I mentioned making Magic The Gathering cards for the characters in my Theros DnD game a little while ago, and here they are!
I wanted them to all be playable while still reflecting things the characters could do in DnD. I was really happy with how they came out, my only regret was it would be really hard to play all five in the same deck

My most recent piece so far is Morganna again. Here we see her again post retirement grabbing some ice cream for herself and her adventuring party at a summer festival.
I started this at the end of September last year as a sort of farewell to summer, I would not finish till winter but ah well. My friend showed me gradient mapping in procreate as I was working on this one and it was everything I wanted in terms of playing with lighting! I got to do all my luma work in greyscale and map the colors to the image in a way that let them be influenced by the ambient light in a way I had never been able to achieve before. This was a gamechanger! I even tried some shiny leather which I had a lot of fun with too!

This is a group shot from a DnD campaign my friends and I just completed. Our game was set in the Magic the Gathering world of Theros, which is Magic's take on a Hellenic setting.
From left to right we have Aria, the Lightning Weaver, A human Storm Sorcerer and an oracle, who's abilities guided us on our adventure. Next is my character Natrix, The Storyteller, (A Gorgon Bard) who didn't believe she could be a hero herself so she told the stories of heroes.
Sitting next to her is Kida, Traveling Scholar (A Triton Cleric/Fighter) and Natrix best friend and mentor, who showed her there was more to life than the cult she grew up in. The dynamic between these two was a lot of fun to be a part of!
Next is Kaphissa Leonin Exile (A Leonin Paladin) who left her people as the Leonin don't usually follow the gods on Theros. She tolerated us in the beginning bur we all eventually became part of her pride and Kaphissa had one of the most satisfying character arcs of the group! in the back is a mysterious wanderer who was eventually revealed to be the Plainswalker Elspeth who helped us at points along our journey.
I had so much fun with this game used this image to make everyone a custom magic card of their character!
This was my first time working with multiple characters in one image, so naturally I cheated drawing them all separately and then hoping they would all work together...I got incredibly lucky I now realize.

This is a character I got to play in a Monster of the Week game. Great game very much recommend it by the way! Her name is Hailey and during the game she was a C.I.T at Camp Crescent, a fictional summer camp in the woods of Maine in the bygone era of 2003. She used the Flake as her playbook and was a ton of fun to play as she and a select group of campers found themselves in the middle of a power play for the area between the Fey (Who had possessed Hailey's sister Holly) and one rather Rude Demon.
This was my first real attempt at playing with lighting and I had a lot of fun with everything here especially the moon on the water. I want to revisit this one some day!

Here's another Morganna, this time just standing on the beach, probably cuz there were no waves that day.
I was working on Procreate by now, so I actually have the dates for this one. It was finished in mid 2022 though I feel like I did it ages before that. Procreate sure is a lot friendlier than my old Huion tablet. I really had a good time on this one and it really made me want to play with lighting more.

This was my first real attempt at digital art. I did it on a cheap Huion tablet in Fire Alpaca and completed mid 2019 if I recall correctly. It features one of my favorite DnD characters Morganna Song (A blade singer Wizard/Rogue Multiclass for anyone interested) enjoying life post retirement from adventuring.
