile grows impossibly wider. This was meant to be a casual night, wasn't it? A nice outing at the lounge bar where you down drinks and enjoy the scenery - that was how it started, right? Then Yunjin had shown up, demanding all your attention like you owed it to her just for existing (and honestly? You kinda do). It'd been an excuse to look at Kazuha's tits, and then another to press your mouth all over Xinyu's - but the way your girlfriend's looking at you makes it abundantly clear that that ship's already sailed.
Kazuha raises a water bottle to her lips, looking cool and confident as ever (oh, you know better).
"Didn't mean to invite everyone over, but." Xinyu preens, adjusting the hem of her skirt and checking for signs of wear. She knows exactly what she's saying, exactly what you're thinking - there's an intentness to her words. "You wouldn't mind, right, baby?"
"Yeah, sure," you agree, glancing up at all of them with a nod. You've never moved faster in your life; your coat's over your arm, keys in your pocket, the whole ensemble. They're watching you, waiting patiently. Xinyu raises an eyebrow. "Lead the way?"
She beams. She turns, slips her purse strap over her shoulder. "Alright," she chirps - and the four of you take off into the night.
-
It's funny, you think: Xinyu's also had a weak spot for Kazuha, probably since the first time she saw her perform. (That's the part that sticks out in your brain.) But then again, maybe Kazuha knew about Xinyu too; they seem pretty damn cosy for this being their first interaction with each other, though you suppose you can't judge - you were practically aching for Yunjin within an hour of meeting her, weren't you?
But whatever. Your cock is in Yunjin's hand, and your mind is very much not present right now. That's the important thing.
By the time you finally unlocked your front door, all four of you stumbling in - everyone tipsy, aroused, dying to get their hands on someone's skin - Yunjin immediately glued herself to you, pushing your coat off your shoulders. She'd gotten your zipper undone in record time. It's not the first time, obviously: she's got this ghost of a grip around your cock already, a knowing stroke, this way of handling your arousal that feels almost proprietary in its control.
There's an island in the kitchen; you're washed up on its shore. Fingers spread across the marble sand as the edge presses against your lower back. "Drinks are in the—"
"You can skip the fanfare." Yunjin is stroking you, her other hand at the nape of your neck to pull you down, kiss her; your mouth meets hers, hot, messy, too hard. Pick up where you left off sort of thing. Some unheard conversation must have planned this, on the street or in the hallway or the elevator—they'd figured out some secret plot, who got what, how they would split up, and it starts here.
It's in your periphery that you see them cross, hand in hand, watching you come undone by the vixen in red. Xinyu is taking the lead, and you can see her mind working overtime to figure out what would drive you the most insane right now. She stops at the couch, centre-view, perching herself on the back of it to pull the other girl against her. Kazuha giggles in the high pitch, something that sounds too sweet to come from someone whose job it is to get men going—and maybe she does that on purpose: the look over her shoulder accompanies a feigned innocence.
Xinyu looks past her, gaze falling over Yunjin first: red dress, blood red lips, hair like a hearth-fire, and the hand moving on your cock in your unbuckled jeans. "A head start? How unfair." She rolls her eyes with all the mocking derision she can muster, but her smirk betrays her. She's pushing Kazuha by the shoulder, putting the dancer down on her knees. Even in the most compromising position possible, she looks immaculate: she sinks, legs together, ass perched on her heels. There's not a strand of hair out of place, and even in her lust, Xinyu strives to maintain the fact, so she takes care in the way she pulls Kazuha between her thighs. A gentle, fingertip hold, as she spreads her knees to frame her.
You watch with rapt attention; you can hardly look away. The whole thing is artfully posed.
Yunjin says your name, the first word you've heard from her, and you've only missed it a little. Your gaze moves to her. You expect another comment, snide, but her mouth parts, like the words have been stolen right out of it.
"You good?" You're trying to be a gentleman, if not an asshole—and it works, too; it spurs her back. She bites the corner of her lip and hums.
"Yeah, you know." A half-shrug accompanies her words as she lets you slide a strap from her shoulder. "Still waiting for you to blow my back out."
Oh. You laugh, hoarse. Yeah, that's—that's on the agenda, for sure.
It's just—the show, right across from you, has started.
Kazuha, in her performance, has Xinyu's skirt pushed up around her waist, face against her thigh, breath hot on her skin, fingers splayed over her knee to press her legs even wider. The most natural seduction; the effortless allure that laces every part of her. Her lips against skin are soft and pink, moving against the curve of the muscle, mouthing up higher. You know how that feels—travelling the vast expanse of Xinyu's long legs in search of something to bury your face in.
"She's in for a treat," Yunjin whispers.
"So am I," you return, placing a hand on Yunjin's now strapless shoulder and putting just enough weight into your hand that she knows she's going down.
"Can't promise I won't bite," she warns, in the tone that makes your throat dry, in the way you think she just might. But you've also had the image of Yunjin's head bobbing in your lap the whole cab ride home.
If there's a heaven, you'll find it in a mouth like this one: soft-lipped, warm and wet, tongue on you. You reach for the back of her neck, feel the silk of her hair under your palm as she sucks hard enough to make your hips jerk. Then there's the gentlest of grazes—her teeth on your shaft, and it makes your jaw tighten. She's all smirk and smoulder, eyes coming up to see what kind of face she's making you pull.
"Oops," she laughs.
"Fuck," Xinyu gasps, the loudest sound in the room. There's the slightest shift of Kazuha's shoulders, the way her back bows when her tongue drags from slit to clit; nose pushed up tight.
Xinyu, still leaning over the back of the couch, turns her gaze toward you, then, heavy, desperate, and dark: an intensity that hits right in the base of your stomach and twists like a dull knife.
Xinyu trades pleasured gasps for a coy remark. "Look at her go. Eats pussy like she'll starve to death without it." It's like she needs to comment on it, all casual, as if there weren't someone between her legs, making her thighs tense.
Yunjin pulls back just long enough to say, "Tell me about it." Then she goes deep enough that you see your cock hit the back of her throat. No warning. You cough out an obscenity. It's good, and it's better because of what you're looking at.
"Yeah?" Xinyu says. "Be pretty easy to cum like this, you know?" The implication hangs in the air, unaddressed.
Just like Yunjin before you, you agree. "Tell me about it."
Your girl, on the couch, her body twists again. Kazuha is making her work to keep the upper hand in all this, if there's such a thing, and she has to put conscious effort into keeping her words steady. Her focus is on you, on your face, on how your mouth opens every time Yunjin sinks her mouth to the hilt.
"Do you wanna cum like this?" Yunjin says to the underside of your dick, her hot breath against your length.
You look to Xinyu for a final answer: her head's back and her chin tilted high in a groan that fills the room, an arcing note in a rising song that starts between her thighs. Her hands grip the cushions.
"She's close," You say off-handedly. An easy observation. It doesn't answer her question.
"Could finish you so easily," Yunjin hums. You feel her words against the crown. She swirls her tongue, and you clench your fists.
"Faster than Kazuha?"
"Much faster." Yunjin grins like she's just thrown down a challenge. And you get why it works: competitive to a fault.
"No chance," Xinyu manages. There's sweat on the skin that shimmers with highlight, her chest heaving with every laboured breath, "absolutely—" Kazuha presses forward, and the rest comes out a curse. She grits out the words. "Impossible."
"Bet?" says Yunjin, her nails dug deep enough into your skin that it leaves little crescent moons.
Xinyu's head lifts. There's a smile on her face that's just shy of wicked, "I'd say winner takes all."
There are very few bets that Xinyu won't take and fewer stakes that she won't gamble with, but she's got confidence in Kazuha's ability, and time is a-ticking. Even with how wound up Yunjin's got you, watching them, it's still an even race at this point. Kazuha has a lot to prove: this is a test to see if her pretty lips and clever tongue can get her girl to the finish line faster than anyone else.
And, oh—she can taste it, can't she: Xinyu dripping wetness to her chin, her folds spread and cunt eager. The dancer's a performer of many skills: her fingers slide inside, her mouth locked in place and sucking hard until Xinyu is fucking her mouth with the back and forth of her hips. In a moment of indulgence, she presses Kazuha's face deeper, harder. It's rougher, meaner: she pushes her up tight enough that her air might just get cut off, if it weren't for the moans that slip from the singer's mouth. "God—" You think she says, and then nothing but sharp inhale and the jolt of her hips that has Kazuha's nails in the flesh of her inner thighs.
Yunjin's picking up the slack on you. Maybe to wipe the smirk from your girlfriend's face, or maybe she just really wants your cum down her throat. That's fine. You're not opposed.
Mouth briefly replaced by hand, strokes hard and tight, so she can talk and please. "Better cum in me soon. You'll lose." She winks. She's not wrong, and she sucks in her next breath like she knows it. That mouth on you again.
Let's be real. Let's not get it twisted. You win. You always win.
Xinyu will cum first. It's one of those facts in life. Death, taxes and Xinyu's climaxes.
It starts in her chest—a hitch that becomes a heavy rise and fall, a moan from deep in her throat. Her body follows it: every limb taut like strings in a bow. Tension: her head back to the sky and the arch in her back like a crescent. Her legs start to shake. It's there that you feel your blood thrumming, the adrenaline that starts that climb before your fall, and Yunjin takes her cue to speed things up on her end as Xinyu tumbles over on hers. Her thighs tense, tight, trembling.
"Oh—oh fuck—Kazuha." Xinyu moaning another woman's name always has a certain kind of kick to it, even more so with you down Yunjin's throat. She's never shy about this. Never timid. Always, unabashedly, the way it is with you and how she'll scream and cry for it, for the orgasm that wracks her like an electric current.
Kazuha has no interest in easing her down: the pads of her fingertips work her open, pumping inside, tongue flat to lap against the pulsing heat, riding her through each wave and crest, drawing them longer, higher. Xinyu's shaking with the overstimulation, hands in hair, but not pulling back.
"God. Fuck, Kazuha—" This time, there's the edge of desperation to it, so close to pleading for it to stop.
There's a moment when you lock your eyes. Xinyu looking through the strands of her dark hair that stick to her cheeks, and the sweat that glosses her forehead, the flush on her skin, her lipstick smeared in places. And that smile, her wicked grin in full bloom. Her breath coming in shallow heaving puffs. Kazuha is slowing. Stilling.
You've been teetering close to that razor's edge, the precipice of it, but there was only ever going to be one winner. Yunjin pulls her mouth from you and she has no idea just how close you were, just how cruel the denial, as she stands.
You say her name as a question: why would she ever fucking stop?
Her mouth to your ear, and you feel her smirking again, her teeth against the shell: "You lost," she murmurs.
"You lost," Xinyu echoes from across the room. She pushes Kazuha away, legs still unsteady, as she slides from the couch to her feet and straightens out the fabric of her dress. You watch as Kazuha touches the gloss of her lip and sucks it off her finger. Her smile is soft and warm when she gets to her feet. It's like a stage; everything posed: Xinyu and Kazuha, standing side-by-side and arms entwined.
"Second place," says Xinyu, looking you right in the eyes.
"I get it," you say. Your cock stands at full mast. "You don't need to remind me."
"Oh," she grins, leaning against the dancer, "I absolutely do." Her hand touches Kazuha's chin and lifts, kissing her deep, tongues dancing against one another's. When Xinyu's teeth drag along her bottom lip, you know she must be able to taste herself. "She's real good. Though I do wonder what her girlfriend is like," she whispers as she eyes Yunjin.
Kazuha speaks up. "She can definitely make a girl cum." She speaks with such nonchalance as if she's discussing the weather or what brand her shampoo is and not the way she's had Yunjin eating out of her cunt.
Kazuha is a professional; it's no surprise to hear she knows how to get a girl to see god, and it's no surprise that anyone she lays with has to be on top of their game. Xinyu knows, too. She grins, and she laughs, and she holds her waist like Kazuha's some sort of prize, and it's just so Xinyu, this display. "Lucky us." She touches a hand to the dancer's hip. She says to Yunjin, "We oughta try her out."
"You're going to leave him hanging?" says Yunjin, running a hand down your chest dangerously low before taking it back, a gentle press of lips on your jaw. "That's not very fair."
"He can help you out, right?" Xinyu offers, gesturing in your direction with one of those looks in her eyes. You know that one. "Make us cum." And her hand slips to the swell of Kazuha's breast, groping greedily. It's a demand that comes out as a suggestion.
Kazuha whispers something inaudible to Xinyu's ears and it must've been good because the woman hums, intrigued, the smile on her mouth turning wider and more mischievous by the second. They both take a step, both reach out, Kazuha takes your wrist and Xinyu takes Yunjin's. Wordlessly, they take you away from the kitchen and to the window: the massive wall of windows that line your apartment with the city behind.
"I want the world to see," Kazuha explains. "To wish they were you."
"Sounds a little cheesy," you quip.
"Sounds hot," Xinyu retorts as she places her hands on the glass. She bends forward so that the swell of her ass pushes out against the hem of her skirt, and against Yunjin, who is standing right behind her. "Don't you think, babe?" she teases Yunjin.
"Very," Yunjin says. She moves her fingers along the seams of Xinyu's body, finding their way underneath her top. You hear Xinyu breathe out through her mouth. Yunjin moves closer to Xinyu's ear and bites it. "But the only ones that'll actually get to touch you, to taste you... that'll be us, huh?" She moves her fingers along the waistband of her skirt.
Xinyu turns her head back at her, smiling. "They'll be able to see how well I can take it, too. You'll let them see, won't you?"
Kazuha perches in front of you, spreading her fingers out against the glass, lowering her shoulders, arching her spine and lifting her ass to the sky for your taking. In an instant, you're on your knees and appreciating her for everything she's worth. "You don't need to be a gentleman. Just go for it. You already had the courtesy earlier," she tells you as you move closer.
"Can't I take a moment to appreciate you first?" you reply.
"Do you have to?" Her laugh is half a moan, and she's pulling up her own dress. "Are you so infatuated by the sight of me? Because, believe me—" and her words are cut off as you sink your teeth into her cheeks, your fingertips pressing tight into the skin at her hip— "you've seen more than most get to."
You run a hand up the expanse of her thigh. "Savouring every moment," you hum into her skin.
"How romantic," she laughs. There are the smallest noises in the back of her throat that come with your touch as you caress her ass. Fingers into flesh, gentle pressure until you feel her roll against it. The perfect ass. The kind people would kill for.
You hear Xinyu gasp, the sharp breath: Yunjin's got her face pressed hard between Xinyu's spread thighs from behind. "Y'know—" your girl manages between moaning pants, "wasn't sure what to expect. This isn't how we usually do things." She's trying to hold the conversation together while Yunjin works to make a ruin of it. Xinyu braces herself against the glass. "Two girls at once is a pretty good score."
"I'd call it that," you hum in agreement as you pull Kazuha's delicate panties down her thighs.
"The two of you do this often?" Yunjin asks between licking Xinyu's dripping cunt and then slapping an ass cheek hard, enough to sting. It leaves an angry pink imprint on the flesh of her. Xinyu hisses, her fingers curling against the glass as she struggles to hold herself steady. Kazuha arches her spine to give you better access.
"See them all the time," Kazuha gently laughs, the breathiest moan breaking her sentence up, and she rocks herself back against you. "Taking someone home before my show even ends."
Xinyu's eyes open, and her vision is clear. She looks over her shoulder. Her hips are slow, riding the tongue that pushes deeper inside. Her voice is steady, and she's trying hard not to let Yunjin catch her completely, though the pressure on the glass betrays her. "Been keeping an eye on us, hm?"
You're dragging your tongue against Kazuha, circling around the wetness between her legs. You taste the sweet musk of her, and then you drag the flat of your tongue along the folds. She hums with a laugh that sounds a little breathier, more strained. Your tongue moves deeper, dipping into the parting of flesh, to taste the soft, velvet feel of her, the slick heat that comes with her arousal.
"You're not exactly subtle. Hard not to notice."
You push a little firmer, face into her ass, tasting the deepest parts of her and as she shifts on her knees, she lowers a hand to your hair and grabs a handful of it, keeping you where she needs you, fingers curled around the strands and the sting that follows. You hear the noise she makes, the way she shivers under your attention. It feels good.
"We have a fan," Xinyu jokes, but her laughter is cut off by a moan as Yunjin sucks harder on the soft folds between her legs. "Maybe two." There's the sound of skin hitting skin, and then a gasp. You know the sounds of Xinyu when her skin is slapped, or her flesh is bit.
Yunjin's hands roam her body freely. They're everywhere: touching, teasing. Her nails scratch and drag, and Xinyu groans when teeth meet her inner thigh again.
Kazuha is dripping against your chin now. Every lick sends another jolt up her spine, and every circle against her sensitive clit has her moaning. You squeeze her ass. She rocks forward. "Mhm..." Her lips part, and her jaw goes slack.
"What a pretty fucking mess," you hum against the wetness.
Xinyu takes Kazuha by the chin, pulling her into a kiss, and there's no way for anyone else to appreciate how beautiful they look against each other. Xinyu runs a hand up into Kazuha's hair, and her hips are still grinding, still pushing down onto Yunjin's mouth. "I'm gonna cum if she doesn't stop."
"Cum with me?" Kazuha says. It sounds desperate, almost needy in its demand: an urgency to share this. To do it together.
It doesn't sound like a bad idea at all.
"Not stopping," is the last thing Yunjin says as she continues to feast. You think she might have a point to prove, but if that means she wants to eat a pussy that good, then so be it. Your mouth works Kazuha faster: you spread the folds with your fingers and go to work on her clit. Your teeth catch the sensitive flesh, and she shakes with it, thighs threatening to tremble and tense, a strangled cry falling from her lips that she smothers by moaning it right into Xinyu's lips.
The taste of Kazuha on your tongue is something you'll never get tired of. Her sweet juice spills over, and when she arches, she cums harder, cries out louder until finally, her knees start to shake. That's how it starts, and with her orgasm comes Xinyu's too. There's a moment when the two are tangled together, when the sounds that fall out of them echo each other's. Their voices meet, their moans mix, and their tongues clash in their kiss, like they can't bear to keep any distance from one another. It's intimate, even amidst the other mouths on them. Even as Yunjin and you coax them through it. When it passes, the two cling onto each other, holding each other up, both of them trembling with the aftermath of a shared bliss.
Kazuha falls first: with a slow slump she sinks down to the floor, falling away from your hungry mouth and onto her hands and knees on the hardwood. She pants, heavy breaths, her head bowed, her hair in her eyes. There's a contented hum to the room as it all begins to settle down. Kazuha turns to you: there's that gorgeous smile, as she pushes back hair from her face. Her makeup is smudged. Her lipstick's a mess.
Xinyu follows after, but not without first stroking Yunjin's hair and kissing her, thanking her. Xinyu falls into Kazuha's embrace, the two of them holding each other up on the floor. Their heads are on one another's shoulders.
You lose your balance to a hard push. Your ass hitting the ground hard, sitting flat on the hardwood.
"Your turn." Yunjin grins, a hand pushing at the centre of your chest, keeping you from rising.
"You're going to do that right here?"
She grins at you. "Right now."
From here on out, it's just an inevitable, sordid decline into depravity. There is no message here, no moral, no meaning beyond the mindless, the reckless. There's nothing profound about the way Yunjin slips the other strap off her shoulder and pulls the material down to her waist to expose her braless chest. There's no wisdom in the way she moves into your lap, arms hooked over your shoulders.
No revelations come from how her bare pussy slides against the head of your cock. No matters of the world solved by the way you grope her tits in your palms. Nothing poetic about the sound that slips between her pretty red lips when you enter her cunt. This is just the way things are. This is barely a footnote on the night, not an epic climax. It's not a resolution or a denouement. Just another impending orgasm. You're just lucky you're at the centre of it all.
"Give us a show, won't you?" Xinyu murmurs.
Yunjin's got a smile on her lips that says, sure, sure, I can do that. She puts her hands on your chest, pinning you against the ground, her hips lifting and rolling as she slides you in and out of herself. "You think we should thank them? The people in the toilets?"
"Why's that?"
"Well, we'd have gone in there." Yunjin pushes her hips down hard onto you to punctuate her sentence. "We'd have fucked." She's taking control here: riding you in the centre of the hardwood floor. "You'd have cum." Another roll of the hips. "In me. On me." She gasps, moans. "That would have been that." It's all being said so nonchalantly. "But now, it's like this."
You laugh a little as you watch the woman ride you for all you're worth. "It's fitting," you say as you push yourself up from the floor, sitting face-to-face with the woman riding you. "Because you deserve so much more than a quickie on a dirty toilet." You wrap an arm around the small of her back. "And I'd much rather take my time with you." You buck your hips up into her, commandeering the rhythm as your pace starts to climb. You drive into her, pounding hard, as you bury your face between her breasts.
There are the smallest of noises that break free from Yunjin: the whines that get trapped behind her throat and the moans that slip between her teeth. She lets you handle her, and the only sound she makes is that soft whimpering and that sharp hiss when your fingers grip tight at her skin, and when her body slams down against your cock, you feel her tense and then shake around your shaft, squeezing and clamping down hard. She stifles her sounds.
"You good?" you whisper. She doesn't answer. At least, not at first. She gives herself a moment to catch her breath, as her nails drag across your shoulder blade.
She moans out a reply. "Oh yeah. So good. I'm so—" her words trail into a hiss of a breath.
You push her onto her back, pinning her to the ground as she laughs, arms above her head and eyes on yours, as you pick the pace back up again. "Show's still on," Xinyu says, somewhere on your peripheries.
"He fucks like a..." Kazuha whispers, unable to find the right words.
"I know," Xinyu laughs, before leaning in to kiss at Kazuha's jaw. "Doesn't he just?" The words are barely a whisper in her ear.
There's this shift in your periphery, Xinyu taking a place on the floor, her hand behind Kazuha's head as she spreads her legs again. It's rare you've found anyone who can keep up with Xinyu, but tonight's proven to be the exception. Kazuha's on all fours, leaning in for another taste. The sight has you groan.
Yunjin laughs at that, pulling your face back to hers, her legs wrapping around your hips, locking behind your back as she pulls you into her. "Don't get distracted now, honey," she says. Her fingertips trace along the muscles in your shoulders. Her lips curl up into a smile as her body shivers underneath yours, and you can feel it: that sweet clamping down of her pussy around your cock, and you know that she's close to coming again.
"Got an idea," you whisper.
"Wait, wait—" Yunjin claws at your back, holding you closer, tighter. "Just let me—" and you feel it. Her wet heat coating your length, pulsing. You roll her into it, feel the slick mess as her hips twist against the hardwood. She shakes, head thrown back, eyes fluttering shut, and lips parted. "There we go. Now, idea?"
"Come here." It's seamless, the way you move her around and behind Kazuha, positioning her face right against her girlfriend's ass. "Doesn't that look so good?"
"Beautiful," she says.
"Bet you eat that ass every chance you get, I know I would."
"Me too," Xinyu chimes.
"Yeah?" Yunjin says as she traces her hands along Kazuha's hips and curves, the lines that make her. She touches her thighs, and then she moves her fingertips to the cheeks of her ass. "Well." A kiss on the flesh of it. "You know. She does have such a pretty ass," she whispers.
