OP is yet another perfect example of why things are set up the way they are.

Alex Padilla is a big deal.

This isn't even the same situation anyways. They didn't take T'Challa and racebend him and try to say doing so improves things, it's a different character. From the original blurb at least, there's not even any direct indication that he's replacing T'Challa in the story, it's a new character gaining the Black Panther mantle as according to Wakandan tradition, it even sounds like T'Challa will still be around and have an important role considering the connection between the two detailed in the premise. Hell, what I think is really telling on themselves are that these people seem more upset about the idea of T'Challa hooking up with a white woman than anything.
Of course this being Marvel there's still a chance for them to fuck it up, but it doesn't seem like the last several attempts going the other way where they either race/gender swapped the original character, or introduced a new, more 'diverse' character in such a way as to just throw the previous character by the wayside entirely. And that's assuming they're not trying to set him up to become Killmonger 2.0 or something.

This is going to make some people very unhappy, to say the least

As someone who lives in Austin, yup.
Also as born and raised in Austin, it doesn't surprise me at all that this lady is in Houston. If this kind of story was gonna come out of any city in our state, of course it would be from fucking Houston.
A pediatrician has been fired over a vile post suggesting that the more than 80 killed in the horrific Texas floods — including dozens of kids — were President Trump supporters who got “what they voted for.”
Dr. Christina B. Propst drew widespread scorn following the disparaging, since-deleted post under her old Facebook username, Chris Tina, according to Mediaite.
“May all visitors, children, non-MAGA voters and pets be safe and dry,” Probst wrote in the now-viral post.
“Kerr County MAGA voted to gut FEMA. They deny climate change. May they get what they voted for. Bless their hearts.”
The Facebook post quickly went viral after a screenshot was shared by Libs of TikTok.
Propst’s employer, Blue Fish Pediatrics, initially said the employee had been suspended — before announcing that “the individual is no longer employed” there.
“As we previously mentioned in our original statement, we strongly condemn the comments that were made in that post. That post does not reflect the values, standards, or mission of Blue Fish Pediatrics,” the company said.
“We do not support or condone any statement that politicizes tragedy, diminishes human dignity, or fails to clearly uphold compassion for every child and family, regardless of background or beliefs,” the doctor’s office added.
A previous initial statement saying that she had been placed on leave was shared by the head of the Texas Medical Board, Dr. Sherif Zaafran.
“There is no place for politicization. The entire focus needs to be on looking for survivors. Any complaints we may receive will be thoroughly investigated,” he posted on X.
The Texas Medical Board has not announced a formal investigation.
The callous post prompted immense backlash online.
“Please tell us this person is not allowed anywhere near patients in Texas?” one social media user wrote.
“We are residents here, and find this behind horrific & also very dangerous. Please help,” they added.
“This is the sort of pediatric clinician employed at @BlueFishMD in Houston. The ethics, humanity and empathy illustrated here is unfathomable,” wrote another.
The doctor appeared to have changed her username and profile image on Facebook since the post went viral, several X users noted.
Propst’s profile pages were taken down from both the Blue Fish Pediatrics site and the website for Memorial Hermann Health System, which is associated with Blue Fish Pediatrics.
Memorial Hermann also acknowledged the controversy in a statement.
“We are aware of statements made by a physician on social media and strongly condemn these statements. This provider is not employed by Memorial Hermann. We have zero tolerance for such rhetoric which does not reflect the mission, vision or values of our system,” the healthcare system said.
Kerr County, home to around 50,000 people, overwhelmingly voted for President Trump in the November election, with more than 76% of the county’s votes going to the Republican presidential candidate, according to county data.
At least 82 people have been killed in the flash flooding, according to local officials.
Camp Mystic, an all-girls Christian summer camp located along the banks of the Guadalupe River, confirmed on Monday that 27 campers and counselors had been killed.

Honestly probably also counts as foreshadowing.
Most people would say something closer to 'be on your best behavior' or 'have it on a leash' or even 'model pet'. However, he specifically uses the term 'model citizen', like he knows that Stitch isn't just an animal.
Give it up to Cobra Bubbles regaining his composure and going back to business with Nani after having Stitch randomly chuck a heavy ass book at his face like that.
He probably was fuming by the time he got into his car after his shades became a casualty of the attack.

