It has to be one of my favorite ongoing works in this fandom because the character development is immaculate 👌🏻 and I’m a simp for simp Alastor

ok i never say this but your work is incredible.

you are such a skilled, TALENTED writer i am literally awestruck. your prose, pacing, and just sheer MASTERY of how to communicate with the english language blows me away.

you never seem to cave in and let characters make up!! you let them make mistakes and be consequences!! you let them be human!

and yet you manage to keep so much of the vibe of hazbin (ie, Vox's suggested "va-va-voom")? and it's MATURE in a way the show fails but you dont??

i have gone and read practically every radioapple fic on ao3 worth anyone's salt and yours is by far one of the two best ones on there.

just wanted to express my utmost appreciation for you as a fellow writer

They are too complicated to have an easy path - and they're stubborn. I let them act as they would - so they keep clashing until something gives...

I am not writing a musical, which makes it easier to have a more serious tone, I think. The constraints of the medium are entirely different!

firsy of all, i need to scream just how much i love Ruination of Lucifer ! you inspire me with my own writing, i just love the way you use words and how descriptive you can be !

second, i was wondering: do you write the chapters between each update, or do you have it all written and it's just a matter of publishing it once a week/when you can ? 🤔

Well, I used to have an 8 chapter buffer but my laptop breaking meant I couldn't really write much for several weeks. I am writing inbetween updates, but am down to around 3 chapters that I have in reserve, which means I have to pick up the pace. I honestly dread running out of chapters to post, which is why I had to stop answering my comments temporarily - it takes away from much needed writing time. I also enjoy having a big buffer so I can edit the chapters as many times as I can to screen for potential plot holes, typos, awkward phrasing and the like. And yes, I post once a week to give myself time time to write more and keep the quality up. I don't know if I'll be able to keep up with the weekly updates at some point, and might have to go down to once every two weeks, but I'm still thinking about it.

We all know—and crave—the ocasional art pieces from Betti in your story. I was just wondering how you two crossed paths and how you came to agree on including their artwork in your story? I mean…the first Betti work is like only 3 chapters in or something like that.

Betti was one of my first commenters, actually! She reached out to me, asking if she could draw fanart, so we got to talking, and somehow we ended up in an artistic symbiosis, haha! I love collaborating with her, she is very open to my horrible nitpicking about detail that I sometimes have a hard time describing.

Other times, she completely surprises me and adds detail into her art that I didn't write in, but it's so visually stunning that my brain goes "Yes, this is correct, this is how it always should have been." Prime example is the marble fireplace in art for chapter 10. Oof. That masterpiece still gives me goosebumps - Alastor’s worshipful, slightly deranged look, the lighting... gods. Gets me every time.
