It had been a long day for vash. No one on set was taking anything seriously, so it took longer to finish the episode, so he was extra glad to finally be home with you.

But when he got home, there was no dinner on the table. The tv was off and there weren't any lights on.

So he quietly toed off his boot, shook off his jacket and hung it, and made his way down to your shared room.

And he was greeted with a dim light, coming from under your door. He gently nudged it open, and there you sat on the bed, scrolling on your phone, in the dim lamp light.

He gently held your chin with his thumb and forefinger and delicately tilted your chin up, with a soft, warm smile. He lightly pressed a tender kiss to your forehead.

"Would you like to go see the stars?" He murmured.

You nodded, and took his hand.

You followed him to the front door, and he helped you out on your shoes and jacket, and he put on his again.

He walked you out to his motorcycle, and he put your helmet on then his.

He loved this routine that you usually did on the good weekends every month when you both had time off from work.

Then he started the engine as you held him tight, and he tool off down the road.

He hummed your favorite love songs, so you could feel the vibrations of his voice, cause he knew it soothed you.

After a little while, you arrived at an empty beach, so it was just you two. He turned off the bike and kicked down the stand, and moved you so you were sat in front of him.

He rested his chin on your shoulder as he held you protectively, as you both looked up to the starry sky.

He pointed to a bright Star, just a few feet to the right of the waxing crescent moon, that seemed to mimic the north star. "See that light that looks like a second north star?" He whispered.

You nodded.

"That's mercury." He murmured, then pointed to another one, that was almost behind you both. "See that?" He asked.

You nodded.

"That's venus." He murmured. And then he pointed to one that was a few feet above the actual north star. "And that's mars." He murmured.

Then he pointed to a brighter light that was a foot or two beneath the moon. "That right there, is Saturn." He cooed.

You smiled, admiring his knowledge of space. He had told you once, a long while ago, before you started dating, that he had loved it since he was a child.

He pointed to a bright star that was far to the left, just over the mountains. "That right there, is the Andromeda galaxy." He murmured.

You softly giggled. "How do you know all this stuff?" You asked. You already knew, but you enjoyed hearing him tell this story.

"When I was a kid..." He started.

You relaxed into him, resting your head back on his shoulder, and watching his facial expressions. Wonderment, curiosity, enthusiasm, love, joy, awe, and dedication and sharp as a blade focus.

It felt like the first time you fell in love with him, all over again.

It wasn't long till it was nearly 1 am, and you were half asleep as he drove you both home.
