This happened few days ago (7/22) when the president of the Republic of the Philippines delivered his State of the Nation Address(SONA). Since this is an important event, many of the police force were deployed to secure the location and prevent any demonstration or protest near the vicinity. In this picture Police Officer 1 Sevilla was being harassed by a foreigner by being asked : “Why are you doing this? Why are you hurting us?”, even though he is just standing there. He simply replied: “I am a policeman, I’m just doing my job.”
PO1 Sevilla tries to hold his tears but can’t. With no proper rest, no proper meal and a violent protest being dispersed violently and with extreme exhaustion, he still stood his ground.
Some protesters apparently noticed the crying cop and settled down. Some tried to console him as he tried hard to control his emotions and tears. Some protesters tapped his shoulders and offered him a handkerchief to wipe his tears.
He finally gave in to his urge and started to silently weep as another violent turmoil started in front of him.As another violent clash ensued, he stood his ground despite of some protesters throwing rocks and bottles.
Before he was removed from the front line, some protesters tried to protect him and hugged so that the other protesters wouldn’t harm him. After this incident, some people considered PO1 Sevilla as an example of humility, a seeker of peace and a loyal servant of justice.

"I’m the most sensitive person on the planet like, I could watch the news and cry. And so you got this amazing actor on top of you, pounding on your chest hysterical, crying, he’s got tears dripping onto my face and it was too much. And then I’m like "Okay, this is acting. He’s just— don’t cry. Just hold it together." and then I started to think "Oh my god. If I were dead, someone would probably be like really upset, probably. This is what it would be like. This is weird." and not being able to get a full breathe of air I had a panic attack." - Krysten Ritter at Jane’s death scene and Aaron’s performance
