Once you start thinking about humans as a species in a biome, it affects your entire way of looking at normal things.
The other day I referred to female morning joggers as an 'indicator species' in that if you see women jogging in the dark it means that the environment provides migration pathways (sidewalks, clear signs) and doesn't have any known predators of female morning joggers (guy with knife, bear, BigTruck, male morning joggers).
Though, I think that people consider framing humans as animals reacting to their environment as rude.

Mark’s life was saved because a woman really loved her goats.
And because Lumon is stupid and didn’t realize that making someone whose ENTIRE LIFE is raising goats kill probably her favorite for no good reason might end badly. They gave her a gun and were like yeah this is fine, this is a good plan.
Like I know farmers kill animals they raised and care about all the time, but farmers also get to like, sleep. See the sun. Her whole entire existence, top to bottom, was goats. And Drummond was like yeah kill it, kill as many as I tell you to.

Riz's reward for being the only person in Season 1 of Fantasy High that cared more about the main plot than interpersonal drama is that he gets to be the main character of the Webtoon. Good for you little dude.

the thing about being nonbinary is that you really do start to forget that other people have such strict walls around what is and isn’t allowed for genders. i thought we all agreed that we made that up. could you climb out of the cave real quick and feel the sunshine for a minute.

Imagine Clark going up to Bruce and being like "One of your kids called me Dad." And Bruce is like, "Well, Dick has known you forever. You helped raise him, I'm not surprised he'd eventually call you that. Though the kids Rarely even call me Dad." Clark's like "It wasn't Dick." Bruce is trying to figure out who it was when Clark speaks up again. "It was Damian, I think he's embarrassed now. He's down in the cave looking for the kryptonite."

Authors who post like this are so deliciously unhinged. At this point it’s not even a fic- it’s a literary hostage situation, and i am ✨sat✨ ☕️
