I’m tired of the whole “OMG LOOK AT THIS WOMAN SHE AGED SO WELL THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU’RE UNPROBLEMATIC” or whatever.

How you look does NOT reflect who you are as a person, and people fucking age the way they age. Women who are 60 who look 60 are fine. Women who look 60 at 40 are fine. AGING IS FINE. You do not need to look like Angela Bassett (who is rich and has doctors/aestheticians/surgeons that you will never have) at 65 in order to be “woman”ing right. You are all doing the patriarchy’s work for it– assessing a woman’s value by her ability to look “young” even when she’s not.

Let women look their age. Their appearance does not reflect who they are as a person. Cut that shit out.
