Plus, I think people get too hanged on the class warfare aspect of it. Like yeah, it doesn't say much of anything about it because it's not really trying to. I love that one scene in which Hawks goes to check on Sarah (the most obviously traumatized person in the whole town) and just asks how is she doing. Sure, there isn't much else he could do, but there is something almost morbidly funny in how Hawks is well aware of what happened to her and all he can think of doing is just being like "is anything going on lately ma'am?"

Or maybe, a worse possibility, he just straight up doesn't remember Laura anymore (or at least the impact she had on the town) and genuinely can't think of a reason as to why Sarah could be mentally unstable.

If doctor Jacoby is truly the only therapist in the whole town of twin peaks then no surprise everybody is like that. By a certain point he abandons his job to become a far right conspiracy podcaster and the town has literally no one to go to for professional help except other people with equally unresolved trauma or the fucking cops.

It's wild how Rashomon is known as THE film about the human perspective and how we can all make different interpretations from the same situation and then you watch the movie and it's just... Isn't about that. Like, I usually don't want to impose a meaning to a piece of art, but in the film none of the individuals give their own perspective of the same situation and instead each one tells a completely different story, meaning only one version of the story is true or they're all lying.

The Israeli occupation asked us to leave our area as soon as possible because they going to invade it by land, but we didn't leave. Then the shells rained down on us, so we quickly got out and miraculously escaped death. I can't believe I'm still alive, but the worst thing is that now we're sitting in the street and we didn't take clothes, food, or anything from our tent with us, and we don't know where to go or what to do!!! 😭

I hate when I'm watching a youtube video and I think "wow, this person would absolutely love Umineko When They Cry" and know they will likely never read it because why would they listen to some random user in their comment section recommending a 200 hour long visual novel.

It wasn't but at least I can now understand why many thought Mikey deserved the award over Demi. The film really lives or dies because of her performance and without it wouldn't work nearly as well as it does.

I've never been as invested for a possible oscar win as much as Demi Moore for best actress. Like, she can't just come into my life, drop that performance, and leave. No, I NEED her to win that shitty golden statue.

And the fascinating thing of it all is that the ending is a dream Toby had back in like 2011. What did he dream? What could have he possibly dreamed off that made it a necessity to start developing a videogame off it? To create W.D Gaster and the borderline arg surrounding his character? What could have it been? Everything just makes me more excited to see the story finally continue this year.

Having now seen The Return, I don't agree with this interpretation anymore. I do think Cooper is showing Laura the angel is to comfort her so she can see how beloved she was, but I don't think it was his initial goal. I think he at first wanted to rewrite history and save her from dying but because he failed he showed her the angel to compensate for it.

So like, I don't really know what is the general consensus is so maybe this is a common opinion (or maybe just wrong, I haven't seen The Return yet). But my interpretation of the ending of Fire Walk With Me is that the angel is all the love, grief, and compassion the town of twin peaks had for Laura, and how it was completely changed and moved by her death.

This is why the angel shows up in the red room, a world you enter by dreaming, and what are dreams if not memories. The angels may never appear during life, but they will always appear after death.

Laura's reaction is a mixture of many intense emotions. Strong joy, happiness, and relief because she can finally see in full force how much she was truly loved and cared for everybody, but it's also an intense frustration and angst at the fact she can only see it now during death and not when she lived.

In a more literal sense. I think what is happening is that Cooper, now trapped on it, is using the red room with help of it's inhabitants to traverse through time and show Laura how much of an impact she had on the whole town. An attempt to help the girl he knew was going to die but had no way to save her, helping a victim in a meaningful way by showing her she was loved instead of just trying to keep them away from danger which he always fails to do.

Like, every time I think about it these days I mostly only think about the parts I dislike that I don't see anybody else in the fandom have a problem with.

I don't like a lot of part 2, I don't like Kira, I don't like Giorno, I don't like Diavolo, I HATE the climax of part 5, I don't like Araki's obsession with developing characters right before killing them (even part 6 suffers from this), the bizarre humor can be funny but there's also many cases of it just not landing, etc. etc. etc.

To me, JoJo it's a very ambitious and experimental series and because of it it's okey if not everything works perfectly to me. I'm just confused that "parts 1-6 have good writing all through" seem to be such a wide spread opinion, like you would think it would be more controversial (or at least that's what I thought).

The main universe of JoJo is in this weird spot in which I still enjoy all most if not all of it and I could easily fixate it into it again but in retrospect outside from part 6 and some key episodes and ideas, I dislike a lot of it's writing and even when I was at the peak of my obsession with it I was surprised that it seemed so universally praised writing wise.

This specially applies to part 4, I swear I've seen a different part from everybody else because I just do not get what people see in that part (this also applies to Kira, most unserious villain ever istg).
