While in Austin for SxSW, I thought it'd be a great idea to celebrate International Women's Day 2014 by taking selfies with some of the women who inspire me and many others in tech and beyond.

Continuing the selfie series back in NY with some of my favorite people around! All three of these ladies (L to R: Sheena Medina, Lea Marino, & Meghan Peters) have been friends, mentors, and colleagues even before I moved to NY, and I couldn't be happier to work with them on #CMmeetup every month.
Oh, and yes, that is the Facebook Wall behind us :)

Finally got to meet Rachel Sklar! The founder of the #changetheratio movement, Rachel is one of the most inspiring and coolest people I met at SXSW. I've been a supporter from a far of her movement in the past, and now I'm thrilled to call her a friend, and have her involved in this little project.

I would give this rock star an intro, but I don't think I could do her justice. I'm just glad my selfie could help Randi Zuckerberg prepare for her Broadway debut in Rock of Ages :)
Btw, I heard she's awesome in it!

Had to get a selfie with my #MashCon karaoke partner, Jenny DeVaughn! Now a Sr. Director at ADP, Jenny is one of the most passionate and energetic people I've met in the digital space and leaves an impact on whoever she meets. And not to mention, she may have the most LinkedIn endorsements I've ever seen!

Leaning in with leanin's editor and advisor, Jessica Bennett! Jessica gave one of the most entertaining Q&A's I saw at SXSW, and I can't wait to work with her in the future to get more men and women involved with the Lean In campaign. #BanBossy

Say hello to Ashley Meyers (@ashleymmeyers) of Code for America! I'm a huge fan of what Ashley and her team are accomplishing over there and the impact they have on cities around the country. I'm sure we'll be hearing about Ashley and the CFA team quite a bit in the near future.

I owe a ton to this lovely lady right here. Hila Raz of Watchitoo always has me in mind when putting together an event or interview series, and it's an honor to be a part of anything she organizes. So, the least I can do here is highlight the amazing work she's done and continues to do! When live, I'll be sure to post a link to the interview series she helped put together at SxSW.

She does the internet. A woman who knows just about everyone worth knowing, amyvernon has been a close friend since I was making weekly bus trips from Temple University to NYC to meet the movers and shakers of social media. Lucky for me, Amy is one of THE ultimate movers and shakers around. Thanks for being a friend, Amy... See you back in NY :)

Disruptor. Rebel. Rock Star. Those are just three of the things that come to mind when describing Stephanie Bagley. Stephanie recently brought her talents over to Rebel Mouse and seems to still be on her path to taking over the world (or at least the world of digital). Not to mention, she is easily one of the nicest people I've met since moving to NY.

Fun fact: @tinayip was sitting across the table from me when I first came up with the idea for Operation: Social Santa. One of the most energetic and passionate people I've met in the space, I'm glad Tina's in my corner because she's going to make waves in New York and beyond for years to come. I look forward to saying "I knew her when..."

She may be a Dook alum, but I had to get a picture with Kate Hansen of FWD.US! As long as we don't talk college hoops, we'll be okay :)

One of the nicest people you'll meet, I'm proud to call Sharon Feder my friend and fellow social good champion. She's now the Chief Digital Officer at Watch Entertainment & Rachael Ray, and continues to make a difference. Great seeing you, Sharon!

Was awesome hanging out with fellow New Yorker and #Cmmeetup'er, @elanazak of the Wall Street Journal! She's one cool chick and probably the head of my dog, Gatsby's fan club :)

Tar Heel and all around rockstar, rachaelgk was one of the first people I thought of when putting this little project together. She's now at Sidecar and has been one of the most liked people in the digital industry no matter where's she been. Proud to call her my friend.

Say hi to Michelle Ross, of Shareablee! Michelle has been one of my favorite people to work with since I moved to NY as we worked together on my first BD deal while she was at Meetup... I've been thrilled to see her continue to kick ass and still call her a friend.

I've been saying for years that this woman is an amazing person and mentor... So when I thought of this little project, there was no doubt she'd be one of my first subjects. Say hi to prsarahevans, probably the most stylish social media rockstar at any conference she's at. Oh, and Twitter chats? She started them. NBD.

There was no way this was going to be a serious photo. Say hi to fellow Temple Owl, Kym Bays (@krbays) of @FWD_us! Kym not only rocks it at the helm of FWD.us' social media accounts, but can talk hip and hop and basketball with the best of 'em. If you're in SF, you have to grab a beer with her.