"You both do," you reply as you mimic Yunjin's touches on her own ass.
She smiles into the skin, pressing more soft kisses along it. Her fingernails dig in gently as her mouth presses a little harder against it. Yunjin drags her nails over it, making marks. Yunjin moans softly, burying her mouth deeper between the cheeks. Kazuha arches with a moan of her own, rocking back. Yunjin sinks deeper, eating her girlfriend's ass like it was the last meal she'd have for days. The sounds are wet and hungry. Her moans are muffled as her mouth does its work. "God..." Yunjin groans into the flesh. Her hands roam up to Kazuha's sides, and she digs her fingers in and holds her, rocking the woman's hips against her face. It's like she can't get enough, and the taste must be so fucking intoxicating.
You're back inside Yunjin, the end of the train. She shivers again, moans again. Her nails drag up the small of Kazuha's back, marking the line of her spine with the gentle red trails. Her teeth scrape against Kazuha's skin, and she presses the pad of her tongue between her asscheeks again.
Yunjin's dress is still bunched at the waist, you bunch it and then hold it firm: it pulls tight across her toned stomach and gives you a handle, a grip to hold. You thrust into her, hard. She groans into Kazuha, and in turn, Kazuha gasps into Xinyu.
You hear Xinyu moaning, a note that arcs and echoes and then tapers off again. Kazuha is humming, soft and quiet, and Yunjin groans deeply. When the three of you all start to sync up, to fall into one steady beat, it feels right. It's everything falling together. Waves on the sand.
Xinyu is gasping; her head is back, and her throat is exposed, and her body is writhing with pleasure. She has her fingers buried in Kazuha's hair, clutching at it desperately, as she rocks back onto her tongue, onto her mouth, her hips bucking erratically. You're fucking Yunjin in slow and deep thrusts that have her moaning and shuddering, her fingers gripping hard into the dancer's thighs, and she's eating that ass with hunger, her own body responding to each motion of your hips in a ripple of a wave that runs up her spine, one after the next after the next.
This was never meant to last. There is no way.
You're on edge. Xinyu's on the precipice, and Kazuha is shaking.
There is no way, you say it again, and that's how your mind feels: unsteady, untethered, and it's in that haze that you slip your free hand to Yunjin's hip and guide it under her, have her press two fingers into the slickness that's so familiar, that she knows so well. You tell her. "Make your girlfriend cum." It's not an order. You've no authority here, in the mess that this has become, but she does, doesn't she: she's the only one who could get someone to sing for the world to see.
It's just seconds after when she slips the digits up inside that the woman is shaking, her back arching, and she's moaning in tandem with the way her hips roll back on you. Yunjin's fingers plunge deeper inside, and Kazuha shivers in delight. And then there's the smallest cry of a sound, and she's spilling wet onto the hand that keeps pushing her down. "You're so beautiful, Kazu," Yunjin murmurs, the words muffled by how she's buried her face between those cheeks, she's so damn close to her own climax. Kazuha is trembling, shaking. She moans out her release into Xinyu's wet cunt.
Thighs clamp hard on Kazuha's head. "Yes—" Xinyu cries out, as her hips rock upwards, bucking on Kazuha's mouth as she rides the orgasm hard, hands at her own breasts, groping greedily as her tongue drags her bottom lip under white, teeth bared: it's like a growl, almost, or a snarl, her eyes open wide, but staring right through everything.
And that's what pushes you over. You grab hard onto Yunjin's hip, the bunched fabric of her dress. Your fingernails drag against her flesh as you rut into her, hips thrusting again and again. She can't help the gasp, the sound, as your nails scrape deep into her thigh. She's so sensitive. The skin so soft and so receptive to touch. That noise turns into a moan. You know the sounds of her now. She doesn't need to tell you. You know. The pace of her breathing changes, and you hear the breathy little whimpers. When she gasps and when her cunt flutters, you can tell that she's close. And you know, when she cums because of the shuddering that runs up her body, the tensing of her muscles and that moaning that starts low and quiet before it grows, and then it explodes out of her in a sudden burst, like fireworks.
Xinyu's curling a finger. A beckon. You have a place to take, kneeling over her, and a finish that she demands.
"You know what to do, don't you?" she teases, a laugh on the tip of her tongue: that sharp and mischievous smirk, and the eyes that gleam in the light.
"I do."
She turns her gaze on the couple on the floor, the girls who've sunk onto one another. You can hear Yunjin laughing. Kazuha's fingers trail over her face, tracing the outline. "Go ahead," Xinyu says to you: not permission but expectation.
She presents her face as if it's a canvas and, yeah, sure, maybe you've done this more times than you can count, but you've still got your hand on your dick and the other on the back of Xinyu's neck, rubbing like it's the first time, and—
There it goes.
"God," Yunjin groans, "that's pretty."
Kazuha's contented hum agrees. They both reach a hand out to run their fingers across the mess of your cum, spreading it across the smooth expanse of skin, painting their art of Xinyu. There are no lines, no patterns, just the abstract swirl and the smearing that follows.
"Should take a photo," Kazuha suggests. "For posterity's sake."
"Too late," Yunjin mutters as she leans in to lick at the slick of white on the woman's cheek.
Soon, they're both at it, cleaning your girlfriend like she was the world's finest delicacy. And she basks in the attention. The centre of it. She's used to that kind of spotlight, though you don't think anyone shines as bright as her.
Yunjin takes a mouthful, opening to show the white on her tongue, and then her lips collide with Xinyu's. The cum is passed, tongue-to-tongue, a kiss shared. They share it with each other, a kiss that is truly sordid. You hear Kazuha's moan of excitement before you even realise what's happening: she joins in, making the kiss a trio. Three mouths passing your cum back and forth and the sound of their soft moans of delight.
It's hard to fathom that this is only the beginning. It's almost as difficult to comprehend just how far it's already gone, and the truth, as you see it, is that it doesn't need to make sense. Some nights are destined for excess. Nights like these. With a trio like this. You're not asking for any answers: all you're asking is that the four of you sink deeper, lose yourself to it.
The girls break the kiss, and Xinyu says, "You know, he has this walk-in shower. The big kind." You can hear the smirk in her tone like she knows just the kind of trouble she'll cause with her words.
"Yeah? I bet we could all fit in it," Kazuha hums, and there's that look of hers again, a little devious but mostly playful: a look of a girl who just wants to please everyone she comes into contact with. She can't seem to get enough, and she's just dying for a taste of more. Her hands slide along both women's waists, pulling them in a tighter embrace. Xinyu looks at you.
"You did always say—"
"I did."
"And, honestly, there's no better—"
"I know," you tell her, climbing to your feet and holding out a hand. "Come on."

hi! i just read your drabble with remus fixing the readers attitude and i was wondering if you could do the same with sirius? i really loved your other one and seen you were trying to take requests for sirius.
i hope you have a wonderful day!!
Thanks for requesting, hope you have a lovely day as well <3
cw: d/s dynamics, reader has hair troubles and uses products + tries running fingers through it so it's long enough for that
Sirius Black x fem!reader ♡ 991 words
Sirius can hear you fuming from outside the bathroom. Heavy breaths and drawers being shut too harshly and the occasional, frustrated grunt. If it wouldn’t be such a betrayal of you, he’d take a video so Remus can see what he’s like while he’s transforming during a full moon.
“What’s going on in there, gorgeous?” he asks from the bed.
Your reply is nearly a growl. “Nothing.”
“Mm. Yeah, sounds like nothing.” Sirius gets up, going to the bathroom and nudging the door open. He leans against the doorframe as you scowl at yourself in the mirror, wringing product into your hair like you half hope it just tears off. “What’s got you so wound up?”
“Nothing.”
He tuts. “Not any more convincing the second time. Try again.”
You’re pointedly not looking at him, but Sirius notices that your scowl intensifies. “My hair is being fucking unbearable.”
Sirius opens his mouth, but you cut him off.
“And I don’t want to hear that it always looks good, or that you think I look nice no matter what, or any of that bullshit, okay?”
“That’s unfortunate. I’m sorry, sweetness, but I’m not going to start lying to you. Your hair is perfect, and you do always look—”
Your eyes bore into your own reflection, sharp and wrathful. “Don’t.”
Sirius’ eyebrows lift. “I’m sorry, don’t? Don’t compliment my girlfriend, or don’t be honest?”
“Either. I know you’re full of shit, because it looks insane right now, but even if you have miraculously gone blind since this morning, Lily and Alice will be there, and they know what hair should look like when it’s not being so—so—”
“Alright.” Sirius is beginning to grow amused with you. You’re so ridiculous when you’re upset, brash and squinty-eyed and cute. “Save yourself the exertion of finishing that sentence gorgeous. Take a breath.”
“I don’t want to breathe!”
“And yet, we all have to anyway.”
“God, Sirius, fuck off!” You finally lock eyes with him in the mirror, positively fuming. “I knew you wouldn’t get it. I’m trying to look nice for your friends, and you’re making fun of me! If my hair would just—fucking—” You appear to give up on the product, your attention returning to your hair as you begin dragging your fingers through it mercilessly. “—do what I tell it to, maybe then I’d fucking breathe, but instead it’s basically unsalvageable, and—”
“Oi.” Sirius’ humor at the situation has vanished. By the time you think to look at him he has both your hands in his, restrained from doing further damage to yourself. “No. If you’re going to be like this about going to Frank and Alice’s, we won’t go. So is that it, or can you be good?”
Sirius uses the sharp tone he knows you’ll respond to, but really he isn’t angry. He only wants to give you pause. And oh, it’s so sweet to watch the brattiness leave your eyes. The terse pucker of your mouth softens to an almost imperceptible pout, your whole demeanor shifting in an instant.
He takes both your wrists in one hand. With the other, Sirius cups the side of your throat, fingers curled around your nape and thumb rubbing against your erratic pulse.
“I need an answer,” he says.
“Yes,” you say, and your voice is soft, like the sharp edge from a minute ago has been bitten off. “I can.”
“Good.” Sirius allows his tone to gentle some, though he keeps his firm grip on your wrists. “Then you have to relax, baby. Breathe.”
This time, you do as you’re told. It works as he knew it would, your shoulders drooping after the long exhale like the last of the fight has finally gone out of you.
“Thank you.” He touches his lips briefly to the center of your forehead, pretending not to notice how you sway towards him for more. “Now, do you still want to go to Frank and Alice’s tonight?”
You open your mouth, but this time it’s Sirius who stops you.
“Wait. Really think about it. Are you going to enjoy yourself, or are you going to spend the whole time feeling weird about your hair?”
You hesitate, rubbing your lips together. Sirius strokes his thumb down the line of your throat approvingly.
“I still think I want to go,” you say after a few moments.
“Okay.” Sirius nods. “Then you’re going to let me braid your hair for you. You’ll look just as lovely and perfect as you do now, but you won’t be able to mess with it any more. Does that sound alright to you?”
Your relief is palpable. You let out a breath, eyes growing suspiciously bright. “Yeah. That would be great, thank you.”
“Okay, come here.” Sirius releases your neck and wrists to wrap his arms around you. He presses his lips to your lovely, perfect hair while you curl your hands in his shirt as if to keep him from slipping away. Like Sirius would ever want to. “Shh. You’re fine, baby. Ease up.”
“I’m sorry for snapping at you,” you mumble against his front.
“Yeah, I’ll bet. You did it more than once, if I recall.”
“I’m sorry.”
“I know.” He laughs a little, hugging you tighter. “It’s okay. You get a hair insanity pass, just this once. Let’s have a good night, okay?”
You let out another sigh. Sirius rubs your back reflexively. “Yes, please.”
“M’kay. Let’s go.” He starts ushering you towards the bed, grabbing a couple of hair ties on his way out of the bathroom. “We’re done with the mirror for today. And no yelling at me while I do your hair, got it?”
You try on a coy smile; it’s small, but Sirius respects the effort. “I could never yell at you.”
“Uh huh. I may forgive, but I don’t forget that easily, sweetness. Try it again and we’ll be staying home to deal with that attitude of yours.”

If you want to, only if you want to
jinx/powder x female reader — 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞'𝐬⠀𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: when your ex girlfriend thought you'd move on with another woman, she tried to ruin your "date." (request from @Snow0Knight0 on ao3) warnings/themes: fluff and slight angst, ex lovers, valentines, amusement park date, mordern au, jealous!jinx, isha's sister!reader, bible terms ig as a metaphors, pov switch words: 9.7k notes: kinda ooc jinx cz i think she'll go on a rampage if she's jealous 🤷‍♀️
Tumblr media
You sit on a park bench, watching your little sister play with Jinx. Isha chases after Jinx in circles around the park while Jinx hides behind trees. You see Jinx pop her head out from behind a tree and make faces at your sister before ducking back behind the trunk. Isha giggles, then keeps running after her.
Your little sister can't wait to see Jinx again. After all, they had so much fun the last time they played together. But things aren't the same anymore because you and Jinx are no longer together. Though you can't say no to your little sister, so here you are.
Isha keeps on after Jinx, her legs running as fast as they can go. Jinx grins and sticks her tongue out as she runs backward. “You gotta keep up, kiddo!”
You pull out your phone to film your little sister. But right before you hit record, your phone starts ringing. It's your boss.
You look down at your phone screen, then back up at your little sister. She's still chasing after Jinx, giggling the whole time. You hesitate, then swipe to answer the call.
“Yeah, I'm free next week.”
Jinx stops running, suddenly curious about your conversation. She slows down and looks over your way, trying to hear what you're saying.
Isha looks confused, her face scrunched up in a frown. She glances up at Jinx, then back to you.
“Okay, I'll see you next Friday then.”
Next friday? As in on valentine's day? Why are you making plans with someone else on one of the biggest couples holidays there is?
Jinx narrows her eyes at you. She can see the phone up to your ear. Who are you talking to? why are you planning to do something with someone else on valentine's day?
Isha tugs at Jinx's hand, wanting to continue playing. But Jinx is too preoccupied to pay attention to your little sister right now.
Jinx turns to Isha, her attention still partly on you. She squints her eyes. “Hey, listen, kiddo.”
Isha cocks her head to the side, curious why Jinx isn't playing with her anymore.
Jinx lowers her voice to a hush and whispers so that only Isha can hear. “Do you know if your sister already has a girlfriend or something?”
Isha just shrugs. She doesn't know. She doesn't really care about her sister's love life, at least not as much as Jinx does. Though she remembers you and Jinx dating, and she knows you've broken up. But all that matters now is that she plays with her favorite people, like you and Jinx.
Jinx frowns, not happy with the lack of answer she's getting from your little sister.
She's not mad... at least, not right now. She's still not sure if the person you were talking to was a girl or not, or if you two really had something going on for you to make such plans. But the thought of you spending that day with anyone but her is bothering her.
To be clear, Jinx isn't like… jealous or anything. She's just curious. Yeah, just curious. To know why you're talking to someone on the phone and what they want with you, specifically on a day like that.
Still, Jinx tries to shrug it off. You do have your own life. You're not together anymore.
She doesn't care. She doesn't care if you spend a stupid holiday with someone. She doesn't even care that you two aren't together anymore. You have every right to make plans with someone else. She can't be mad... nope, definitely not mad at all.
She looks down at your sister, who's still standing there, staring up at her expectantly. She remembers that she's supposed to be playing with her.
Jinx tries to smile at your little sister. It's forced, though. She decides to put her focus back on the kid in front of her. She can't spend her time worrying or getting upset over you and your weird phone call. Nah, it's better to focus on the little one in front of her. Playing with her is much better than worrying about you. Definitely.
“So…” Jinx starts. “Still wanna play tag?”
A few days later, Jinx still can't shake the thought. She knows she shouldn't care... but that doesn't stop the thought from being there. That doesn't stop it from thinking about you with someone else.
She needs to know who you're seeing. She needs to know who you're going to spend Valentine's day with.
So, she keeps trying to get more information from your little sister, whenever and however she can.
One day, Jinx finally gets the information she's been looking for.
And now, she's standing outside a cafe. Jinx sees you through the window, talking to someone. She watches as you laugh at something this woman says. She can't see who it is. She can't hear whatever the conversation you're having. But she can see you laughing, and that... that makes her stomach churn.
She's seen you happy before. But there's just something about the way you're laughing with this woman. It's making her feel... something.
Wait.
Is she jealous?
No, that's just stupid. She just wants to know who you're talking with. Yup. That's all. She just wants to know who you're seeing. She's not jealous.
Jinx steps inside the cafe, the bell above the door jingling. Her eyes are locked on you, not even twitching an inch. She's so focused on you that she's not even paying attention to anything else. Not even the barista trying to ask her what she wants to order.
“Um... ma'am?” the barista tries again.
Jinx finally snaps out of it, turning her attention toward the barista. She realizes that she probably looked weird, just staring at you like that.
She blinks once, twice, before she answers. “Uh…” She looks back at you, and then back at the barista. “Oh... um... yeah. Can I get a…” Jinx looks at the menu. “A caramel mocha, or something…”
The barista nods, not minding Jinx's sudden zoning out. “Sure thing. And just so you know-” they continue, as they start preparing her order. “We have a discount for couples, especially since it's Valentine's today.”
Oh?
Jinx's eyes dart back to you, and she starts to put two and two together. Couples? Discount? Does that mean you and that woman are…
“Hahaha… yeah.” You force out a laugh, feeling awkward. Free food. Yeah, free food is good.
You don't have work today, thanks to your boss who's sitting in front of you.
Spending Valentine's day with your boss of all people and…
Ugh.
It's not a date. It's just a meeting. Just a meeting that your boss decided to have on valentine's day.
You're sitting across from your boss, forcing out a laugh as she talks about… about-
Wait. What was she talking about? you were too busy thinking about the fact that you were in a valentine's meeting with your boss that you didn't pay attention to the actual conversation.
“I must say,” your boss chimes in with a smile, taking a sip of her coffee. “I'm quite impressed with your recent work.”
You force a smile back. “Oh, um… thank you, ma'am.”
Your boss nods. “In fact-” your boss continues, but their voice starts to fade out. Why? Because…
Your attention suddenly drifts towards the door. The bell jingles as someone new walks in.
You're not sure why... but you feel the sudden urge to look at whoever has just walked in. Is it... is it a feeling? a weird feeling?
“Promotion”
What?
Did you just hear your boss say... promotion?
The noise in the cafe suddenly dies out. You're no longer listening to the sound of coffee being brewed, or the barista taking orders, or the hum of conversation.
Your focus is on the one word you just heard.
Promotion.
“Promotion?” you repeat. As in, a pay raise. As in, even more responsibilities. As in-
“Yes.” She puts her coffee down. “You've been an excellent employee. You're diligent, focused, and always go the extra mile.”
Just before she can get another word out, something happens. Just when everything seems to be going right with those precious words “promotion,” something just HAS to happen.
Accidents happen, right?
Except this one is a really big accident.
Because some idiot accidentally spilled a hot, caramel mocha with a mountain of whipped cream all over your boss's shirt.
“What the-” your boss's eyes widen when she sees the ruined blouse that she's wearing. “Who on earth-”
“Oh god. I'm so, so sorry.” The idiot who caused this whole mess apologizes, stepping closer to your boss.
Wait-
There's something about that voice...
Why does it sound so familiar?
Your head turns slowly toward the source of the voice.
Your ex.
Jinx.
JINX?!
What is she doing here?!
“Again, I'm so sorry.” Jinx repeats herself as she tries to fix the mess, grabbing some napkins from the table and using them to soak up the mess on your boss's shirt. “I didn't mean to-” Her head suddenly turns in your direction.
Why is she... why is she here? she already spent time with your little sister last week, what could she possibly want-
“Oh-” your boss interrupts, noticing the way Jinx looks at you, or the way you're looking at Jinx. “You two... know each other?”
Shit.
This is going to be awkward.
“Uh…” You look over at Jinx. She's still staring at you with that look on her face. Why does she look like that? Is she trying to tell you something? “We're just old friends.”
You cringe at the words. Friends isn't the right word to use, but you know you had to say something. You couldn't just say, “Oh yeah, she's my ex and I don't know what the hell she's doing here.” There's no way you're saying that in front of your boss.
Then you notice the way Jinx clenches her jaw, just subtly. You know that look on her face. The one where she's trying to hold something back. Not that she's going to explode or anything, it's just... the expression tells you that she has something to say.
And she looks pissed.
Why is she pissed? You didn't say anything wrong. You aren't together anymore, right? So shouldn't everything be fine?
But that doesn't matter now because you have bigger problems to deal with. Like how Jinx just spilled a freshly brewed, steaming hot coffee full of sugar and cream all over your boss's blouse.
“Yep.” Jinx affirms with a nod. “We're just old, good friends.”
Your boss looks between the two of you. Then, she takes a napkin and dabs some of the excess, creamy liquid off.
You stand there, waiting for the moment when your boss will explode. That she'll get extremely mad at the woman who has just ruined her blouse (which cost probably double of your salary) and demand compensation.
But-
Your boss just sighs.
“How... unfortunate.” She murmurs, looking down at her blouse.
That's it?
Why isn't she asking for compensation? or demanding an apology? or an explanation? or whatever else one would demand in this kind of situation?
“Don't worry about it.” Your boss reassures. “It was just an unfortunate accident.” She smiles at Jinx and then places the stained, crumpled up napkin onto the table. “I'm just... out of luck, because I don't have a spare blouse to change.”
Jinx didn't expect that.
She thought she'd get chewed out by your ‘girlfriend’ for ruining her expensive shirt, have to pay for it, or something similar. But instead, she just walked over to the shop across the street, picked out an expensive replacement for the ruined shirt, paid for it, and then went into the changing room to try it on.
Now, you and Jinx are just sitting next to each other on a white leather couch, close enough that your thighs almost brush, but far enough that you have enough space to not actually touch.
Her foot is tapping impatiently against the tiled floor. She's staring at the side of your head, trying to catch your attention. Your eyes are glued on a random painting on the wall across from the couch.
It's quiet and uncomfortable.
She remembers how many times in the past you and her would sit on a couch like this. In her place, in your place, it didn't matter.
She'd be snuggled up next to you, sitting on your lap, and you'd have an arm around her waist, or she'd place your hand on her thigh, or her hand on the back of your neck, or she would be playing with your hair.
But now, she's keeping both hands to herself, and it feels... wrong. Like something is missing.
“So…” Jinx drawls, the tapping of her foot stops. “You and your d-” She barely gets the word out before you interrupt her.
“What are you doing here-” you turn to face her, and the words just kind of blurt out of you, “-I mean, why are you-”
“What do you mean, what am I doing here? I was at the cafe.”
“Why were you in the cafe?”
“What?”
“Did you know that I was going to be there?”
“No,” she lies. “Why do you think I went to the cafe? Do you think I'm stalking you or something?”
“Are you?”
“What?!” Jinx throws her hands up in frustration. “Since when do I stalk people?”
You give her a look, one that says, ‘really?’
