People saying Enchanté is bad bc everyone knows who Theo ends up with from the start are missing the point so bad it's funny.

This is not a choose your romance plot! The Le Petit Prince motif is important, it's not just a coincidence that the book shows up so much or that Theo is presented as "the prince" and Akk as "the fox." The point of the story is to understand that what makes love special isn't whether someone is uniquely attractive to you but the care and effort one puts into the relationship. It's all about cultivating a healthy relationship with someone you love and care for and treating that person right because they are important to you.

The point of Theo's journey searching for this elusive Enchanté is that it forces him to appreciate the special bond he has with Akk. It exists to force them both into realising the place they've built for the other in their hearts and how no one else can replace it. Enchanté isn't a person, it represents this need in people to find a 'perfect match' and Theo's whole arc shows us how there's no such thing as a perfect match and true love is what we willingly make of our relationships with the people who are special to us. It's about intent! It's about effort and care!

Theo and Akk end up together not because Akk is Theo's perfect match but because they both actively put in the effort of "taming" each other and that is what makes their relationship so special. Intent.

I really liked how Yok drawing dan was not sexualised. The way the camera panned over Dan's naked body and then goes back to Yok's face, this is Yok looking at him like art. Dan is sat there exposed with secrets he can no longer hide.
