Loki opened his lips before receiving the kiss, so it proved that he was not surprised. A first tear ran on the side of his cheek near his lips.

A tear slid and was ready to fall from his jaw.

Their lips parted but he kissed her this time, a second time.

She pressed herself a little more against him by that.

His nose caressed her own while their lips parted.

And he kept his eyes closed a moment as to keep the kiss before reopening them again.

He'd just seen the true absurdity of it all. (Geek notes: The stones don't work here - directly from the comics. Laughing when viewing his upcoming death - directly from the comics. Check out the Infinity Wars run - deals with multiverse problems, a possible influence on the show)

& yes - it really feels like a fan fic! & I have a feeling it is. Written by actual fans. Including Hiddleston himself. He has an executive producer credit for the show, & it's not a stretch at all to imagine that he helped in writing some important Loki lines (like Mackey did for Sam's big speech). Hel, the dude held a masterclass on his character for some folks one day on set. If there's anyone who knows this character it's Tom.

Also geek notes: this show is giving me MAJOR Agent of Asgard comic run vibes. I HIGHLY recommend anyone who likes Loki buy the trade. I have a feeling exciting things are coming :-) & it's fun imagining Tom Hiddleston reading those comics for inspiration. Geeks unite! 😆
