I have wanted to see a compilation of fans singing/performing Stand Tall just about ever since the show came out, and now is as appropriate a time as ever to make it happen. Since the news of Netflix canceling Julie and the Phantoms is heartbreaking for all of us, we deserve to at least honor in spectacular fashion. The show is about overcoming grief and rising above the pain, and that still resonates within us. So if you want to join in this video, here's what we're going to do!

Record yourself singing or playing any of the band's parts on whatever instrument/harmony, for either the entirety of the song or just your favorite portion.

If you don't want your face to be in the video and audio recording is great!

Submit files by the end of Dec. 31st, MST. You can simply message this account with a link to your file, or I have created an email for this project that I can give if asked.

This will be posted on YouTube, hopefully to be seen by Kenny, the cast, and the creators.

This fandom is so wonderful, so supportive, and so full of talent. I'm looking forward to putting this together and showing Netflix they can't kill us.

Hi my name is %n Beanie Owen Charlie Jeremy Ghost and I have an orange beanie (that’s how I got my name, sorry Beanie) with pink streaks and red tips that reaches my mid-back and friendly brown orbs like butter and a lot of people tell me I look like Booboo Stewart (AN: if u don’t know who she is get da hell out of here!). I’m not related to Kenny Ortega but I wish I was because he’s a major fucking genius. I’m a band fan but my teeth are straight and white. I have so many cutoff shirts. I’ve also been secretly sold to Sunset Curve by my mom (I’m seventeen). I’m a goth (in case you couldn’t tell) and I wear mostly black. I love The Petal Pushers and I buy all my clothes from there. For example today I was wearing a black cutoff shirt with matching lace around it and a black leather miniskirt, pink fishnets and black combat boots. I was wearing black lipstick, white foundation, black eyeliner and red eye shadow. I was walking outside the Orpheum. It was snowing and raining so there was no sun, which I was very happy about. A lot of preps stared at me. I put up my middle finger at them.

%N woke to a strange noise at her window. Hesitantly, she got up, what would be out there at 1 in the morning? But, as %N got closer, she realized what, more like who, it was. 

Luke Patterson. 

Immediately, she opened the window and Luke fell in. 

“Luke! What the hell?! What are you doing here?” %N shouted.

“Had a fight with my mom….can I stay here?” He asked sheepishly. %N frowned. She may need sleep, but Luke needed her. And that was always more important. %N nodded and opened her arms towards him. Like a magnet, he drew closer to her and she wrapped her arms around him.

%N didn’t know what was going on, but she knew that Luke just needed to be held, and that’s what she was going to do. Even if that meant she would be sleeping in all her classes tomorrow and failing her test and inadvertently getting sold to sunset curve.
