the problem with dating apps is there’s no yearning… i feel like true romance involves a little crush and some longing for at least a month or so instead of going straight for a date with someone who doesn’t even know or care about u at all

Autumn, leaves falling, and a new season of activity beginning—October the dawn of the year.

its october, its autumn for some fall for others, its cozy blankets with colourful socks, its dark academia books and libraries, its scented candles and vintage aesthetic, its hot coffee and poetry, its dry leaves turned into most beautiful shade of brown.

"It suddenly gets cold. The sun seems to give less heat," she said, looking about her, for it was bright enough, the grass still a soft deep green, the house starred in its greenery with purple passion flowers, and rooks dropping cool cries from the high blue. But something moved, flashed, turned a silver wing in the air. It was September after all, the middle of September, and past six in the evening.
Virginia Woolf, To The Lighthouse

Autumn makes me want to live in a small town with tons of history and character. Leaf-strewn cobblestone streets. Old buildings and homes that range from small cottages to large estates. Maple, oak, and pine trees line the streets and cluster in yards, and when they all turn orange and gold in the fall it’s the most beautiful sight. Small local businesses thrive. It’s walking distance to your favorite coffee shop or diner. There’s an ancient library on the edge of town with the greatest selection of books, comfy armchairs, tables, and big windows to read by. Time moves slower there. Everything is safe.

I feel so intensely the delights of shutting oneself up in a little world of one's own, with pictures and music and everything beautiful.