“Don't look at me like that! I've never stalked anyone in my life. Ever.” She huffs. “I was just... doing my own thing. I just happened to be there. In the same place. At the same time. That's all. A coincidence.” Jinx pauses, realizing her own words, how it sounds, and how she sounded. She then looks at you, eyes tracing over your face, before she suddenly looks away. “Anyway,” she says, “you and that woman... are you two a thing?” she asks, trying to change the topic.
“Why do you care?”
Why does she care?
She doesn't.
She shouldn't.
She can't care.
She has no right to care.
She left you. She pushed you away. She can't care anymore, because that would make her a hypocrite, to push you away but care for you at the same time.
She's supposed to be moving on. That's what she was supposed to do.
But why does she still feel like this?
Why does her heart ache? Why does it ache because she's sitting right next to you, and she can't do anything but keep her hands to herself? Why does it ache because your shoulders are only an inch away from touching? Why can't you just touch each other again? Why do just a few inches feel so... lonely?
She's supposed to be over you. It's been months.
Months!
She doesn't understand why she still feels this way. She tries to date other people, but none of them compare to you.
And that's not fair.
It's not fair because she keeps comparing everything about them to how you used to be.
She compares the color of their outfit to yours, she compares the way they walk to yours, she compares the sound of their voice to yours.
Her mind keeps finding little things in them that remind her of you.
How their hands feel too rough. How their smiles are too forced. How their eyes never lit up like yours did. How their hugs didn't feel right. How they never seemed to get her the way you did.
It's all wrong.
Because they're not you. No one could compare to you.
She tries to convince herself that she's over you, that she doesn't care, that she doesn't miss you. That the fact that you've found someone else shouldn't bother her at all, that she's totally fine with the fact that you've clearly given your attention to someone else. That she has no right to be jealous, no right to be like this.
So she repeats the same thing she's been telling herself for months.
“I don't care,” she lies to herself and lies to you. Her eyes darts to your hand, close enough for her to take if she reached out her own hand. “It doesn't bother me.”
“Of course it doesn't.” You scoff. “It has nothing to do with you.”
It has something to do with her.
Before she can say anything else, the changing room door opens, and the woman walks out wearing a new black and white blouse.
“Ah, much better.” The woman looks at herself, smoothing out the wrinkles on the fabric. She turns her attention to you. “What do you think?” She smiles. “Looks better, doesn't it?”
Jinx glares at her. That woman looks dumb in the stupid white and black blouse, which somehow manages to look cheaper than the previous blouse even though it probably cost more.
“Yeah.” You force yourself to look away from Jinx, standing up from the couch. “It looks good.”
Jinx grinds her teeth, standing up as well. The way you speak to her like that, it... annoys her. It makes her want to do something petty.
“Glad you think so,” she continues, adjusting the collar. “At least this is presentable. Unlike my previous blouse, which is now... coffee-stained.”
Jinx smirks at that. But her smirk quickly disappears when the woman turns to look at her.
“Speaking of that,” the woman says, her eyes locking onto Jinx. “I don't believe we've had a proper introduction. I'm Cassandra. Cassandra Kiramman. What's your name?”
“Uh…”
“Don't be shy,” she says, in a tone that could be perceived the wrong way, and it grates on Jinx's already thin temper. “I just thought we should greet each other properly, especially after the… earlier accident.”
“Jinx,” she replies. “Just Jinx.”
“Jinx,” the woman repeats. “Interesting name.”
“Better than your boring name,” Jinx mutters.
You elbow her side. Jinx holds back a grimace.
“What was that?” The woman's brow quirks.
“Nothing,” Jinx lies. “Just…” She looks down at the woman's designer heels. “I was just admiring your heels.”
“Oh.” The woman looks down at her heels as well, raising one foot up to show them off. “I got them at the same store I bought this outfit.”
Jinx snorts. “Cheap.”
The woman either doesn't hear what Jinx just said or she just ignores it. Instead, she holds out her hand, and Jinx stares down at it.
“It's nice to meet you, Jinx,” the woman says, still holding out her hand. “I hope we-”
You nudge Jinx. “Be nice,” you whisper.
Jinx scoffs but begrudgingly reaches out and grips the woman's hand. “Likewise.” She forces a smile onto her face.
The woman's hand feels too soft. Jinx could break her with her bare hands if she wants to. Which she is very much considering.
“I'm glad that's settled then.” She lets go of Jinx's hand, and Jinx wipes it on her pants, trying to rid that weird feeling off her skin. Everything about her just makes her sick. Even her name, Cassandra, makes her want to hurl.
The woman starts to walk towards the counter. “I'll just... go pay for this.”
“Sure.” You say, watching her walk away.
After your boss pays for her overpriced blouse at the register, she pulls you outside, away from Jinx, who stands several feet away. Jinx can see you talking to her, but she can't hear what you're saying.
“About that promotion…” your boss starts. “Your name is still in the running for consideration, however, we're still going to be discussing it before making any final decisions.”
“Since my name was mentioned?” you repeat, “so there are already some possible employees they're considering?”
“Yes,” she says, looking at you with a stern and serious face. “The only problem being…”
“...being?” you prompt.
“How do I put this?” Your boss clears her throat. “Your performance has been excellent, to say the least. You've always exceeded our expectations and more, and your skills have certainly improved over the years.”
Your confidence rises a bit. “But?”
“But,” your boss continues, “the decision isn't solely based on your performance.”
“How so?” you probe. “It's always based on performance, right?”
“Not in this case,” your boss explains. “In regard to the promotion, the decision is up to the board members.”
The board members? Up until this point, you had assumed that the decision was made by the managers, but you guess it makes sense, since you're dealing with a large company.
“You mean the... big guys? The ones who are…”
“Rich, wealthy, snobby?” Your boss completes your sentence for you. Smirk forms on her lips, as if the board annoys her as well.
“Ahh... and that could be bad…?”
Your boss pauses for a moment, then, “...yes.”
“Why?”
“Because the board is a bit finicky.” She sighs. “They're not one to make decisions easily, and they've always had this... habit of arguing over even the most trivial affairs.”
“So… it’s not looking good for me then?”
“Don't say that,” your boss says. “It's not looking terrible for you.”
“I see.” You chew the inside of your cheek. “Wait, does that mean I have to impress the board members?”
“Yes, that's exactly it.” Your boss agrees. “The members are picky, so to speak.”
Figures. Of course the rich assholes are picky bastards.
Your boss gives your shoulders a reassuring pat before returning her hand to her side. “Just-” she glances over your shoulder towards Jinx, “-try not to worry about it, alright? It's out of your control.”
Jinx continues to glare at the woman. Your boss leans in to whisper, “Your friend-” she nods at Jinx “-doesn't seem to like me very much.”
You follow her gaze.
Jinx notices the two of you staring and suddenly finds great interest in a nearby pigeon pecking at the ground.
“Yeah…” you reply, laughing nervously.
Your boss chuckles, turning to you again. “Anyway, I've got to run. But don't bother coming to work today. You have the day off so-” She gives you a smile and glances towards Jinx, “-spend the rest of your Valentine's day... with her.”
“Oh no, we're not-”
“Don't give me that.” She cuts you off. “I'm not naive, okay? I'm not stupid. I know you two are a thing. It's obvious.”
“Was.” You correct her.
Your boss doesn't seem to care much about the correction. She doesn't react at all. No surprise, no shock, no disappointment. “Was, is, who cares?”
Huh. What is this woman talking about? “Excuse me?”
Your boss ignores your confused look. “The point is, the two of you have something. Something that still hasn't faded.” She motions at Jinx, who's still busy watching a pigeon pick at some bread crumbs on the ground. “I'd better get going. Take the day off for yourself. And…” She gives you a knowing look. “Figure things out.”
With that, your boss turns around and waves to you before walking away. You watch her go, dumbfounded and confused. Is she right? Does Jinx still have feelings for you?
Jinx hates the way the woman pulls you outside, she hates the way the woman lays her hand on your shoulder, she hates the way the woman leans into you to whisper something that Jinx hates because she couldn't hear what the two of you were talking about. When the two of you catch her looking, she suddenly looks away.
She hears you laugh. It's the most beautiful sound she's ever heard, but it's the fact that you're laughing with someone else that pisses her off.
She focuses her attention on the bird pecking at the ground.
That's right.
Focus on the bird, not the sound of your laughter. Ignore the way the woman keeps her hand on your shoulder. Don't pay any attention to the way the two of you are talking.
Just focus on the bird. Nothing but the bird.
She could turn and leave right now if she wanted to. Nobody's forcing her to stay. She doesn't even know why she stuck around and followed you and the woman into this shop in the first place. But she wants to stay. She wants to stay because you're here. Because of you.
This is ridiculous.
It's none of her business. You two aren't together anymore. You're not her responsibility. You're not her issue to deal with. She's free to do whatever and whoever she wants.
She hears footsteps getting closer to her, and she turns her head to see you coming over. She looks around, noticing the woman is gone.
“Did you bid your farewells to your girlfriend yet?” she asks curtly.
“She's not my girlfriend,” you reply, walking to her side.
“Oh…” She turns back to the pigeon but finds it has flown away, leaving a few bread crumbs on the ground. She's left with nothing to focus her attention on aside from you. “Then what is she?”
It's a stupid question, but she asks it anyway. It's not like she's entitled to your intimate details.
“She's just my boss.”
She lets out a sigh. Is it a sigh of relief? Maybe.
“You know… you've been glaring at me the whole time,” you continue.
She snorts. “That's just because your face is irritating to look at, nothing else."
“Oh, I'm sure that's the only reason.”
No, it's not just the only reason.
“So what is it then, huh?” she asks, irritated. “Is she flirting with you?”
“No.”
“She laid her hand on your shoulder, didn't she?”
“Is that what you're worked up about? That she laid her hand on my shoulder?”
“Why did she do that anyways?”
“It's no big deal, she's just-”
Jinx interrupts you. “Why did she do it? what compelled her to touch you like that? It's not very appropriate for your boss to be physically affectionate towards you.”
“Since when were you a stickler for rules and appropriate conduct?”
“I'm not.”
“Then why are you so worked up about a simple touch?”
“Because it's not just a simple touch.”
“What? So now you're the authority on what a simple touch looks like?”
“I know a lust driven touch when I see one.”
“Lust driven? What are you, insane?”
“I'm not insane,” Jinx grumbles. “I know the difference between an innocent touch and a not-so-innocent touch.”
“Not-so-innocent? Seriously, Jinx. What are you—do you think my boss has a thing for me?”
“Don't be dense. It's obvious that she has the hots for you.”
“Jinx, she's married. Didn't you see that ring on her finger?”
That makes Jinx pause.
A ring?
Huh... she didn't notice it.
Had she really been so focused on you that she hadn't noticed?
“And married people can't want anyone else? you'd be pretty blind if you think married people can't have crushes, or feelings, or affairs... oh god, is she having an affair with you?”
“What?! No, she's not-” You facepalm. “What in the world would make you think that my boss, who's happily married by the way, would be cheating on her husband with me? That's fucking insane!” You pause, suddenly realizing something. “...wait a minute?”
“What?”
“Earlier today... the spilled drink. That was on purpose, wasn't it?!”
She remains silent.
“You're jealous,” you state.
“What? Jealous? That's bullshit.” Her face heats up. She's a terrible liar, isn't she?
“Then why are you so bothered by the fact that my boss-”
“Because you're mine!”
And there it is. This is what she wanted to hide. Her jealousy, her possessiveness, her attachment to you.
The words slip out before she can even think, and they're so loud and so clear that anyone within a few meters could've heard them. There was no plan, no filter, no hesitation. Just the words that spill out from her mouth before her brain could catch up.
What is she even saying? You're not hers. Why did she say that? She didn't mean it. She has to backtrack, change the subject, anything, just don't look like a blubbering idiot.
“I'm-” She turns away from you. “You're-” She covers her face with her hands and groans.
How pathetic.
Why did she just say that?!
She'll just laugh it off, right? Just say haha, kidding, no hard feelings, we can be friends... right?!
You rub your forehead and shake your head. “Jinx... even if my boss had any feelings for me, which she doesn't, but even if she did-”
The thought of you being with anyone else is driving Jinx completely crazy.
She can't bear to even imagine the thought of you being with someone else or your boss. She's already picturing it in her mind, the both of you together, laughing, smiling, happy, while you're wrapped around your boss like a dog. Your boss is so rich and successful and could provide you with everything you could ever want. And what could Jinx offer you?
Jinx turns to you, dropping her hand from her face. “Why WOULDN'T you be interested in her? She's got it all, for fuck's sake! She's pretty, she's nice, she's independent, she's successful… she's everything any guy or girl would want. What's not to like?”
“Because she's not you!”
“Pfft! Of course she's not me!” she scoffs, rolling her eyes. “She's got everything going for her. She's put together, mature, not a total mess-” her mind goes blank when she realizes what you'd said. “...wait. What did you say?”
“She's not you.”
Jinx opens her mouth to argue, then suddenly closes it. She looks away, biting her lip, refusing to look at whatever expression you have right now.
Why?
You shouldn't have said that. You shouldn't have said something like that.
Don't you realize this is only going to make things harder... and better?
Jinx isn't saying anything. You both are just... standing there in silence. People are passing by, couples holding hands, friends laughing and talking.
Your boss' words are still ringing in your ear. Figure things out.
You glance to the side, at the brick wall, and at the clock on the building. The second hand is ticking away. “We still have time,” you say, and you feel Jinx look at you.
“Time for what?”
“My sister isn't out of school yet, so…” You clear your throat. “I heard there's a new amusement park that just opened up nearby. Would you…”
Would you like to be my valentine? The words hang in your head, and your mouth refuses to say them. You just want to see if it's still there. If the connection you felt before is still present. If the feelings she had for you remain.
“Would you like to go with me?”
“...huh? Like, right now?”
“Er-” you sputter, “ONLY IF YOU WANT TO-” you add hastily. “I… I mean, if you're free-” You look down, shifting awkwardly. “If you're not-”
“I am!” she blurts out.
Okay, she agreed.
Wait, what?
Your head whips back up, eyes wide as you blink at her in silence.
“No, I-I mean, yes, I'm free,” Jinx clarifies.
“Are you sure?” you ask, “I only mean if you want-”
“Yes!” Jinx blurts out again, then clamps a hand over her mouth with a muttered ‘fuck’ when she realizes how eager she sounds.
You both just stand there awkwardly, staring at each other, before Jinx snaps herself out of her nervousness, eyes hardening as she puts on a confident smile. “Well,” she quips. “Lead the way.”
“Watch this.”
Jinx grips the fake pistol, a grin spread across her face. She lines up her shot, and-
BANG!
The target falls.
BANG!
Another falls.
BANG!
And another.
The park staff watch in shock at the girl's accuracy, while passersby stop to watch the impressive display of skill.
“Hell yeaaahh!” she crows, spinning the toy gun around her finger. “That's how it's done, baby!”
A group of teenagers watches her, chanting “MVP” and “QUEEN!”
Jinx shrugs, twirling the gun around. She hands the toy gun back to the staff and looks up above to choose a prize. “Hmmm... hmm... that one.” She points up to a giant stuffed pink shark, and the worker sighs.
“That-” they start before Jinx interrupts them.
“Yeah, I want the giant shark.”
The worker sighs heavier and takes the shark down, reluctantly handing it over to Jinx.
Giggling, she throws her prize towards you, and you awkwardly catch the gigantic stuffed animal under one arm.
“What-” you ask as she walks away. “Where are we going now?”
“Ooh! Let's go to that!” She points to the twisted rollercoaster as you struggle to keep pace with her.
The roller coaster looks like torture, and the line is so freaking long you could fall asleep while waiting.
“Can't we go on something... calmer?”
“I'm not so sure about this…” you hesitantly say as you're forced to sit next to Jinx in the roller coaster, her thigh touching yours since the seat is so damn small.
You try to fit the giant shark between you, and by some miracle, you manage to cram the stuffed toy in the already crowded space.
The staff comes to make sure everyone is buckled up and stops when they see the giant pink stuffed shark squished awkwardly between you two. “That uhhh... needs to be placed there.” They point over to a shelf where they take any extra luggage/belongings.
You and Jinx both turn around to look at the shelf, then back at the ride worker.
“Oh, right.” You nod and pick up the giant stuffed animal, handing it to the staff.
“Don't lose it-” Jinx warns them.
“Yeah, yeah, we won't,” the staff says, putting it on the shelf.
The bars come down and latch you in.
“Alright-” one of the staff says, “The ride is about to start!”
You look at Jinx, and she looks back at you. “Ready?” she asks, grinning.
“Uh, Ahahaha… sure.”
The staff member comes around one last time and checks to see if you're strapped in correctly. “All right-” they say. “Here we go-”
You gulp, swallowing nervously. You'd rather take on a bullet than ride this metal atrocity, but you're stuck with Jinx.
The ride starts moving, making the clicking sound as it's being lifted upwards to the very top of the coaster.
The ride climbs up to the top, and your nervousness only starts to increase as the rollercoaster continues to climb higher and higher. When it finally reaches the top, it suddenly stops moving, probably to give a few minutes for those to take pictures.
“Hey, look!” Jinx points to the view of the amusement park below the two of you. “We're so high up!”
“I just want to say…” you start, “that I ate the cake you put in the fridge last yea- AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH.”
The roller coaster suddenly drops, and the two of you are sent flying down at a high speed.
“OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD-” you scream over the roar of the coaster. Your screams are mixed in with the screams of everyone else.
“WOOOOOOO!” she yells, raising both of her arms in the air. “FUCK YEAAAHH!!”
The roller coaster does a series of sharp turns, drops, twists, and loops that completely mess with your perspective and gravity.
You feel like your stomach is somewhere in your thighs as the ride twists and turns around at breakneck speeds. “HOLY SHIT I CAN FEEL THE SKIN COMING OFF OF MY FACE AAAAAAAAAAAAAA.”
Jinx, on the other hand-
“IT'S SO FAST! FASTER FASTER FASTER!”
This is it. This is how you die.
…you somehow survived the roller coaster, but you're not so sure if your soul has left your body.
After the first roller coaster ride, you decided to take it easy on yourself and went on the carousel, but Jinx was having none of it and pulled you onto the next wild ride. And the next. And the next…
Eventually, you get your hands on the picture captured during the roller coaster.
Jinx laughs and stares at the picture before sticking it into her pocket. “You should see your face.” She giggles as you pass a few other people.
She's currently holding the giant shark stuffie in her arms as the two of you walk around, looking for something else to do.
You've done just about everything except for the log ride and there's no way you're going on that.
You're walking aimlessly through the park when you notice Jinx's pace starts to slow down, trailing behind you.
“Hey?” You turn around to look at her. “What's wrong?”
She's already looking up at the sky. “Do you want to try the ferris wheel?”
notes: i would 100% recommend listening to “come here” by kath bloom since this scene (and what happens afterwards) is inspired by the movie before sunrise
You sit in the ferris wheel, side by side. The ride starts moving, slowly bringing the two of you up higher and higher.
You stare out the window to your left, watching the world get farther and farther away as the cabin rises up.
The giant pink shark sits across from the two of you. You like this. Just you and her and the shark.
You feel her side pressed against yours, and you're unable to concentrate on anything besides that. She also looks unable to sit still because she's constantly shifting in her seat.
You sneak a glance at her and see her looking at the window as well. She notices you staring and turns her head to look at you. Suddenly, your eyes meet—you note the color of her irises. An artist might have trouble replicating them, but you think yours could do a pretty good job.
...and just like that, she looks away. Back to the window, finding something interesting to stare at on her side of the cabin.
It gives you a good opportunity to look your fill.
But then she looks back at you, and you look away. Your lips twitch into a faint smile before you quickly purse them together.
You feel her knee brush yours, just gently, like someone walking past you in a crowded room. Except this isn't an accident.
You turn your focus back outside the window, admiring the view. You see the top of the roller coaster you were just on, the carousel, and so many other places you've been today.
But your attention soon drifts to your right side and—oh. She's staring at you again.
Her eyes trace up the side of your head. Over your hair, around your ear…
…to your lips.
She wants to kiss you.
A fact that you notice quite easily.
You want to kiss her too.
You take a deep, trembling breath. You don't know if it's the height, or the cramped space, or the fact that you're alone with her right now—but it's starting to get hot in here.
You wait for a few more seconds, but then, unable to wait any longer, you turn to look at her-
Only to realize she already looked away before you could capture her gaze.
You look down at your lap, feeling the corner of your mouth twitching into a smile again, and... you don't bother stopping it, nor the way your tongue flicks out to wet your lower lip.
You're shaken out of your thoughts when the cabin jerks to a stop. It stopped at the very top. The highest point, where the view is the best.
You don't take time to look out the window. You can only focus on the woman sitting next to you.
Just one more look.
Just one more. That's all you want. You want to turn your head just one more time and kiss her right here in the cabin.
Just one more before you lean in and capture her lips with your own.
You don't know what pulls at your chest or your head, but suddenly you feel the urge to look back at her-
But she stares down at her lap, idly fiddling with her fingers, picking at the blue and pink nail polish. Her braids hide her face from your view. You want to reach out and tuck them behind her ear to see her face better... but you hesitate.
You wait for her to look at you, and when she does-
She looks up, and your eyes lock. She doesn't look away. Neither do you.
“Isha will love this.” Jinx chuckles, patting the pink shark sitting next to her.
You watch her from across the table. The diner around you is mostly empty, the staff working while waiting for the next customers to come in.
You look at the clock on the wall. Only an hour left before you have to pick up your little sister. Both of you decided to take a break from the amusement park and grab a bite to eat at the nearby diner.
Jinx sighs, drumming her fingers on the table, growing bored with the wait time. “I'm bored,” she whines, “Let's do something.”
You've been waiting for your order for a while. “Like what?”
She hums, thinking. “Like... roleplay.”
You shrug. Why not? You don't have anything else to do. “Alright, let's try it.”
She grins and leans forward, propping her chin on her hand. “Okay, you're going to pretend to call a friend, and I-” she points her finger at her chest, “-will answer. Sounds good?”
You're a bit confused, but you nod anyway. If you can humor her, maybe it'll pass the time. You lift your hand up and imitate holding a phone, with your thumb and pinky pointed upwards. “Ring ring.”
Jinx does the same and clears her throat before replying, “Heeellloo.”
The sound of her cheerful voice makes you crack a smile. “Hey.” You put on your serious but friendly tone, looking straight at her. “Is this... er-” You pause, your brain working to come up with a random name. “...is this Rebecca?”
“Heyyy yes it is, this is Becca.” Jinx tilts her head to the side. “How are you?”
You have to suppress a laugh. She really sounds like another person. “Yeah, I'm doing good. I was just calling to catch up. How's life been?”
“Oh, the usual. Work, sleep, rinse, and repeat,” she says with a sigh. “What about you?”
“Well…” You look down at the table, pretending to think of something, then look up and meet her eyes once again. “I met my ex.”
Jinx's (or rather, Rebecca's) eyes go wide, pretending to be shocked. “Your ex? Like, Jinx, your ex girlfriend? When did this happen?”
“Just today. I was having a meeting with my boss, and, well she… she kind of accidentally spilled a drink on her.”
Jinx's face scrunches up into an 'O' shape. “She spilled a drink on your boss?” she repeats. “What the hell? Why would she do that?”
