FACTS!!! Hahaha this is the bad thing about this fandom, they rave a lot with their headcanons that they mix with the canon, and they swear that it is pure reality!!!.

I find it very unfair that you say that the Velaryon princes' only function was to die when they are the ones who did the most for their mother, Aegon and Viserys don't even seem to love her that much since they don't recognize her as queen even if they had years to do it, Jace would have been infinitely better king than these two and would have honored his mother's memory. Also it doesn't matter that they are not Laenor's biological children since he recognized them as his own, in Westeros there is no DNA testing. From a legal point of view they are legitimate and have the right to inherit since they are still Rhaenyra's children in any case, and the throne is inherited through her. Even Daemon seems to love his stepsons more and feel more proud of them, the fact of the dance that affected him the most was the death of Lucerys, in fact he died to avenge him, and we can see that Jace and Joffrey have a personality quite similar to his, which indicates that he spent a lot of time with them, the same cannot be said of his two biological sons. Some of you on Team Black have some very weird opinions about these guys and what they represent. Aegon and Viserys aren't any better than them at anything, but then again, they have silver hair.

Let me put everything in order so it's easier to understand.

Aegon iii and Viserys ii were doing this irrelevant and totally unimportant thing called "maintaining peace" after a brutal and devastating war where hundreds of thousands had already died. They also possessed this thing called common sense where they realized their very existence and survival ensured no one can forget Rhaenyra Targaryen.

Unless GRRM shared an AU story where he told you Jace was gonna be Jaehaerys 2.0, you can't gaurentee shite. Also, the guy who came up with the ridiculous "dragonseeds" plan which later ended up screwing his mother over is hardly the guy I'd call "infinitely better".

If you don't understand how monarchy works, just ask. I'll put it this way. Even today, you cannot be considered for succession if you were born out of wedlock. If you aren't trueborn (as in biologically related and born to an officially married couple), you are never going to be even considered a candidate for the Throne. Also, you cannot "legitimize" kids into families they aren't biologically related to. Laenor could only "adopt" them and guess what? Even today, the adoption still would not make them eligible for the Throne. It's not enough to just be born to Rhaenyra. Rhaenyra has to be officially married to the man who gave 50% DNA to her kids. Otherwise, they could be Aegon the conqueror + Jaehaerys combined come again, they are still entitled to nothing.

Idk man, something tells me Rhaenyra's dream baby would have been the one she had with the man she always wanted to marry. Last I checked, it wasn't Laenor or Harwin. You can say Rhaenyra always dreamt of birthing a bastard, alone and isolated with a gay husband that was never present and a secret lover that she couldn't let too close. But I'm not gonna believe you.

Rhaenyra made Jace heir because it's not like she could just openly admit, while she was being usurped, that she had 3 bastards. Just because she refused to acknowledge it, doesn't mean the truth doesn't exist. Hells Rhaenyra was a trueborn heir who had an official ceremony naming her heir and guess what, the Greens refused to acknowledge it. Just like their refusal to acknowledge doesn't erase the truth, Rhaenyra's refusal also does not erase facts.

Why couldn't the bastards dedicate their lives to doing something else instead of taking their brothers' rightful place? Why is the obligation only for Aegon iii and Viserys ii?

Do point out where it's written or even indicated that Daemon "finally had a son of his blood" Targaryen said he preferred his stepsons to his own.

Aegon III and Viserys ii don't have to be better, their dad had done the most important thing for their success already before their birth- MARRIED THEIR MOTHER.

Dude, please read the books. Do yourself this favor. Its genuinely a great book. I think you'll like it. And you might just happen to see Aegon iii as Rhaenyra's successor decided and done literally years before Fire and Blood came out. Like I said, Daemon was literally created so he could legally marry Rhaenyra and father her son. AEGON III LITERALLY CAME BEFORE DAEMON. Nevermind Jace, Luke, Joff, Harwin, Laenor, Laena and whatever else.

-Because I honestly don't think it's entirely related to misogyny that the Strong Boys are not included in certain AUs and the twins are, but rather related to the fact that they are very difficult to fit in being Daemon's legitimate children since they would have to change practically everything about them, they wouldn't be the same characters, they would have other names, another physical appearance, possibly another personality, they are characters that in my opinion have no place in any other scenario other than being Rhaenyra's bastard children with Harwin Strong as a result of her failed marriage to Laenor. And you are totally right it doesn't make any sense that their first children are named that way in the first place because they don't understand that the names of these children were put by corlys to "reaffirm " ( i call it fooling himself) that they are Velaryon, they are so obsessed with these children that they don't understand that these children are a danger to the existence of house targaryen itself, Perhaps these people see them as a sign of "change" since they do not have the physical characteristics of the Targaryens (they project themselves and want a dragon to feel powerful), and that because of them, Westeros would be a kingdom of love, peace and legitimized bastards. Sometimes don't you have the feeling that team black treats Aegon and Viserys worse than some greens? At least the latter recognize their importance and want to attribute them to their side, but in Team Black they are always put in little more than service to the Strong boys and the twins, always to highlight them and not Aegon and Viserys...It seems that they are destined to be celibate and never marry because they have to sacrifice themselves so that Baela and Jacaerys ascend to the throne in peace, or it seems that they have to thank Jace for having the throne and for continuing to breathe..as if he had done a kind of favor...When if he had lived he would have been left with the throne that should legitimately pass to Aegon...He didn't do it to secure Aegon's throne but his mother's and his own.

I know this is a controversial opinion...but rereading fire and blood...I don't know what to think of Rhaenyra as a mother regarding her younger sons 😅...I am very bothered by the lack of impact of Viserys's "death", when, in the other hand, her feeling for the loss of her other children is shown...or that she does not speak with affectionate words about Aegon or Viserys when she does about her other children, with the well-known "my sweet boys" I don't know... Sometimes I feel while reading the time we are told of Aegon being closer to his mother that he cared for her more than she cared for him, and believe me, I don't like having these ideas 😂 I was happier when I didn't realize these things. I also think that a large part of it is because it is not George's best book and that he sometimes fails to capture the emotions.

I have seen your opinions about the Strong boys and I honestly agree with them...but I would like to know what you think of the twins? Their fans also tend to exaggerate their importance, almost equating their contribution to the Targaryen dynasty with that of their younger brothers. I have even seen people say that Baela would inherit her father's sword and that she was his favorite child... based on the fact that they were similar in their way of acting (at least superficially) although sometimes in my opinion Daemon had a darkness that his daughter lacks. Aegon and Viserys are never mentioned in anything related to their parents...And I find it very strange, they are the children of many people's supposed favorite couple, but they are also much more, in many ways more complex characters than their parents and with their own story. My opinion of the twins is not bad like the one I have of the bastards, at least Baela did something right for her younger brothers (not like the bastards) and acted like a real older sister by bringing Viserys back and from what we know after the war she only went to KL to see how Aegon was doing since she never liked the court, and well Rhaena...... she is a 0 on the left her only contribution as you say being the last dragonrinder ahh and getting involved with the higthtower hahaha, which personally makes me very funny, although I consider that marriage a political movement suggested by baby viserys (I know that at that time he was no longer a baby but for me he will always be one).
