in love with how vermillion is used for Yuka's design and how it symbolizes them as a character, their love both protects and hurts them the same way vermillion is beautiful and poisonous. i'm not sure what the significance is for their scarf and jacket, but in the scene where Yatora calls them they wear all red on their dress, nails, and lipstick, there's also black lacing on the dress which is also one of their emblems (i.e being used to represent their love when they talk to yatora about their break up) idk i just think it's super neat
#🍊fruit.posts🏀#blue period#ryuji ayukawa#also i use the word 'love' in a non-romantic context in case that needs to be known#i just couldn't find a better word because yuka's conflict extends from 'desire/like/interest/passion'#because all of those implies something theyre doing or want to do#when it's more of an aspect of who they are as a person#anyways i wonder if this parallels with the 'blue' theme for yatora? i only watched the anime and im making my way to the manga#(its also art guide to me) and there are a LOT of details left out from the anime- plus i dont really know what blue means for yatora yet#so i'll just take my time to figure the characters out from the manga#!!! edited this post to replace ryuji with yuka because i didn't realize the significance of their name until i reread the manga