“I think she's jealous.”
Jinx smirks. “So... what did you do? Did you two end up talking?”
“Yeah, we did,” you reply, watching her face. “She's still the same. Same eyes, same lips, same tattoos, same long braids of blue hair... beautiful as she always is.”
Jinx's expression softens. She listens to you intently, smiling.
You hesitate before continuing. “I still... love it.”
You stare down at the table and lay one of your hands on the surface.
“I like it when she looks at me,” you say, your fingers tracing the wood. “I like to feel her eyes on me when I look away.” Your eyes return to hers.
Jinx lets her hand rest on the table, her fingers only a few inches away from your own. The gap between your fingers is not close enough to touch, but it still causes your heart rate to pick up.
You look at her slender digits, tracing the faint veins on the back of her hand.
Her hand moves a bit, as if she were about to reach out and touch yours, but then she changes her mind. “Are you going to get back together?”
You contemplate her words, and then a snort of laughter escapes your lips. “We haven't really talked about it yet,” you answer.
There's a pregnant pause, the two of you looking into each other's eyes in silence.
You break the silence with a cough and return your hand back down to the table. You mimic hanging up the phone, signaling that the conversation is over. She does the same, coughing awkwardly.
“Your turn,” you say, “you call your friend.”
“Okay, okay.” She raises her hand, mimicking holding a phone once more. “Brrrring brrrringggg.”
You play along and answer in a deep voice. “Sup, dude? What's up?”
She giggles at your tone. “Hey, how ya been?”
“Doin' just fine, ya know. Livin' the dream. You?”
“I'm doing just great,” she responds. “No, scratch that. I'm rapturous. Wanna know why?”
“And why, might I ask?”
“I met someone.”
“Who?”
“My ex.”
“Oh wow.”
“And the best part is,” she adds, looking at you. “She's here with me,” she continues. “Have you heard the saying that we're all our own angels and demons?”
You nod.
She hums and grins. “Well, turns out that's true. Because I'm looking at an angel right in front of me.”
That's so cheesy... and it's working. “How did you meet?” you ask, changing the topic.
“Oh yeah, about that…” She clears her throat and sits back. “Well,” she starts, drumming her fingers on the table. “I was just curious about who your... uh, I mean her…” She wrinkles her nose. “Valentine's date was. So I got info on her little sister.”
“My sis—I mean, her little sister?”
“Yep, that little squirt was actually pretty cooperative.” Jinx chuckles. “But I just saw her with another woman in a cafe. Turned out it was just her boss.”
You laugh at that, shaking your head.
She grins, satisfied that she was able to make you laugh.
The two of you sit in silence again, waiting for the waiter to bring your orders.
“Anyway, I know we have a lot to talk about,” she continues, her eyes finding yours. “Everything that went down between us. About our relationship. But…” her voice trails off, and then she seems to have found her voice again. “But do… do you think… do you think we would ever be back together?”
Your hand moves from the table to her hand, taking it into yours. The gesture is so natural you don't even notice it until you see the way her fingers wrap around yours.
You run your thumb over her knuckles, her hand fitting in yours like it always did and always will. “I think... if you both talk things out... and if you're both willing to try again…”
She brings your hands to her mouth, placing kisses on your knuckles, on the bumps of your skin, on the veins that run beneath. She looks back up at you, her eyes searching for something in your face. Whatever she was looking for, she finds it and smiles.
“Are you willing to try again?”
You don't reply.
What would it be like to be with her again? Despite everything, despite how things were, there were still moments you remember in a warm light.
The times you and she held hands and just walked down the street. The times you two would sit in a park and people, watch and joke about anyone that walked past.
The times you got stranded in the rain with her and had to share an umbrella, giggling as you squeezed together under it.
The times you two went on a road trip together and laughed and sang along to the radio the whole way.
The times you two spent a night at a hotel together, and neither one of you got any sleep.
The times she would laugh at a stupid joke or just do something adorable, and all the air of the room would just leave you and your voice would get caught in your throat.
The times you saw her in a t-shirt and shorts and no makeup, and she's still the most beautiful in the world.
The times you felt your heart leap when you saw her name pop up on your phone.
The times spent talking about the most boring things and the most boring things were suddenly the most interesting things in the world.
The times you went to the movies and she'd get bored and try to make out with you.
The times she fell asleep with her head on your shoulder, and you'd stay as still, not moving a muscle, and when she asked why you weren't moving, you said “Nothing,” but it was because you could feel her breathing against your neck, and it was so calming that you just wanted to stay like that forever.
The times the sun would hit her face and light up her features and her hair would be golden and the freckles on the bridge of her nose would stand out.
The times she would say something ridiculous like “Oh god, my back is killing me... it sure would be a shame if a beautiful and caring woman just, oh, I don't know, gave me a back massage,” and then look at you with complete innocence.
The times she went with you to meet your grandmother, who immediately took a liking to her and pulled you aside later on to tell you she's a keeper.
The times she would talk about her childhood, and you would listen, and you thought “I wish I could take your pain away.”
The times you stood in the kitchen and cooked together, and it was a mess of flour and batter and sugar and eggs everywhere because you two kept throwing things at each other and laughing and kissing and stealing sips of cookie batter.
The times you woke up next to her and she was looking at you and her eyes were still bleary and the only thought you could think of was “I love her even more than I did last night.”
The times she would get upset about the smallest thing and leave, only to come back hours later with tired eyes and a tight smile. The times you would try to comfort her and she would shrug you off and tell you she's fine, even when she's clearly not.
The times she'd play with your little sister, pretending to be a princess alongside her. The times she'd be a regal queen who let her little princess sit atop her throne. The times she'd be an evil witch who terrorized your little sister. The times she'd be an adventurer who'd save your little sister.
The times she'd look at you when she thought you didn't notice. The times she'd lie and say she wasn't staring at you.
The times she would come to your place unannounced, just to show you something that reminded her of you.
The times you would just exist. No need for words. No need for actions. Just both of you in the same space, comfortable.
There used to be so much love between you two.
The nicknames you had for each other. The inside jokes that no one else knew about. The looks you would give each other from across the room.
You knew the taste of her lips better than your own name. You knew where to kiss, to taste, to worship. Her moles, her scars, her tattoo, her hips, her waist, her neck, her shoulders, her wrist, and it would always lead back to her lips. “All roads lead to Rome,” they say, and Rome was her lips.
You'd trace every line and curve on her body with your tongue the way a blind man would read Braille. You worshipped her like the messiah. She was the promised land to your Moses, her body the Holy of Holies, parting her legs like the Red Sea as you knelt at her altar, and drown in her like an Israelite drinking from Marah.
Being with her was like sitting beside a fire on a cold night. It was cozy, and sometimes you would feel her hand on your back or her arm around your shoulders.
She had a habit of touching you, you could never keep yourself away from each other.
Even now, the way she holds your hand and kisses your hand, it reminds you of the days when all the two of you did was touch and kiss.
But that was then, and this is now.
Instead of spending every minute with each other, you're now sitting across from each other at an empty table in a quiet diner with the ghost of your past relationship hanging over your heads.
You remember the cold moments.
The times you two would fight, scream, yell, sometimes cry.
The times she was distant and cold. The times you wished you could just understand her thoughts.
The times you both would argue and shout at each other and afterwards lay in your bed and just stare at the empty space between the both of you.
The times she'd lock herself in the bathroom and you'd stand outside, your heart breaking with every word you heard her utter.
The times you would wake up in the middle of the night and see her on the edge of the bed, facing away from you, her body trembling, and every single time you would reach for her, and every single time she would pull away.
The times she'd hold you close and you'd hug her back and you'd feel her body shake from stifled sobs, and you would tell her it was okay, even though you didn't know if you were trying to make it okay for her or yourself because nothing was okay.
The times you felt so lost and alone and you just wanted her to hold you, tell you you were going to be fine, but instead she'd give you a blank look and just stare at you, unable to understand how you were feeling because how could she when she was so disconnected from herself and the world around her?
The times you wondered if she still loved you as much as you loved her, because even when you thought she didn't, she would catch you off guard and surprise you with a joke or a smile or a laugh or just the way she'd take your breath away with the simplest things, and you'd feel her love in those little moments and you'd cherish them because those moments were fleeting.
You'd hang onto them desperately, hoping to preserve them, hoping to relive them in your mind over and over because you wanted to feel her love again.
But the feeling would fade so fast, because soon enough she'd be in those moods again, and you'd feel yourself slipping from her grasp more and more every day, and you just wanted to hold on in vain, hold on and hope it will get better, it had to get better, it would get better.
And for the first time in your life, you were tired.
Not of her, not ever of her. You never get tired of her, you never want to be without her. But at that moment, you were tired.
You were tired of trying to understand her, tired of trying to make everything okay, tired of feeling like your love for her wasn't reciprocated.
Just tired.
You never wanted to break up with her. You never wanted to leave her. You just wanted everything to stop. You just wanted a pause.
She was tired too, maybe more tired than you.
When you said, “I'm tired,” she took it personally. She thought you were tired of her, you were tired of the relationship, and you were tired of being with her.
So she left. She broke up with you.
You never expected her to do that.
You never expected her to walk away from you, just like that.
You thought that she would understand, you thought that she would know what you meant when you said you were tired. You thought she would know that you were tired of being the only one trying to make things work, tired of feeling like you're the only one who cares, tired of feeling like the only one who's making sacrifices.
She didn’t hear the words you were actually saying, the words, “I need a break, just a short break.”
She heard different words, words that said, “I'm done, I don't want to do this anymore.”
And she responded accordingly.
She ended things before you could end them on your own terms.
She broke up with you all because you said the wrong words and she heard the wrong words.
But the past is the past, and you can't stay there forever. Right now, you're here with her.
You feel her hand squeeze yours, and you look up to meet her eyes.
They're the same eyes you lost yourself in so many times before, the same eyes that used to be filled with love, affection, passion, and desire. All of a sudden, the past is so close. The feeling comes rushing back, and you can't let it go.
You realize that your boss was right. Something is still there. Something that hasn't faded away.
Was or is, it's still there.
Are you willing to try again?
You know it wouldn't be easy. You still remember every painful, difficult moment of your relationship. You still remember every stupid fight, every misunderstanding, every mistake, and every argument.
But those warm moments that bring up an ache in your chest when you remember them, they were real. You know they were real.
Maybe this time, it will work out. Maybe this time, both of you will learn from your mistakes. Maybe this time, you'll make a better effort to understand her. Maybe this time, you'll try harder to listen to her and make sure she understands that you don't mean anything differently than what you're saying.
Maybe this time, everything will be different.
It will be different.
Maybe if things work out, you won't lose her a second time.
Just maybe… you can get things right this time.
It took you both long enough to realize that neither of you really wanted it to end, right? and now here you are, with her, and she's looking at you with those same beautiful eyes, and-
Maybe this time, things can change for the better.
You squeeze her hand back, and it's an answer without saying anything.
She sees it, and she smiles. She turns your hand and brings it again to her lips, pressing a kiss on your palm.
This time, she doesn't let your hand go.
You don't let go of her hand either.

Tumblr media
lando norris loved a good brat. he loved when a girl thought she could snap at him. it was cute, and it got him hard. cute things with pouty lips and fluttering eyelashes, crossed arms that framed perfect, fat tits. drew him in and made his jeans tight.
nothing like fucking a brat back into submission.
so after being put through the ringer in silverstone, lando couldn't help himself. especially when you said his favourite word in a venomous tone, "no."
you ended up in his driver's room with his hands up the back of your t-shirt and he near slammed the door with his foot. he was moving you like a puppet. you weren't going anywhere too far, too fast. he kissed the nape of your neck and loved the feeling of his hands on your soft skin.
"oh. you thought you were getting away from me?" he teased as he rubbed the front of his jeans up against your behind, "tell me no and then expect to skitter off. you wouldn't get far and you know that. should've chased you through the garage and fucked that pretty pussy of yours over my car. rub those tits of your raw up against it." he was panting already, turned on by how deep his want was for you.
"lando." you whined and you ended up over the couch. your cheek almost pressed against the wall behind it. your knees on the cushion and your round behind on display for him. you crumbled so easily, it was cute.
lando licked his lips and admired you. the shape of you, the feel of you, how hot your skin got when you were turned on. made his cock throb in his jeans. he didn't take him the victory this weekend, but he was going to take your pussy. which was almost as good as a trophy.
"get undressed or else you'll be leaving for the car in a lot less clothes." he remarked, "but i'd be you love that, huh? bare tits out across the paddock, covered in my bite marks. because you're just a little slut aren't you?"he noticed you covering your face with your hands, "don't hide your face from me. i'd hate to have to tie you up." he then grabbed your roughly and got your ass on the cushion your legs spread open as you forced yourself to hold onto the couch.
you looked beautiful.
"strip or it becomes shreds." lando said as he grasped his cock through his jeans, "and don't hide your face, got it?" he was dominating, putting you in your place. and it made you heavily aroused. and he knew it. he knew that you were a sick puppy that way.
you quickly got out of all of your clothes, you were left naked. lando preferred when you were naked, even in cases where you could be easily caught. he was certain that if someone caught sight of your bare tits while you rode him, you'd cum on the spot. dirty girl.
lando kept most of his clothes on, didn't need his round ass to be on the cover of most major sports papers tomorrow. he crowded in your space and braced his hands over the top of the couch, on either side of your head. he watched you swallow and he grinned like a wolf. "pretty little thing." he said, "see, things are much easier when you drop the bratty-act."
"i thought you loved a challenge." you remarked as you looked at him with a cute little wink. it only pulled lando in and he stroked his cock at the sight of your cute figure. you really were something else. naked on the couch, your breasts and cunt on full display for him. and yet, you remain defiant.
"i do, but i also love girls who know when to shut up and take it." he sank his cock into you. you let out a sweet moan and he chuckled lowly, "let's play a game: don't get caught. think you can do that? keep that whore mouth quiet while i fuck you?" he pushed to the base and shakily exhaled. he felt a stir in his gut while he admired you.
you felt hot all over a she started to move against you. your body didn't feel like your own, you were under lando's spell as he fucked you. you tensed up around him as you kept your legs open for him. there was something that ran hot through you. it wasn't fair, he made you a panting dog for him.
"a real bitch in heat, huh?" he chuckled lowly as he continued to move against you. he pressed into you harder, "pretty eye though, gotta keep them interested somehow. or else they'll hit and leave." he continued to move against you. his thrusts made you see stars. who allowed for him to be this hot. this painfully good at making you moan.
you let out a whine and he gave you a firm pat on the cheek, he'd never harm you. he'd just make his presence known, after all he was your boyfriend, your love, your dominant in your life. he was rough, but not abusive. he made you squirm and enjoyed the feeling of you under him. on the stupid couch they gave him, fucking tomorrow out of you.
there was something about him. the way he carried himself, the way he moved through your space. he wasn't like others, he was like no man you had been with before. he made you pant. whine and more of all, cum at the feeling of his cock inside of you. he could work with what he had and it often made you moaning with heated pleasure.
he looked at you, he kept his eyes on you as he fucked up into you. he held onto the couch while he thrusted up into you. he kept his expressions under control while your face displayed all the feelings of pleasure he was giving you. he loved how you looked, he made you feel heaven, why not enjoy it too?
"please, lando. fuck, i love you."
"and i love you, baby. look at you, you take my cock like a champ. can you believe it? i guess you put your money where your mouth is, silly little slut." he licked his lips as he continued to move against you. his thrusts were heavy and they left a certain cloudiness in his brain as he fucked the daylights out of you. you were a slut for him and he loved that, he loved that he could bend, twist and fuck you however he saw fit. it was a good feeling in his soul as he rutted against you.
he knew that you loved him, you loved him as deep as veins ran deep in the body. he knew you were needy for him, you yearned for his heavy cock inside of you. his breathing was heavy in your ear as eh moved against you, the feel was overwhelming and you tried so hard to keep quiet. you didn't want to be the front page tomorrow because your boyfriend decided to fuck you until you saw stars.
"that's it, baby." he said as he thrusted up into you, "you feel amazing. all mine, who let you feel this good. you got a pussy most would die for." his pace continued, "i need you beautiful, always in my heart as i ruin your fucking pussy." his words were heated as he fucked you. there was little time for tenderness as he ravaged you.
you kept your tone quiet as you held onto him, letting him fuck your sweet cunt. it was hard to keep quiet with the pace so quick and so erotic that it left your core quivering for him. you knew you weren't going to last much longer.
"gonna behave for me now, be a good girl for me?" he asked as he held your throat. he didn't choke you, he held you so you'd keep your eyes on him. as he continued to rut against you, the feeling was hot, the weight of his hand against you as he made your core flutter around him.
you nodded dumbly, not much else to say as he fucked you with a heated want. you reached out for him and clung to his t-shirt while you climaxed around his cock. you squeezed around him, eyes shut and held onto him tightly. he continued to fuck you, he fucked you through you orgasm and only grinned at the blissed out expression you had. you looked like a total dream, even in the heat of climax. he kissed your neck and fucked you roughly.
he was in total control and he felt the fire in his core as he moved against you. your wetness stained the front of his jeans, which only spurred him on to make you a panting, whiny mess. he eventually shut you up with a heated kiss and kept you pinned to the couch by your shoulders.
he was going to fuck the brattiness out of you, and with a few more heavy strokes of his hips he finished inside of you. he watched your eyes flutter close for a moment before you loosely held onto him. it was erotic to see you in a state of total bliss as he came. you two fit together beautifully and lando couldn't help but kiss your neck as he moved against you slower and let himself feel your entire body.
hands trailed across your sides before he held you hips tightly and pulled out of your cunt. he looked at you and exhaled deeply against your neck, "beautiful." he said with much more tenderness.
he looked at his soft cock and then to you. he then asked as he admired your messy expression. you were all blissed out from him. he patted your thigh and said, "now be a good girl and get dressed. you can louder in the hotel." <3

hi! i have a little bitch blurb request - piastri sis is on painkillers after a minor surgery or after being at the dentist and while carlos is taking care of her she says things she never would’ve DARED to say out loud - even about the fact she’s been infatuated with him longer than she’ll ever admit 😋
this was so fun write 😭😭 i love my little bitches so much
"Carloooooos," you slur through a mouth full of gauze, reaching blindly for him as the nurse wheels you out. "I missed you. Did you miss me? I was asleep but I missed you."
"Yes, mi amor," he tries not to laugh as he helps you into the car. "I missed you too."
"Your face is so nice," you pat his cheek clumsily. "Like... so symmetrical. Are you real? Maybe I'm dreaming."
He buckles you in carefully. "I'm real."
"Prove it," you demand, then immediately start giggling. "My mouth feels like clouds. Do clouds feel things, Carlos? Are clouds sad?"
"I don't think so-"
"We should ask Lando," you say seriously. "He knows about clouds. He's British. It rains there."
Carlos bites his lip to keep from laughing as he starts driving. You're staring at him with wide, unfocused eyes.
"Your hair is so fluffy," you reach for him, missing completely. "Like a lion. My lion. Did you know lions mate for life? Are we lions, Carlos?"
"Eyes on the road, eyes on the road," he mutters to himself in Spanish, fighting a smile.
"Oh! Spanish!" you perk up. "I know Spanish! Te... te something. What's the word? The love word?"
"Te amo?"
"YES!" you try to clap but miss your hands together. "Te amo! I love you SO much. Like... like more than pizza. And I really love pizza. I think I love you since the first time I called you a stupid little bitch."
"I'm honored-"
"But shhhh," you stage whisper. "Don't tell Carlos. He'll get a big head. His head's already perfect though. How is it so perfect?"
"Mi amor, I am Carlos."
You gasp dramatically. "No way! Since when?"
"Since birth, I think."
"Birth!" you suddenly look devastated. "I wasn't there for your birth! I missed baby Carlos! He was probably so cute. With tiny baby abs."
He can't hold back his laugh this time. "I don't think I had abs as a baby."
"Lies," you poke his arm, missing twice. "You came out of the womb with a six-pack. And perfect hair. And that smile that makes me want to take off my-"
"Okay!" he interrupts quickly. "How about some water?"
"Water is boring," you pout. "You're not boring though. You're exciting. Like racing. Vroom vroom."
He hands you a water bottle anyway, helping you drink without choking.
"My hero," you sigh dreamily. "Saving me from death by water. We should get married."
He nearly swerves. "What?"
"Yeah! Right now! Call Lando, he can be the flower girl. Oscar can be the ring bear."
"Ring bearer?"
"No, ring BEAR. He has to dress as a bear. It's traditional."
"Since when?"
"Since right now. I just decided. I'm very smart, Carlos. The doctor said so."
"Did he?"
"Mhmm. He said..." you scrunch your face in concentration. "Actually I don't remember. But I'm sure he did. Because I am smart. Smart enough to date you. HA! Take that, Instagram models!"
"What Instagram models?"
"The ones that slide into your DMs," you try to look stern but your numb face isn't cooperating. "I see them. With their perfect teeth. Well guess what? I have no teeth now! I win!"
"You still have teeth, mi amor. Just minus the wisdom ones."
"Wisdom..." you gasp. "Carlos! Am I going to be stupid now?"
"No-"
"Quick! Ask me something smart!"
"Like what?"
"Like... what's your favorite color?"
"That's not really a test of wisdom-"
"BLUE!" you shout triumphantly. "See? Still smart! And your butt looks really good in blue. Like REALLY good. Science fact. I used to stare at your butt when I pretended to hate you."
Finally, you reach home. Carlos helps you out of the car as you ramble about his "science butt" and whether lions know about race cars.
"Time for rest," he says, laying you on the bed.
"No," you grab his shirt. "Stay. Protect me from the tooth fairy. She's a thief, Carlos. A professional thief."
"I'll protect you," he promises, sliding in beside you.
"My hero," you mumble, already drifting off. "Hey Carlos?"
"Yes?"
"If we have babies, will they have wisdom teeth? Or will they be born wise? Like little wise lions...Or wise little little bitches."
You fall asleep before he can answer, drooling slightly through the gauze.
And Carlos can only smile.

