Check you laptop drivers and update them if it seems like you need to. Makes everything work better.

Change your heating paste. If you don't even know what I am talking about, go to a electronics repair shop and ask them if they could. Heating paste is put on processor, so the heat can disperse more easily, after 5 years they are crusty and need change.

Don't use Youtube. Not sure how to explain it, but programs and internet nowadays need way more processing power, which in turn drains the battery. It's just Youtube being a specific piece of shit in their holy war against add blockers. So it's not the laptops fault it doesn't hold for as long as it used to, it's the poor optimalization fault.
