Well I'm back to going to the gym. I took a break today and yesterday, I'm going again tomorrow. So far the treadmill and the elliptical have been my most used machines. The elliptical (according to Google and my doctor) can help with my shin splints. And so far it is. I like the exersise bike a lot, but I do enough of that every weekday as a bike to work. With the zombies run 5k coming up, I feel like I can do better than last time if I keep working on the shin splints.. I wish the gym at my apartment complex had a mirror in front of a treadmill so I could watch my running form.

10 things I’ve learned with anxiety and the gym:
Don’t be afraid to ask anyone for help, especially the weight room attendants. They are there to help you. That’s literally their job.
If you’re too anxious to ask a stranger about a machine, most machines have instructions posted on them (in fact, it’s required by gyms that all machines have this). Read. Try. Do.
If you feel to uncomfortable trying a machine you’ve never done before, and anxious that people will be watching (they won’t), write the machine down. Go home and YouTube/google the machine so you can try it next time.
Don’t be afraid to try something new. This is how you work different muscles. This is how you step out of your comfort zone.
Sweat is normal. Boob sweat, bum sweat, tummy sweat, thigh sweat. All sweat is normal. You’re human.
People aren’t staring at your sweat. The more you sweat, the more I can guarantee people are thinking “damn, they’re working hard.”
The 10 pound weights you’re lifting are just as badass as the 70 pound weights that the person beside you is lifting.
If people are looking at you, they’re likely admiring not judging. Don’t let that little voice in your head tell you different.
The person beside you cannot hear your music because they themselves also have they’re music blasting.
When you’re looking in the mirror and your anxiety is telling you everything that is aesthetically wrong with you, remember where you are. You woke up and chose you. You chose to work on you, to grow, and to be better. You are strong. There’s nothing more beautiful then choosing you.

Share option in the app wasn't working, so I figured out a workaround. The couch to 5k training app is helping a lot. I do it between running days. I still need to work on my running form. I just need to actually do some studying instead of trying different things. Like YouTube vids or something to reference.

So tired. But very happy with how I performed. Easily my personal best. I need to work on pacing. My running form needs a lot of work.. It has been dubbed "The Frankenstein" by my running buddy @stressedspidergirlsfitnessblog lol. Thank you for being a friend and motivator to be better.

Fitblr Intoduction
Hello, my name is Nick and I'm on a journey. While it has had plenty of monsters so far (some of which I have turned into allies), I'm tackling one of the big enemies who torments me almost daily: General Selfi Mage. Dadum tss. So obviously I need to train. Since I'm not a spellcaster I'll need to rely on raw physical ability. But I'm not alone in this, it seems there are many out there who find themselves in similar peril. So let us share knowlege of workout routines, potions and crafting recipes so we might defeat this villainous mage together.
I like to explore so I'm hoping my travels take me to wonderous lands with new adventures and mysteries.
I'm relatively new to Tumblr and kind of shy, but I like making new friends! @hypnotic-spectre is my non fitblr blog if anyone cares, feel free to follow!