YES YES YES IVE NOTICED THIS BEFORE!!!! the reverse is also true: chara calls asgore dad, but toriel is just toriel. both have a parent theyre closest with
that does make me think tho like. frisk seems to me like he would either call both parents just by their name or call both mom and dad. not pick one and leave the other. hes shown to be more considerate of the residents of xtale in later timelines than chara, whos grown much more disillusioned, hateful, and violent. chara has way fewer problems treating people more poorly because in his mind the end justifies the means and as long as the goal hes working toward is noble (which. it at first is but later twists into something completely different. but i think he still considers it noble and the "best outcome for everyone" and thats ahat matters most to him) any horrible thing he does is completely fine. hes playing on the same battlefield as xgaster, after all, so he has to adopt his same tactics. frisk, though also shown to have grown more hateful and violent and disillusioned, shows a lot more hesitation in using and/or hurting the residents of xtale.
anyway, all that to say that he just doesnt rlly strike me as the type of guy to just exclude one parent, especially if it hurts/saddens them. like i could be completely wrong and hes just got a preference contrasting charas bc siblings, but. idk.
bc chara not calling toriel mom immediately makes me think of timeline III. the timeline right after the one where chara got the father figure he yearned for. it was the first timeline to use underswap as a base instead of the original timeline. in the episode, we see both frisk and chara sitting in toriels lap. frisk is chatting happily with her, but chara looks livid
i wonder if chara refuses to call toriel mom because she hasnt been the mother he knew for so, so long. she doesn't even know it. and swap toriel taking asgores role and some if not all of his personality (depending on the interpretation), it probably felt to chara like she was trying to replace asgore. a shoddy stand in, smiling at him almost in mockery as he has to mourn the death of his father alone because noone except for him, frisk, xgaster, and alphys even know he died. for all the other residents of xtale, that series of events never happened.
toriel asks him whats wrong and he has to fight the urge to snap at her, to yell at her that she knows. she knows and shes mocking him. that shell never be him. that she shouldnt have ever dared to do something like this so close to his death. and he only barely holds that all in because he knows shes not doing this on purpose. she doesnt know what happened. she didnt ask to be remade in someone else's image. she doesn't even know she has been
the whole situation fuels his hatred of xgaster more, because now more than ever he feels like hes being toyed with. first it was just the world. just seeing what changed. and then one of the most precious things to him was taken from him by the very man who promised him the world, a marionette facsimile dangling by strings from the claws chara couldve sworn he didnt always have.
and again, its not toriels fault. but it leaves such a strong impression on him that she forever changes in his eyes. shes no longer the loving mother. shes someone who doesnt belong, someone he doesnt recognize as his own. she changed from who she was when she WAS his mom, all the way back in timelines I and II, and the mother he loved is dead. gone. erased. irreplaceable. and no matter what xtoriel does, chara can never bring himself to call her mom again
and, on the contrary, he latches to asgore hard. because hes also changed, hes not exactly as he remembers him, but hes back. hes alive. hes still asgore and hes still his father and he missed him so much. he doesnt care about the smaller details, nothing matters except the fact that his father is back. that the man who gave him hope and support and company when he felt so crushingly lonely under the weight of losing his world is back, and that means chara isnt alone anymore. hes not hopeless. and he holds to that tiny hope as tight as he can

#i could probably try to analyze why frisk prefers toriel based on like?? associated traits. idfk#i havent slept i just spent like 6 or 7 hrs cleaning my fridge 😭😭 im exhausted#but god do i love talking abt xtale#this is actually the first time ive really considered how mocking timeline III was. esp to chara#having his father killed and knowing he wont ever come back bc the man who controls his world has decided he must become someone else#and taunted by someone who has been made his replacement without even knowing it. someone who has his mannerisms and his quirks#and his interests but its *not* him and the whole world just feels so completely wrong. everything he knew is gone and yet...#its also right in front of him#and then its all torn away yet again as xgaster overwrites faster than ever#chara doesnt even get an adjustment period or anything. he has not grown to know this world like his own#and he doesn't even get a chance#yknow. during the xevent i doubt chara had much uhh. positive interacion with cross. but.#i wonder if his sneering and teasing and complaining just grinds to a halt sometimes because something cross said sounds so much like his#(charas) life. he will never admit it#but he sees a bit of himself in cross. or a lot of himself actually. theyre pretty similar in several ways#and though he would usually be quick to make fun of cross mo matter what he says#he just cant help but remember the anger and the despair and the fear that gripped him back then and he just.#lets cross be for a while. he has no words to offer. not that hed know how even if he did. he cant offer much in terms of physical comfort#not that he ever would#but he recognizes that pain and for a brief moment remembers who the enemy is and what hes fighting for#what awaits him if he wins. why he HAS TO win#and for a second he remembers wishing for someone who could take away his suffering even temporarily#and in a quet and solemn moment he just. lets cross weep over the world forever gone#and pretends he himself isnt thinking of a home he year s for just as bad#anyway i almsot passed out like six times wroting this. im genuinely starting to see shit lmao#hopefully the tags wont get deleted.....#finking#rebog

"The doctor and his devoted assistant."♡
Warnings: I decided to make it so that the character in our story is not the main character in the game, two different personalities. Our character is a girl. This is done for convenience. Yandere. Partial Stockholm syndrome. Obscenity towards a young female employee. Sexual pressure. Slight compulsion. Excitement games. A vibrator. A weak current through the body. Binding. The girl's submission to the doctor. Murder and brutality. The orange text is Harley's words, the pink text is your words. English is not my native language, I'm sorry for any mistakes!
Volume : 8,2k. Sorry, I overdid it.
Have fun reading! 🐉
"Everything has to be perfect" - these were the words that were on your mind when you laid out Dr. Sawyer's supplies on the table, finally receiving the position of assistant to such an honorable person in the company. In your eyes, he was the epitome of rigor and perfection. His calm and tired voice could overshadow any fears that you might not be hired for this service, but also make you wake up and jump from his harsh cold tone and rare shouts at employees who did not satisfy his desires.
But you tried so hard to become the perfect employee by literally learning the doctor's daily routine. You were willing to do anything to stay in such a prestigious position at a toy manufacturing company. And unfortunately, Harley Sawyer knew about your fanaticism to prove to your family that you are an independent person.
The first few days were hard. It's even too hard.. Your legs are shaking from constantly wearing heels and running around the floors, but I would like to deliver certain reports to different employees. It annoyed you deep down that you looked like a dog on wheels even to yourself, forced to run back and forth just to earn the impossible trust from the owner. But despite the Doctor's indifferent gaze and the sometimes sarcastic smiles of other employees, you just smiled, brushing off all the problems.
What a pity you didn't see how Sawyer liked that you could barely walk on your already aching legs. It might have given him the motivation to finally give you a reward, but he was giving himself the opportunity to delay the moment to the peak of its accomplishment.
And unfortunately or fortunately, the "Peak Height" was reached after almost half a year of your working shift with this young man. You're tired of being the secretary who was always described in jokes and anecdotes as the boss's girlfriend, who was ready to do anything for his pleasure, descending even into the very niche of debauchery. The way you tried to talk to Harley at first, always saying respectfully, "Dr. Sawyer, please, could we talk a little bit about my work shift and my responsibilities?" You always got a calculating look from under the glasses of the man who filled out the next document for you and his slight manic smile that made you twitch a little. "No, Assistant, I don't have time for idle conversations right now if they have nothing to do with the idea of improving the company. And judging by your words and body gestures, you clearly don't want to talk about the happiness of the company, so please take this document and don't try to disappear for more than 10 minutes. It's just another building. You'll get there fast. "he said it over and over again, while you were biting your tongue in your mouth, so as not to spit out the poison. He never even addressed you by your first name, although it was always written on the badge like all employees, but he took it for a special occasion.
And now your patience was over, you were ready to start swearing if you even needed to turn on your artistry, because it's not just your boss who can pretend to be a second person. But as soon as you crossed the threshold of his office, closing the door behind you, the man seemed to be already ready for this meeting and, without looking up, ordered you to close the door in his usual empty manner. You did so, as if out of habit, which was reflected on the doctor's lips with a smile and a relaxed look, to which you flinched slightly, not knowing how you spoiled him with your obedience. As soon as you got closer to the main figure in this room, your body was pressed against the table, your hips were painfully pressed against the table, and your hands were twisted behind your back, while the second man's hand covered your mouth, preventing you from uttering a whisper or a cry of pleading for help, judging by your frightened darting eyes, while you were trapped between the table and the tall figure. "Don't shout or deny it, the more resistance you put up, the more brute force I'll have to use on you, Assistant. " he was talking and you couldn't understand - your legs were shaking so much from fear because of the current situation or from the discharge of excitement, being in such a precarious position that it was not clear whether you would really quit tomorrow, or remain an obedient assistant.. Unfortunately, you both knew the answer from his calm smile and your heavy breathing when the dialogue began, although no one let you out of the man's strange embrace.
And now you have achieved your goal. Isn't that right? Now you didn't have to run around the floors, rub your feet to the knees and whine to your friends about the idiot boss. No, you didn't even have to wear heels now, because they would only get in the way while you were sitting on the elder's hip, watching his well-honed hand movements with a listless look as he drew another monst- ...toy for children. The silhouette of a huge purple-colored cat loomed while you read its name, sometimes disinterestedly swinging its legs dangling from the edge of the chair. Your hips, waist, and hair suffered the most. When someone infuriated the doctor by bringing him to a white knee, you could only stifle a groan, which the elder never liked, while his hands squeezed your hips, moving to your waist and hugging tightly, as if the child did not want to let go of his favorite plush toy at night, which could ensure his safety in the dark. The most unexpected thing was when the sadist's elegant hands found their way to your chest, squeezing it, and someone else's lips stopped right in front of your ear, red with embarrassment and shame." What do you think is worse for those employees who can't even complete their assignments properly, like being fired or getting a lot of work, much more than usual? " he asked you, massaging your chest through the fabric of your shirt, forbidding you to wear any additional fabric in his office in the form of a jacket, vest or dressing gown, " I think it would be better for them to do more work than usual" you say, swallowing, having already learned that your words could often acquire weight and leave employees with torn nerves and a nervous breakdown, or, which was rare, because the company needed employees, to throw out completely poorly working people from the company.
But the worst part, as you convinced yourself, even though you were grinning nervously alone, was remembering the events that happened to you when you unknowingly flirted with some of the staff, leaving Dr. Harley in a bad mood. What can you say? He was furious. You could get used to the compressions that left bruises on your body later. But you couldn't get used to the man's jealousy when you re-entered his office, kicking off your heels and closing the door, as per the usual ritual. You wouldn't have entered this room knowing what was waiting for you. In less than 15 minutes, you were standing on trembling legs, leaning your torso on the table, not completely, but only with your waist and arms, whimpering and slightly swaying your hips from how pleasantly and painfully the elastic and smooth head of the vibrator slid, caressing your femininity, and the body of your boss pressed close did not give you a chance to move. And all I can do is choke on moans and sobs. Sometimes getting slapped on the hips, you twitched, whining, but rather from how at such moments it was pleasant and humiliating for a toy to torment your clitoris, pressing against your labia, but focusing on a lump of nerves, bringing you to tears and removing the vibrating object from your body again when you had a little bit left before climax, and your natural lubricant was already flowing down your legs, staining the floor. "Repeat what a good assistant should do and how he should treat his boss, even if he is not in charge of the company, but in charge of a subordinate" the man whispered threateningly in your ear, hearing with sadistic pleasure your hoarse apologies for allegedly cheating, which you did not allow, but in the perverted mind of the elder, you could do anything wrong, just to untie his hands and give him a reason to torment you and bring you to the edge of ecstasy. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, Dr. Sawyer" you apologized in a trembling voice, moaning, rolling your eyes with treacherous pleasure when men's hands squeeze your bare breasts thanks to your removed shirt and bra, which makes you bite your tongue, which you shouldn't have talked much to other people, while your knees are weak from rough play with your nipples. "Please forgive my assistant, I will never again pay so much attention to those who do not deserve anything, but I will give all my attention only to the genius of science and surgery, you, Harley Sawyer" you begged with a hoarse voice, pleasing his ego, rolling your eyes when the toy returned to your clitoris. get the long-awaited orgasm, but the doctor's silence never ended such evenings of punishment and obedience. You could only lie down on the table with your chest, trying to catch your breath, and with excitement and horror you could hear the sound of your fly being unfastened and the almost lightning-fast pressing of the elder's erection with a languid sigh, which meant that for you it was not at all the end of re-education.
"You got what you wanted. You're not overworking anymore" the man said carelessly, holding you in his arms, while Rob ran a pencil over a piece of paper, drawing out different poses for an entity called "Yarnaby." "Yes, it's true and I'm grateful to you for that, but maybe you'll still give me at least a little contact with the staff, I spend time with you from morning until late at night" you timidly answer, looking away and not daring to get up from someone else's lap while his head rests on your shoulder. your shoulder, and your back is pressed against his chest. You hold your breath, hearing that grin right in your ear again, "Is there something you don't like, Y/N? You really wanted to avoid running around platforms and seeing the smirks of some employees. I'm just fulfilling your wish. "he was saying, which made your toes feel a little tight, because even though he fulfilled your wish, he did it in such a sophisticated way and turned everything around to his advantage, as always. Once again, you were left without the opportunity to argue your answer, sighing and continuing to rest in strangely caring and proper hands. You could only bite your cheek and reflect that both you and the young man know about your situation with trying to appear as a higher person in other people's eyes and that Harley would use this against you every time you had at least one thought about leaving him. Only sometimes, glancing at the notes on different sheets left at some time to the owners of this office, you are distracted from dark thoughts. And an intriguing question for you was - who is Riley and why do I need to check her every day on.. bouts of aggression?
You were distraught when you were fired from your job right after Sawyer went missing. You couldn't answer what hurt you more, the fact that he ran away, the fact that you were fired because of him or because of his possible report on you, because if he's not in the workplace, then you shouldn't be either. At least that's what he kept saying when he dragged her into his bed, arguing that if he had a day off, so did you. And it means that you will limp again later in the evening from making love to him. But now. You were broken and confused, returning to the apartment, which was now so lonely without yours.. A lover? You didn't even know what kind of relationship you were in with him before he disappeared. That's all you could say for sure. You've become more attached to him than you planned, wanted, or could have been.. It scared you and made you cry without the affection of your beloved doctor. And his sometimes persistent kisses.
But here. After almost a few years, returning to the factory with your employee, having overcome so many dangers and living creatures that you saw only with children and only with smiles, thinking that they were harmless. You could only realize with horror that all this was an illusion, and judging by the tapes that you listened to with bated breath with your colleague, each of the experiments suffered. And you suffered the same way because of your former boss Sawyer, which made your heart sink into your heels and you were ready to collapse on the floor, not realizing that you had always been so close to a real monster.
And now. While you heard your friend running away from the mechanical bodies, you only screamed faintly into the fabric of your skirt, which was torn off at your bottom and covered your mouth from the way the wires bound your body, tightening the same on your miniature figure, clasping your hands behind your back again, while other bare wires slid over your though and a body covered with clothes, but still sensitive to weak electric shocks. And these blows were imitation kisses, while you stared wide-eyed at the humanoid creature standing above you, not allowing you to move or get up from the table on which you were sitting like a prisoner. Just the way he likes it... You just stared with horror in your eyes at the TV, which displayed a single eye that described all your features and the fact that you had hardly changed in any way over the years. His mechanical hand rests on your chin and with deliberate tenderness presses on it, forcing you to swallow out of habit from the learned signal sign - to be closer to the boss, which you do, leaning towards the figure, not even giving yourself an account of the actions, but only mechanically doing the work itself. "I've been waiting for you for so long, my beloved assistant. You've missed and missed me too much, Y/N, but don't worry. I won't leave you alone anymore. Never. "

Seriously just what did you get yourself into?
The first incident or “love letter” arrived onto your doorstep on a random Wednesday. It was just a soft pink envelope sealed with a heart-shaped sticker. At first, you thought it was for you until you saw the name of the girl in your english class. Maybe someone had the wrong dorm number. But when another letter shows up the next day, and then another, you start to realize two things:
1. Someone on campus has a serious crush problem.
2. You have somehow become their personal delivery service.
By Friday, you had a whole collection of letters meant for people you barely know. With no better plan, you start slipping them into the correct mailbox, dropping them onto desks, and handing them off with a whispered, “This is for you.”
Before you know it, people started calling you the ‘Campus Cupid’.
It’s kind of fun—watching couples get together, seeing people’s eyes light up when they read something sweet. That is, until you find his letter.
Lee Heeseungs letter. The guy with the lazy smile and unfairly good hair. The guy who always seems to be exactly where you don’t need him to be. The guy you have been crushing on way more than you meant to.
It was no surprise that he would get sent a letter. He was the darling of the campus, he was a charmer, talented in sports and without a doubt extremely handsome.
You examined the letter. It was morally right to give it to him… right?
Frowning, you place the letter in his usual seat. Just because you liked him didn’t mean you can take his right of knowing that someone else does.
The day passes without you thinking too much about the letter you placed on Heeseung’s desk. Or at least, you try not to think about it. It’s not like it matters, right? Someone else likes him. No big deal.
At least, that’s what you keep telling yourself.
But then, right after your afternoon lecture, Heeseung finds you outside the lecture hall, love letter in hand.
“Hey, Cupid.” His voice is casual, but there’s a flicker of something unreadable in his eyes. He holds up the letter between two fingers. “Any idea who wrote this?”
Your heart stops.
You stare at the letter, forcing yourself to keep calm. You knew this would happen. Of course, Heeseung would be curious. You should just tell him you don’t know. That’s what you should do.
But something about the way he’s looking at you makes you hesitate.
Frowning, you take the letter from his hands, pretending to examine it like if you hadn’t stared at it for hours before handing it to him. But when you open it and your eyes scan the page, confusion settles in.
There’s no name. No initials. Nothing.
That’s strange. Most of the letters you’ve delivered always had at least a tiny clue. An initial, a signature, sometimes even a number with a name.
“What’s with that look? You must’ve seen who gave it to you, no?” Heeseung asks, raising a brow.
You look back at the letter, skimming over the heart felt words. It was weird intruding someone’s feelings like this but with Heeseungs intense stare you couldn’t say no. The letter said:
I don’t know when it started, but you’ve always been there. In the background, in the crowd, just close enough to notice, but never close enough to reach. It’s frustrating, liking someone like this. Sometimes I wish I never met you in that cafe because now you’re all I ever think about, I hope I can confront you someday.
Your stomach twists.
The handwriting. The way certain letters are slanted. The way some words are scratched out and rewritten.
It’s… familiar.
Too familiar.
Your breath catches.
Oh.
Oh no.
It was yours.
See, the first time you met Heeseung, it wasn’t in a lecture hall or at some college party—it was at a small cafe just off campus, the kind of place students flocked to for overpriced lattes and last-minute study sessions.
You had been there first, tucked into a corner seat with your laptop open and a half-empty cup of coffee beside you. The cafe was packed, the usual rush of students scrambling for caffeine before their next class, and you were too focused on your work to notice him walk in.
That is, until you heard a voice—smooth, slightly out of breath—directed at you.
“Hey, is this seat taken?”
You looked up, and that was the first time you saw Lee Heeseung up close.
Messy brown hair, a hoodie thrown over a plain t-shirt, dark eyes filled with something playful yet sleepy at the same time. You recognized him vaguely—he was in one of your general electives, though he always sat near the back, half-hidden behind his laptop. He was the kind of guy people noticed without him even trying, whether it was because of his reputation on the basketball team or just the effortless way he carried himself.
And now, he was standing in front of you, waiting for an answer.
You blinked. “Oh, um—no, go ahead.”
“Thanks,” he said, sliding into the chair across from you. He set down his coffee cup, then pulled out a notebook, flipping through the pages lazily. “You’re in my media studies class, right?”
You hadn’t expected him to recognize you, much less strike up a conversation.
“Yeah,” you admitted. “I sit near the front.”
“Right, that’s why I never see you,” he said with a lopsided grin. “I usually get there late.”
You let out a small laugh despite yourself. “Yeah, I’ve noticed.”
For some reason, that seemed to amuse him. Heeseung leaned back in his chair, tapping his pen against his notebook. “So, what’s got you looking so serious? Studying for something?”
You glanced at your laptop screen. “Not exactly. Just… trying to finish an article for the campus paper.”
That caught his interest. “You write for the paper?”
“Kind of. It’s just an opinion column. Nothing major.”
Heeseung tilted his head, considering. “I’ll have to check it out sometime. Maybe I’ll learn something.”
You rolled your eyes, but you could feel your face growing warm. Heeseung had this way of making everything sound lighthearted, but there was something about the way he was looking at you—like he actually meant it—that made your stomach flip.
You didn’t know it then, but that moment—him sitting across from you in a crowded cafe, lazily flipping through his notes while keeping light conversations, smiling at you like you were the only person worth paying attention to—that was the moment it started.
The quiet, unshakable feeling of a new beginning forming.
You blink rapidly, snapping back to reality, only to find Heeseung staring at you with a curious tilt of his head.
“You good?” He waves a hand in front of your face, and you realize you’ve been gripping the letter like it personally offended you.
“Yeah!” You blurt out, a little too quickly. “Fine. Super fine.”
Heeseung narrows his eyes, but instead of questioning your suspicious expressions, he leans against the wall next to you, arms crossed, the picture of casual confidence. “So? Any idea who my secret admirer is?”
Your stomach does a full gymnastics routine.
Yeah, actually, it’s me. Surprise!
Obviously, you can’t say that.
You force a laugh, shoving the letter back into his hands like it’s a ticking time bomb. “No clue! There are so many love letters I deal with around campus, you know? Could be anyone.”
Heeseung mockingly pouted. “Come on, Cupid. If anyone can figure it out, it’s you.”
You freeze. Oh no.
Heeseung grins, nudging your arm playfully. “Please? be my lead detective I need to know who has this much of a crush on me.”
You stare at him, trying not to look as horrified as you feel. He’s practically pleading, eyes shining with excitement. He wants to know. He’s curious.
And you?
You want the earth to swallow you whole.
But instead, you swallow down your panic and give him your most confident, totally-not-dying-inside smile. “Yeah, sure! I’ll, uh… I’ll let you know if I figure it out.”
Great. Now you’re investigating your own love letter.
Romcoms make this look so much easier.
Tumblr media
In your defense, the love letter was never supposed to see the light of day.
It had been one of those late-night, caffeine-fueled brain dumps—the kind where your emotions got the best of you, and instead of focusing on your essay due at midnight, you had decided, hey, why not write a dramatic love confession you’ll never actually send?
It started off as a joke. A harmless what if?
What if you had the guts to tell Heeseung how you felt?
What if you weren’t just the campus Cupid, but actually someone worth writing about?
What if, for once, you weren’t just the messenger in everyone else’s love stories?
So, you had poured your heart onto the page. You wrote about how frustrating it was, liking someone from a distance—watching him laugh in the campus café, seeing him glide effortlessly through every class, always just out of reach. You let yourself be honest, because no one was ever supposed to read it.
And then? You stuffed it into your notebook, forgot about it, and went about your life like it never happened.
Until now.
Now, it was in Heeseung’s hands just because you thought it was written by someone else, and now you were stuck in the worst romcom of all time—investigating your own love letter while trying desperately to keep your crush a secret.
Honestly?
You were so, so doomed.
“So, what do you think?”
You try to keep your face neutral as Heeseung waves the letter in front of you, looking more confused than anything.
“About… what?” You ask cautiously.
“This.” He gestures to the paper. “The letter. My so-called ‘secret admirer.’”
Your spoke before you could stop yourself. “So…you figure out who it is. What happens then?”
He thinks, running a hand through his hair. “I mean, i’ll turn them down, it’s really flattering but it’s also kind of a hassle.”
A hassle?
You force out a laugh, even as your stomach twists into knots. “Oh, come on, it’s not that bad. Someone clearly put a lot of thought into this.”
“That’s the problem.” Heeseung exhales sharply. “I wasn’t expecting this. Im interested in someone else, and now I have to figure out how to let this person down without making things awkward.”
