the yellows are from dish detergent, the blues and purples (which kind of faded by the time I took my gloves off) are from ammonia and sodium carbonate solution, and the reds are from vinegar

the magentas came from hydrochloric acid, which literally steamed as I brushed it on with a q-tip

so there's a new fish (Branchiostegus sanae). it's named after San from Princess Mononoke because of its cheek stripes and I'm in love with the picture they used to illustrate this:
