Honestly, you aren’t normal if you are part of a fandom. You have cringe moments. You have your “abnormality.” Even the so-called sports fans are not acting normally when they are watching their fave teams. They become unhinged when their team loses or hits a score.

If you are a “normie” you aren’t supposed to be enjoying the dark content of Kuroshitsuji. The gags are there simply to set an equilibrium.

It is discouraging to read posts like a tyrant making a list of “etiquette” how to enjoy Black Butler/Kuroshitsuji. The only rule you should abide is the three laws of being in a fandom. That is, don’t mind other people’s business.

I myself ship everyone with Sebastian Michaelis and because this is fiction we can mix and match these characters without equating them to real people but concepts. They are your own dolls, Barbie and Ken dolls, ready to be dressed up. They don’t need protecting because they are NOT REAL people who live and breathe.

Also, don’t be bothered which order of Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler to watch. Your first and foremost priority is to enjoy and satisfy yourself. I watched Kuroshitsuji in reverse, beginning with the “Book of the Atlantic,” and it was all right. Because Yana Toboso has been writing this for more than 15 years, spoilers are unavoidable so it isn’t a big deal.

You don’t like season 2 that’s fine but don’t dictate others to not watch it. Maybe for research purposes. I found it substantial to me because I find that there are a few parallels in the upcoming manga chapters that make me think of what I’ve seen from season 2, but that doesn’t diminish the urge to read the original work every month. In fact, it strengthens it.

Anyway, the rule is there are no rules at all but be polite, respectful and kind towards each other. Wars are happening in the real world, we don’t need unkindness here in this hellsite we call our safe space. If you can’t take it, use the block button instead.

Kuro-Shit (Late August Edition)

Another Haul of Black Butler goods from Japan.

I pre-ordered these "Chibi Style" Acrylic stands and they finally made it to me this week.

They come as a little acrylic slab; You simply pop out the pieces and snap them together.

I didn't buy the entire set this time, as I felt that the two versions of Sebastian were too similar, so instead I bought one of each character available.

However.... I couldn't help but buy the alternative Ciel; in his bedshirt cuddling up with his pillow....

The second and third items, I am over the moon to have found!

I had honestly accepted that I would probably never find the rarer ones;

The Sebastian and Ciel have been released multiple times and are readily available, Grelle I have found a few times online, not sure about the rarity of the Undertaker. But, the Ronald, Ryan and Snake versions seem to have only been available for one small event in Japan.

Sebas when Grelle said that he's 'awfully into' Ciel.

Versus when Ciel (in panic) referred to him as his father. In Tango on the Campania (the musical), his reaction was even more clear. I'd even call it a bit of overreacting.

He doesn't like being referred to as Ciel's father. I'm not sure if it's because it makes him feel old or other, but he didn't seem to mind when other people presumed that he was so into his young master.

I am so in love with this panels, because even if Ciel lies tells Sebastian he did not make the food himself. I am sure it was his idea to make it.

He grew up in a family where they made each other food whenever someone was sick, just to make them happy. His brother, their father and Diedrich made a dinner for their sick mother. And his brother also used to make little meals and cups of milk for Ciel. (That they were probably poisened ... poor honey didn't knew himself.)

However. As I imagine Tanaka, old man knows that Sebastian doesn't eat with the rest of the staff members. And Snake too knows that Sebastian isn't really human - I am sure his snakes told him ... Nevertheless Ciel let them make a meal for Sebastian probably by his own description.

Make it sweet - sweet is always good to get better. And don't forget something healthy like apple slides and banana.

Why the last one is important to notice? Because of this:

Eating an apple and banana benefits child's health in many ways. Just one each of these fruits can meet over 50% Fibre and Vitamin C requirement for the day, solving for Digestion and Immunity.

I can imagine, since Ciel indeed has a lot of immunity issues he always got those two in combination when he was younger.

And since he is still, deep down a cute little soul who cares deeply for those he loves, he wants that demon to get healthy. Fast. So he made them do Sebastian sweet porridge - maybe he even took a taste and found it still wasn't sweet enough, since he also knows that food doesn't taste the same - dull Sebastian said once ... - and made himself some fruit slices for Sebastian before he brought it down to that demon.

Also not forget - he could have ignored the hint of bringing Sebastian the food, just because to make the demon happy ... I mean, if Ciel wouldn't care for Sebastian, he wouldn't even care for the idea of making him happy by bringing him human food ...

All in all this moment is such a big statement of Ciel's envolving feelings for his demon vice versa, who could probably smell, what exactly was made by Ciel thorugh his senses.

Bonus:

It doesn't help Sebastian getting fit again. He doesn't even can enjoy food, because his senses are different than humans. It doesn't makes sense for that demon to eat this. It's not as if Sebastian hadn't thrown food away before. A lot of it. They both had.

The only reason why he should eat something - this insanely sweet porridge - is, to make his litte soul a little bit happier. And also because he doesn't want his little soul to feel as if he wasted his time.