Your face heats up. You want to disappear.
“So, you’re not interested in them…? You like someone already?” You ask hesitantly, barely able to get the words out.
Heeseung shakes his head. “I don’t even know who they are. But I hope they don’t take it the wrong way, Y’know?”
You stare at him, pulse pounding in your ears.
He has no idea.
And now? You definitely can’t confess.
Not when you already know his answer.
And if there was one thing worse than knowing Heeseung didn’t want a relationship, it was actively helping him investigate your own confession.
Every day, he’d bring up new theories about who could’ve written the letter, and every day, you’d have to nod along, pretending to be just as clueless.
At first, it wasn’t so bad. Heeseung didn’t seem to be taking it too seriously, mostly brushing it off whenever it came up. But as the days passed, something shifted… just slightly.
“Okay, so hear me out,” Heeseung said, leaning against the bookshelf beside you. The library was quiet, save for the occasional rustle of papers and muffled whispers. “What if it’s someone from one of my classes?”
You kept your eyes on your laptop screen, pretending to focus on your assignment. “You already went through that theory. Twice.”
“Yeah, but I was thinking—what if they’re too nervous to say anything in person? What if it’s, like… someone who sits far away from me?”
You bit your lip. “And yet, you’re still expecting me to figure it out?”
“Well, you’re good at reading people.” Heeseung grinned, nudging your arm. “You always seem to know what’s going on with everyone.”
Your heart stuttered. If only he knew just how right he was.
Heeseung sighed, folding his arms over his chest. “I don’t get it. They wrote all this deep, meaningful stuff, but they didn’t sign their name. What’s the point of confessing if you don’t want the person to know?”
You swallowed hard. “Maybe they were scared.”
Heeseung tilted his head slightly, looking at you in that way that always made you feel like he could see through you. “Scared of what?”
You hesitated. “Of ruining what they already have.”
His expression shifted. “You think they know me?”
You forced a shrug. “Probably. Why else would they write all that?”
Something flickered in his gaze, something unreadable. He held your gaze for a second too long before clearing his throat. “Huh. I never really thought about it like that.”
You turned back to your screen, desperate to focus on anything else. But then Heeseung moved closer, his arm brushing against yours as he leaned in to look at your laptop.
“What are you even working on?” he asked, voice quieter now, like the space between you had shrunk to something more intimate.
You could barely think straight. “Just… an essay.”
“Hm.” He didn’t sound convinced.
His voice was too close. His scent—clean, with a hint of something warm—was too distracting. It was stupid, so stupid, how easily he got under your skin without even trying.
The next few days started to get a little weird.
Heeseung had always been playful, always teasing and leaning in too close, but now it felt… different.
It was in the way he started remembering the little things—how you liked your coffee, how you tapped your fingers when you were thinking, how you always fixed your hair when you were nervous.
It was in the way he kept looking at you, his gaze lingering a little too long before he caught himself.
It was in the way his teasing changed—less casual, more intentional. Like he wanted to see how you’d react.
And then, one night, things got dangerous.
You were in his dorm, flipping through the list of names you had pretended to compile for the investigation. Heeseung sat on the floor beside you, his laptop balanced on his knees, absentmindedly chewing on a pen cap as he read through the letter again.
“You know…” he said, tilting his head, “whoever wrote this is actually really good with words.”
Your blinked. “Yeah?”
“Yeah. It’s, like… weirdly personal.” He frowned slightly, scanning the page. “I feel how much they mean it.”
You held your breath.
He let out a soft laugh. “Honestly, it kinda sounds like your writing.”
Your heart stopped.
Your head snapped up so fast you nearly gave yourself whiplash. “What?”
Heeseung blinked at you, startled. “I mean—you’re good at writing, right? I read your papers, You’ve always been good with words.”
He reads your papers?
You forced out a laugh, hoping he couldn’t hear the way your voice shook. “Right— Well, I didn’t write it, obviously.”
Heeseung studied you for a moment, his expression unreadable. Then, to your horror, he smirked.
“Why do you look so guilty?”
“I don’t.”
“You do.”
“I’m literally just existing, Heeseung. Shut up.”
He laughed, but there was something behind his eyes that made your stomach flip—something like curiosity. “Stop freaking out im just kidding.”
Tumblr media
The investigation had led you and Heeseung all over campus, following false leads, and ultimately getting nowhere. You had been walking back toward the dorms when the sky, clear just moments ago, suddenly turned gray.
And then—of course—it started to rain.
Hard.
“Are you serious?” you groaned, pulling your jacket over your head as you and Heeseung ran toward the nearest cover—a small wooden gazebo near the campus library.
You both skidded to a stop under the roof, breathless and drenched. Heeseung shook his head like a wet dog, flinging water everywhere.
“Really?” You scowled, wiping raindrops off your face.
He laughed, ruffling his already-messy hair. “My bad.”
The sound of rain drumming against the roof filled the space between you, the cool breeze making you shiver.
“Here,” Heeseung said, shrugging off his hoodie.
You blinked at him. “What?”
“You’re cold, Cupid” he pointed out, holding the hoodie out to you. “Take it.”
“I’m fine,” you said, crossing your arms.
He scoffed. “Just take it before you get sick.”
You hesitated, but he rolled his eyes and stepped closer, draping the hoodie over your shoulders himself. The warmth of it, of him, surrounded you immediately, and your breath hitched.
You looked up at him, ready to protest, but he was already watching you—his expression unreadable, the usual teasing glint in his eyes nowhere to be found.
“Why do I feel like you’re hiding something from me?” he murmured suddenly.
Your pulse spiked. “What?”
Heeseung tilted his head slightly, studying you in a way that made your stomach twist. “I don’t know. You just…” He trailed off, then shook his head. “Never mind.”
You swallowed hard, clutching the hoodie tighter around you.
The rain kept falling around you, blurring the world outside the gazebo, making this moment feel like it existed outside of everything else—outside of reality, outside of whatever mess you had gotten yourself into.
For a split second, it felt like you weren’t just Heeseung’s reluctant investigation partner. Like you weren’t the person holding onto a secret that could ruin everything.
Like, maybe, he could actually like you back.
But then he sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. “We should probably wait this out before heading back.”
Just like that, the moment passed and you were left standing there in his hoodie, drowning in warmth, drowning in him, pretending you weren’t completely, helplessly falling apart.
After the rain, the campus felt quieter, the usual chatter dampened by the lingering water in the air. You walked alongside Heeseung, both of you with your hoods up, trying to shield yourselves from the leftover drizzle. It was awkward but comfortable — the kind of silence where you weren’t sure if you were supposed to talk or if it was okay just to exist in the same space.
Heeseung was the first to break it. “You know, you really don’t have to walk me all the way back to my dorm. It should be the other way around—.”
You glanced at him, trying to hide the blush creeping up your cheeks. You were worried about your own feelings, and now, Heeseung had a way of making your heart flutter with the smallest of gestures.
“I don’t mind,” you replied quickly, too quickly. “I just figured I should, you know… make sure you’re okay.”
Heeseung chuckled, a low sound that made you feel warm despite the cool rain. “You’re acting kind of weird. Usually, you’re so naggy. I thought I’d never see you get flustered.”
You looked away, trying to hide your face. “I’m not flustered.”
There was a brief pause as Heeseung watched you. His eyes softened, the usual teasing light in them dimming a little. “You’re not fooling me, you know.”
You slowed your pace, nervous now, your heart pounding as you tried to look calm. “I’m not trying to fool anyone.”
“I think you are,” he replied, stepping a little closer, his shoulder brushing yours as the two of you continued walking side by side.
You swallowed hard. The proximity felt different now, more charged. Your voice faltered. “What do you mean?”
Heeseung didn’t respond right away. Instead, he shifted his gaze to the ground, the rain creating ripples on the wet pavement. “It’s just… you’re always so careful with what you say. Always so in control. But sometimes… I wonder if you’re hiding something.”
Your stomach dropped at his words. You glanced over at him, but he wasn’t looking at you. The air between you felt heavier, and the tension seemed to stretch out longer than usual.
“I’m not hiding anything,” you murmured, even though part of you wished he could know the truth — or maybe, just maybe, that he could feel the same way.
Heeseung’s voice was quieter now, his tone almost teasing, but there was something else in it, something deeper. “Then why do you always look at me like that? Like you’re holding back?”
Your heart skipped a beat. “What?”
He finally met your eyes, his gaze intense. There was a flicker of something — was it vulnerability? — in his look. “Like you’re scared to let me in. What are you afraid of?”
Your breath hitched. For a split second, you were paralyzed, unsure of how to answer. Was it possible he was starting to see through your walls?
Heeseung’s gaze softened as he noticed the look on your face, sensing something unspoken. He took a step back, offering you a small, reassuring smile. “Maybe I’m just overthinking it. Forget it.”
But you couldn’t forget it. Not now. You could feel the space between the two of you shifting, the weight of his words lingering. Something was different, something had shifted, and you weren’t sure if it was just your heart racing or something more.
For the rest of the walk, neither of you spoke much. But every time your eyes met, it felt like there was a new understanding between you two — a shared secret that neither of you was ready to fully admit, but both were beginning to feel.
Tumblr media
It had been a long day, but when you stepped out of your last class, you couldn’t shake the feeling that something was different. It wasn’t just the cold air or the approaching dusk; something was off, and you couldn’t quite put your finger on it. That was until you spotted Heeseung standing by the bench outside the library, his gaze fixed on you as if he’d been waiting for a while.
Your heart skipped a beat.
He looked at you for a moment before he spoke. “Cupid, we need to talk.”
A nervous flutter danced in your stomach, and you forced a smile. “Uh, sure. What’s up?”
He took a deep breath, stepping toward you, and you noticed the letter in his hand — the same one you’d written to him, the one that had been slipped anonymously into his mailbox just a few days ago. Your heart pounded in your chest, the realization of what was happening dawning on you.
Heeseung didn’t say anything for a moment, just held the letter between his fingers, glancing down at it. “I know this is from you,” he said quietly, his voice gentle but filled with a soft surprise. “I figured it out after I read it again.”
You froze, your breath catching in your throat. You had hoped, prayed, that he wouldn’t find out this way. But here it was, and you couldn’t avoid it any longer.
“How… How did you know?” you asked, trying to hide the nerves creeping up your voice.
He smiled slightly, his eyes crinkling at the corners. “A few things gave it away. The way you worded everything… It just felt like it came from you.”
“Also I found some of your notebooks while we were at your dorm and I matched the handwriting…” He blurted out.
Your heart sank. You had spent so long hoping he wouldn’t realize it was you, but now it seemed impossible to hide the truth.
“I… I’m sorry,” you said, almost embarrassed. “I didn’t mean for you to find out like this. I just… didn’t know how to tell you. I didn’t want to make things awkward between us.”
Heeseung’s expression softened. “Why would it be awkward?”
“Because I’ve liked you for a while, and I didn’t know how to say it,” you admitted, looking down at your shoes. “So I thought if I wrote the letter, I could control it. But then I accidentally gave it to you and everything is just— I don’t know It was never meant to reach you.”
Heeseung’s smile widened, and something about the way he looked at you made your stomach flip. “Well, I don’t know about you, but I kind of wish you’d just told me sooner.”
Your eyes shot up to meet his. “What?”
“I mean it,” he said, stepping a little closer. “I wasn’t expecting it to be you but now that I know… It’s kind of a relief. I’ve been wondering why you’ve been acting so weird around me.”
You blinked, taken aback. “I’ve been acting weird?”
Heeseung laughed softly, his eyes twinkling. “Yeah, you’ve been avoiding me like the plague. Always a little too nervous when we talk.”
You felt a wave of warmth rise to your cheeks. “I didn’t mean to… I just…”
He took another step forward, the distance between the two of you shrinking. “You don’t need to explain. I get it.” He paused for a moment, his eyes meeting yours with an almost teasing glint in them. “Honestly, I’ve kind of had a feeling you liked me. You just never said it.”
Your heart skipped a beat. “Wait… you knew?”
He grinned. “Not for sure, but I wasn’t completely blind. I just didn’t want to make assumptions.”
A laugh bubbled up from your chest, and you felt your nerves ease a little. The tension that had been building between the two of you melted away, replaced by something lighter, something more familiar.
“So… this doesn’t make things weird?” you asked cautiously, unsure if you were reading him right. The last thing you wanted was to make things uncomfortable.
Heeseung shook his head, his smile softening. “No. Actually, I’m kind of glad. Now I don’t have to turn anyone down because I like someone else.”
Your heart raced as he closed the gap between the two of you, standing only a few inches away. He looked down at the letter in his hand, then back at you, his expression serious but warm. “I don’t think I ever really realized how much I liked you until now. I think I’ve been too caught up in my own head to notice, but hearing this from you? Yeah, I think I feel the same.”
For a moment, everything seemed to pause — the sound of people passing by, the rustling of the leaves in the breeze, even the thumping of your own heartbeat — until Heeseung’s words sank in fully. The shock of it left you speechless, and the only thing you could manage was a soft, almost breathless, “Really?”
He chuckled, the sound light and comforting. “Really. I like you too, Cupid— I mean, Y/N.”
A smile spread across your face, and you couldn’t stop it. Your heart felt lighter than it had in days, as if a weight had been lifted off your chest. You had been so afraid of how things might turn out, but now, with Heeseung standing here in front of you, it felt like everything was falling into place.
Heeseung held the letter out to you, a soft chuckle escaping his lips. “You know, you could’ve just told me. But I guess this works too.”
You took the letter from him, glancing down at the words you’d written once more, a smile tugging at your lips. “Maybe it was a bit dramatic. But… I was too scared to just say it. I didn’t want to mess things up.”
He reached for your hand, gently taking it in his. “You didn’t mess anything up, Cupid. You just… made everything clearer.”
And just like that, all the tension and uncertainty you’d been feeling seemed to dissolve. There was no more hiding, no more pretending. You were standing here, with Heeseung, both of you finally understanding the feelings that had been simmering for so long.
“So,” he said after a moment, his voice playful again, “How about we skip the letters next time and just go for a dinner date?”
You laughed, your heart full as you squeezed his hand. “That sounds perfect.”
Heeseung smiled, his gaze soft and filled with something genuine. “Good. Let’s not wait any longer, I really want some ramen.”
And with that, the two of you walked off together, the air between you light, and the promise of something more ahead.

BONUS 𝜗𝜚˚⋆
Dating Heeseung felt like stepping into something familiar but entirely new at the same time. The comfort of your friendship was still there—the teasing, the ease, the way you could talk about anything and everything—but now there was something softer, sweeter, laced between every interaction.
Like right now.
It was late, the two of you curled up on your dorm room floor with a half-finished pizza between you, an old playlist humming softly from your phone. The world outside felt quiet, like this moment only belonged to the two of you. Heeseung was leaning against the bed, his legs stretched out, while you were sitting cross-legged beside him, picking at the crust of your pizza slice.
His hand, which had been resting casually near yours, suddenly slid closer, his fingers tracing the tips of yours absentmindedly. It was such a simple thing, but it sent a shiver up your spine nonetheless.
“So,” Heeseung started, voice slow and teasing. “How’s it feel? Finally dating the guy of your dreams?”
You rolled your eyes, already knowing where this was going. “You’re impossible.”
Heeseung grinned, leaning his head back against the bed. “No, but really. You had a crush on me for so long, and now look at us.” His fingers fully laced with yours now, his touch warm and effortless.
“I wouldn’t say I had a crush that long,” you mumbled, taking a sip of your drink to avoid looking at him.
“Are you kidding? You literally wrote me a love letter.”
Your face burned. “Okay, one letter—”
“One?” Heeseung gasped dramatically, sitting up and turning toward you. “So you’re telling me there aren’t, like, ten versions of that letter somewhere in your notes app?”
You choked. “There absolutely are not.”
“Oh my god.” He laughed, eyes gleaming with amusement. “There are. You rewrote it a bunch of times, didn’t you?”
You covered your face with your hands, groaning. “I am not having this conversation.”
Heeseung was grinning now, having way too much fun at your expense. He reached over, gently prying your hands from your face. “No, no, let’s talk about it. Tell me, how long did it take you to get the perfect wording? Did you, like, pace around your room dramatically?”
You huffed, crossing your arms. “For your information, I wasn’t that dramatic.”
Heeseung smirked. “Mhm. So you didn’t dramatically sigh and go, ‘No, this isn’t right, I need to capture his essence’?”
You picked up a stray piece of crust and chucked it at him. He dodged it easily, laughing as he caught your wrist, pulling you toward him slightly.
“You’re the worst,” you mumbled, but there was no real annoyance behind it.
Heeseung was still grinning, his fingers now playing with yours absentmindedly. “You love it.”
You sighed, shaking your head. “I really don’t.”
“You do,” he countered, tugging you even closer until you were practically pressed against his side. His voice dropped, softer now, almost teasing in a different way. “Did you mean everything you said in that letter?”
You swallowed, suddenly feeling like all the air had been sucked out of the room. “What if I did?”
Heeseung tilted his head, his gaze locked onto yours, and suddenly, the playful atmosphere melted into something else—something quieter, more intense.
“Then,” he murmured, his thumb brushing lightly over your knuckles, “I’d tell you that I think about it a lot.”
You blinked. “You do?”
Heeseung nodded, his expression unusually serious now. “I mean, do you even realize how… nice it is to know someone felt that way about me? And not just anyone—you.” He exhaled, his lips curling into something softer, more affectionate. “I don’t think I ever told you, but when I first read it, before I even knew it was from you, I remember thinking… whoever wrote this really cares about me.”
Your heart was thudding so loudly you were sure he could hear it.
“And then,” he continued, “when I found out it was you? It just… it all made sense.”
Your breath hitched slightly. “It did?”
Heeseung hummed in response.
“You’ve always been there,” he said softly. “I just didn’t realize how much I wanted you to be closer.”
You felt your throat tighten, emotion bubbling up in your chest, but before you could even think of a response, Heeseung leaned in, his forehead resting lightly against yours.
His eyes flickered to your lips for just a moment before meeting your gaze again, as if silently asking permission.
You didn’t need to think twice.
Closing the small distance between you, you kissed him.
It was soft, slow—like both of you were still memorizing the feeling. Heeseung sighed against your lips, his hand sliding to your jaw, tilting your face toward him just slightly.
When you finally pulled away, breathless and heart pounding, Heeseung smiled, his forehead still pressed to yours.
“So,” he murmured, eyes twinkling, “if I ask you nicely, do I get to read those other drafts of the letter?”
You groaned, shoving him away playfully. “Absolutely not.”
Heeseung only laughed, pulling you back into his arms with ease. “Fine, fine. But at least let me know—was I always this irresistible in them?”
You rolled your eyes, but your smile gave you away. “Shut up, Heeseung.”
He grinned, pressing another soft kiss to your temple. “Love you too.”

The excessive amount of symbolism in Kendrick’s super bowls halftime show:
Tumblr media
A rant because I like king Kenny.
(I promise I’m still making this first video guys🙏🏾)
Our introduction:
Should be long known that Kendrick didn’t do all of these disses towards Drake just as some feeble rap battle. He started it to bring his LA peers together. Which he did at a concert where both crips and bloods danced together on stage. Blue and Red finally made purple. Now Kendrick uses this power he was given to lure in his audience yet again. With subtle hints and jabs telling us that the time for revolution is now. We move on to the show.
Performance:
“The revolution bout to be televised you picked the right time but the wrong guy.”
Meaning the government, manipulating and controlling its people and the people eating it up like stray dogs and raw meat. Chose the ”right time” but with Kendrick multiple times saying that he has the power to “press the button.” meaning Kendrick at any time or place could tell his followers and fans to strike whatever spot, place, or event he pleases and without the power of manipulation or lies. We’d all do it no questions asked. Hence him being the ”wrong guy” Kendrick has too much love from fans to die of vain, or be silenced without squalor.
The dancers:
Being colors of red, white, and blue. They all leave the same car yet end up split half and half. Not only talking about what Lamar usually talks about (blacks separated by higher ups) but America as a whole is separated through pure manipulation, propaganda, and hatred.
Going into his not like us performance:
he starts with “40 acres and a mule this is bigger than the music.”* 40 acres and a mule is what was promised to over 1200 black people after the civil war to repair a fraction of the damage caused during slavery. And over 1200 black peoples property was relinquished and taken back so the blacks could work for the previous white property owners. Setting the entire deal back two steps ” 40 acres and a mule.” this meaning that we can’t always trust what the rich say. Even when it’s temporarily in our grasp.
Uncle Sam:
Samuel Jackson, posing as *”Uncle Sam”* a literal metaphor of America, constantly bashes Kendrick during the performance. Saying things like “too LOUD. Too RECKLESS. Too GHETTO” how many white directors and music labels tell black creators and actors how they sound to ruthless and cruel when truly they only speak words with no meaning but love and fun behind it. “See you brought your homeboys with ya, the old culture cheat code” banning together as a community of color and truly working together, which every time has bring us success and victory without fail. Just like putting in a “cheat code” automatically makes you stronger. “Score keeper. Deduct one life.” Now this one has an incredible amount of meanings that all correspond with eachother. Divide and Conquer. Kill just one of the countless people in the community and the entire thing could fall apart. Deduct one life also meaning video game wise they lose the amount of chances to appease higher ups and satisfy them. Deduct one life ALSO meaning and the most noticeable one is that higher ups. The government. White men of power. Despise and hate when their slaves and submissive people come to peace with each other and become a team. Because they can’t fight hundreds. Not even tens. Seeing us together is a fear injector for the rich.
What it all means:
This entire thing together is Kendrick telling us to squabble up. Prepare ourselves for battle and revolution. And I don’t think it’s in the ways of the civil war. But in the ways of Martin Luther king. Except the dream will be fulfilled. And the consequences for pulling the trigger will be much heavier than a peaceful protest. Our time approaches. Do not be late.

I agree.
James didn´t need to become a bully, he could have been like Harry or Ron or bassically any other kid his age, mind his bussines and have fun without hurting people, yet he didn´t and he focused on Severus because he didn´t like the fact the girl he wanted for himself was Severu´s friend. James may have not been a darkarts practicant but it´s hard to ignore one of the reasons he bullied Severus was the fact he tought he was below James and Sirius and so didn´t deserve to have Lily as a friend.
James was a good friend of Sirius, he gave him a home and supported Remus but he and Sirius still used Remus to get their fun putting other people in danger letting him get loose during full moon and when push came to shove Sirius and James doubted Remus precisely for his lycantropy and keep the truth of the secret keeper from him.
Them both were lousy friends of Peter Pettigrew calling him names or thinking he was pathetic and expected his co-dependence with them would lead him to lose his life as SK having Voldemort persecuting him instead of Sirius, they were wrong, they tought real life was like Hogwarts and found out Voldemort wasn´t quite as easy to fool as their teachers or as easy to fight like beating other kids at school. That was a fatal mistake. he keep bullying him even after he and Lily became a couple and this didn´t stop until graduation. That´s the story of canon James with Severus and all the fics in the world can´t change those facts.
