What are Protective Hairstyles?!?! Braids Buns & Twists We protect her hair by combining it into a hairstyle that will protect our shaft and the tips of our hair. When you workout you put your hair in a ponytail but preferably a bun or braids. Why? Now there are different forms of hair extensions that are met for just styling, and it can be sewed, glued, tide and/ or braid it on.  How to take care and protect your Protective Styles. - Tie your hair up at night with a scarf or bonnet -Get professional maintenance on hair extensions, whether it's once a week or once a month. Depending on the style - Use the appropriate product to cleans and moisturizer your natural tresses - When washed and treated make sure scalp and hair is completely dry
