Hello, I hope this day is treating you well! I saw on another ask you recently watched hunter x hunter. I’d love to know your general thoughts on the show and who your fav character was.

i went into hunter x hunter expecting your typical shonen battle anime full of shonen tropes and was pleasantly surprised to find that this anime seemed to enjoy turning all of these tropes on its head.

there’s this big ass tournament that’s meant to decide if you’re a hunter or not, okay the main protagonist is actually gonna win by getting his ass kicked. there’s an edgy character with a tragic backstory who has the makings of going full sasuke and becoming a rival, nope, best friends til the end of time. a super long arc involving a hyper intense battle of overpowered dbz type characters that’s resolved by the villian embracing his humanity. i love it.

and obviously killua is the best character.