I'll admit, it's been quite a while since I've watched the movie, but are you telling me the plot of Zootopia is about the stopping the original plot of Zootopia from happening?

Reminder that this is not only intentional but even worse, since it was revealed most of the studios doing this actively look for showrunners who outright *dislike* the original work.
can we like, have adaptations made by people who care about the thing they're adapting

And then it came out that something like, what, over a quarter of that choir were registered sex offenders? Just to make the look even worse on top of it all.
Not to mention the "We're coming for your children" song also pretty supports the fundamentalists' "being gay is a choice and therefore a sin" argument by threatening to "convert" children.
YES EXACTLY
It's amazing how much modern day LGBT activism is indistinguishable from fundie homophobia from 50 years ago.

Hell, the current guidelines for the Oscars all but directly say that the movie has to straight up be about woke politics in order to qualify for any nominations.

I know very little about this film except the trans subject matter, and that it has truly appalling songs, but it's hilarious it has all those Oscar nominations when it is this disliked by the audience of the country in which it is set, and is guaranteed to be forgotten by everyone a year from now.
It made me think of that "gay, black" film Moonlight, that won Best Picture 9 years ago, and how I haven't heard a single person mention it online or offline since that year. I even had to look up "best picture winners" on Wikipedia to remember the name. But according to the academy, that was the greatest motion picture of its time. Entirely forgotten today.
Whereas, if I go back through the list another decade, there are films like The Departed and No Country For Old Men winning that award, that millions of people still love and esteem and regularly talk about and recommend to others.
Another decade earlier, it's The Silence of The Lambs, Unforgiven, Schindler's List, Forrest Gump, Braveheart, The English Patient and Titanic - again: films literally everyone still know and love today, 30 years on.
The Oscars used to be a benchmark for timeless excellence in the cinematic arts, but now The Oscars are just a measuring stick for how far Hollywood has fallen into virtue signaling, ideological propaganda, incompetence and mediocrity.

Something in his bio rang a bell of familiarity and for anyone who wants an example of the 'creativity' to come out of the Church of the Creator: https://1d6chan.miraheze.org/wiki/Racial_Holy_War
Bonus Points: The founder of the 'religion' was a Ukrainian immigrant fleeing from Russian oppression.

Seeing as the not only murder, but murder as a regular monthly occurrence, is being considered just as weighty as having to do laundry or wash the dishes, they somehow managed to make brown come across even more psychopathic than if it had just been 'Get the Death Note'. Like just 'oh, not too much killing, just once a month, you know, to treat myself'.

Of course, because if they didn't, they'd have to actually look at and try to understand the situation, and if they did that they'd have to realize they are not Belle, they are the villagers.

For anyone curious, they don't bother mentioning whether you can eat the pigs cuz wild hogs like that it's debatable whether it's even worth the bother, since you gotta rush to get the meat on ice (which would not be particularly feasible for a helicopter hunting trip), and depending on what they had to eat in the area the meat could just end up being too tough and flavorless to bother.

Ironically, OP and their reply there are both perfect examples of why reeducation camps are evil and wrong.
Maybe i am just an evil tankie but i like legit dont get why reeducation camps are considered bad. I dont mean like i dont think reeducation camps cant be abused or used for the wrong reasons but like so many people on tumblr act like they're inheirently evil and wrong and i just dont understand that? Wouldnt like reeducating your opponents and hopefully teach them why they are wrong be preferable to the alternative solution of firing squad? because like if you dont reeducate right wingers or nazis then you have to kill or imprison them. As much as i know this website love its you gotta tollerate everyone no matter what ism, that kinda shit does not work in real life and is at best idealized nonsense. If you cant reeducate right wingers or nazis then you got to kill or otherwise get rid of them. You cant just tolerate them in your society and hope they suddenly get a change of heart and stop being right wing or nazis.

Oh boy, a whole... 100 people.
In a country of over 330 million.
Looking up a *South Korean* political movement.
Couldn't totally just be a tiny handful of people hearing of it for the first time from the 'We don't have to explain or contextualize anything, Google is right there!' crowd and deciding to look it up. Clearly this must mean it's a massive resistance cry from the poor and oppressed, take that conservatives!

holy shit
