Slinkies were fun growing up because they were so flexible and you can make so many different forms out of them. They are TEMPORARY - don’t retain their forms without you holding them, which could be a cool element to have in public space where interactions are IN PASSING and ALWAYS CHANGING. 
We can also potentially can activate some sort of image-making activity using the FACADE of slinky, like the smiley face one above.

Fluffy foam is cool because it doesn’t get your hands dirty like slime, and could potentially be produced at a larger scale so you can SIT ON IT, MOLD your own furniture in public space... COMBINE your piece with another person’s to make something BIGGER/CRAZIER...

Eye Spy children’s games - your eyes are QUICKLY SCANNING the materials (texture, color, shape, size) while you try to IDENTIFY a specific item. This could be ax exercise where people can get to know the materials
