I feel there's a certain element missing in tumblr's "you deserve love as you are right now" philosophy. It's objectively true, yes, you are deserving of love as you are.

HOWEVER

it is also still entirely reasonable and valid to *still want to improve yourself.* Lose/gain that weight. Get that mole removed. Get your teeth fixed. If you have the resources and the want, you should still absolutely make changes to your body that make you more comfortable.

Like yeah, I could probably accept my body as it is and maybe one day even be okay with it. OR i could do what i am doing and crafting the ultimate fighting/fucking/fixing machine and being not just content, not just happy, but PROUD. This bitch is a temple, and i am the god it's made for. Don't tell me to be happy with what I have when I could have what I want. Let people accept themselves, remind them they don't *have* to change, but then give them the room to do so if they still WANT to make changes.
