Gonna be honest, i lose all respect for people who view Saiki as an alloromantic character. Did you watch the show with your eyes closed? Or is this some way for you to express your poorly disguised aphobia? Us aromantic and asexual people have almost zero representation. Why is everyone so pressed to take what little we have away? Or to invalidate our identities? Saiki has explicitly stated how he is disinterested in romance. This is something that does not change throughout the entire anime (I haven't read the manga, but from what I've seen, I don't believe he expresses any romantic attraction there either). People in this fandom are so terrified of a character that doesn't *want* to be in a romantic relationship. And I'm getting a real "he just needs fixing" vibe when people defend shipping him with Teruhashi or Satou or whomever. I wouldn't be so upset about this if we had any. Other. Representation. At all. For some reason people can't comprehend an aromantic person. It just makes me remember how ignored aromantics are in society. Every character that is disinterested in romance becomes one of the most shipped in the fandom because there's some sort of allure to "turning" someone who isn't interested. I don't want to sound like a "fandom cop" or like I'm complaining about pointless fandom drama, but I just get so angry and disappointed when people feel like aphobia is fine in fandoms. I would say more but I am genuinely upset by this and words aren't wording right lol
