I see Taylor as copying Beyoncé and Lana and other artists. It’s great what she makes but it’s not new and she’s not a leader. Lots of people follow her so she is a leader to them but the true leaders are the once’s she’s copying. IMO.

I’ve been saying Taylor will do the Beyoncé like transition and focus less on hits and more on making herself a respected artist. Taylor has always been an album artist but now she’s putting it solely on that and not pushing a single beforehand. She knows the industry and how at this point in her career she needs to begin a new path.

Well I could care less about promo as long as her music is up to HER standards and for me Lover was not.

Honestly, I’m about to stop listening to her music altogether. Between the mess that was Lover and her faux activism, I can’t take it anymore. I know she said she was educating herself and that she’ll only talk when she has all info, but her silence in a time where many fans have been suffering, or going through a tough time is defining. We’ve been here for her, why can’t she be here for us?

i think we need to consider taylor’s branding as everyone’s best friend & the way it makes a lot of her fans want to go to bat for her even when she’s wrong bc they don’t see her as a white multimillionaire who grew up rich and does not know them, they legitimately see her as a friend. she’s not our friend and she doesn’t know us. you don’t need to defend her when she literally does not know who you are and is rich, famous, and wrong.

seeing fans distance themselves from taylor in response to taylor not supporting and standing up for BLM is actually really amazing. like this is us putting our foot down saying no we will not just sweep the under the rug we will show you the consequences of not representing and supporting a large part of the fandom.

The longer Taylor is silent, the more I’m inclined to believe that her “activism” starts and ends in the areas it personally affects her. There’s no excuse at this point to remain silent.

I don’t think that taylor doesn’t care. I think she genuinely believes that we can vote racism away and that’s why her focus is on elections. It’s a bit naive and I hope she learns more about how deeply corrupt the entire system is from root to end but I’m not gonna keep pressing

I really am sick of taylor ignoring us when we have been so attuned to her issues and quick to defend her and support her. She's barely done anything for blm, she never told us what lover fest is, she ignores our concerns about taylor nation, she makes bad deals and ignores our call outs, she didn't kention the cancelled European tour dates. There's more I'm forgetting, but she can't build her entire reputation on listening to her fans then ignoring us when it's convenient. She can't do that. If she wanted to stay silent on politics, then she shouldn't have ever gotten involved. She can't back out now. She made her choice. She has to stop shooting herself in the foot.
