If you don't already know who Pauli Murray is, you should. Born in 1910, they were a key figure in the Civil Rights movement, organizing around the intersections of race and gender. They coined the term Jane Crow, criticizing the respectable movement leaders for disregarding women in their campaigns.

As someone we might now understand as a trans man, Pauli requested testosterone treatments in the 1930s but was denied due to not being intersex.

Pauli should be celebrated, and I hope this erasure inspires more people to learn about them.