I also believe they exaggerate Severus "torture of Harry Potter" yes he was biased agaisnt him and usually listened to his Slytherin students like Draco over Harry and Ron or Hermione when they fought each other but the most Severus ever did to Harry as his teacher was to punish him with detention and usually Harry gave him reasons for this, be it because he stole ingredients from his classroom, was out after hours or put himself in danger when the whole school wanted to protect him from Sirious when they believed he wanted to kill Harry and
If Severus was THAT abusive to Harry as his teacher then Minerva would not have supported Severu´s detentions and even add she would have been more strict than him in one occasion and we saw this, say whatever you want about Snape but he never send Harry, Ron and Hermione to the darkforest as part of their detention, his personality and words may be horrible sometimes but Snape´s main thing/motivation after repenting for becoming a death eater was the fact he keep students safe and he took this duties seriously, yes including Harry.
Harry himself would not have gone out of his way to keep Sirius and Severus from fighting each other if his relationship with Snape was so bad and he only started to truly hate Snape because he blamed him for Sirius and later his parents death.
We have been over this for many years and fandom seems to repeat non-stop the takes they believe will win them arguments but sometimes we just need to read the books again before making more arguements imo.
I cannot believe people let Snape get the high ground.
How do people casually overlook the fact that Snape spent six entire years of his life telling a kid—who never even got the chance to know his father—that said father was an arrogant douchebag? Like, how do people think that behavior is normal?
Snape, a grown man, spent years trying to convince a grieving, orphaned child that his dead father—who literally died protecting his family—was a terrible person. No compassion for a man who gave his life for his wife and son. No sympathy for a kid who grew up abused, unloved, and completely alone, only learning about his parents through stories told by others.
Instead, Snape chose to rehash his teenage rivalry with James Potter by bullying his son. Imagine being so petty that you can’t move past your high school grudges, even when the other person has been dead for over a decade.
Even the coldest, most detached person would muster some respect for a man who died fighting for good. But Snape? No. He chose to sit on his high horse—ignoring the fact that he was once a Death Eater who only changed sides when his own personal interests were threatened—and still had the audacity to act morally superior to James.
James Potter died a hero. Snape, on the other hand, spent his life tormenting the child of the woman he claimed to love—while refusing to let go of a teenage rivalry and weaponizing it against a traumatized, grieving boy.
I cannot get over how utterly selfish and cruel that is. Snape had no empathy for the dead and no sympathy for the living. And people still try to defend him? Seriously?

𝑴𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒂 𝒅𝒂𝒚/𝑴.𝑳𝒆ó𝒏
Tumblr media
Mapi was slumped into her chair, arms crossed, eyes heavy with exhaustion. She had barely spoken a word since you both left the house which was concerning in itself because Mapi never shut up. Normally she’d be teasing you or complaining about how early it was, or making some ridiculous joke that only she found funny. But today? Nothing. Just the occasional sniffle and a dramatic sigh every five minutes.
You nudged her gently. “You okay?”
Mapi turned her head slowly, eyes half-lidded, and pointed to her throat before dramatically pretending to cry.
“Oh no, poor baby,” you cooed, biting back a smile as you placed your hand on her thigh and squeezed softly.
She glared at you and grabbed her phone, typing something before holding it up. There, in big capital letters, read,
THIS IS YOUR FAULT.
You gasped. “How is this my fault?”
She sniffled loudly and typed again.
You stole my blanket. I got cold. Now I am dying.
“That is not how sickness works, amor, and you’re not dying, just dramatic.”
She squinted at you like she was contemplating murder, but thankfully, before she could, the media team called her name and she let out the most pathetic attempt at a groan before pushing herself up from the chair. You followed, because you knew she was going to need help. She was supposed to film an interview, answer questions, be her usual charming and slightly ridiculous self. But that was hard to do when she sounded like an eighty-year-old smoker.
As soon as the cameras were ready, Mapi cleared her throat and opened her mouth to speak. Nothing. A horrible, scratchy wheeze came out instead, making her sound like a broken door hinge. The crew exchanged glances, and you pressed your lips together, trying not to laugh. Mapi looked horrified.
One of the interviewers hesitated. “Uh…do you want to reschedule?”
Mapi shook her head quickly, grabbing her phone again.
No, I am professional.
You snorted. “Yeah, okay.”
She sent you a withering look and started typing furiously. Then she handed you the phone.
You do it. Be my voice.
You blinked. “Wait, what?”
She nodded firmly, crossing her arms.
The media team seemed amused by the idea. One of them spoke up. “So…you’ll answer her questions for her?”
Mapi pointed at you, then gave a thumbs-up.
You sighed. “Fine. But if you make me say something stupid, I swear-“
She grinned,,which was probably the first real sign of life you’d seen from her all morning since you’d dragged her ass out of bed.m
The interview began, and the first question was a simple one. “How are you feeling today, Mapi?”
You glanced at her, and she immediately typed on her phone before shoving it at you.
You read it aloud. “I feel amazing. Very strong. Possibly the strongest I have ever been.”
The interviewer looked at Mapi skeptically. “You…don’t sound amazing.”
Mapi scowled, typing furiously for a second.
You glanced at the screen again.“I am perfect. I am unstoppable. Only weak people get sick.”
Mapi nodded sagely.
You rolled your eyes. “She’s literally dying.”
Mapi nudged you sharply with her elbow, and you yelped.
“Okay, next question,” the interviewer said, clearly entertained. “Who is the funniest person on the team?”
Mapi smirked and started typing.
You took the phone and read, “Me, obviously.” Mapi grinned, and you continued reading. “Also, my girlfriend is very funny, but only on accident. Most of the time, she is just dumb.”
You looked up in outrage. “MAPI.”
She was shaking with silent laughter, and the media team too, was losing it. The interview went on like that, with Mapi answering every question through you, except half the time she was using it as an opportunity to make fun of you.
Finally, the interviewer asked, “Okay, last question. What’s the best part about being in a relationship with your teammate?”
Mapi’s smirk softened slightly, and she typed slower this time.
You took the phone and read, “She makes me happy. Even when she is annoying. And even when she steals my blanket and makes me sick.”
Your heart melted a little. “Oh, Mapi.”
She gave you a tired smile.
Then she grabbed the phone again and typed one last thing.
Also, I am much better at football than her.
You groaned. “I take back every nice thing I was about to say.”
Mapi just laughed well, wheezed- and rested her head on your shoulder as the interview wrapped up.

Doctor's In - Part 13
Summary: Your life in Boston after Wanda.
The air is cold, and just your luck, today you left the car outside of the building’s parking lot.
Maybe it’s not such a bad thing after all, as a cute woman is inspecting the black Corvette, in awe of the elegant and expensive car.
“Want a ride?”
“This yours?” she says, genuinenly fascinated.
“Yeap” you nod. “She’s a beauty, 490-hp 6.2-liter V-8 engine”
Do you know what those words mean? Not at all.
“My father and I used to fix cars. I need to send him a picture. Can I?”
“Sure, go ahead” you smile. “I’ll even take one of you standing next to it”
You pull out your phone.
“Oh, wait, I should have given you mine” the woman says, and you smile.
“Or you could give me your number and I’ll send the pics” you smile at her, offering your phone.
“Very smooth” she blushes, taking it.
“If you wanna talk about smooth, the leather seats are just…”
“Ugh, it’s too cold to take my motorcycle, can you give me a ride to the hospital?” Yelena interrupts, coming out of nowhere as usual.
“Shh, go away” you push her behind you.
“God, we’re gonna be late. Just skip to the part where you lie about texting the girl and get on with it” she mumbles, and luckily only you can hear her.
“Sorry, she’s being annoying” you elbow Yelena’s side. “I’ll send you the pictures, and my offer for a ride still stands”
“Well, alright then. Have fun babysitting” the woman comments, which earns her a glare from the blonde.
“Get in the fucking car” you mutter. “Why can’t you ask your mother for a damn car? She has lots of them”
“Like the one you borrow and use to get phone numbers? I don’t understand why you do it, you never call them”
“It’s not about having a date. It’s just fun to talk to girls. I never really did it outside of college” you shrug your shoulders.
You never call them because the thought of being with someone who isn’t Wanda is simply absurd.
But you don’t expect Yelena to understand it.
“I never ask for a car because then she’d be like See, I was right, a motorcycle was a bad idea”
“Get both, like your sister”
“No, because then she’ll say I’m copying her, like when she went to school with a green backpack and I got one that was similar the next day. But green has always been my favorite color” she rambles.
“Are all the Romanoffs this complicated?”
"Is your music taste always this random?" Yelena points at the screen. "Yesterday it was ABBA and now it's Metallica"
"Don't even think about changing it" you say, slapping her hand away.
You finally get to the hospital, parking in your spot, which is one of the best ones in the entire facility.
Melina is trying to convince you to stay beyond your three month contract, and she’s not shying away from providing a life of luxury, with a penthouse and a fancy car included.
If it wasn’t because you’re busting your ass in the ER, you’d feel like a sugar baby.
“Go and check on the people waiting, I have to sign discharges and look at some post ops” you tell Yelena as soon as you walk in, and she nods.
“Morning, everyone” you greet the front desk. “Is Patrick ready for his recital today?”
“Yes, he’s very excited” Nurse Roman says.
“Well, as a doctor I don’t feel comfortable saying break a leg, so let’s just leave it at good luck”
“That sounds perfect to me, Doctor Y/L/N, thank you” the woman says. You’re smiling until you notice the frown on Peña’s face.
“Don’t look at me like that. Not my fault you keep betting on Shelton when he’s literally playing against Alcaraz”
“Shelton is the future of American tennis”
“I’m sorry, I can’t hear you over the resounding noise of your debt” you say, going back to the charts but keeping your palm open. You don’t look up until he gives up, putting a 20 in your hand. “Pleasure doing business with you, Peña. I’m so looking forward to Indian Wells and Miami back to back”
You don’t realise that Natasha is also at the front desk, signing a couple of discharge forms.
It’s been a month and you’re already friends with half the people who work here. Natasha’s glad, because it can be miserable to be isolated while you’re away from home.
The other side of her can’t help but feel really stupid too, because all this time she thought you were flirting and in reality, this is who you are with most people.
Now that’s a fast way to humble someone.
“Hi, Doctor Romanoff” you say, finally noticing her. “Ending your shift?”
“Yeah. How about you?”
“Starting a 48”
“Didn’t you just do one 12 hours ago?” she says.
“Yeah, but my brother and sister are coming over so I need the weekend off” you smile, actually excited. Natasha is probably one of the only people who could understand how good it is to reconnect with your siblings, but she’s been distant with you ever since you came to Boston.
So, you wish her a good day, and walk to the madness of the ER.
“Fuck my life, fuck it hard” you mutter when you notice who’s there. Ed Lorne, aka clown nurse. He’s a young one, practically fresh out of college and with an unhealthy obsession to behave like Patch Adams in that movie that always puts you to sleep (No disrespect to Robin Williams).
“Please tell me his shift is almost over” you plead to Yelena.
“Don’t be mean. He’s trying to make an impression”
“He already did and it’s a fucking awful one”
The fact that there’s no swear jar around has turned you into a sailor on leave. Not that you keep track, but if the twins could hear you, they’d be set for an Ivy League education.
Stop thinking about this, you mentally scold yourself, trying to breathe to settle that uncomfortable feeling at the pit of your stomach.
Yelena mistakes your frustrated sigh with a protest as Ed approaches you. Truthfully, it’s a bit of both.
“Top of the morning to you, Doctor Y/L/N” he says, removing an imaginary hat.
God, you’re gonna strangle him with a stethoscope.
“Guy in bed six has problems with urinating and I’m like well, more like ur-out of my bladder!”
“Boy, you’re really bringing the theater kid energy today, aren’t ya” you complain, ignoring Yelena’s smack on your arm.
“Why, thank you for noticing”
“No, that wasn’t a compliment. Check all of my post ops and medication, then fill out the medical records in the computer”
That should keep him busy for the next two hours and away from you.
“Evil” Yelena mumbles, but she’s laughing along.
You take care of a few people, ordering lab tests and other stuff that is quickly taken care of by the staff. It’s nice to have an ER that is never short on medical personnel.
You finish your exam on a patient just in time to get your daily call.
“Hello, Judas”
“Darcy!” you say, always with the same enthusiasm.
“I hate you” she repeats, every day since you left. Well, minus the first week. You didn’t have a phone at all. “Carol hates you too and you’re no longer invited to her wedding”
You can faintly hear Carol’s voice in the background, shouting that what Darcy’s saying is not true.
“I’m trying to get her to come back” Darcy explains. “Look pal, it’s either the good way or the bad way aka getting you in the Psych ward until you go back to your senses”
“I don’t suppose you could get my stuff and send it over?”
“No, for two reasons. One, if I see Wanda I’m going to kill her and dos, you belong here. So it would be stupid to send stuff that you’ll need when you’re back. Besides, how do you know Wanda didn’t throw them away?”
“I just do. Ok, it was nice being emotionally manipulated by you, but I gotta scrub in. Same time on Monday? Remember I’m seeing Zach and Jenny this weekend”
“Yes, get me all the deets on the gossip and yes, same time”
“Love you, pal”
“Screw you”
Darcy hangs up, but stares at her phone for a moment longer. She does miss you and even if she’s giving you shit for it, she understands where you’re coming from.
“Are these the CVs for Chief Fury?”
“Yes” his secretary says, carrying a couple of files. “He doesn’t like to read on the computer”
“Oh, here, I’ll take those”
And Darcy does take them. Straight to the trash can.
Gotta make sure the job’s open when you come back.
You’re out of shape. It’s been 27 hours and the work keeps on coming. It doesn’t help that Boston is so much bigger than Westview.
As you sit in one of the front desks, looking over paperwork and lab results, Ed comes in, holding a deck of cards.
“Pick a card”
“Did you get the lab results for Mrs. Pattmore?” you say, resisting the urge to slap the deck to the floor.
“No, they said it would take another hour…”
“Can you check again? Thank you”
Fortunately, he leaves and you sigh.
“He’s quite the character” a man shows up next to you, and you nod.
“He is very useful when I need urgent results from the lab. The technicians can’t stand him so they rather not see him around” you laugh.
“I haven’t seen you before. I’m doctor Stephen Strange. Yes, that is my last name” he adds when you frown.
“Oh, nice to meet you. Yeah, I’m the interim Head of Trauma. Just until they find someone new”
“Huh. Not what I heard”
Well, there’s no way Melina will convince you to stay. But then again… you never thought you’d take the job in Boston.
“That’s definitely my plan” you assure him. “Were you on break?”
“Honeymoon. We just got back” he nods towards another woman who joins you, her smile wide. “Doctor Christine Palmer, meet… sorry, I didn’t get your name”
“Y/L Y/L/N. Congratulations to the both of you” you shake her hand.
“Thank you, how are you liking it here so far?”
“Everyone’s great” you say, but Christine catches your exhaustion.
“Lorne was just here asking to do a magic trick”
“Ah. That” she nods.
“Yeah” you get paged, and then wave at them. “See you around, and welcome back”
There’s a man coming in with a stab wound. Another shift from your work in Stark Hospital; the frequency of people who come in as a result of fights is a lot higher.
It was very rare to treat these kind of things in Westview.
“BP 130/70, no external bleeding or fractures” Yelena says and you nod, encouraging her to continue. “I want a chest X-Ray, transthoracic echocardiogram and blood work”
“The patient’s yours, Doctor Belova”
You’re honestly impressed. Yelena has been putting the work, and she’s very talented, especially while working under pressure.
“She has a good teacher” Melina speaks. The woman has a talent for knowing what people are thinking.
“Well, it’s in her blood, isn’t it? The whole Romanoff dinasty”
“Yes. By the way, this is your last patient. You’re not to be on call for so many hours in a week. The workload is very different here. And we will talk about a bonus so you can buy something to that girlfriend of yours to thank her for letting you be here”
About that.
Nobody knows Wanda kicked you out.
Except Yelena, but that’s because she kept asking about what Wanda said when you decided to come to Boston. The only way to shut her up was by telling her the truth.
It’s impressive that she’s kept the secret for so long.
“No need for a bonus, I’m doing my job as usual”
While you wait for the results of Yelena’s patient, the man begins to complain about pain between the shoulder blades.
“Lorne, book an OR and page Yelena” you say, knowing that’s a bad sign.
The blonde scrubs in as you begin the laparoscopy.
“What’s wrong? I’m still waiting on the results” she says, standing next to you.
“Pain between the shoulder blades is not a good sign for this type of injury. I’m seeing blood cloths in the anterior surface of the stomach and the liver. We’re switching to a laparotomy”
You find three lacerations in the liver and one in the stomach. Well, Melina’s plan didn’t work; you’re staying here for a bit longer.
As you move to inspect the pericardium, you look at Yelena, asking if she sees anything.
“No, it’s fine. Aside from the diaphragmatic perforation”
“And how are we closing that?”
“Ethibond suture with pledget” she answers after a slight hesitation.
“You’ll do it and I’ll be watching” you nod, moving aside. Truth is, your shoulder is hurting. It’s the old injury combined with the extra workload.
“Need any help?” Natasha walks in, and you shake your head no.
“I thought your shift ended”
“Came to do some post ops, and Doctor Romanoff asked me to help so you could go home”
“I’m fine” you lie. But Natasha stays in the OR, looking over Yelena’s shoulder.
“You’re making me nervous”
“Good. You could use some pressure. Y/N’s going soft on you” the redhead teases.
“I’m not!” you say, laughing. “I’ve been told I’m a great teacher”
“I’ve heard” Natasha nods.
Though Yelena takes a little bit longer than you would have, her work is excellent. Once you check everything’s done, you give the team instructions and scrub out.
“What are you doing with your siblings?” Natasha asks, joining you.
“Well, Jenny’s looking at NYU to apply. So I’ll meet them in New York, take them to a Broadway show. I was hoping they’d wanna go to the Met but not holding my breath for two teenagers to choose a museum”
“That’s fair. Have fun with your family” she smiles.
It’s weird to think about them as your family. They are, of course.
But to you, family is an entirely different group of people. One that you’ll never see again.
“Thanks. See you around” you nod, hoping to get some rest.
You never thought you’d be eager to see your family, but here you are, waiting in the airport, looking for Jenny.
As soon as she spots you, she runs towards you.
“Hey, kiddo”
“Make room for me” Zach says, jumping right in and making sure his sister has no room to breathe.
“You’re so annoying!” Jenny complains. Even if she’s three years older, Zach is a lot taller, being in that awkward teenage phase. “This trip was supposed to be just me”
“Y/N invited me” he says.
Well, kinda. He inserted himself in your conversations with Jenny, and as soon as he heard the words weekend in New York, he was ready to go.
“Well, I didn’t alter my girls weekend schedule for you, Zach. So just so you know, you’re getting a manicure and we’re plucking your eyebrows” you tease, walking them to where you parked. Of course they argue over who gets to ride in the front. “Alright, this is a rental. So, rule number one, no eating in the car. No throwing stuff at each other. No feet on the dashboard. And no one changes the music”
“Fine” they agree.
“First stop, the penthouse, then NYU”
Melina had heard about your trip and went out of her way to offer you everything at her disposal. Exclusive tickets, the Romanoff penthouse (apparently they have one in every major city), a reservation in a very nice restaurant.
You took most things happily. In a way, this is your compensation for emotional damages.
“So, what happened between you and Wanda?” Jenny says.
“Wow, can we at least have lunch first?” you accidentally hit the brake, making Zach hit his head against the headrest of your seat.
“I’m blind!”
“You’re fine” Jenny shushes him, turning to you. “I’ll tell you about our parent’s divorce”
“Ugh, deal. But you go first”
So, as you get food, Jenny tells you everything, with the occasional intervention from Zach. It’s nothing exciting, not technically. Their father finally realising your mother is an evil witch and taking their children away from her. It would have been ideal to do it when they were younger, but whatever.
“And you guys are doing good?” you ask, making sure things are better.
“Yeah… I just feel bad for her sometimes” Jenny admits. “Like what if she’s lonely or sad, you know?”
“That’s because you’re a good kid” you smile at her. “Let’s go get changed, we have to be ready for your college tour soon”
“What about your part of the deal?”
“Later” you say, trying to avoid talking about it.
By the time you reach the penthouse, you can’t help but admire the view to Central Park. It’s even bigger than the one they gave to you back in Boston.
“I want the biggest room” Zach says as soon as they drop their bags.
Of course, they’re engaging in a fight that involves some name calling and a lot of finger flicks on the forehead.
“You guys are worse than…”
They turn to look at you and you smile, trying to keep it together.
“Worse than…” Zach says but you shake your head.
“Nothing. Come on, better change fast”
Worse than Wanda and Pietro.
Will you ever stop thinking about her?
Earning the title of cool sister only takes a borrowed penthouse, Broadway tickets and exclusive seats at Yankees Stadium.
It’s day two and though you haven’t been able to convince them to go to the Met, you’re still enjoying yourself.
Kind of.
“So how long do these last?” you ask again, even if Zach explained the rules a dozen times already. “Ok, next time we’re going to the US Open because at least I’ll understand the game”
“So, you’re planning on staying here?” Jenny asks and you shrug your shoulders.
“There’s no plan for anything, really. I have two months left on my contract”
Zach goes to get more food and you keep watching the game in silence.
“Are you ok?” Jenny asks. Truthfully, though you’ve enjoyed spending time with them, Wanda’s been in the back of your mind more frequently than when you’re busy with work.
You can’t help but think about all the trips you never took with her, or wonder what she’d think about the city.
“Want the grown up answer or the big sister being brave answer?”
“I’d like the truth”
“Well…” you take a deep breath. “I’m not ok. I fucked up big time. I had everything I wanted within reach and just… I don’t know. Maybe it was never meant for me. It was too good”
“You are good enough for it, come on. Don’t say that”
“It’s hard to believe it when I hurt her so much. And the kids. But, it is what it is I guess”
“I’m sorry. If you wanna talk…”
“I know, sis. Thanks” you smile at her. All of the sudden you hear the crowd roaring and look up to see a ball that’s coming straight your way. You catch it, thinking nothing of it, while some people around you begin to speak to you. “What? Do I have to throw it back?”
“Are you insane?” Zach comes out of nowhere, taking it from you. “This is the coolest thing!”
“It’s a ball” you say, looking at the field.
“Nu-uh. It’s Camarena’s 50th home run. You know, the most promising baseball player of the season”
“Ok, if you say so”
Turns out it is a very big deal, as the player wants the ball back and is offering to meet you in exchange for it. You let Zach decide for the two of you, and his answer is an excited yes.
So, you take a couple of pictures and thank him when he hands you a signed baseball bat.
“Thanks, Carme…”
“Camarena” Zach elbows you. “I’m your biggest fan”
Yeah, you definitely earned the award to coolest sister, and it had nothing to do with all the money you spent. It came down to your ability to catch a freakin ball, like a competition with a golden retriever.
“We still have some time before we have to take the plane. What do you wanna do? You’ve been doing everything we want to” Jenny says, and you think about it.
“Let’s have a picnic in Central Park”
“Sounds fun” she agrees, while Zach keeps taking a million pictures of the bat.
As you walk around the park, you find something that unlocks a memory that was totally lost on you.
