Hello! This mod adds consequences to the way you play your Sims, because in game there are none, and it's weird to play a Sim from birth to death and have nothing to show for it.
What it does is tracking down how happy or sad your Sims have been during each stage of their lives and adding a reward trait to remember it.
The mod tracks down only the Happy and Sad moods, because those are the major ones.
There are three stages of satisfaction: very satisfied (100%), very unsatisfied (-100%) and neither (0). Every Sim starts with a neutral satisfaction and builds it as you make them happy or sad.
There are three options of this mod:
Short for short life spans or very easy gameplay. Every time your sim is happy they increase 10 satisfaction points, shorter lifestages (child, toddler, elder and teen) get 20. The sad mood reduces the satisfaction of 10 points.
Medium for medium life spans or moderate gameplay. Every time your sim is happy they increase 5 satisfaction points, shorter lifestages (child, toddler, elder) get 10. The sad mood reduces the satisfaction of 10 points.
Long for long life spans or hardcore gameplay. Every time your sim is happy they increase 2 satisfaction points, shorter lifestages (child, toddler, elder) get 4. The sad mood reduces the satisfaction of 10 points.
Also included in the mod:
Interaction "Ask about General Satisfaction" that will tell you how satisfied another Sim is with their lives, if you have a friendly relationship with them.
Interactions "Ask about the Past" for each life stage the Sim has already lived, these are middle score interactions that only appear if you chat with them a bit.
A reward trait elders get on aging up if they have at least 3 other happy lifestages: Good Life. Elders who had a good life can tell stories about the stages they have a happy trait for.
The mod adds random lifestage traits to unplayed sims you greet, provided that they have never been played.

Updated it so it uses a script and not overrides anymore, to avoid conflicts with other mods! Also added a shorter 12 days version!

LONGER, REALISTIC MOURNING
Welcome to my blog!
This is the first mod I try to share online.
I've been modding my game for almost a year now, I started because I couldn't find some mods I really really needed for my game. My mods were never good enough to share.
Recently, my Sim's mother died in game, and it always annoyed me how shallow these Sims can be about their loved ones. I wanted my Sim to feel... more about her loss. So I did this mod, and I think it turned out well enough to be shared.
With this mod, the griefing process will take longer: 24 days or 12 days depending on the flavour you chose. But don't worry! Your Sims will not be in a sad mood the whole time!
The griefing starts when your Sims' first moodlet about the death goes away, they will start processing their loss. Your Sims will get a sad mood from time to time reminding them of what just happened

They'll go through the first 5 stages of grief in roughly 6 days, then the moodlet will become less powerful and appear less and less often.

The intervals are:
First stage - 12h / Second Stage - 24h / Third Stage - 2 days /Fourth Stage - 3 days /Fifth Stage - 4 days
The 12 days version decays twice as fast do everything else too is a bit faster.
By the 24th (or 12th) day they'll be over their grief.
This will happen only about the loss of family (if not disliked) and friendly relationships.

PUT ONLY ONE OF THE TWO VERSIONS IN YOUR GAME, NOT BOTH!
