Love Sam and Dean and everything about their brotherly relationship, it is and always will be the heart of Supernatural, I am obsessed with the codependency. Proud Bibro, Sam and Dean are platonic soulmates in my eyes. Primarily a Jared/Sam girl. I'm cool with Wincest but I don’t ship it. Cover photo credit: LadyJenny on deviantart.com

I love how spn is like the classic trolley problem except its Sam or Dean trapped on one track and 7,999,999,998 people trapped on the other

Ain't no way that levers getting pulled

The great thing, is that Sam chooses Dean. Dean is sometimes so shocked by it, that Sam could love or care about him, but Sam always reiterates "no no, I like you, I want you. I don't want to be on my own. I want my family, and that is you."
He doesn't come crawling back like a dog, he doesn't make a "choice" with no actual options. He knows Dean, and he sees Dean, for ALL that he is, and he says "you're my brother, and I still love you."
He accepts him fully, he loves it all (even the bits that Dean himself doesn't like), and again and again he slots himself in, right next Dean, because that is where he belongs, that is where he DESIRES to be, that is what he is claiming for his own.

As someone who just started rewatching Supernatural and is almost done with season 1, I can confirm these are definitely the vibes.
Started rewatching Supernatural from the first season, and I absolutely understand why the first Wincest fanfic was written right after the first episode was aired.
And I'm not even talking about the obvious stuff like "Easy, tiger."
I'm talking about: The very first parallel in the show's history, where Dean and Sam are compared to a romantic couple Guy talking to his girlfriend when he sees the Woman in White - Sam talking to Dean when he sees the Woman in White
This scene where Sam says he's never been unfaithful, and the ghost tells him he will be. And the interesting thing is that at this point he's basically not fully faithful to Jessica anymore (because he already chose Dean over her), and he never was. Only Dean knows Sam completely, while Sam himself confirms that he was going to hide his life as a hunter from Jessica until the very end.
The scene with Dean saying he'll take Sam home when the entire episode was built on the concept of a ghost woman seducing unfaithful men and asking them to take her home, and they agree to it.
(As we know, Dean, like Sam, has subsequently always left all his love interests to be with Sam.)
And that crazy ending where Dean saves Sam from the fire, but that's not even the main thing about that scene. The fact that Dean basically stayed and was going to go back to Sam, even though they'd already said goodbye and decided to go their separate ways again. And the fact that Dean ran into the house so fast only means two things — Dean was close enough that he heard Sam scream and rushed inside, and if he was that close, that meant he was standing outside the door again, gathering his thoughts to go inside and talk to Sam, afraid that Sam wouldn't accept him.
This series is literally "The epic love story of Sam and Dean" and it was like that from the very beginning.

Hey tumblr, it’s been a hot minute. Some Supernatural and J2 related updates from me for anyone who cares:
1. First and foremost I still love the shit out of Sam and Dean. I have for going on 13 years and I don’t foresee that ever changing regardless of what happens in the lives of the actors or anyone else’s real life. Sam and Dean hugging each other is the first thing I see when I wake up in the morning and the last thing I see before I go to bed at night. The characters to me are different entities than the actors.
2. I am still firmly team Jared but I am not a Jensen hater or anti Jensen. I’ve forgiven him as much as I can for prequelgate and I am indifferent to him at this point in time. I even gave his new show countdown a try- it’s alright, but I’m not sure yet if I want to watch more. I’m not much for heavy action shows. I am interested in the brain cancer storyline though.
3. I do still enjoy J2’s friendship and interactions and I do believe that their friendship is real and not just some PR stunt to make Jensen look better after prequelgate or whatever. I think Jared has too much love and respect for himself at this point in his life to be putting on a front for the cameras with someone who hurt him the way Jensen did 4 years ago. Jared would not sit back and swallow his feelings while making up stories about fake J2 outings and fake phone conversations at cons and letting Jensen say his kids still call Jared uncle Jared and vice versa. If Jared didn’t think Jensen was deserving of his friendship anymore, I think we’d know.
4. Related to the above, the biggest reason I’ve chosen to forgive Jensen for the most part is because it seems that Jared has and I trust Jared’s judgement. I am a Jared fan first but if Jared says he can sit at the table, than he can sit at the table- so to speak. My feelings on Jensen will never be the same as the were before prequel gate and I’m sure Jared and Jensen’s relationship will never be exactly the same either, but it does make me happy that it seems there is/was enough genuine love between them to maintain their friendship even after that fallout.
5. Back to the fun fandom part, I just recently started a full Supernatural rewatch and am at the end of season 1! (On DVD, with the original music of course). I’m loving falling in love with my beautiful boys Sam and Dean again- I might be on here musing about them from time to time 💕.
TL;DR: I still love Sam and Dean and Supernatural. I am team Jared and indifferent to Jensen. I still enjoy the J2 friendship.

The thing that astounds me about Jack Pearson is that he should not have turned out to be as good of a person as he did. He not only survived a horrible childhood, Vietnam, his estrangement from his brother, a raging case of PTSD, and his own genetic legacy, but he thrived in spite of those things. Married the love of his life, had three beautiful kids who worshipped him, supported his family, and was finally beginning to successfully fight his addiction when he died. He didn't do everything perfectly but he could have been lost to alcoholism or suicide or violence at so many points along the way and he did end up getting almost everything he wanted. I think that's a beautiful legacy and that it especially resonates with people who loved Milo on Gilmore Girls, because Jess could have been lost at so many points along the way and yet he wasn't. He ended up triumphing in the end and becoming a great man, albeit in a very different way.

So I’ve been on a This is Us binge and I just finished the series finale. That show is seriously legendary, one for the books.
I was thinking about what Kevin, Kate, and Randall’s version of “The Train” will be when they cross over into the afterlife someday.
Given that they said the first thing they see when they think about family is each other and their parents, my first thought was the old Pearson family car. Imagine them dying and waking up in the backseat as a kid/teen, with Rebecca in the front seat and Jack driving 🥹.

Don’t mind me I’ll just be over here getting emotional over Milo Ventimiglia going to Niles Fitch’s college graduation because it’s something Jack never got to see Randall do 🥹💜.