“Balto!” you point at a statue of the sleigh dog. They both look at you with blank expressions. “You’ve never seen Balto? Seriously?”
“I don’t know. Mom wouldn’t let us watch some stuff. She said it was silly to have a movie with speaking animals”
“That and Ghostbusters. But we never learned why”
“Oh, that’s because she and dad watched that movie on the day I was born” you explain while you pull out your phone to take a picture of the statue.
“Mom is such a bitch” Zach mutters and it makes you laugh.
“Come on, kid. Screw the picnic, I’m buying you the biggest burger we can find”
“See? I’m her favorite already” he teases Jenny and they begin to argue again. You hug them, staying in the middle to prevent a fight.
“Love ya both, kiddos”
Coming back to an empty house stings a bit more when you spent the weekend surrounded by playful banter and pleasant company.
The silence is unbearable and you know that at moments like this there’s only one thing that can make you forget.
So, even if you have to go to work tomorrow, you get changed and head for the usual club.
“Thought you found a better spot” Laura greets you as you approach the bar.
“Work was crazy” is all you say. No one knows your name, or what you do for a living. You just get drinks and dance to loud music.
“The usual?” you nod, accepting the glass of scotch. You enjoy it slowly for a bit, watching as some people dance and party. The outfits and the music are different from your time in college; plus Darcy and you used to go to shitty bars.
Either way, what hasn’t changed is how drunk people act; messy, unaware. You love it. No one’s asking if you’re ok, or why you're there.
“I was gonna buy you a drink, but you’re not done with that one yet” a woman offers with a flirty smile.
You finish what’s left of the scotch in one swift motion, and wink at her.
“There”
“Are you that thirsty, huh?” she teases, and you laugh, sipping from the new glass. “I’m Eve. You?”
“I’m… really thankful for my drink, Eve” you say, because you’re never gonna share your name with anyone else. “Wanna dance?”
The woman rolls her eyes, but follows you to the dance floor. It’s the perfect place to get lost, and avoid any conversation. The music’s loud, there’s people everywhere and you can simply disappear when you’re done.
It’s what you do best, isn’t it?
As you go out for another drink, there’s an impulse to talk to Laura.
“That was the name of a friend”
“What?”
“Laura. Well, not my friend. My ex girlfriend’s friend”
That’s about everything they have in common. This woman is covered in tattoos and has dark hair, styled in a mullet. Very Joan Jett, which is every girl’s type.
But my type is Wanda.
“Is that why you drink until I have to call you a cab?” Laura says, and you nod, taking a shot of tequila and asking for another one.
“Yeah. Come on, just one more” you plea when she’s doubting about giving you a third one. You pout and Laura rolls her eyes. “Thank you. Ah, I love this song!”
You blow her a kiss, running back to the dance floor. Wait, no, you don’t even know this song but it’s cool anyway.
And then the next one is good enough, until you’re a bit too drunk and have no idea what’s playing.
“Can I buy you a drink?”
To your disappointment, it’s a man.
“I’m fine!”
“Yes, you are” he says, putting his arm around your waist.
“I’m gay, dude. Stop it!” you push him away.
“Come on, you just need a good di…”
He doesn’t get to finish his sentence, not when your fist crashes against his nose.
Stupid move, as he’s tumbling to the floor, creating a commotion. You can tell he’s pissed when he stands up, but he never even gets to yell at you, because someone is pulling you back until you’re out of sight.
“You really are trouble” Laura tsks and you try not to laugh.
“He was an asshole”
“Yeah, he is. If it were up to me he wouldn’t go in at all. I have to get back to the bar. Stay here, drink some water. Then I’ll call you a cab”
“I’m sorry” you say, reaching for her when she walks past you.
“That girl did a number on you, huh?”
“I only have myself to blame” you smile sadly. “Thanks for the help”
Following the woman’s advice, you walk around the room, drinking some water and breathing to gather yourself. You’re vaguely aware of the pain in your hand, and remember that it was stupid to risk yourself that way.
If you can’t operate, Melina’s kicking your ass.
After a while, Laura comes back.
“Car’s waiting”
“Thanks… I owe you...”
“A cup of coffee”
You’re about to protest when she rolls her eyes.
“Not as a date. You have too many issues for me to handle. But I’d rather we stop meeting like this, with you starting a bar fight”
“Yeah, that’s fair” you smile, looking back before leaving the room. “My name’s Y/N, by the way”
“Nice to meet you, Y/N”
Stupid, stupid, stupid.
That’s all you can think about as you get ready for a 24 hour shift, sporting a massive headache and hangover.
You’re leaning against the elevator when the doors open, and you speak without opening your eyes, handing the keys of the car to Yelena.
“You’re gonna have to drive me today”
“Yelena already left”
You look up a little too fast, eyes meeting Natasha’s.
“Ah, jeez” you complain, feeling your head pound with the sudden movement.
“Rough night?” she says with a mocking tone, but then pays attention to your bruised knuckles, taking your hand. “What the hell? Are you ok?”
“Dude thought he could touch me and get away with it. It’s fine” you promise, though she doesn’t let go of your hand.
“You know mom’s gonna freak out when she sees this?”
“Don’t be a snitch, Romanoff” you say, stepping out of the elevator. “What are you doing?”
“Get in my car” she says, rolling her eyes. “You’re in no condition to drive”
“This is nice” you look around the Mercedes-Benz, reaching to touch the controls in the dashboard. Natasha slaps your hand away.
“Nicer than the Corvette?”
“Nah, let’s not get crazy”
“Did you have a nice weekend with the family?” she asks, rolling into conversation naturally.
“Yeah, we went to see Wicked because Jenny wanted to, then to a Yankees game where I caught the ball, which is apparently a big deal”
“It is, congrats”
“They made me buy some clothes that are not scrubs or…”
“Mini skirts? Like the one you wore last night”
“How did you…”
“My penthouse is in the same building, remember? Same as Yelena’s. Mom was smart enough to get a house away from everyone”
“Right”
“Doesn’t Wanda mind?”
That shuts you up real fast. And honestly? You don’t feel like lying. But as you’re about to answer her, she stops in the parking lot.
“Sorry, it’s none of my business” she mistakes your silence with annoyance.
“No, that’s not it” you explain, but then your phone pings. It’s a message from Jenny, sending you the Instagram post she made for the weekend in New York.
J: You made it to the gram!
Youths. You don’t even have instagram but click the link nonetheless. Yeah, those are nice pictures.
“Oh, you two came together?” Melina greets when she meets you in the hallway.
“Y/N can explain why” Natasha smirks and you glare at her.
“I was just feeling tired after the family trip”
“Natalia, who will be your plus one to the gala?” Melina changes the subject abruptly.
“I’m not taking anyone”
You direct your attention back to your phone, knowing they’re about to argue.
As you swipe through the pictures, a name catches your eye.
w.maximoff
What?
Does Wanda follow your sister?
She saw the pictures and liked them? Even if you were in them?
Don’t be an idiot, don’t think this means anything, she hates you, she’s better off without you.
The sudden urge to throw up has nothing to do with your hangover. You look around the hallway, and feel the desire to turn around and beg her to take you back.
You miss her too much, you can’t do this without Wanda.
Who are you kidding?
“Take Y/N” you hear all of the sudden.
“What?”
“Take Y/N to the gala with you” Melina decides, making Natasha roll her eyes.
“She doesn’t want to…”
“Yes. I’ll go” you interrupt Natasha.
Anything, anything at all to stop thinking about the one person who made your life worth living.
“Then it’s settled” your boss nods, pleased.
“Excuse me” you walk away, hoping there’s a ton of work that can keep your mind off everything else.
There is, and you’re grateful for the distraction it provides.
“I’m exhausted. How are you managing with a hangover?” Yelena complains after a few hours.
“Get some rest,” you mutter, looking at the lab results. “The OR won’t be ready for another hour anyway”
Unfortunately, it gets very slow as the day progresses. Everyone in the hospital is focused on a kidney transplant that is happening next week.
You see a woman walk in with her son to the ER and approach them.
“Hello, I’m Doctor Y/L/N. How can I help you?”
“Hi, yes. My son fell and I’m not sure, I think he might have hurt his wrist”
You turn to look at the kid, who is probably ten or eleven, and he looks back at you scared.
“I understand. What’s your name?”
“Kyle”
“Hi, Kyle. I’m Y/L. Can I take a look at your wrist?”
It takes him a moment to nod, but once he does you take him to one of the hospital beds where he sits. As you put on a pair of gloves, he looks around, clearly nervous.
“Cool shirt” you make conversation, noticing his Yoshi shirt. “My favorite is Rainbow Road, but the best time I ever did was on Vanilla Lake”
“Really? My favorite is Koopa Troopa Beach”
“That’s a good one” you agree, applying pressure on his wrist. “Ok, I don’t think anything’s broken but we need an X-ray to confirm. I’ll walk you there, it will take a minute”
Thankfully, it’s just a sprain.
“You’ll just wear a brace for a week, I’m also sending some medication for pain. Now, you’re gonna have to hold up on playing Mario Kart for a bit, as the movement isn’t good for your hand. Take it easy and if there’s any more discomfort or pain, come back to the hospital”
“Thank you” the woman nods, relieved that it’s nothing major. You’re about to say goodbye when her son hugs you.
“Take care, kid”
As you watch them walk away, your mind goes back to Billy and Tommy.
You miss them so much.
“Everything ok?” Yelena asks when you leave in a rush, walking towards the stairs.
Instead of answering her, you go down the steps, until you push the emergency exit, breathing heavily.
Don’t cry at work, don’t cry at work.
It’s not working. You squeeze your eyes shot, pinching the bridge of your nose.
A sob leaves your lips the minute Yelena catches up with you.
“It’s ok. I’m here” she says, hugging you.
“I miss them”
“I know. I’m sorry” is all she says, allowing you to cry as you lean your head on her shoulder.
“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t be…” you finally gather yourself, wiping away the tears. Your face is hot with the embarrassment of being so emotional in front of Yelena.
“I understand. There’s nothing to be sorry about. Come on, you should get some sleep. I’ll cover the ER for a bit”
“Ok” you nod. But she still follows you to the break room, and as you lay in bed, Yelena makes small talk, asking about your trip and telling you some funny things that used to happen to her and Natasha when their mother would leave them to roam the city while she had board meetings.
As she tells you about her favorite things from the Met, your eyes feel heavy and you fall asleep, exhausted.
The younger woman looks at you, feeling a bit guilty. She understands that everyone in this situation is an adult, and sometimes relationships don’t work.
But it’s still hard to see you so heartbroken and lonely.
“Hey” Natasha walks in the room, and Yelena shushes her, leaning her head towards you. “Is she ok?”
“I don’t know” the blonde admits, closing the door behind her.  “What’s up?”
“Mom told me you’re bringing a plus one to the gala! I thought we agreed no dates for this one”
“Oh, yeah…” Yelena blushes, and Natasha tilts her head.
“Who is it?”
“So, what are you doing? Should we find you a date?” Yelena rushes to change the subject, walking with her sister to the cafeteria.
“No, Y/N volunteered. Or, my mother kinda forced her to”
“Maybe it will be good to have a distraction. She’s having a rough time”
Natasha stays silent as they get some food. To be honest, she has been distant with you. It was hard to get close again after all the hard words you exchanged.
Natasha was just trying to protect herself.
“So you’re not gonna tell me who it is?” Natasha insists after a moment of silence. Yelena laughs, shaking her head.
“You’ll find out soon enough”
You open your eyes to the sound of your pager. The OR was busy for longer than anticipated and you’re about to go and check if everyone’s ready.
While you yawn, you dial Yelena’s number.
“Hello?” you hear Natasha’s voice.
“Why are you answering Yelena’s phone?” you say, doble checking that you indeed called her sister.
“Oh, crap. I took her phone by accident”
“Hey” you step out of the room, and find none other than Natasha, ready to leave for the day. “Guess your mother bought these phones in bulk”
You show her the mobile Melina gave you, though you insisted in keeping your number. It’s identical to Yelena’s and Natasha’s and every head of department has one as well.
“Heads up, she might be tracking your location”
“What? Can she do that?” you say, shaking the phone. Natasha smiles at that.
She forgets not everyone is expecting the worst from Melina.
“I better go and exchange phones with Yelena” the redhead says.
“Sure, can you tell her that the OR’s ready? Thanks”
You leave, but then Natasha’s voice stops you.
“Do you wanna do something tomorrow?”
There’s a hint of shock in your face, but you nod and smile.
“Yeah, sure. Wanna come over to watch a movie?”
“Sounds good” she agrees.
“Alright. See ya then” you wave goodbye.
Between this and the gala, Natasha doesn’t know if it’s a good idea to spend so much time together.
She’s about to find out.
Natasha is questioning her choices as she knocks on your door, thinking it might be unwise to spend alone time with you.
She had felt like you both got some closure after the emergency surgery on that woman. And then, one week later you had shown up at her hospital, as if you hadn’t refused the offer a number of times.
As if the thought of leaving your precious girlfriend behind wasn’t the craziest thing in the world.
“Hey, come on in” you greet, opening for her.
“Love what you’ve done with the place” she teases, watching as the only real decoration is a Polaroid picture of you and Yelena that is taped to the fridge.
“I’m happy this thing came with furniture or we’d be having dinner on the floor”
“Martha Stewart would be proud” she says and you roll your eyes.
“Come on, food will be ready in a bit” you say, asking her to open the bottle of wine.
“Where’d you get it from?”  she asks as she hands you a glass.
“Uh, the grocery store?” you look back from the stove.
“Wait, you’re making it? From scratch?” she puts her glass down, looking over your shoulder.
“Well, not from scratch, it’s not like I made the pasta”
“I thought you didn’t cook”
“I didn’t” you smile, offering her a taste of the sauce. “But I got used to the finer things in life, like a good old homemade meal, and had to figure out how to get something done”
“This is actually really good” she says, surprised.
“I will give you a pass because I am also surprised that my cooking’s not so bad”
It must have been because you used to watch Wanda cooking all the time.
Ah, shit.
Maybe eventually you’ll go a day without thinking about her. Or not, and that’s your karma for being an idiot.
Once everything’s ready, you pull out two plates, and serve the food.
“What do you wanna watch?”
“Not sure, could we eat first?”
“Why, want to check that I won’t give you food poisoning?” you joke, but Natasha doesn’t laugh. “Oh, come on! I’ve never gotten sick and it’s been a month!”
“Let’s just eat”
“Fine, are you sure you’re gonna be ok talking to me? You’ve been avoiding me since I arrived in Boston” you comment, though you can’t be mad at her.
It was easier to blame her for your screw up that own up to it. You’re not particularly proud of it.
“I wasn’t sure if your girlfriend would give you shit for talking to me”
“We’re not together anymore” you blurt out, making Natasha stop chewing.
“You’re shitting me”
“She broke up with me” you shrug your shoulders. “So I quit my job and ran away like the asshole I am”
There’s a beat of silence, and you keep eating. You’re not expecting anything from Natasha, like pity or words of comfort. It’s just the way things are.
“I had no idea… I’m sorry. I feel responsible”
“Nat, don’t. Honestly, you weren’t wrong. I am attracted to you, and I didn’t set boundaries. If anything, I’m sorry for being a jerk and ruining our friendship”
She keeps eating quietly, and you know that she accepted the apology without making a fuss about it.
“Crazy, stupid love” you mumble after a couple of minutes.
“Yeah, I guess it can be”
“No” you snort out a laugh. “I mean that’s the movie I wanna watch!”
“Oh, I don’t know it” Natasha rolls her eyes.
“Of course not, it’s not a Bond movie. Come on, now that you’ve seen my food won’t take you to the ER, let’s get everything ready” you say, picking up the dishes. Maybe you’ll make popcorn, even though you are full.
“Wait a minute” Natasha says, and when you turn around, she’s got you cornered against the kitchen counter.
“Huh?”
“You said you are attracted to me. Not were. So you still are” she smirks, eyeing you up and down.
“Well, yeah. Have you seen yourself?” you stutter. It’s not helping that you’ve gotten used to physical intimacy and you’ve been craving it for the past weeks.
But that makes you think of Wanda again.
“I just… you deserve more than being a rebound, Natasha. And I am serious when I say I’m not staying beyond my contract”
You know you can’t be someone who isn’t heartbroken and in love with Wanda. But you can at least be honest about it.
“I know. It’s just fun to watch you get all flustered” she says with a sultry voice.
“Not funny” you say, pushing her away.
“Let’s watch that silly, corny movie now” Natasha rolls her eyes.
“You’re gonna love it”
“Doubt it”
As you suspect, she’s critizing Cal at every possible turn, calling him a loser. She’s also constantly texting about the hospital in between complaints.
“Hey!” she protests when you snatch her phone.
“I know we’re both workaholics, but you’re missing the parts with Emma Stone which are arguably the best ones. And this big reveal will blow your mind”
So, you put both of your phones down in the coffee table and take it as a win when she’s laughing at some of the moments in the film.
“Hannah is Cal’s daughter?” Natasha screams when you get to that scene.
“See?”
“Damn!”
“Bathroom break” you announce a while later, leaving the movie playing as you know the dialogues.
Natasha is actually interested in the movie when her phone rings and she picks up without looking away from the screen.
“Hello?”
She’s met with silence, which makes her actually pay attention to whoever called her.
Shit.
Wanda.
She took your phone.
But before she can explain or tell the other woman to wait, the call disconnects.
“What’s wrong?” you say when you return, sitting next to Natasha. “I know it’s sad, but I promise it has a happy ending”
“Y/N, I’m so sorry”
“Nat, you’re scaring me”
“I thought it was my phone, I picked it up. Wanda called you” Natasha says, handing over the phone to you.
“Oh” you tilt your head, shocked. “What did she say?”
“Nothing. She hung up. I’m so sorry”
“Well, maybe she just wanted me to get my stuff. That’s the only reason she’d call me, honestly” you say, returning to the movie.
“Why aren’t you freaking out?” Natasha insists.
“I don’t know” you confess. Maybe you’re in shock. It feels surreal to have Wanda call you, after everything she said to you.
You left your old phone at Darcy’s house before jumping on a plane. You only got your old number back after Melina gave you one of those fancy phones.
Now you wonder if she ever tried to call you.
“I should go”
“And leave me to drown in obsessive thoughts?” you say dramatically. “Look, what’s the harm here? That she’ll think the worst of me, and then what? We broke up. She kicked me out, I’m gone like Wanda asked me to. I’ll just text Pietro and ask if the kids are ok”
That was your real concern. You had a feeling that it could be a mistake or something very serious. And you’d always put your pride aside for the sake of the kids.
“We’re watching a horror movie now” Natasha snatches the remote as soon as the credits roll, looking for Insidious. “That will distract you for sure”
“You’re evil” you say when Natasha walks out, laughing.
“And you’re a baby”
“There was a demon! Sewing while that creepy song played. You’re sick, Romanoff”
“Sweet dreams, Y/N” she says, whistling the song as she closes the door.
Now you won’t be able to sleep.
But there’s also another thing in the back of your mind.
Pietro hasn’t answered which can mean that it Wanda's call was a mistake and he’s choosing to ignore you.
Or something so monumentally horrible happened that he doesn’t even have his phone on him.
“Fuck it” you say, trying to control your breathing as you dial back.
You begin to feel like an idiot, especially when it’s pretty obvious Wanda won’t pick up the phone.
Hands squeeze the device as you deal with the disappointment. You are about to hang up when you hear it.
Wanda, saying your name.
And for a moment, you feel like everything’s ok again.

kuroo tetsurou and you did not have lots of interactions, usually.
so you were more than surprised when he turned to you during chemistry class and looked at you through the tuft of black hair falling into his eyes and let out a string of words that seemingly made no sense to you. his gaze cast away, a certain air of embarrassment hanging in the air when you didn’t answer, and he turned away, mumbling to himself.
“wait, did you just compare me to acid?”
“no, not acid— more like…the reaction is just so explosive, like us—  i mean, just us as in people, or like—” he breathed out carefully, and then shook his head at himself, laughter stealing itself to his voice as he rubbed his jaw, “never mind. i already fucked it up.”
now, you were not the brightest person in this world, but you could smell a butchered pick up line from a mile away. and the way kuroo tetsurou rested his chin on the inside of his hand, fingers covering his temple, effectively shielding his face from you, with the faintest of pink covering his ears, told you just how secretly embarrassed he was.
kuroo was cute, you thought.
it didn’t take a miracle for you to come to the conclusion, especially not when you were used to hearing his loud voice boom through the class during the breaks. he was the one trying to keep some class-visiting friends in line, naturally assuming the leading role to hush them down, blissfully unaware at the same amount of loud energy he was returning.  he also didn’t escape you when he tried coaxing his blonde friend to eat more, offering to share his food only to try to bait him into taking it instead, when he got rejected.
you didn’t interact often, but kuroo tetsurou’s presence was hard to miss and the tiny flutter of your heart in response to noticing him hard to ignore.
“so,” you leaned a little over to him, and subconsciously, he had already started to accommodate you, lowering his head to catch your voice, “if you had to guess and we were, say, a chemical compound, would we be stable or unstable?”
his eyes lit up, a sly little look overtaking the embarrassment despite the little blush on his cheeks, and you could see his mouth curving up into a little grin, entirely too comfortable to walk the line between smooth-talking and sounding like the biggest nerd you had the fortunate luck of sharing seats with, “good question. we’d probably be unstable.”
oh.
you already felt your blood rushing to cover your skin in an embarrassed hue of red because you thought you were slick with that one. unstable? humiliating— but then he continued talking.
“but in a good way, you know? like, when two elements are drawn together, even if it’s turbulent. a little bit of controlled chaos makes things exciting, right?”
he looked at you with what was supposed to be a lazy smirk, though it wobbled with slight nervosity. one finger of his tried to brush away his fringe of hair, but the black strands fell back onto his face almost effortlessly. he really was cute, and for a split second you wondered the type of kisser he would be.
“so, like sodium and water?”
“okay, hold,” he held up a hand, trying to keep his expression in check (and failing to do so), “maybe not that exciting. that’s a little too dangerous, though it’s nice to know you like me that much.”
you nudged his shoulder away from you at the cheesiness, body straightening up again and an eye roll escaped you though you were anything but annoyed. if anything, you were a little charmed by the cowlicked hair, his eyes trained on you and the slight smile that didn’t know whether it should make fun of you or flirt with you.
maybe he could do both.
you then decided to just try your luck because there was no way he tried to actually flirt with you using chemistry if he wasn’t at least the least bit interested, right?
“yeah, yeah. maybe you should teach me some of that.”
he stared for a little while, silent and stumped (because it worked? holy—), though when he turned back to look back to the front of the class, you noticed the small, secret movement of him fist pumping the air and the stifled smile threatening to overtake his features.
(after class, you definitely didn’t overhear kuroo tetsurou whisper-yelling that you didn’t deny liking him, only for him to act all cool about it in the same minute.
as if it was only natural for it to happen, he kept flexing his arms and striking ridiculous poses at the prospect that you supposedly were only one hair width away from being wooed by him.
his blonde-haired friend did not seem impressed. at all.)
